AP registering highest unemployment rate, says Lokesh

0

TDP geneal secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday said that it is really unfortunate that the unemployment rate in the State has increaed to 24 per cent, which is the highest in the country.

Lokesh on Tuesday tweeted that compared to all the States in the county, Andhra Pradesh registered the highest unemployment rate of 24 per cent. Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has completely destroyed the State which was once flourished with job and employment opportunities as a result of which the youth is in total disappointement, he tweeted. Lokesh wished that the future of the youth in the State who has all the necessary qualifications should progress well.

Women representatives from Payakaraopet Assembly segment complained to Lokesh during his ongoing Yuva Galam pada yatra at Godicherla village that there is no security for them in the YSRCP rule. In a memorandum to Lokesh they said that there is no use of Disha Act and made an appeal to him that the coming TDP government bring in a legislation that provides security for women in the State.

The women representatives also requested Lokesh to set up employment training centres and sanction loans to them on subsidy. They also wanted facilities like pension for single women and Pendli Kanuka (wedding gift) be introduced by the next governemnt to be formed by the TDP.

Observing that the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is cheating women in the name of Disha Act which is not at all in existence, Lokesh told the women representatives that the murders and atrocities on women in daylight are totally ignored. “Soon after the TDP forms the next government a legisaltion on the lines of East Coast States will be enacted for the security of women in the State and the Maha Sakthi scheme will be introduced to solve the problems of women,” he added.

Lokesh also promised to provide free bus travel facility for women and a financial assistance of Rs 2,500 per month for every woman in the State besides sanctioning loans on high subisidy to them. Woman entrepreneurs will be encouraged with special incentives and Pendli Kanuka scheme will be implemnted, he said.

At Uddandapuram of Nakkapalli mandal in Payakaraopet Assembly segment, the villagers brought to the notice of Lokesh that 75 per cent of the works of the phase four of the Central Public Works Service (CPWS) are complete as the necessary funds of Rs 51 cr was released during the TDP regime to esolve the drinking water problem in their area but after the YSRCP came to power these works came to a standstill. As a result 80 villages in the area are not getting safe drinking water, the villagers informed Lokesh and made an appeal to him to complete its remaining works to supply safe drining water to 80 villages in their area.

Jagan miserably failed even to meet the basic needs of the people who elected him to power, Lokesh said and stated that it is really unfortunate that though the Centre has released funds under Jal Jeevan Mission this inefficient Government failed to utilise these funds. Soon after the TDP is into power in the coming polls water grid will be set up to supply safe drinking water to every doorstep for 24 hours a day, he told the villagers.

Lokesh said that Jagan has cheated even the Anganwadi workers too by not fulfilling the promise made to them on increasing their wages. This apart the work load on them has been increased heavily, Lokesh said and expressed solidarity with the Anganwadi workers who on an agitation demanding fulfilemnt of their demands.

When the Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor land displaced informed Lokesh that though the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) promised to pay compensation to them as per the Land Acquisition Act-2013 norms, only Rs 18 lakh is paind to them per acre. Also, the then TDP govenment announced awards for their lands in 2016 and till today no steps are taken to come to their rescue, they informed Lokesh in a memorandum.

The Jagan Government is more interested in real estate business than safeguarding the interests of the displaced, Lokesh said, adding that it is the duty of the State Governemnt to pay compensation to the displaced as per the guidelines when their lands are acquired for public purpose. “Justice will be done for all the displaced of the Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor once the TDP is into power again,” Lokesh assured them.

Participating in the Mahila Sakthi programme at Chinna Doddigallu campsite, Lokesh expressed concern that the Jagan Government is not extending any financial assistance for women under self-employment scheme and the prices of essentials are skyrocketing in the YSRCP rule. The Chandranna Bheema scheme which was available during the TDP regime was withdrawan now and the DWCRA system too was completely destroyed, he said.

Regretting that when the TDP is standing by those families who are distress, this Government is registering false cases against such leaders, Lokesh said that leave alone coming to the rescue of women who are in trouble, this Government has diverted Rs 2,200 cr funds saved by DWCRA women under Abhaya Hastam. Soon after the TDP-Jana Sena combine government is formed after the next elections, fee reimbursement scheme will be revived and all other schemes meant for the welfare of women will be reintroduced, Lokesh observed.

