Viral Now: Ajith’s accident video from Azerbaija

Tamil actor Ajith is busy with his upcoming film Vidaa Muyarchi and the film releases soon. He shot for the film in Azerbaijan last year in October and November. While filming an action stunt, Ajith’s car lost control and toppled on the roadside. The film’s producers Lyca Productions released the filmed accident videos and they are now viral on social media. Ajith and Arav are spotted in the car when the accident took place. Ajith and Arav suffered minor injuries during this accident.

“Bravery knows no bounds! Witness Ajith Kumar’s fearless dedication as he takes on a daring stunt sequence in #VidaaMuyarchi without any stunt double” posted Lyca Productions. Vidaa Muyarchi is an action thriller directed by Magizh Thirumeni and the film features Trisha as the leading lady. Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Arav and Regina will be seen in other important roles. Anirudh is the music composer and Lyca Productions are the producers.

Ajith Gifts Rs 12 lakhs BMW Superbike to a Rider

Sugat Satpathy, who organizes Thala Ajith’s bike tours was gifted a BMW Superbike worth Rs 12L by the actor. Sugat organized a complete northeast tour for Ajith and he was driving Duke 390 for years. Later Ajith promised one more Nepal and Bhutan ride for Sugat and on May 6th the duo completed their ride.

After the ride was completed, Ajith gifted him the superbike. A fan of AK shared the news on social media, by posting a picture of AK and Sugat. The warm gesture of Ajith Kumar once again proved his gentle heart. The news is viral now and Ajith was lauded by his fans on social media.

Sugat also shared the same through his Instagram account, he wrote,” As they say, nothing is predestined. The obstacles of your past can become the getaways that lead to new beginnings.

Today makers announced this exciting news with powerful Telugu title. The film titled “Thegimpu” will be released by the noted distributor Radhakrishna Entertainments and IVY Productions in AP and TS regions. The distributors have plans to release the film in a record number of screens.

January is set to be a big month for Tamil and Telugu cinema lovers. Thegimpu will be going up against big guns in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana as it is coming alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and ‘Megastar’ Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, including ‘Thalapathy’s Vijay’s Varisu releasing in Telugu under the title Vaarasudu.

Makers will be starting Telugu promotions very soon. The film was directed by H Vinoth. The director is best known for his work of Karthi’s ‘Khaaki.’ Producer Boney Kapoor has bankrolled the film under his Bayview Projects LLP banner in association with Zee Studios.

Thala Ajith has been trying hard to make his splash in Telugu states. He is waiting for the big break in Telugu and he pinned many hopes on Valimai that is carrying huge expectations. H Vinoth directed the film and Boney Kapoor is the director. Telugu actor Karthikeya played the role of the lead antagonist in Valimai. Valimai is an action-packed entertainer. The film got decent screen count in AP and Telangana. Here is the complete review of Valimai:

Story:

The Visakhapatnam gets terrified because of back-to-back crimes, robberies and murders. The people will be left scared and ACP Arjun (Ajith) takes charge to bring situations back into control. He traces Naren (Karthikeya) as the mastermind behind the crimes. Valimai is all about the hunt of Arjun and his team to catch Naren. Watch the film to know about the story of Valimai.

Analysis:

Valimai is an action thriller and the film offers nothing much except some stylish action stunts. One will be surprised about why did Ajith accept such a script. The film is set in the backdrop of a bike racing batch who commit crimes. The action episodes are designed and present in a never seen manner and they are the highlights of the film. The bike chases are well planned and the bus chase in the second half offers a treat. Valimai has no great surprises and twists throughout.

After a decent first half, the second half loses track and offers some boring stuff. The cinematography work stands out throughout the film. The interval bang is shot well though it looks lengthy. Valimai completes on a boring and predictable note. The mother sentiment episode looks forceful and they spoil the film’s mood. The entire second half of Valimai is predictable without twists.

Ajith does his role well and the director has done enough research for his role and it is well designed. The other characters are not perfectly written and Karthikeya’s role should have been penned well. The action episodes are stylish but they missed the needed emotion. The film sounds quite lengthy because of the boring second half. The unwanted drama and sentiment thread disturbs the film’s flow completely. The editing work should have been better.

