Impact of low TRP: Tamanna out of Master Chef program

0

Milk beauty Tamanna is out of the Master chef program being telecast in Gemini TV. Reportedly, poor TRP ratings for the show have negatively impacted her continuation in the show. Details as follows

Gemini TV had planned two grand programs recently to make a comeback – Evaru Meelo Koteeswarudu and Master Chef. It is known news that Gemini Tv, that was ruling the roost in 90s is now confined to 4th place after Star MAA, Zee Telugu and ETV. Gemini management thought these 2 programs will help the channel at least to move by one rank defeating ETV ratings so that Gemini can settle at 3rd position. But, both of these programs failed to lift Gemini tv viewership and the channel is still at the bottom of the list.

However, Gemini tv has spent huge on both these programs and the ratings for both these programs are not in sync with the revenue generated by these programs. So Gemini management has started damage control activities to reduce the losses. Reportedly, Gemini management is planning to replace Tamanna with a regular anchor like Anasuya or some others. There may be a grand send off to Tamanna by Gemini TV. Even though Evaru Meelo Koteeswarudu program also has been generat low TRP ratings, there will be no changes for this program at this moment and the makers are still hopeful of improving TRP ratings once IPL matches , that are telecast at the same time, are over.

We need to wait and see whether Gemini will be able to improve ratings with these changes.

Tamannaah Bhatia: Stardom not the reason to pursue acting

0

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia started her career in acting at the tender age of 15. However, she says stardom was not the reason she got into the world of glitz and glamour.

As of today, the 31-year-old actress is one of the most prominent names down south as she has worked in blockbusters such as the ‘Baahubali’ franchise, ‘Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavanace’, ‘K.G.F: Chapter 1’ and ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ among many others.

Has losing stardom ever been a fear for Tamannaah?

Tamannaah in a chat with IANS said: “When I started working at 15, honestly stardom was really not the reason I got into movies. I just wanted to be in front of the camera and whatever would bring me that I would have chosen that path.”

The actress has a whopping fan following of 14.3 million on Instagram and 5.1 million on Twitter.

She feels fortunate to see such a high courtesy her hard work.

“So, for me I feel fortunate to see that kind of stardom and continue to see that. But that is not the reason for pursuing this career. It is more of something I do because it gives me a sense of fulfilment on a daily basis so being on the sets is what excites me,” she said.

However, she minces no words when she says that no one wants to lose the hard earned stardom.

“So, of course, it is something nobody wants to lose but I don’t function from that fear stand point,” she said.

Tamannaah Bhatia: My idea is to not let image take over work I want to do

0

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has been acting for 16 years now. She has won a large fan base as one of the top glam queens of the South, and has also impressed as an actress of substance with select roles. She feels her idea is to not let any particular image dictate the kind of work she wants to do.

Tamannah made her acting debut in 2005 at the age of 15 with the Hindi film “Chand Sa Roshan Chehra”. The same year, she made her Telugu debut with “Sri” and the following year she made her Tamil debut with “Kedi”.

“I have evolved as a person and at every different point of time. I have continuously worked, so for me, most of my life is divided into the films I have worked on. I enjoy it. For me, it is as new as it was on the first day,” Tamannaah told IANS.

She feels the process of breaking an image has become challenging now.

“In fact, it is a lot more challenging now because I feel like there is a constant need of unlearning and you are making something that has already been created in terms of an image, and moving forward my idea is to not let an image take over the kind of work I want to do. I want the work to kind of precede that,” she said.

Tamannah, who was recently seen in the web-series “November Story” on Disney+ Hotstar VIP, is now gearing up for the Telugu remake of the Hindi thriller “Andhadhun”. The Telugu version is directed by Merlapaka Gandhi.

Tamannaah Bhatia: A thriller has the ability to let you binge-watch

1

South star Tamannaah Bhatia feels choosing a role in a thriller can always be an advantage for an actor because the genre has a high binge quotient.