Coming TDP govt will invite pollution-free companies to provide jobs to youth, says Lokesh

0

Stating that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has not fulfilled the promises made to the SEZ farmers in Kakinada, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, said here on Sunday that the coming TDP government will only invite pollution-free companies to the State and will provide large-scale employment to the youth.

Before beginning his Yuva Galam pada yatra on Sunday, Lokesh had an interaction with the Kakinada SEZ farmers who complained that their lands for forcibly taken over for setting up the SEZ when Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy was the chief minister and the then government did not pay suitable compensation for them. However, the TDP government that succeeded paid Rs 2 lakh extra per acre as compensation, they told Lokesh.

During his pada yatra before becoming the Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, also has promised them to provide jobs to them and also increase the compensation but he did not fulfill the promise after coming to power, they informed Lokesh. Now the fact is that the SEZ is not set up and the local YSRCP leaders are doing real estate business with these lands, they told Lokesh and made an appeal to him to resolve their problems once the TDP is back in power.

”Jagan is certainly eligible for Oscar award in uttering blatant lies and the TDP never makes promises that can not be fulfilled,” Lokesh said. The TDP is going to form the next government and immediately after that all their problems will be resolved on a warfooting basis. Observing that he is aware of the sacrifices made by the farmers for the setting up of the SEZ, Lokesh promised to lift all the cases filed by this Government against the farmers.

”The people are going to merge this Government in Bay of Bengal within three months and the coming TDP government will take the responsibility of providing employment to the children of farmers who have donated their lands for the SEZ,” Lokesh said.

The Ambedkar Welfare Association representatives from Srungavruksham village met Lokesh and in a memorandum submitted to him they made a request to him to provide jobs to the youth and also revive the fee reimbursement facility once the TDP is back in power. Also they wanted all the welfare schemes withdrawn by this Government be revived once the TDP forms the next government.

Expressing concern that there is no security for Dalits in the YSRCP Government, Lokesh said that the State is on top in South India in attacks on Dalits. ”I am promising you all that the TDP is going to form the next government and we are back in power we will revive all the 27 welfare schemes that are withdrawn now,” he added.

When Lokesh visited the agricultural lands at Ontimamidi village in Tuni Assembly segment that are hit by the Michaung cyclone, local tenant farmers said that unless compensation is paid for them they have no option but to commit suicide. Lokesh said that the matter will be taken to the notice of the Centre and immediately after the TDP is into power permanent measures will be taken to solve the problems of the tenant farmers.

Lokesh angry at poor quality of Anna Prasadam at Tirumala

0

The pilgrims of Tirumala consider the Anna Prasadam as the blessing of Lord Venkateswara and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is least worried about its poor quality, said TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday.

Expressing anger at the negligence of the TTD authorities on supply of such inferior quality Anna Prasadam, Lokesh said in a statement released here that the pilgrims revolting against the TTD on supply of such low quality food for them at Tirumala Vengamamba Anna Prasadam reflects how the temple authorities are resorting to largescale corruption atop the Tirumala Hills. “My grand-father, the late NT Rama Rao, had launched the Anna Dana Nilayam on April 6, 1985 atop the Tirumala Hills and since then slowly but steadily the system of supplying free food has been extended widely with the help of all sections to satiate crores of pilgrims hunger,” Lokesh said.

These Anna Prasadams, which were set up with liberal donations from patrons, have turned into centres of corruption after the YSRCP came to power, Lokesh remarked and regretted that the quality of the Anna Prasadams too has been lowered.
Devotees, who come to Tirumala from across the country, consider the food supplied at the Anna Prasadams as more sacred than even Prasadam, Lokesh said and demanded the TTD to answer the pilgrims as to why such poor quality food is being supplied at the Anna Prasadams.

Stating that he donates Rs 30 lakh every year on the birthday of his son, Devansh, for Anna Danam (food charity), Lokesh asked where all the money being donated by several lakhs of people like him is going and why such inferior quality food is being supplied to the pilgrims. Lokesh is confident that though these corrupt people are safeguarded by the ruling YSRCP, they will certainly be punished by the Almighty. The YSRCP Government and the TTD Trust Board will have to pay a very heavy price for violating the sanctity of Tirumala Tirupati.

