Jagan played with people’s lives, says Lokesh

0

In these four years and 10 months, the Chief Minister, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, has played games with the lives of the people and in two months the people will pay it back, observed TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Monday.

Jagan has turned Visakhapatnam, which was known as the City of Destiny, as the city of misery, Lokesh said and held Jagan responsible for the gas leakage at the LG Polymers. One murder, one kidnapand land encroachment are reported every day during Jagan’s rule and the Mandal Revenue Officer, Ramanaiah, has been murdered as he was not cooperating for land encroachments, he said.

Though Jagan has been repeatedly saying that he is ‘Sidhham’ (ready), his own party leaders are making it clear that they are not ready and on Sunday his party leaders at Raptadu in Anantapur district too made it amply clear, Lokesh said. The poor attendance for the public meeting at Raptadu and the attacks by the rowdies on media persons, including some photographers when they are shooting the vacant chairs clearly expose the level of frustration in Jagan and his followers, he stated.

When any Chief Minister addressed a public meeting, he or she highlighted the welfare programmes and developmental works undertaken by them But Jagan, for more than an hour, was chanting the name of TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, he remarked. Feudals cannot understand the importance of cycle (the symbol of the TDP) and the glass (the symbol of the Jana Sena) as cycle is the poor man’s progressive vehicle while the common man consumes tea in the glass, Lokesh commented. Since the blades of the fan (the symbol of the YSRCP) are totally broken, it is better to throw it in the dustbin, he said.

Jagan has deceived all sections of people by not implementing the promises that he had made to them like filling up of 2.3 lakh vacant posts, including 6,500 constable posts, Mega DSC and total prohibition, he stated. The unemployed are forced to commit suicide as they are not getting jobs even after spending lakhs of rupees for coaching, he felt.

Chandrababu Naidu as the chief minister of the State between 2014-19 has developed the State, he said and recalled how he has taken selfies during his Yuva Galam pada yatra standing before the huge projects set up during the TDP regime. Making a mockery of Jagan’s call to the public to attend the Raptadu public meeting to switch on the lights in their mobile phones, Lokesh felt that Jagan has no basic knowledge as to how he can ask the people to switch on the lights under the hot Sun.

Regretting that the managements of educational institutions are not releasing the hall tickets of their respective students as the fee dues have not been reimbursed yet, Lokesh said that the students have to pay the fees from their pockets to get their marks lists. Lokesh said that the own sister and mother of Jagan do not have faith in him and how the people can trust him.

All the welfare schemes that were in force during the TDP regime have been revoked by Jagan, the TDP general secretary said and promised to reintroduce all these schemes as soon as the TDP-Jana Sena combine forms the coming government. This apart, the Super-Six announced by Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan too will be implemented in letter and spirit, he added.

Pointing out that an advertisement was released in the Telangana media for the sale of Visakha Steel Plant lands, Lokesh warned those who come forward to purchase these lands of taking them back by the coming TDP-Jana Sena government. “We will certainly not allow privatisation of the steel plant,” he declared.

Lokesh felt that the announcement made by the YSRCP Government declaring Visakhapatnam as the administrative capital is not serious but only meant for grabbing the lands here. “I am telling you all that in another two months the TDP-Jana Sena combine is going to form the government and we will utilise all these buildings for public purpose,” he said.

Making an appeal to the people to elect the candidates supported by the TDP and the Jana Sena, Lokesh said that all the promises made to the people will be implemented within no time. Also, the coming government will certainly come to the rescue of the Gangavaram port and the APIIC displaced. “Their problems will be resolved in just two years,” he said.

Chandrababu dares Jagan to come for debate on any issue, anywhere, anytime

0

“I am ready for an open debate with Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, on the destructive rule of the YSRCP. I am ready to thoroughly expose the blatant lies being uttered by Jagan at the public meetings being organised in the name of ‘Sidhham’ (ready) by misusing power and spending crores of public money,” said TDP president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Sunday.

Not making empty promises with false campaigning and if Jagan is dare enough he should come for an open debate, said Chandrababu Naidu in a press note released here. “I am ready anywhere, anytime and on any issue. Let us discuss whose rule is the golden era and whose rule is the stone era. Are you daring enough to come for the debate Jagan,” the TDP supremo challenged Jagan in the statement.

The former chief minister believes that the one chance given by the voters in 2019 to Jagan is going to be the last chance for him. Since Jagan has clarity on his defeat in the upcoming elections, he has now removed the curtains and is trying again to take the people for a ride by coming onto the road, he remarked. How can the Chief Minister who has given to the people Rs 10 on one hand and looted Rs 100 from them on the other talk about welfare, Chandrababu Naidu questioned.

Chandrababu Naidu said that behind every scheme introduced by the YSRCP Government there is a scam and even the natural resources too are no exception for looting. How can this Chief Minister can talk about the poor and their lives, he asked. At every corner of the State Jagan’s destructive rule is clearly visible and in the name of ‘Sidhham’ Jagan is simply uttering blatant lies, Chandrababu Naidu said.

With the fear of defeat, Jagan has already folded the future of 77 sitting MLAs and the people will fold the future of others in another 50 days, the TDP supremo stated. Jagan who has deceived all sections of society has no right to talk about social justice and every family that has fallen victim to this Chief Minister’s misdeeds is becoming a star campaigner and is getting ready to defeat Jagan, he felt.

Observing that people were forcibly shifted by RTC and the school buses to Sunday’s Raptadu meeting from 52 Assembly segments in Rayalaseema region, Chandrababu said that had the meeting is really a success there is no need for physical attack on the media persons by Jagan’s gang. The attack clearly exposes the frustration among the YSRCPleaders, he added.

