Filmmaker-actor Rishab Shetty and his leading lady Sapthami Gowda are in the National Capital and promoted their mega blockbuster ‘Kantara’ at India Gate.

The power duo looked enchanting in white. Rishabh was seen wearing traditional south Indian outfit.

After winning hearts of millions in Kannada and Hindi versions, its box office collections are witnessing a constant rise.

‘Kantara’ Hindi market numbers have constantly been seeing a great jump in its box office collections with a total of 53.7 Cr till November 4.

Other than registering phenomenal growth at the box office, ‘Kantara’ also made its position at No. 1 in the list of India’s Current Top 250 Films which was released by IMDb recently.

Kantara was released in the Kannada version and Hindi version on September 30 and October 14 respectively.

The film is written and directed by Rishab Shetty. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda, under Hombale Films, the film features Rishab Shetty, Sapthami Gowda, and Kishore Kumar G in pivotal roles.

Kantara has breached 270cr gross worldwide with a tremendous run in all the states. It is declared as an ALL-TIME BLOCKBUSTER with chances of grossing over 300 cr. The film is now the second-highest Kannada film of all time beating KGF-1. It has even a chance to beat KGF-2 which grossed 170cr in Karnataka. Footfalls of the film in Karnataka state are much higher than KGF-2 already.

In the Telugu States and in the USA the film is having a tremendous run as it grossed over 40 cr in the Telugu States already and is moving towards the 50 cr mark. It has beaten the recent blockbuster Vikram in the Telugu States. Telugu Version in the USA has grossed 700 thousand USD.

Rajnikanth meets Rishab Shetty amidst ‘Kantara’ mega success

As his film ‘Kantara’ received a roaring response, filmmaker-actor Rishabh Shetty met superstar Rajinikanth to celebrate the success of the movie.

Recently, Rajnikanth heaped praises on the film and the lead actor Rishab as he said: “The unknown is more than the known.”

“No one could have said this better in cinema than Hombale films,” and added: “Rishab, hats off to you as a writer, director and actor”.

Rajinikanth all praise for ‘Kantara’ helmer Rishab Shetty: ‘Hats off to you’

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth is the latest celebrity to shower praise on director Rishab Shetty’s Kannada film ‘Kantara’, which has been garnering praise from all corners of the country ever since it first hit the screens earlier this month.

Taking to Twitter, Rajinikanth wrote, “The unknown is more than the known” — no one could have said this better in cinema than Hombale Films’ ‘Kantara’.

“You gave me goosebumps Rishab, hats off to you as a writer, director and actor. Congrats to the whole cast and crew of this masterpiece in Indian cinema.”

The film has not only come in for praise from celebrities. It has also set the cash registers ringing.

Continuing its fantastic run even in the Hindi belt, the film, earned Rs 26.50 crore in week two.

‘Kantara’ opened with a huge collection of Rs 1.27 crore on the very first day in the Hindi market. Its second-day collection was Rs 2.75 crore and net collection on the third day in the Hindi market was Rs 3.5 crore.

Despite the reduction in ticket rates, the film saw an outstanding jump of 40 to 50% in the collections on Monday as compared to Friday with a Rs 1.75 crore net in the Hindi market.

With a net collection of Rs 1.88 crore on Tuesday and Rs 1.95 crore on Wednesday, the film registered steady growth. On Thursday, it made Rs 1.90 crore net, which jumped to Rs 2.05 crore on Friday.

On Saturday, its box office collection in the Hindi market reached Rs 2.55 crore. and on Sunday and Monday, it earned Rs 2.65 crore and Rs 1.90 crore respectively.

Now, according to Tuesday’s records, it has garnered Rs 2.35 crore.

Kantara team accused of Plagiarism

Kantara(all versions) crosses 200cr worldwide – 25 days Worldwide Update

Kantara has breached 200cr gross worldwide with a tremendous run in all the states. The film will be overtaking KGF-1 (all versions) lifetime gross of 230 Cr in a few weeks. The film is heading for all-time footfalls in the Karnataka state beating KGF-2 and it is also likely to beat KGF-2 Kannada version gross in the state. Based on the budget and collections one can say that the film is a superlative hit and one of the biggest for the Sandalwood Industry.

The film is having an excellent run outside the home state be it AP/TS, North India, Kerala & Tamil Nadu. The overseas gross of the film is just behind KGF-2 and the Telugu Version is now doing excellent business in the USA.

Diwali Weekend: Kantara’s Pure Domination

Now, ‘Baahubali’ producer joins growing legion of ‘Kantara’ admirers

Shobu Yarlagadda, one of the producers of director S. S. Rajamouli’s blockbuster ‘Baahubali’, has showered praise on director Rishab Shetty’s recently released Kannada film ‘Kantara’, saying he was “Mind blown!” by the film.

Taking to Twitter, Yarlagadda wrote: “Kantara! Mind Blown! No film has touched me at the core as this film! It’s cinematic brilliance!! The climax … Oh My God!

“Please watch it in theatres! What performances, cinematography and music! Take a bow Rishab Shetty, Hombale Films and the entire team!”

Yarlagadda is the latest to have showered praise on the film which has not only come in for rave reviews but which is also setting the cash registers to ring all across the country.

Be it the Kannada or Hindi version, the film’s box office collections are something that are constantly breaking all records.

After having emerged a hit in the southern parts of the country, the film, which opened with a decent collection of Rs 1.27 crore net on the very first day in the Hindi market, increased its collections to end the second-day at Rs 2.75 crore. And it ended day three, with a net collection of Rs 3.5 crore in the Hindi market.

On Monday, the film saw an impressive jump of 40 to 50 per cent in collections as compared to Friday with Rs 1.75 crore net in the Hindi market.

Kantara to have a Sequel

Kannada film Kantara is a sensational hit in all the languages. The film raked more than Rs 100 crores in Kannada in just two weeks and the film is doing exceptionally well in Telugu, Hindi and other languages.