The ruling party leaders threatening to register cases against those who raise their voice on the corruption and irregularities in the TTD, raises doubts on the involvement of the ruling party leaders in the corruption in TTD, he stated. It is really atrocious that no compensation has been paid yet to the family members of a kid who was killed by a tiger though the court has also ordered for the payment, Lokesh regretted.

It is really surprising that the TTD, which gets the highest revenue in the world, does not have even Rs 5 lakh to pay as ex gratia to the family of that kid, Lokesh said. Is it not a conspiracy to distance the pilgrims from Lord Venkateswara by revising the bus charges to Tirumala, withdrawing the facility to supply food to the pilgrims who are standing in the queue lines and milk to the kids, hiking the prices of laddus by bringing down the quality and increasing the rent of the rooms from Rs 100 to Rs 1,000, Lokesh asked.

In Jagan’s vicious culture even justice is handcuffed, says Lokesh

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has brought in a vicious culture in which even justice is getting handcuffed, regretted Nara Lokesh, TDP general secretary, on Saturday.

When the advocates from Pithapuram met Lokesh during his ongoing Yuva Galam pada yatra and made an appeal to him to repeal the Land Titling Act-2023 immediately after the TDP forms the government after the coming elections, Lokesh expressed concern that the Jagan Government is harassing even the advocates who fight for justice by filing false cases. The advocates also made an appeal to Lokesh to fill the vacant posts in the courts across the State as justice is getting delayed.

Informing the TDP general secretary about the non-release of Rs 75 lakh funds for the welfare of the lawyers, they wanted a separate act for the security of their community. The advocates also wanted amendments to the 41A CrPC as it is being misused now.

Regretting that black laws are being enacted to see to it that the common man does not get justice, Lokesh said even judges are being humiliated taking advantage of social media. Assuring the advocates that a legislaton will certainly be enacted for the safety and security of the lawyers once the TDP forms the next government, Lokesh promised them that the Land Titling Act will be repealed and also the welfare fund for advocates will be increased. Lokesh also informed them that fast track courts will be set up by the coming TDP government and all the incomplete court buildings will be constructed.

Lokesh, who began his Yuva Galam pada yatra at Thimmapuram campsite in Kakinada (Rural) Assembly segment entered Pithapuram at Chitrada where he was welcomed by local TDP leaders, including former MLA, Varma. In a statement released here on Saturday, Lokesh said that the vigilance staff members of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) acted like street-rowdies in attacking the SV Arts College student.

The TTD vigilance staff members virtually killed the first year student of the SV Arts college, Jitendra Kumar, only out of revenge, he said. It is really regrattable that the student committed suicide after the attack by the vigilance staff, Lokesh said, adding that this is nothing but an official murder.

Demanding payment of Rs 50 lakh as compensation for the family members of Jitendra Kumar, Lokesh said that those responsible for the suicide of the boy should be punished severely.

Jagan Govt ignored fishermen welfare, says Lokesh

0

The Jagan Mohan Reddy Government has totally ignored the welfare of fishermen community in the East Godavari district and has deceived them by not allocating any funds for their welfare, said Nara Lokesh, TDP general secretary, on Friday.

As the Yuva Galam pada yatra entered the East Godavari district, Lokesh was received by the local TDPand the Jana Sena leaders, including former MLAs, Pilli Anantha Lakshmi, and Konda Babu. At the Balayogi statue, representatives of the fishermen community from Kakinada submitted a memorandum to Lokesh in which they said that they are not being paid the subsidy and no market yards to sell the fish products. They informed Lokesh that the youth are migrating to other States as there are no employment opportunities in the State.

Lokesh said that boats and nets were supplied to fishermen at highly subsidised prices during the TDP regime under Adarana scheme but this Government has totally taken the community for a ride. Immediately after the TDP is back in power, necessary sheds will be erected to enable the fishermen to sell their products. He also promised them that a separate residential college will be established in Kakinada exclusively for the community and employment opportunities will be created for the youth.

The representatives of the Lorry Owners Association, in a memorandum informed Lokesh that the YSRCP Government is simply looting the transport sector by imposing various kinds of taxes like Green Tax, Road Tax and insurance. Unnecessary fines to the tune of Rs 30,000 are being imposed on them and the lorry owners are suffering heavy losses due to these issues and also due to the steep hike in diesel prices, they told Lokesh. On top if it all, local MLA, Chandrasekhara Reddy, is harassing the lorry owners, they said.