Terming the coming polls as a battle between real feudalist Jagan and the five crore people, he said that the people are now ready to send him home. The poor are also prepared to see to it that Jagan is out of power as he diverted lakhs of crores of funds of the minority sub-plan.

“The Dalits and others immediately recollect the sub-plan funds, Innova cars and unemployment allowance besides other welfare schemes if my name and the TDP’s name are mentioned while they immediately recollect Kodi Katti, official terrorism, quid pro quo, land and sand mafia if Jagan’s name is mentioned,” Chandrababu Naidu remarked.

How people can trust Jagan as he had promised total prohibition before coming to power but after becoming the Chief Minister he began minting money out of spurious liquor sale, Chandrababu Naidu asked and said that he lost credibility as 98 per cent of the promises made to the people are not fulfilled.

Except filing illegal cases and misusing power, Jagan has not achieved anything, Chandrababu Naidu said and added that since he could not answer the questions raised by the leaders of the Opposition parties illegal cases are being foisted against them. “Revolt among the people has already begun and they are only waiting for the elections to be conducted to break the wings of the fan,” Chandrababu Naidu observed.

Target clean sweep, says Jagan

0

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called upon the cadre to go whole hog and work as a full-fledged army to make a clean sweep in the forthcoming elections.

Addressing the third version of the ‘Siddham’ public meeting of Party cadre here on Sunday, the Chief Minister described the forthcoming elections as the battle between locals led by YSRCP and non-resident Andhras led by TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and his foster son.

He called upon the cadre not to forget that our target is 175 assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats and added that the cadre should work hard in the next two months to thwart the evil designs of the TDP and its friendly media by posting another historic win.

The meeting was attended by lakhs of YSRCP activists from 52 assembly constituencies of four districts of Rayalaseema and the gathering is rated as the first ever highly attended public meeting in the region’s history.

After fulfilling 99 per cent of the election promises, there is no question of falling below the target, he said, pointing out that the forthcoming elections are very important for people of the State.

On behalf of the poor, YSRCP is waging a war with feudalistic forces led by Naidu, his foster son and their friendly media, he said, adding that it is certain that the TDP will disappear after the elections as YSRCP is poised to achieve its target.

The Chief Minister asked them to become his star campaigners and also turn the people into star campaigners by creating awareness among the farmers, women and other sections of society on the need to continue the welfare schemes by voting YSRCP to power.

He asked the Party cadre to remind people that ‘fan’ should always be kept in the house while the ‘cycle’ and ‘tea glass’ should be kept out of the house and in the sink respectively.

It is not just about electing the MLAs and MPs but the battle is about defeating the feudalistic forces led by TDP and its allies and a vote for the opposition would result in the loss of welfare schemes.

Despite working for 14 years as Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu can’t speak of single welfare scheme that benefitted people while the Jagan mark is tangible in every house and village from Kuppam to Ichhapuram in education, health and medical and educational sectors.

If the TDP thinks YSRCP has not done any good to the people, why Chandrababu Naidu is hankering after alliances to push the ‘cycle’ ahead, he questioned, adding that Naidu is seeking the direct and indirect support of other regional and national parties for political survival.

Stating that he had clicked the button 125 times to disburse a whopping Rs 2, 55, 000 crore through DBT for welfare schemes for the sake of the people, the Chief Minister asked the cadre to tell people to press two buttons for the YSRCP, one for the Assembly and the other for the Lok Sabha in the ensuing elections.

The Chief Minister asked the people to choose between Jagan who has stood by the election manifesto in letter and spirit and fulfilled 99 per cent of the promises and Chandrababu Naidu who took every section of society for a ride throwing it into dustbin after the 2014 elections.

He further observed that the ensuing elections is a war between YSRCP’s credibility and TDP’s deception and called upon the people to be wary that a vote for the TDP and its allies would distance away the fruits of social justice from the people.

Jagan’s politics filled with corruption, black money, says Naidu

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is resorting to politics with the black money earned through corruption and illegal activities, remarked TDP supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Saturday.

Addressing an immense gathering at a public meeting at Inkollu of Parchur Assembly segment in Bapatla district as part of the ‘Raa Kadali Raa’ programme, Chandrababu Naidu felt that the countdown for Mr Jagan has already begun. Stating that Jagan has totally polluted politics, Chandrababu Naidu expressed confidence that just after 52 days, the TDP-Jana Sena government will be in place.

Maintaining that Jagan is not getting even candidates to contest the polls, the TDP supremo stated that now his slogan is ‘Why not Pulivendula’. Chandrababu Naidu told Jagan not to resort to cheap politics but learn to do it in an ethical and dignified manner.

The former chief minister advised the police officials to strictly follow the rules and if they try to violate the law they will have to face the consequences. “If you carry this Government which is on its way out you will have to pay the price,” he said. Pointing out that the police officials tried to create obstructions to the TDP meeting, he asked the local District Superintendent of Police (SP) as to how he can create such obstacles without going into what is mentioned in the notice. “We are strictly following the norms and if anyone tries to cause such obstacles we will not spare them,” he said.

Observing that the people are ready to send Jagan home, Chandrababu Naidu said that the victory of the TDP-Jana Sena is already confirmed much before the polls. Noting that the local YSRCP leaders are harassing the granite businessmen in Parchur Assembly segment, Chandrababu Naidu said that even the officials of the Mining department have joined hands with the YSRCP leaders to threaten these businessmen.

Addanki MLA, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, is imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 cr, the TDP supremo said that he and Jana Sena chief, Pawan Kalyan, too are the victims of this YSRCP Government. The RTC and the power charges have been hiked as Jagan has been pressing the button, he remarked and said that taxes are being imposed even on water and property. Why Jagan not pressing the button for job calendar and total prohibition, he asked.

