Too much demand for this Bollywood Remake

Most of the filmmakers are not attempting remakes as the successful films are available on digital platforms in all the Indian languages. Kill is one small film that made big noise across the country because of the strong content. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions bankrolled the film and Kill is being remade in Hollywood very soon. There is a huge demand for the Telugu remake rights and several top producers are in talks with Dharma Productions for the remake.

Suresh Babu is in plans to remake the film with Rana Daggubati soon. Some of the Telugu producers are considering Varun Tej, Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Akhil for the remake. The talks are currently going on and a clarity on the Telugu remake of Kill is expected soon. Some of the young actors like Vishwak Sen and Kiran Abbavaram too are quite interested to remake the film. A clarity on the remake of Kill will be out very soon.

Karan Johar too is in plans to rent a lavish office space in Hyderabad to collaborate with young talent of Telugu cinema. For now, nothing has been materialized and Karan Johar will announce some of the biggest projects with Tollywood actors next year.

Karan Johar to remake his Blockbuster Film in South

Kill, a small Bollywood film created a sensation and is racing towards a blockbuster. Despite several releases, the film is minting decent money. It is directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. It is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Guneet Monga, Apoorva Mehta and Achin Jain. Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Harsh Chhaya, Tanya Maniktala and Abhishek Chauhan played the lead roles in this action thriller. Karan Johar is receiving numerous offers to remake the film in South. Karan is keen to collaborate with a renowned production house and rope in a star actor from South to remake Kill in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.

Tollywood actors like Sudheer Babu and Kiran Abbavaram approached Karan Johar to acquire the remake rights of Kill but Karan is keen to remake the film by himself through a collaboration. Surprisingly, John Wick director Chad Stahelski is all set to remake the film in Hollywood and he will co-produce the film along with Karan Johar. The deal was inked even before the theatrical release of Kill.

Bollywood has been in a huge stress because of the debacles and declined non-theatrical market. But stars are demanding big remunerations despite box-office failures. Top director and producer Karan Johar took a dig at stars without naming someone in particular. Karan Johar said that the stars are demanding Rs 35 crores and the films of these stars are not even opening at Rs 3.5 crores on the first day. This is not limited to the Hindi film industry, said Karan Johar.

Speaking about South films, Karan Johar said “Telugu market also has witnessed a similar atmosphere. Several tier 2 and 3 actors are demanding big remunerations after scoring a series of flops. Stars are demanding big as they have an exceptional market but smaller actors struggling for success are demanding huge remunerations. They are demanding double digit remunerations”. Karan Johar is quite selective now and he is picking up wise projects.

NTR’s upcoming film Devara is hot in trade. This happens to be the next film of NTR after RRR and the film is helmed by Koratala Siva. The shoot is under process and the film is announced for October 10th release for Dasara. Filmmaker Karan Johar in the recent episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’, which saw Bhavana Pandey, Maheep Kapoor and Gauri Khan, said that he thinks actress Ananya Panday “dated two boys at the same time”.

During the rapid-fire round, Karan asked Gauri about her dating advice for daughter, Suhana Khan, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’.

Karan questioned: “The one advice you gave Suhana about dating.”

Gauri replied, “Never date two boys at the same time. Never.”

He added: “Good advice.”

Looking at Bhavana, Karan then said: “I think Ananya has done that already.”

A shocked Bhavana said:, “Has she?”

To which, Karan replied: “Ya. I think she was oscillating in between.”

Bhavana then said: “No, she was thinking of two so she broke up with one,” leaving everyone laughing.

Ananya recently broke up with actor Ishaan Khatter.

Ishaan was a guest on the show with Katrina Kaif and Siddhant Chaturvedi last week.

Karan asked him: “You broke up with Ananya recently”

He said: “Did I, because you said she broke up with me recently.”

Vijay Deverakonda, who’s been making waves with his ripped-up body for the multilingual MMA action film “Liger”, revealed to Karan Johar that the most public place he has had sex is “a boat”.

Appearing with “Liger” co-star Ananya Panday in the fourth episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’ Season 7, Deverakonda clarified that the boat in question was in fact “like a small yacht”.

He was responding to his celebrity host’s question/comment: “In the middle of the ocean? Nobody else or like… ?” Hearing Deverakonda’s reply, Karan remarked that it was sexy, even as Ananya said, “I don’t do all these things.”

Karan jumped on Ananya’s statement and, in his usual wide-eyed, schoolboy grin-laced way, and asked her if she hadn’t had sex in a public place, she said: “I haven’t done it.” And she added that her parents — Bollywood actor Chunky Panday and costume designer Bhavna Panday — were going to watch the show.

Ananya had clearly walked into a trap and Karan did not let go of the opportunity. “So, what do they think? They have a vestal virgin at home!”

Deverakonda also let out that he had had sex in cars. Karan responded to that with: “But aren’t they uncomfortable? I haven’t done anything in a car.” The “Liger” rose to the occasion with a memorable answer accompanied by a meaningful wink: “Desperate times.”

On a more personal note, Deverakonda, who’s now regarded as perhaps the country’s sexiest single man, candidly talked about rumours that he was dating Rashmika “Srivalli” Mandanna.

He said they had done two films together at an early stage of his professional career and they had been good friends since then. “She’s a darling and I’m fond of her. She’s a really good friend of mine.”