Expressing concern that the transport sector is pushed into crisis by the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government in the owners becoming drivers, Lokesh said that once the TDP forms the coming government the tax structure will be reviewed to bring relief to the owners. Also, involvement of politicians into lorry owners associations will be thoroughly checked besides lifting the restrictions on transport of farm products, he said.

The Mini-Van Association representatives also complained to Lokesh that taxes are being imposed on them indiscriminately forcing their business into heavy losses and made an appeal to him to review the tax structure once the TDP is back in power. Lokesh assured them that the coming TDP regime will certainly resolve their problems and the roads that are damaged now will be repaired.

The Agri Gold customers and agents, in a memorandum made an appeal to Lokesh that justice is not being done to them by this Government. Observing that Agri Gold-affected people are still waiting for justice, Lokesh assured them that all their problems will be addressed by the next TDP government.

Jagan’s focus is on looting State than on people’s welfare, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Thursday said that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is more interested in looting the State than focusing on the people’s welfare and issues that are plaguing the State.

During his ongoing Yuva Galam pada yatra, the villagers of Injaram of Mummidivaram Assembly segment in a memorandum said that though the local MLA laid the foundation four years ago for rebuilding the flyover near their village which is in a dilapidated condition no steps are taken till now to begin the works. Also, almost 14 villages nearby are reeling under acute water crisis, the villagers informed Lokesh.

Expressing concern that the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is not paying even the power bills of the lift irrigation schemes due to which water crisis has deepened, Lokesh said that once the TDP forms the next government all the problems will be resolved on priority basis.

The Bapanapalle villagers who met Lokesh raised various problems they are facing, including the poor condition of roads in their area. As the pending bills are not cleared, construction of the housing units has not been taken up.

Responding to the villager’s complaint, Lokesh said that once the TDP is back all the bills that have been kept pending due to political vendetta will be cleared. Since a massive amount of bills are pending no contractor is coming forward to take up the works and this will be resolved by the coming TDP regime, he told the villagers.

P Mallavaram villagers informed Lokesh that an oil company being managed by the ONGC has not fulfilled any promise made to them during the laying of its pipeline. Mr Lokesh assured them that the coming TDP government will certainly solve the matter.

Permanent Caste Certificates will be issued approving JC Sharma Commission report, says Lokesh

0

The representatives of Beda and Budaga Jangam communities in Mummidivaram Constituency met TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh and submitted a petition outlining their problems.

They mentioned that around 500 people from these communities in Konaseema district were designated as Scheduled Caste in the past. But in 2008, the government halted their caste certificates, citing concerns about bogus certificates.

Despite the formation of the JC Sharma commission by TDP chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, which is still pending approval from the Centre, they are not receiving the welfare schemes they are entitled to.

In response, Lokesh stated that various sections of society have been deceived by the Jagan Reddy government. He acknowledged the unfortunate delay in approving the RC Sharma Commission report over the past 4.5 years and assured the representatives that the report would be sanctioned.

He pledged to provide permanent caste certificates to Beda and Budaga Jangam communities, ensuring access to welfare schemes and educational opportunities without obstacles.

A psycho derives evil pleasure by harassing poor, says Lokesh

0

Creating problems for the people and causing difficulties to derive evil pleasure are the qualities of a psycho, remarked TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday.

In a statement released from his campsite at Mummadivaram, Lokesh said that the Anna Canteen set up during the TDP regime has been converted into ward Secretariat now. Chandrababu Naidu, as the chief minister of the State has set up the Anna Canteen with a view to providing food to the poor to ensure that no one should suffer from hunger.

But now this psycho Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has forced the poor to go hungry by closing these Anna Canteens, Lokesh said in the statement. And now shamelessly delivering speeches at public meetings that he is on the side of the poor, Lokesh remarked. This will certainly push the anarchic rule of Jagan to an end, Lokesh felt.

During the Yuva Galam pada yatra the Dalits of Mummidivaram complained to Lokesh that the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government has not as allocated any funds for the SC Corporation and made an appeal to the TDP national general secretary to initiate steps to resolve their problems once the TDP is back in power. Lokesh assured them that all the necessary steps will be taken by the coming TDP government to solve their problems.