Chandrababu Naidu feels that behind every scheme that Jagan introduces there is a scam. “I have never seen in my political life such robbery of the State,” he said. Maintaining that the YSRCP leaders are now giving a new slogan on the fourth capital, the TDP supremo asked how Jagan, who on record admitted on the floor of the Assembly that Amaravati is to be the capital, can take the three capitals slogan. “Now these YSRCP leaders are saying Hyderabad as the fourth capital,” he added.

Regretting that the YSRCP Government has stalled the development of Amaravati, he said that the result is that the youth lost employment opportunities. “Had Amaravati been completed the condition of the State would have been totally different,” he felt.

Chandrababu Naidu said that he had differed with the BJP earlier only in the interest of the people and the State and stated that Jagan’s present condition is that he is not in a position to accept the assistance even if the Centre comes forward to extend it. Why Jagan is remaining silent on the special category status issue to the State, Chandrababu Naidu asked.

Real show for Jagan has begun now, feels Naidu

0

The real show for Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has now begun, felt TDP supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday.

In his Twitter message, Chandrababu felt that as the Chief Minister of the State Jagan has adopted a vengeful attitude towards an area, particularly against the capital city of Amaravathi, and totally destroyed the area. Observing that this is a historical misery, Chandrababu in his Twitter message felt that Jagan has instigated communal hatred for his personal gains and resorted to mispropaganda.

Observing that misusing the official machinery, Jagan has completely defaced several agitations and resorted to violence against those who participated in the agitations, he said that the film ‘Rajadhani Files’ totally reflected these facts. The capital city has fallen victim to the conspiracies hatched by Jagan and the cruel mentality of the YSRCP leaders and the ‘Rajadhani Files’ clearly and perfectly projected all this.

“This is the reason as to why Jagan has made every effort to stop the screening of this movie but the court has successfully checked his game plan and sanctioned permission for screening” he said.

Chandrababu Naidu, through his Twitter message, called upon the Telugus across the globe to watch the movie in theatres to know the ground reality.

Jagan has taken ‘U’ turn on capital issue, says Lokesh

0

Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has supported Amaravathi as the capital while in Opposition, has taken a complete ‘U’ turn after coming to power, commented TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Friday.

“While in Opposition Jagan has said that to build the capital city at least 30,000 acres are needed and he said he will even build his own house in Amaravathi. He also stated that he did not want to create regional differences. But once he is in power he has taken a ‘U’ turn,” Lokesh said while addressing a public meeting here as part of his ‘Sankharavam’ programme.

Jagan is simply playing a drama in the name of three capitals while his party leader and Jagan’s uncle, YV Subba Reddy, is saying that Hyderabad should be continued as the combined capital for five more years, Lokesh pointed out and called upon the people to think how shamelessly they are making such statements. On the one hand the existing capital has been ignored and on the other they are asking for Hyderabad to be continued as the capital, he stated.

Mentioning Jagan’s recent statement asking his YSRCP leaders to get ready for a war by folding their shirts, Lokesh said that if the YSRCP is ready for a fight the TDP will not sit quiet. “If you fold your shirts we are ready to fold the chairs. If the activists of both the TDP and the Jana Sena begin their fight the YSRCP will completely disappear from the scene,” Lokesh commented.

Probably Jagan might be feeling nervous on watching the ‘Rajadhani Files’ film and thus he is creating obstructions for the release of the movie, Lokesh said. He is of the opinion that the ‘Yatra’ (journey) movie has turned into an ‘Anthima Yatra’ (last journey) for the YSRCP. Deploying the police personnel at the theatres showing the ‘Rajadhani Files’ movie is evidence that the YSRCP leaders are scared of it, he remarked.

Stating that the State Government is minting money through spurious liquor sale and even targets are being fixed for the officials on the sale of liquor, he said. The YSRCP should feel ashamed as Jagan before coming to power promised to impose total prohibition but once he became the Chief Minister he began making money out of the spurious liquor sale claiming several innocent lives, Lokesh said.

Jagan has been moving behind the curtains as he is unable to face the public, he said and asked whether Jagan is dare enough to face the youth as he has miserably failed to implement the promises like job calendar and filling up of vacancies. Lokesh feels that behind every step of Jagan there is a scam as he has made Rs 7,000 cr in the name of distribution of one cent of land while Rs 2,200 cr in the name of levelling these lands.

Promising to build houses with better technology after the TDP-Jana Sena combine forms the next government, Lokesh said that all the necessary steps will be taken to develop North Andhra. TDP is known for welfare, he said and listed out the large scale welfare programmes implemented while the party was in power.

Reaffirming that all the schemes announced like 20 lakh jobs, unemployment allowance, free cooking gas cylinders and financial assistance to farmers will be implemented in toto once the TDP-Jana Sena alliance forms the next government, Lokesh said that Jagan has totally neglected the North Andhra region. “I am assuring you all that a company like Kia will be established in this region and SEZ will be set up to provide opportunities for establishing bid industries to provide employment to locals,” Lokesh said.

But to realise all this, the TDP-Jana Sena candidates should be elected with a huge majority, Lokesh said and thanked all the TDP activists for solidly standing by the party even after facing several difficulties. “I will stand by you now and we all should move further in a combined manner,” Lokesh said.

The TDP general secretary said that when he was a minister he had cleared 1500 files and if anyone can prove that he had committed any kind of error while clearing these files he said he will opt out of politics. The illegal arrest of TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, and sending him to jail for 53 days, had only brought out all the welfare programmes that he had implemented and the good works that he had done, Lokesh commented.

Chief Minister Jagan gives away volunteers’ awards

0

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy formally gave away Seva Mitra, Seva Ratna and Seva Vajra awards to the best village and ward secretariat volunteers.

