Nandamuri Balakrishna is rushed with several offers and he is busy completing the shoot of Veerasimha Reddy that is aimed for release during Sankranthi. The actor will kickstart the shoot of Anil Ravipudi’s mass entertainer and the film is expected to have a post-summer release. The actor has signed a powerful political drama directed by Boyapati Srinu and the shoot commences later in 2023. Balakrishna during his recent interaction announced that Akhanda 2 is on cards and the basic plot of the film got locked. Balayya and Boyapati will finalize things at a later date once they are done with their current projects.

The film may take place in 2025 as per the update. Balakrishna also announced that he would soon direct the sequel of his super hit film Aditya 369. There are speculations that is son Mokshagna will play the lead role in the film. For now, Balakrishna has an interesting set of films lined up. He is also shooting for his celebrity talk show Unstoppable 2.

Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati’s hit commercial treat ‘Akhanda’ has now run for 175 days at Chilakaluripeta’s Ramakrishna theatre in Andhra Pradesh.

According to reports, the theatre owners want to celebrate the occasion privately, and Nandamuri Balakrishna is expected to attend. While most people believe that the days of films being honoured for running for 50 or 100 days are over, Balakrishna proves otherwise by achieving this rare feat.

Following the pandemic, the Telugu box office has seen a proper hit for the first time in a long while, and it all started with Balakrishna’s ‘Akhanda’. In some theatres, the film also completed a 100-day run at the box office in March.

Balakrishna is now working under Gopichand Mallineni of ‘Krack’ fame for their highly-anticipated mass entertainer.

A report has said that the Tamil-dubbed version of “Akhanda” is all set to hit the screens this Friday in Tamil Nadu.

Starring popular Telugu actor Balakrishna in the lead role, directed by Boyapati Srinu, “Akhanda” has been streaming in Telugu on Disney+Hotstar.

Even though “Akhanda” is available on OTT, the movie is planned to be released in theatres in order to capitalise on the existing buzz.

While there is an ambiguity about the dubbed version’s release, it is even said that the movie’s Telugu version will be released in Tamil Nadu.

The makers are yet to clarify the same.

There are no straight Tamil films coming out this week due to the pandemic, so Tamil Nadu distributors have shown interest in the movie “Akhanda”, which can be called a blockbuster hit in Telugu.

There is a possibility that the movie will be dubbed into other languages soon after the Tamil release.

Pragya Jaiswal appears as the heroine in the mass entertainer, while Srikanth and other actors are in significant roles.

Balakrishna’s dynamic role in the movie is lauded by the Telugu audience, while SS Thaman’s music still stays as one of the biggest highlights about “Akhanda”.

Director Boyapati Sreenu’s ‘Akhanda’, featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead, has successfully completed a 50-day run in theatres.

Sources close to the unit claimed that the film had accomplished the feat in 103 centres. ‘Akhanda’, which has been made on a budget believed to be the highest ever for a Balakrishna film, has done a roaring business of Rs 200 crore. This includes theatrical gross and non-theatrical revenues.

Director Boyapati Sreenu and Balakrishna’s combination is proving to be a formidable one as this is the third consecutive blockbuster that the two have managed to deliver together, the other two blockbusters being ‘Simhaa’ and ‘Legend’.

The makers claim that ‘Akhanda’ has provided huge profits to not just the producer but all the distributors as well. The film has been doing exceptionally well overseas too. It recently touched the million-dollar-mark in the US.

‘Akhanda’, which has Pragya Jaiswal playing the female lead, features Srikanth as the antagonist and Jagapathi Babu in a vital role. It has music by Thaman and cinematography by C Ram Prasad.