Ajith who is passionate about racing should have picked such a script. The action episodes are shot with a body double. Karthikeya’s screen presence is good but he did not get the needed powerful role. Huma Qureshi’s role was good during the start but it ends up incomplete. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music is pretty average and the background score for the action episodes is good.

Verdict:
Valimai is a mix of a pale plot that is laced with some extra ordinary action episodes. The film is a boring attempt with predictable episodes throughout.

‘Valimai’ release postponed till Covid situation normalises: Boney Kapoor

The makers of director H. Vinoth’s eagerly awaited action thriller ‘Valimai’, featuring actor Ajith Kumar in the lead, on Thursday announced that they were postponing the release of the film, which was originally scheduled to hit screens on January 13 for the Pongal festival.

Producer Boney Kapoor, in a post on social media, said, “Audiences and fans have always been the source of our felicity. Their unconditional support and love during the hard times, instilled vital hopes in us to face hardships, and successfully complete our dream project.

“All that we desired during every single moment was to see them cheerful and happy in the cinema halls. At the same time, the safety and well being of our audiences have always been at the forefront of all our decisions.

“Given the steep rise in Covid infections across the globe, and abiding by the regulations of the authorities, we have decided to postpone the release of our film, ‘Valimai’ till the situation normalises.

“Get vaccinated, wear a mask and stay safe. See you in the theatres very soon!”

The producer also said, “We thank our distributors in India and across the globe for standing with us at this time.”

Thala Ajith commenced the shoot of his next film Valimai recently and the shoot is happening at a fast pace in Hyderabad. The actor got injured on the sets of the film recently and he got the initial treatment done in Hyderabad. Ajith returned back to Chennai this morning and he informed the team of Valimai that he would return back to the sets of the film after a month. H Vinoth is directing this action entertainer and the plan was to complete the entire shoot by December.

Viswasam trailer : Ajith’s one man show in rural drama

Tamil star Ajith and director Siva joined hands again for a film titled as Viswasam. The theatrical trailer is finally out this Sunday and it glimpses what is in store for audience after the film’s release.

The two minute trailer is Ajith’s one man show in the backdrop of a full length rustic entertainer. From the onset, Ajith’s character takes centre stage and his massy mannerisms and dialogues are the biggest takeaway for the action packed trailer. Director Siva seems to have loaded this film with all ingredients that make up for a perfect Pongal offering to audience. Ajith looks badass and intense in action episodes. His handlebar mustache and traditional avatar will appeal to the masses for sure.

Nayanatara is playing a village belle and Jagapathi Babu gets a meaty stylish role as antagonist in this film. Scenes in which Ajith and Jagapathi Babu confront are likely to be the major highlight for the film. The production values look promising and so does the cinematography as the visuals capturing village atmosphere are appealing. Music score by D. Immam is simply terrific which adds to the intensity of the proceedings.

All in all, the trailer of Viswasam hits the right notes and takes the buzz to the next level. The film is slated for release in January second week.

Ajith Siva – No Action in the Fourth Film

Do you know of any star hero of this generation who has done three of his last four films in the direction of only one director? Well, there is one such hero, and the name is ‘Thala’ Ajith Kumar. And, all those three films belonged to only one genre, ‘Action’.

Ajith and Siva’s first collaboration ‘Veeram’ was released in 2014. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the action family entertainer was a success at box office. This film was recently remade in Telugu by Pawan Kalyan as ‘Katamarayudu’.

The second film in this combo was ‘Vedalam’ (2015), an action-masala film, whose storyline has similarities with NTR’s ‘Oosaravelli’. Ajith’s performance, perfect blend of action and sentiment and some stunning sequences made this film a runaway hit.

They joined hands for the third time for ‘Vivegam’, which hit screens on August 24 this year. This Spy thriller received mixed reviews but it took a thunderous opening at box office.

After doing three films together, all action films, Ajith and Siva are gearing up to join hands yet again, for a fourth film, and this time its not going to be an action film. It will be either a family entertainer or a historical period film, high chances are there for it to be the latter. This will be Siva’s immediate next film. Ajith may do another film before moving back to Siva’s project.

In fact, Siva made his directorial debut in Tollywood with Gopichand’s ‘Souryam’. He did ‘Shankam’ and ‘Daruvu’ before going on to make three back to back films with Ajith.