Addressing the gathering at Phirangipuram on Thursday, the Chief Minister saluted them saying they are his young army that has been extending selfless service with unflinching commitment and delivering welfare benefits of various schemes transparently to the beneficiaries since 2019.

“While the corrupt Janma Bhoomi Committees during the TDP rule exploited people seeking bribes for releasing monthly social pensions and benefits of other welfare schemes besides working with nepotism and bias, you are extending selfless service to the poor as my brand ambassadors and future leaders though working for meagre sum,” he said.

Describing the Janma Bhoomi committees as ganja plants that destroyed the system, he said that the biased and corrupt policies of the TDP rule ensued its defeat in the 2019 elections.

In contrast, the volunteers, working like tulasi plants, have revolutionised the delivery system of welfare benefits replacing the corrupt system with a transparent and unbiased way, he said, adding that volunteers will play key role in YSRCP victory in the forthcoming elections,

“With your cooperation and dedicated service only, Government has been able to distribute funds worth Rs.2, 55,000crore through DBT welfare schemes and Rs. 1,07,000crore (Rs. 1, 76,000crore including the house site pattas) through non-DBT schemes in the last 58 months despite Covid-19 blues and reduced revenues from the Centre,” he said.

He urged the volunteers to campaign about the false and misleading election promises of TDP and its allies and spread the message that a vote for the opposition would wind up the welfare schemes.

TDP manifesto, full of false promises, is a mixed version of the election manifesto of other parties, and is likely to be thrown into the dustbin post-elections. The YSRCP election manifesto took birth from the sweat and aspirations of the people, he said, adding that the last 58 months have proved its commitment towards it.

“Being my confidants, you have ensured the delivery of welfare benefits at the doorstep of people all these months and have changed the gamut of village administration, You have also become responsible for the YSRCP victory in all local bodies and by-elections after 2019. I am sure you will pave the way for its victory in the 2024 elections also with your selfless service,” he told them.

Describing the volunteer system as the backbone of the welfare programmes, he said the entire country has been observing its functioning with inspiration.

The Chief Minister asked the volunteers to become his star campaigners and also turn the people into another set of YSRCP star campaigners for bringing victory to it while thwarting the vicious and malicious propaganda of the jealous TDP and its friendly media.

“TDP is working with the support of foster son, its fully biased-friendly media and with the direct and indirect support of national parties while I am depending on you and God,” he said.

In response to the MLA Sucharita’s appeal, the Chief Minister sanctioned Rs. 39 crore for constructing ghat road to the Carmel Matha shrine on Phirangipuram Hill.

He also said that as per her request, the special monthly pension for the 17,000 families affected in the Capital region would be enhanced from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 5000 from next month onwards.

Cash Awards

Government will distribute Rs. 392.05crore as cash awards to 2,55, 464 volunteers as a token of appreciation for rendering yeoman service in extending the benefits of various welfare programmes to the people at their doorstep. The felicitation programme will continue for seven days across the State in a festive atmosphere.

Under the programme implemented for the fourth consecutive year, a certificate, shawl and badge along with a cash prize of Rs.15,000, Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 45,000 are presented to the Seva Mitra, Seva Ratna and Seva Vajra volunteers while medals are also given to the best volunteers of the last two categories.

During the last three years, cash prizes of Rs.10,000, Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 30,000 were presented to the Seva Mitra, Seva Ratna and Seva Vajra volunteers while the prize amounts were increased by Rs. 5000, Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 15,000 respectively in the fourth year.

While 2, 50, 439 volunteers are selected for the Seva Mitra awards, Seva Ratna and Seva Vajra awards would be presented to 4,150 and 875 volunteers respectively.

Apart from felicitating the meritorious volunteers, Government will also award special cash prizes of Rs.15,000, Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 25,000 each at Mandal (or Municipality or Corporation), constituency and district level respectively to 997 volunteers who have displayed extraordinary talents in collecting the opinion of beneficiaries of the YSR Pension Kanuka, Aasara and others welfare schemes.

Jagan Govt cheating banks to raise loans by showing unfinished buildings, says Pattabhi

0

The Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is showing the unfinished buildings in Amaravathi as complete to the public sector banks to raise loans and has been issuing GOs that officials and public representatives are staying in those residential complexes, said TDP spokesman, Kommareddy Patabhiram, on Thursday and felt that it amount to cheating the banks.

Talking to media persons at the party headquarters, Pattabhiram said that those senior IAS officers like Srilakshmi, Vivek Yadav and Praveen Kumar, who are responsible for issuing such false GOs like GO number 10, only to cheat the banks will have to face the consequences sooner than later. The GO 10 issued to deceive the banks is clear evidence of this Government’s dishonesty, Pattabhi remarked.

Terming the whole issue as a 3-D film, Pattabhi said that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is the producer of this movie while Minister for Municipal Administration, Admulapu Suresh, is the director, the story and screenplay is by Special Chief Secretary (Municipal Administration), Srilakshmi and CRDA Commissioner, Vivek Yadav, is the dialogue writer. What is astonishing is that the General Administration Department (GAD) has prepared the ground to pay Rs 69,36,60,000 as rent for the buildings which are in an unfinished stage, Pattabhi pointed out.

He demanded a clear reply from the State Government how such false GO has been issued to cheat the banks stating that the buildings are complete which had shamelessly commented earlier that the entire construction of Amaravati is only graphics. Minister Adimulapu Suresh, the IAS officers, Srilakshmi, Vivek Yadav and Praveen Kumar should give a reply to the people why such a GO to deceive the banks has been issued, he said.

Admupalapu Suresh has exposed the misdeeds of this Government, Pattabhi said and felt that Mrs Srilakshmi, who had earlier had gone to jail trusting the family members of late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy has not learnt any lessons. “Perhaps she may have to go to jail again if she continues to repose faith in Jagan and continue her attitude in the same way,” he stated.

TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, in his capacity as the chief minister of the State from 2014 to 2019 had managed to raise funds with the credibility that he has and completed almost 80 per cent of the Amaravati works, this Government without taking any initiative to complete the remaining the works has shamelessly issued the GO only to deceive the nationalised banks, Pattabhiram observed. Since the people have already come to a conclusion that the

This poor condition of roads reflect dirty rule of Jagan, says Lokesh

0

On passing through the road from Palakonda to Kurupam in Srikakulam district on Tuesday to take part in the ongoing ‘Sankharavam’ programme, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, said that this poor condition of roads clearly reflect the dirty rule of Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Later, in a press note released on the bad condition of the roads in the State Lokesh said “when I inquired from the local people there they said that the contractor left the works half-finished as the State Government did not pay his bills.” At least Rs 1.8 lakh cr dues are to be cleared for the contractors who completed their works in various parts of the State and thus they are refusing to complete even the works which are still pending, Lokesh said.

Lokesh said that the ruling party leaders are interested only in looting the State rather than development. What else is needed which clearly reflects the dirty rule of Jagan, the TDP general secretary said in the press note.

Jagan meets Modi, seeks funds for state projects

0

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his chambers in Parliament on Friday and sought him to expedite several issues related to the State.

Reminding the Prime Minister that the Finance Ministry has already agreed to remove component-wise expenditure ceiling on Polavaram Project and release Rs 12,911crore for its first phase completion, the Chief Minister urged him to get Cabinet approval for the two pending issues.

He also urged the Prime Minister to release on a priority basis Rs 17,144 crore for speedy completion of the project first phase, the proposal of which was pending in the Jal Shakti Ministry. He further sought immediate steps from the Centre to ensure the release of Rs 7,230 crore arrears by the Telangana Government to APGENCO for the power supplied to it for three years from 2014.

The Chief Minister also urged him to grant Special Status to Andhra Pradesh and implement other assurances given at the time of bifurcation as it helps the State attract investments for industrial development and improve employment opportunities. He further sought Centre’s financial support for the 17 new medical colleges out of which classes have commenced in five colleges and the rest are under construction.

The Chief Minister also urged the Prime Minister to grant necessary funds for the 55-km six-lane highway that connects Visakhapatnam city with Bhogapuram International airport via Bhogapuram, Bhimili, Rishi Konda and Visakhapatnam Port.

He also further urged that the Visakhapatnam-Kurnool high speed corridor proposed in the Andhra Pradesh Bifurcation Act be extended to Bangalore via Kadapa, and as part of this, new railway line should be laid connecting Kadapa, Pulivendula, Mudigubba, Sri Satya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam and Hindupur for providing proper connectivity to the backward Rayalaseema.

State is in doldrums with Jagan’s destructive economic policies, says Yanamala

0

With the six destructive economic policies – bad debt, high inflation, high unemployment, high deficits, system collapse – Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has completely ruined the State, observed former Finance minister and leader of Opposition in the State Legislative Council, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, on Friday.

Ramakrishnudu said that Jagan has looted the natural resources in the State as part of his policy to ransack Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister has robbed a whopping Rs 6 lakh cr in the past five years, he said and expressed concern that the inflation rate which should not exceed two to three per cent has now touched an alarming 8.5 per cent while the unemployment rate is 24 per cent.

The budgetary deficit which was Rs 35,467 cr in 20018-19 has reached Rs 52,508 cr by 2022-23 while the revenue deficit which was Rs 13,899 cr in 2018-19 has gone up to Rs 43,487 cr by 2022-23, Ramakrishnudu said. The YSRCP Government is not revealing the facts on the actual financial position of the State but is trying to mislead the people by making false statements on the floor of the Assembly, the former Finance minister felt.

The budgetary estimates which generally get the nod of the Legislature do not have any value in the Jagan Reddy rule, he felt. Minister for Finance, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, has kept as secret even on the loans raised during the 2022-23 fiscal, the TDP politburo member stated. Pointing out that at least Rs one lakh cr has been raised as non-budgetary loans in this year alone, he said that in the past five years a whopping Rs 5 lakh cr has been borrowed under this category.

The whole financial year of 2022-23 was run completely on debts raised from the RBI, Ramakrishnudu said over draft has been raised for 152 days in this fiscal. Ramakrishnudu demanded an explanation from the State Government on what happened to the Rs 1,18,039 cr raised as loan from the RBI in the 2022-23 fiscal. Corporation loans are now Rs 5 lakh cr, he said and stated that the details on how this money is spent are not provided even to the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG).

Observing that both the RBI and the Centre have already cautioned the State Government on going for such huge loans, Ramakrishnudu said that the RBI has even told the nationalised banks to be cautious while granting loans to the State Government. Despite having raised such a huge amount of loans there is no development in the State, the leader of the Opposition in the Upper House said.

The State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) was Rs 11,22,837 cr and this Government has given false information that the SGST has gone up to 13,17,728 cr in the 2022-23 fiscal, he said. When the funds allocated as per the budgetary estimates are not spent how the SGST will grow and how the average revenue will increase, Ramakriushnudu asked.

In the budget speech it is wrongly projected that the poverty has gone down, Ramakrishnudu said and pointed out that in the Human Development Index the State stood at 20th position. “The other Southern States like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala are far ahead of us in poverty eradication and even the neighbouring Telangana State which has less resources than us is ahead of us,” Ramakrishnu maintained.

Even for Aarogyasri, dues amounting to Rs 1200 cr are pending clearance, the former Finance minister said and asked is this the poverty eradication which Jagan has been claiming.

Only Jagan could get Assembly adjourned House for the sake of film, saysTDP

0

Only Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, could manage to get the Assembly adjourned for the sake of the film ‘Yatra-2’, said the TDP MLAs here on Thursday.