The villagers of Komanapalli in a memorandum to Lokesh said that the price of sand has increased abnormally while during the TDP regime the price was less. Lokesh assures GAIL-affected villagers

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Monday assured the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) affected villagers of Nagaram in P Gannavaram Assembly segment to take the matter to the notice of the Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) and the GAIL.

Lokesh resumed his Yuva Galam pada yatra after a long gap of almost 80 days. During his pada yatra the villagers who are affected by the GAIL and the ONGC met him and submitted a memorandum in which they raised various issues that they are facing. The villagers said that on June 27, 2014 the GAIL pipelines in their area exploded resulting in the loss of 22 lives while several others suffered serious injuries.

They mentioned in the memorandum that the then TDP government paid Rs 25 lakh each as ex gratia while the GAIL and the ONGC did not come forward to pay the compensation that they announced at the time of the incident. Even the promises made by the Central agencies to adopt the village and to rebuild the houses that were damaged due to the blast are also not fulfilled till now, they informed Lokesh.

This apart, only Rs 30 lakh is paid till now for the reconstruction of the temple in the village though at the time of the blast they estimated the damage to be Rs 80 lakh, they told Lokesh. Several others promises like setting up a Skill Development Centre in the village to come to the rescue of the jobless youth, upgrading the primary health centre (PHC) as 100-bedded hospital and the compensation for the 17.5 acres of land in which the ONGC and the GAIL have set up their officers where Muslim Panjas were existing earlier is not paid, they said and made an appeal to Mr Lokesh to resolve all these issues once the TDP is back in power.

Responding to their appeal, Lokesh regretted that it is really unfortunate that the ONGC and the GAIL did not come to the rescue of the affected though it is almost 10 years since the incident has taken place. Appreciating the efforts of the villagers that they are contributing their mite to the GAIL and the ONGC despite facing a lot of problems, Lokesh felt that it is the total responsibility and duty of the oil companies to help the affected when some undue incidents take place.

Promising to rebuild the temples and the Muslim panjas once the TDP is back in power, Lokesh assured the affected villagers that the matter will certainly be taken to the notice of the GAIL and ONGC officials and see to it that all the promises made to them are fulfilled.

Lokeshj resumes Yuva Galam padayatra

0

TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh on Monday resumed his Yuva Galam padayatra after a hiatus of 79 days in Podalada, Razole Assembly Constituency. The Yuva Galam Padayatra, temporarily halted due to the illegal arrest of TDP Chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, has recommenced from the point where it concluded during the first phase.

On the 210th day of his Yuva Galam padayatra, over 20,000 people walked with Nara Lokesh, accompanied by TDP leaders K Atchannaidu, Nimmala Ramanaidu, Kimidi Kalavenkata Rao, Kollu Ravindra, Nakka Anand Babu, Gollapalli Surya Rao, Devineni Uma, Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary, TD Janardhan, Harish, Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, and YSRCP Rebel MLA Undavalli Sridevi.

Addressing the public at Tatipaka Centre in Razole Assembly Constituency, Lokesh mentioned that facing crises is not new for the Telugu Desam Party. He reminded the people that during the dissolution of the legendary NT Ramarao’s government, the Telugu people fought and reinstated him as Chief Minister.

Lokesh urged people to wait patiently for three months, assuring that the TDP, once in power, will address all their concerns. He emphasized that Yuva Galam has transformed into Prajagalam (People’s voice) with every step he takes.

Lokesh criticized CM Jagan Reddy for attempting to stop Yuva Galam by seizing his microphone and stool, assaulting his microphone operator, and filing 6 false cases against him and several cases against Yuva Galam volunteers. The TDP General Secretary asserted that Jagan Reddy filed false cases, such as Skill Development, Fibernet, Inner Ring Road, Irregularities in Sand and Liquor policy, just to prevent Chandrababu Naidu from addressing public issues, as Jagan was afraid of him. He revealed that Jagan will soon file a case against the TDP government for introducing ‘Anna Canteens,’ aimed at feeding the poor with government money. He stated that the YSRC government handcuffed justice by imprisoning Chandrababu Naidu for 53 days on false charges.

