Kajal Aggarwal spoke about the South and North film industries at the Rising India summit 2023. She said Hyderabad and Chennai are like home as she has done more films in the south even though she was born and raised in Mumbai. Kajal says South cinema is very friendly and easily acceptable, but many people try Hindi films as we get a wider range of exposure.

Kajal also said that South Indian Industry is more disciplined with wonderful directors and phenomenal content. She said that the ecosystem, ethics and values are lacking in Hindi Cinema. She added Cinema is Cinema and there is no divide of language. Kajal will be next seen in Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2. She recently signed the next film of Nandamuri Balakrishna and the actress joined the sets recently. Kajal said that she would continue to do films.

Actress Kajal Aggarwal, who has just turned a mom, on Thursday said that postpartum might not be glamorous but it sure can be beautiful.

The actress took to Instagram to pen a long post on the experience of welcoming her child into this world.

“Excited and elated to welcome my baby Neil into this world. Our birthing was exhilarating, overwhelming, patient, long, yet-the-most-satisfying experience there could be!

“Holding Neil upon my chest covered with white mucous membrane and placenta within a second of his birth has been my only tryst with self-actualisation. Such an indescribable feeling. That one moment made me understand the deepest potential of love, made me feel tremendous amount of gratitude and realise the responsibility of my heart outside of my body – forever – and all at the same time.

“Of course, it’s not been easy – sleepless three nights that bleed into early mornings, learning to latch and burp, squishy bellies and stretched skin, frozen pads, breast pumps, uncertainty, constant worry if you’re doing it all right, topped with dozes of anxiety.

“But it’s also moments like this – Sweet cuddles in the wee hours of the morning, gazing into each other’s eyes with a look of confident recognition, adorable little kisses, the quiet moments where it’s just the two of us, growing, learning, discovering each other and navigating this wonderful journey together. In reality, postpartum isn’t glamorous but it sure can be beautiful!”

Actress Kajal Aggarwal, who is in the family way, has penned an emotional post to her husband Gautam Kitchlu, to not just thank him for his love and care during her pregnancy, but to also let him know what an amazing father he will make.

Thank you for being so selfless, for waking up with me almost every night while I had �morning’ sickness, for camping out on the couch with me for weeks because it was the most comfy place for me to sleep, for immediately texting the doctor and taking me to mom’s house to put my legs up during the braxton hicks contractions and never hesitating or making me feel bad, for always making sure I’m well fed, well hydrated and comfortable, for taking care of me and lastly for loving me through it all.

“Before our sweet baby comes, I want you to know how wonderful you are and that you will be an amazing father as well !

“In the past eight months, I have watched you become the most loving dad. I know how in love with this baby you are and how much you care already- it makes me feel so lucky that our baby will have a father who loves unconditionally, be there no matter what and have an extraordinary role model to look up to.

“Our lives are going to change drastically, and I’m so grateful for that. We won’t have all the alone time we have now – we won’t be able to go to the movies every weekend, or lay around and sleep and binge watch shows, we probably won’t go out impromptu partying for a while or have as many date nights� BUT we will have a beautiful baby that will fill our hearts with so much joy.

“There will be sleepless nights, times we feel sick, times we aren’t feeling ourselves, but this will also be the best time of our life. Things will change but one thing will stay the same and that is how much I love you! I’m blessed to have you by my side for our greatest adventure yet. Actress Kajal Aggarwal, who is in the family way, has begun doing aerobics and strength conditioning exercises to keep herself healthy.

“All women who are pregnant without complications should be encouraged to participate in aerobic and strength conditioning exercises as part of a healthy lifestyle during their pregnancy – Pilates and barre helped my body change for the better pre and through my pregnancy.

“This transformative approach has me feeling stronger, longer and leaner. The goal of aerobic conditioning in pregnancy should be to maintain a good fitness level throughout without trying to reach peak fitness.”

Actress Kajal Aggarwal returns to the screens post marriage with the horror series, Live Telecast, which marks her debut in the OTT space. The trailer of the show was launched on Friday, and the show itself drops on February 12.

“As an actor, I am constantly looking for roles that challenge me and take me out of my comfort zone. ‘Live Telecast’ did just that,” Kajal said.

“My character Jenny, a director by profession, is a strong and independent woman whose single minded goal is to make a successful TV show and, in that quest, she finds herself locked in a huge house with no way out. Audiences who love horror stories and otherwise are going to love this show,” she added.

The seven-episode Tamil series has been directed by Venkat Prabhu, and also stars Vaibhav Reddy, Kayal Anandhi, Priyanka, Selva, Daniel Annie Pope, and Subbu Panchu Arunachalam.

The series narrates the story of a TV crew adamant on creating a superhit show, who come to realise that they are trapped in a house controlled by supernatural powers. Their tryst with the supernatural is live for millions to watch.

Prabhu is also making his digital debut as writer and director., and he says “Live Telecast’ has been a dream project “which I wanted to do as my first film”.

“This is my fresh attempt at storytelling for a digital platform, and the entire experience of transforming this film script to series has been a massive journey,” said Prabhu.

He added: “Horror is a speculative genre. It feeds on the heightened sense of the unknown and one has to balance between moments of silence and spook. I believe I delivered the story in my style which has a good combination of horror, thrill and mystery; and will keep the audience gripped till the very end.”

Live Telecast will release on Disney+ Hotstar VIP and Premium.