The TDP MLAs, under the leadership of their State party president, Kinjerapu Atchen Naidu, boycotted the Assembly session on the concluding day on Thursday in protest against adjourning the House just for the sake of a film. They also burnt the GOs on the Assembly precincts brought in for the past five years.

Later, talking to media persons the TDP MLAs said the State is rid of the curse on Thursday that has been haunting the State in the shape of the YSRCP for the past five years. “The anti-people rule which the YSRCP continued at will for five years has come to an end,” the TDP MLAs said. Stating that the Assembly session that was supposed to begin at 9 am is adjourned due to lack of quorum, sheerely for the sake of the ‘Yatra-2’ film, they felt that only a person like Jagan can do such things.

The YSRCP Government made a mockery of the concluding and last session of the Assembly besides the whole process of presenting the budgetary proposals, the TDP MLAs remarked. “We strongly protest against the attitude of the ruling dispensation for adjourning the House simply for the sake of a film and not reassembling till 11 am,” they stated.

The TDP MLAs set fire to the copies of the GOs including the GO No 2430 imposing certain restrictions on the freedom of the media, GO No 98 repealing the Chandranna Pelli Kanuka and Chandranna Bheema schemes and the GO No 96 revoking the loan waiver scheme introduced by the TDP government.

The TDP MLAs felt that for Jagan and the other YSRCP MLAs, films are more important than the problems being faced by the people. “We are now happy that we are bidding goodbye to this Assembly which always followed anti-people policies,” the TDP MLAs remarked.

Jagan’s attacker Srinivas gets bail

0

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s attacker, Janipalli Srinivasa Rao, secured bail from the AP high court on Thursday. The court granted him conditional bail with Rs 25,000 and two sureties.

The court told Srinivasa Rao not to speak to the media about the case. It also directed him to appear before the Mummadivaram police station on every Sunday till further orders.

Srinivasa Rao challenged the NIA court’s decision cancelling his petition for bail. He told the court that he had been in jail for five years and there was no investigation. He further told the court that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy was not attending the court for hearings.

Srinivasa Rao is an accused in the attack on Jagan Mohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam airport. The accused attacked Jagan Mohan Reddy with a sharp knife while trying to take a selfie with Jagna Mohan Reddy in the airport.

Jagan Mohan Reddy escaped unhurt and was treated in Hyderabad before the 2019 general election. The case was heard in the NIA court in Vijayawada for three years and then was shifted to Visakhapatnam two years ago.

Srinivasa Rao’s parents held a fasting protest in Vijayawada demanding that their son be released on bail. Even Srinivasa Rao also held a protest in the jail on the same demand. The high court heard the arguments on both sides last month and reserved the judgement.

The advocate for Srinivasa Rao told the high court that Jagan Mohan Reddy was not attending the court for the hearings forcing Srinivasa Rao to be in jail. It was not proper for a person facing murder charges to be in jail without trial, the advocate told the court.

Red sanders mafia ruling the roost in State, says Lokesh

0

Stating that the sed sanders mafia is ruling the roost in the State, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday that the killing of constable Ganesh in KV Palli mandal of Annamayya district earlier in the day reflects the fact that the mafia’s atrocities have reached its peak.

Lokesh said that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s rule has become a golden era for the smugglers. In fact, the red sanders mafia has taken birth with the Punganur Veerappan, Minister, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and the international smuggler, Gangireddy, he added.

By declaring these red sanders smugglers as the YSRCP candidates for the upcoming polls, Jagan has established a green channel for these smugglers. If the police personnel come in the way of these smugglers they are being finished and the killing of the Task Force constable earlier in the day reflects the fact that these smugglers have the blessings of the ruling party elders, Lokesh said.

Paying tributes to the Task Force constable, Ganesh, who was laid down his life while on duty, Lokesh expressed deep felt sympathies to the bereaved family members. Demanding that the State Government immediately come to the rescue of the family of Ganesh, Lokesh said that the culprits who killed the constable should be punished severely.

The Task Force constable, Ganesh, was crushed to death under a running vehicle in KV Palli mandal of Annamayya district by suspected red sanders smugglers and he succumbed to injuries while being shifted to the nearby hospital.

We observed fiscal discipline despite constraints, says Jagan

0

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that Government had implemented welfare schemes and took up development activities with financial discipline despite adverse situations like Covid, inheriting strained and complex status from the previous TDP rule and he pooh-poohed Chandrababu Naidu’s tall promises ahead of elections as the Opposition leader carries the blemish of dumping manifesto into dustbin while YSRCP treats it as a holy book.

Replying to the discussion on the Motion of thanks to Governor’s address in the Assembly here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister also dismissed the charges that Government has made State debt-ridden and said that the State had rolled out DBT welfare schemes worth Rs 2,55,000 crore and non-DBT welfare schemes worth Rs. 1,07,000 crores. The previous government too had the same budget, but it could not deliver welfare as the difference speaks in the commitment of the Chief Ministers then and now.

He said that the debt of the residual Andhra Pradesh which stood at Rs 1,53,000 crore including all types of loans at the time of bifurcation had gone up to Rs 4,12,288 crore in 2019 when YSRCP came to power.

Now, the total debt stands at Rs 7,03,000 crore and it clearly indicates that the growth rate of debt during the TDP rule stood at 21.87 per cent, it stands at 12.13 per cent during the last 5 years, he said, adding that not even a single welfare scheme was implemented during the TDP rule though the budget was the same and the debt-growth rate was higher.

Braving the odds of reduction in devolution of Central funds and reduced tax revenues during the last five years due to several reasons including the Covid-19 pandemic that resulted in Rs 66,116 crore revenue loss, Government has excelled in fiscal discipline, debt management, planning and implementation of slew of welfare schemes transparently.