This year, Tamannaah made her digital debut in April with the Telugu web series “11th Hour”, a crime thriller that also features Adith Arun and Vamsi Krishna.

In May, she returned to OTT space again with the Tamil whodunit drama “November Story” alongside Pasupathy, GM Kumar, Aruldass and Vivek Prasanna.

“A thriller, if done well, has the ability to let you binge-watch. Now that is essentially what everybody who makes a show wants you to do. So, when you choose a genre like the thriller, if it is done well, it has a high potential of reaching that goal of being a binge-watchable show,” she says.

“11th Hour” streams on Aha while “November Story” is on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.

Tamannaah Bhatia: Idea of a star is changing rapidly

1

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia feels the star culture is changing rapidly after the boom in the digital space.

Tamannaah has been one of the biggest names in the Tamil and Telugu industries for well over a decade, and has also acted in Bollywood and Kannada films. After tasting success on the big screen, she has now forayed the digital space. This year, she was seen in the web series “The 11th Hour” and, more recently, “November Story”.

She doesn’t feel the need to choose between the two mediums, of course. “There is nothing to choose from because at least in my case I get to have both. I just feel that the fan following one could have amassed, say, 10 years ago will be tricky for the generation today, because with the situation we are in, owing to the pandemic, emotions around films are different. The way cinema is viewed is going to be different,” Tamannaah told IANS.

“So, the whole idea of a star itself is changing very rapidly, and people are watching content and liking content for the content and not just for an individual actor or individual talent,” she added.

Tamannaah feels fortunate that she amassed a loyal fanbase through cinema. “I think the idea of stardom I saw 10 years ago was probably the most organic way of developing a loyal fan following, which I have been fortunate to experience,” she said.

Talking about her new show, the crime thriller “November Story”, the actress says it’s not every day when one gets a character that has a detailed emotion graph.

“I have never been a part of a crime thriller before. So, the genre for me is new and it got me to explore primarily a father-daughter relationship. There were many angles to this as to why it became unique and new for me, and it was literally like keeping the tension going through the show in every scene. It was challenging and I had never done that in my career,” she said, about the seven-episode whodunit that also features Pasupathy, GM Kumar, Aruldass and Vivek Prasanna, and airs on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.

Tamannaah’s November Story Review

1

Tamannaah made her debut into digital space with 11th Hour directed by Praveen Sattaru and that was a disappointment. She is testing her luck for the second time with a seven-episode web series that is titled November Story. This crime thriller is streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar and is directed by Indhra Subramanian. Tamannaah plays Anu, a hacker and her life changes after her fathers gets named in a crime that he has never done. The rest of November Story is all about what happens to her father and how she unfolds the truth.

The biggest disappointment of November Story is the slow pace. The director takes ample time to introduce the characters and establish the premises. Except for the last two episodes, November Story is just a boring watch as it happens on a flat note. Any crime thriller has to be gripping with enough number of twists. But unfortunately, November Story has predictable twists which will never thrill the audience. The basic plot sounds interesting but the narration makes November Story fall flat.

Tamannaah fits well in the role of Anu and she delivers a decent performance throughout. Pasupathy is the other notable actor in November Story and he is at his best. GM Kumar is decent in the assignment and Vivek Prasanna makes a good impact. The background score is good and the cinematography work should have been better. The production values are ok. The director fails badly in making November Story a thrilling ride. November Story has lengthy episodes without interesting twists. November Story is one more disappointment for Tamannaah as it makes a tedious watch.

I have never watched a crime thriller series that is so complex and intriguing at the same time, and one that engages audiences in every episode like an authentic whodunit,” she says.

“What commences as a plain Jane murder spirals into the unleashing of a series of hair-raising events interlaced with a multitude of characters and narratives that come to the fore, raising more and more questions while building mystery around the killer and motive,” she promises.

The seven-episode whodunit also features Pasupathy, GM Kumar, Aruldass and Vivek Prasanna among others, and releases on May 20 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.