The TDP General Secretary further claimed that Jagan Reddy imprisoned Chandrababu Naidu by manipulating systems and institutions. However, the AP High Court stood for the truth and released him on regular bail, explicitly mentioning in its order that Jagan managed institutions and systems to imprison the former CM. Nara Lokesh questioned where Jagan should be lodged for looting public money amounting to Rs 43,000 crores and being accused in 38 cases if Chandrababu Naidu was imprisoned on false charges for 53 days.

Furthermore, the young TDP leader revealed that Jagan Reddy cheated government employees by introducing GPS after promising to revoke CPS before the 2019 elections. He emphasized that TDP will credit the salaries of government employees on time, along with releasing their pensions. He said that Jagan Reddy also cheated the police by not providing TA, DA, and their allowances, besides cutting them by 15%. He assured that GO No 79 will be revoked by the TDP government in the first 100 days of forming the government, and their allowances will be given back.

it’s really painful medicos getting addicted to drugs, regrets Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday regretted that the budding doctors are getting addicted to drugs and are turning as patients to get themselves admitted to hospitals with unusual behaviour.

The recent raids on the medical colleges in Ongole and Kurnool clearly indicate that the medical colleges are turning into centres for drug trafficking, Lokesh said in a statement here. After observing the violent behaviour of some medicos who got badly addicted to drugs, one cannot imagine the situation in the State, Lokesh remarked.

Maintaining that during his Yuva Galam pada yatra he has personally witnessed some scenes in which some school students are addicted to ganja, Lokesh said that fearing that the future of the youth is at stake he has written to the Prime Minister seeking steps to control the rampant drug abuse and availability of ganja in the State. He expressed serious concern that the abuse of ganja is on the rise in the State.

The situation is so alarming that the medicos who are supposed to educate others not to use drugs are getting addicted to them, Lokesh said and regretted that the ruling party leaders are not worried about the distressing situation in the State. Lokesh called upon the people to declare a war against drug abuse and promised that the TDP will solidly stand by them to prevent the youth from falling victim to the drugs.

Ultimately truth prevailed, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Monday said that ultimately truth prevailed, and the war has begun on untruth.

After the Andhra Pradesh High Court granted regular bail to former chief minister and TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP national general secretary said in a press note released here that “Our leader has a clean image and his integrity, individuality and ethics have all been upheld.”

Observing that Chandrababu’s statement that he will never commit any mistake nor will allow others to do so has finally come true, Lokesh said that the Crime Investigation Department (CID) which has arrested and sent him to jail in the Skill Development case could not provide even single evidence in the case.

Lokesh felt that conspiracies, deceptive politics and machinations all have crashed before the law. It is now clear that there are no shell companies as alleged, Lokesh said and observed that ultimately now it is proved that all this is only a conspiracy to sling mud at the political life of Chandrababu Naidu.

Lokesh demands immediate fee reimbursement for students

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Thursday demanded that the dues of the fee reimbursement for the students be cleared immediately.

Lokesh said that the future of the students is in the oblivion as their fees have not been paid yet though the academic year started several months ago. Since the pending dues of the fees for both degree and post-graduate students are a whopping Rs 1650 cr, the colleges managements are not allowing their students to appear for the examinations while those who have completed their studies the managements are not issuing the marks lists, he said

Those who want to pursue their higher studies, those who are in search of employment and those who are in the middle of their degree courses are facing untold hardships as their marks lists are still with the colleges, Lokesh said.

Keeping in view the future of lakhs of the students, the fee dues should be cleared by the State Government immediately, he stated.

“Your Government, which has already made it clear that the Rs 600 cr dues for the 2020-21 academic year will not be paid, has to clear the dues of Rs 600 cr as the fourth term fee for 2022-23 academic year. Also, another Rs 450 cr dues have been pending for the past four years,”Lokesh said.

During the TDP regime fees were reimbursed even for the post-graduate courses but after the YSRCP came to power this has been discontinued, he added.

The State Government which has been campaigning that the whole fees of all the students are being reimbursed through Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena schemes has not paid the fees in time to any educational institution, Lokesh pointed out.

The students and their parents are under heavy pressure as the colleges are forcing them to clear the dues of the fees, he said.

Lokesh made it clear in the press note that it is nothing but cheating the people by claiming that the State Government is paying the entire fees through Vidya Deevena scheme without showing in any account the Centre’s contribution of 60 per cent of the fees of the SC and ST students.