The Chief Minister recalled that the state was bifurcated in an unjust manner allocating 50 per cent of the revenues to Telangana that represented 42 per cent of the population and the remaining 50 per cent to residual Andhra Pradesh that has 58 per cent population putting the State to a yearly revenue loss of Rs 13,000 crore.

Coming down heavily against the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu for making false election promises for political gains, he said that Government needs to spend around more than Rs. 1, 26,000crore annually for fulfilling them.

When we are striving hard to implement DBT and non-DBT welfare schemes worth around Rs. 70,000 crores annually, how can Chandrababu Naidu mobilize Rs. 1, 26,000crore on his false promises, he questioned.

Like a copycat, Naidu made mix of six election promises at will and pleasure picking them up from the election manifestoes of other parties that won in other states with a view to cheat the people again, the Chief Minister said.

Debunking the theory of wealth creation advocated by the TDP friendly media for implementing the impracticable promises, the Chief Minister asked why Naidu failed in creating wealth during his earlier tenures.

While Chandrababu Naidu stands for lies, this Government stands for credibility, he said, adding that the TDP was shown the door in 2019 with just 23 seats as people understood his nature of telling lies and cheating the people.

Asserting that Naidu only pursued the policy of plunder, stash and devour during his rule, the Chief Minister appealed to the people to think over why Naidu failed to implement even a single welfare scheme during his rule while the budget was the same.

Like the old hungry tiger, Naidu has been throwing the bait to the people with false promises to cheat them once again, he said, adding that people still remember how Naidu defaulted on the loan waiver Rs. 87,612 crore.

“I sat in the Opposition for five years for not making the false promise of farm loan waiver prior to 2014 elections but I have no regrets for that. I make only promises that can be fulfilled for the benefit of the people,” he said, asserting that YSRCP won a permanent place in the hearts of the people with its credibility.

Despite the heavy financial odds, we have implemented more than 99 per cent of our election promises, and our credibility will ensure that YSRCP will clean sweep the elections and introduce the full-fledged budget in the Assembly after three months, the Chief Minister asserted.

Though Jagan offering tickets candidates not ready to contest polls, says Chandrababu

0

TDP president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Monday said that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is not ‘Siddham’ (ready) for the upcoming Assembly elections but he has several doubts on going to polls.

Addressing a massive public meeting at Madugula in Anakapalle district as part of the ongoing ‘Raa Kadali Raa’ programme, Chandrababu Naidu said that though Jagan is offering party tickets to the leaders for the Assembly elections, the candidates are not ready to be in the race. Chandrababu is of the firm opinion that the power charges are revised nine times as Jagan has pressed the button.

In a sarcastic way, the TDP supremo asked Jagan as to why he has not pressed the button for the job calendar, imposing total prohibition and on the revocation of Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS). “I am sure that Jagan will certainly go home with the button to be pressed by the voters,” Chandrababu Naidu remarked.

Expressing deep concern that Visakhapatnam, which was once known as the financial capital of Andhra Pradesh, has now turned into the capital for crime, the former chief minister said that though Jagan wants to go to Visakhapatnam, the local people are not ready to welcome him. “In fact the locals are asking him not to come there at all,” he added.

Chandrababu Naidu expressed surprise as to why hundreds of crores of public money is being paid to the advisors and asked whether Jagan can spell out even a single advice given by them except swallowing hundreds of crores of public money. The former chief minister said that the TDP-Jana Sena combine has already won the polls in the public domain and expressed confidence that the alliance will certainly emerge victorious and form the government after the polls.

On watching the tremendous response to this public meeting the Tadepalle man will get nervous and in the coming days he will not even get sleep, Chandrababu remarked. He firmly believes that whichever party the youth supports will only win the polls and the upcoming elections will decide the future of the entire Telugu community.

Maintaining that he has seen several leaders in his political career but has never seen a psycho like Jagan, he said that the State will prosper only if Jagan is out of power. “Not the question of how many times you have pressed the button but you should reveal how much you have swallowed,” Chandrababu stated.

Regretting that North Andhra, which he said he likes very well, has turned into a centre for violence, turbulence and land encroachments, he said that Jagan has encroached even Rishi Konda. Recalling how he has developed Hyderabad city by welcoming several international companies, Chandrababu said Jagan, however, has been chasing out the companies that have already established their units in the State.

Chandrababu Naidu promised to implement much better welfare schemes than the YSRCP Government has implemented and mentioned about the Super-Six schemes in which youth will be provided 20 lakh jobs in five years and pension for women. “My wish is to implement the ‘poor to rich’ scheme and take the Telugu community to the top of the world.

“You all make a step forward and I will March 100 steps ahead to bring the State back into development,” Chandrababu Naidu told the gathering.

Jagan will remain in history as failure CM, feels Chandrababu

0

TDP president and former chief minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, feels that Jagan Mohan Reddy will remain as the most failure Chief Minister in the history.

Releasing a chargesheet on ‘Praja court, promises Jagan failed to implement’, during the TDP Legislature Party meeting held at his residence in Vundavalli in Amaravathi on Sunday Chandrababu Naidu strongly believed that Jagan will certainly be punished in the people’s court as he has cheated the people with false promises and fake assurances. “Jagan will remain in the history as the most failure Chief Minister,’ he remarked.

Jagan who came to power by making all false promises has totally neglected all the assurances given to the people thus taking them for a ride, Chandrababu said. Jagan has made a total of 730 promises to the people either in his election manifesto or during his pada yatra of which he has not implemented at least 21 per cent, he said.

“But Jagan is simply cheating the public by claiming that he has already implemented 99 per cent of the promises he has made,” Chandrababu Naidu commented. In a couple of months Jagan will face the consequences in the people’s court, he remarked.

Pointing out that Jagan has assured the people that the power tariff will not be be revised, Chandrababu said that he has imposed a massive financial burden of Rs 64,000 cr on the power consumers. The TDP supremo also said that the assurance given to the people on total prohibition is also completely ignored and raised Rs 25,000 cr loan by mortgaging the revenue on liquor sale.

Chandrababu also asked as to what happened to the promise to fill 2.3 lakh vacant posts in different government wings and said that a financial burden of Rs 8 lakh is imposed on every family in the State by hiking the prices of essential commodities. Also, Jagan is simply looting the public by increasing the petrol and diesel prices besides taking a ‘U’ turn on Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS). He is now taking excuse by claiming that he has made this promise without proper knowledge, he added.

What happened to the assurance given to the people that he will achieve Special Category Status for the State, Chandrababu asked and said that not even a single irrigation project is completed though he has claimed that he would take up ‘jala yagnam’.

There is no word about job calendar though he has said that he will issue the calendar on January 1 every year, the TDP supremo pointed out. He could not fulfill even the promise of setting up a steel plant in his home district while the weekly off promise made to the police personnel is totally ignored, Chandrababu stated. Jagan had thus not implemented several assurances given to the people, Chandrababu Naidu observed.

TDP State unit president, Atchen Naidu, the leader of the Opposition in the State Legislative Council, Yenamala Ramakrishunudu, party MLAs and MLCs were present.

Jagan has credit of exploiting police for ganja smuggling: Lokesh

0

Terming Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, as an economic extremist, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Friday said that since the State is now in the hands of such an economic extremist all the resources are being subjected to looting and atrocity is ruling the roost.

Lokesh said that as Jagan has mastered the art of economic crimes some police personnel are fast turning out to be thieves, smugglers and kidnappers. Committing crimes has almost become a habit for some police personnel as Jagan has been making use of them as factionists for his political vendetta, he remarked.

Since the ruling dispensation has been making use of the Crime Investigative Department (CID) officials for kidnaps and black mailings the police personnel have come to a conclusion that they can certainly rule the roost, Lokesh said. These police personnel are forming into various gangs and are resorting to kidnaps and smuggling which is resulting in this system getting totally destroyed, he regretted.

It is really causing a great concern that a sub-inspector, Sujan, who is working with the office of the DIG of Kurnool formed a gang, has kidnapped the chairman of an IT company in the name of a CID team and was caught by the Hyderabad police, Lokesh said in the press note. The police personnel who are well aware that the ganja mafia has the blessings of the top persons in the State Government have become the ganja smugglers, he added.

The incident in which a head constable of the third battalion of the Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP) force at Kakinada along with a constable are caught by the Hyderabad police clearly indicates that the State police personnel have turned into smugglers, Lokesh maintained.

Meanwhile, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu said that for the past four and a half years, Andhra Pradesh had made more headlines for drugs than development. The recent arrest of two police officers from Kakinada in an anti-drug operation in Hyderabad is a matter of deep concern and embarrassment for our state, he said. In light of this regrettable incident, the YSRCP government must address a crucial question of who the mastermind behind this racket is and who are the leaders involved, he asked.

Jagan failed to get Central funds for implementing bifurcation promises, says Atchen Naidu

0

Hailing the Union budgetary proposals presented to the Lok Sabha by Minister for Finance, Nirmala Seetharaman, earlier in the day, TDP State unit president, Kinjerapu Atchen Naidu, on Thursday said that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, failed utterly to get funds for implementing the promises made in the Andhra Pradesh State Bifurcation Act.

“The Union budgetary proposals are designed in such a way that by 2047 by which time the country will be completing a century becoming an independent India to take the nation to join the list of the developed countries in the world,” Atchen Naidu said in a press note released here. The decisions taken by the Centre in designing the budgetary proposals are certainly towards achieving this goal, the TDP State unit president felt.

Atchen Naidu particularly felt happy at giving top priority to creating basic amenities and providing job opportunities to the youth. “It is highly appreciable that Rs 11 lakh cr has been allocated in the budgetary proposals for creating basic amenities which will totally transform the nation’s profile besides announcing the decision to implement the Skill India Mission to the youth in the country,” the TDP State president felt.

At the same time, Atchen Naidu recalled that Andhra Pradesh stood on top in the country during 2014-19 in providing job opportunities to the youth through skill development. He, however, said that the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government has miserably failed in getting funds for the State though it is almost 10 years since the State Bifurcation Act has come into force.

“The State has suffered heavily in all sectors in the past five years due to the negligent attitude adopted by the Jagan Government,” Atchen Naidu said and demanded a reply from Jagan what he has achieved in the past five years though his party has 31 MPs. Is it not the failure of Jagan that he did not even allocate funds for the 11 Central educational institutions set up in the State during the TDP regime as part of the bifurcation promise, Atchen Naidu asked.

Jagan’s gooda raj in every corner of AP, says Naidu

0

TDP supremo and former chief minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Wednesday said that Jagan Mohan Reddy’ goonda raj ruling the roost in every corner of the State.

Chandrababu Naidu said that there is no Government in the State and all the systems are totally collapsed. “The incidents that have taken place in Martur and Kovvur reflect this fact,” he said.

Chandrababu Naidu demanded that the Director General of Police who has miserably failed to run the police setup as per the norms take voluntary retirement. The District Superintendents of Police have lost their respect to accept salutes even from home guards, Chandrababu Naidu remarked.

The former chief minister felt that the bureaucrats who are taking salaries from the public money should introspect. Either the police officers or the bureaucrats should function within the laid down norms, he added.

Chandrababu Naidu made it clear that in another couple of months they will be taught a lesson in the people’s court and the judiciary will certainly take to task those who committed blunders.