It is nothing but creating more trouble by stating that the Vidya Devena amount will be credited with the joint accounts of the students and their mothers, Lokesh observed.

Stop this kind of publicity and clear the fees dues immediately as the Vidya Devena and Vasathi Devena schemes are only useful for publicity but did not help in anyway to anyone, Lokesh remarked.

Uphold democratic values, Lokesh tells State Govt

0

TDP national general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Sunday regretted that the police force is acting as a private army of the State Government and resorting to suppress the leaders of the Opposition parties and activists.

Lokesh said that Minister, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, has been running a wild regime in Punganur. The Dalit leader of the TDP and secretary of State SC cell, Mullangi Venkata Ramana, against whom no cases are pending, has been illegally detained by the Kallur police inspector, Katti Srinivasulu, and he is subjected to various kinds of torture, Lokesh said. This reminds of Taliban rule prevailing in the State, he remarked in the press note.

Though Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has been claiming from the public platforms owning the SCs, STs, BCs and minorities saying my SCs, my STs and my BCs, the ground reality is totally different as they are facing untold hardships and atrocities, Lokesh said.

Demanding an immediate action against the Kallur police inspector who illegally detained the Dalit TDP leader, Lokesh said that a case under the provisions of the SC,ST Atrocities Act be booked against the police official. “I appeal to the State Government to check the state violence on Dalits and uphold the democratic values,” Lokesh said in the press note.

Jagan not mentally sound, says Lokesh seeks Guv intervention

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has totally lost his mental balance, which is really disturbing, and thus the Governor should interfere on his mental condition, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh said on Thursday and wanted the Governor to send a report to the Centre on Jagan’s mental condition.

Lokesh said that Jagan has totally forgotten the fact that the people have elected him as the Chief Minister to extend good governance to them and is acting like a person who is mentally ill. “Acting like an insane person, Jagan has been registering cases after cases against former chief minister and TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu,” he said.

Lokesh strongly feels that Jagan is no longer eligible to continue as the Chief Minister since his insanity has reached its peak. “I demand the Governor to intervene immediately and send a report to the Centre on Jagan’s mental health,” Lokesh remarked. The people of the State came to an understanding on the mental condition of Jagan as he has been filing case after case against Chandrababu on a regular basis, he said.

This is for the first time in the country that so many cases have been filed against the Leader of the Opposition, Lokesh said. Also, no where in the country this kind of harassment of the Opposition by managing the systems and by misusing the power, Lokesh felt.

In a sarcastic manner, Lokesh said that if the Governor does not interfere now the madness may reach to a further level and the decisions that follow may totally spoil the State’s future, murdering democracy in the State. Though not even a single rupee corruption has taken place in the Skill Development project, cases have been foisted while another case has been filed in the Inner Ring Road issue which has not taken shape at all, he felt.

“Now, the issue of sand has been brought onto the scene though sand was supplied free of cost and another case with regard to the most famous Fibernet project,” he observed. Stating that he really feels pity towards Jagan as he is filing cases on liquor issue too while selling the ‘J’ brand, he said.

The State which was known for development is now being driven towards total destruction with political vendetta and the Chief Minister is functioning as if filing false cases everyday against the Leader of Opposition is his sole aim, Lokesh said. Unable to explain to the public on what he has done to the State When the elections are fast approaching, Jagan is resorting such insane activities only to divert public attention, he added.

Jagan has created a history of sorts with his involvement in the highest number of cases and accumulating massive assets thus getting the brand of the most corrupt politician in the country, he remarked. It is really horrible that he is trying to sling this mud on Chandrababu too, Lokesh said and expressed confidence that not even a single case will stand before the judiciary.

Lokesh goes to Delhi to talk to advocates

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh went to the national capital to hold consultations with the senior advocates on Chandrababu Naidu’s cases. He is likely to meet senior advocates Harish Salve and Siddhartha Luthra besides others and talk to them on the further steps to be taken in the cases.

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is on bail on health grounds. The AP high court had granted him bail as he needs to undergo cataract surgery. The court directed Chandrababu Naidu to submit the medical reports to the Rajamahendravaram central jail superintendent and report back to the jail on or before November 28.

Chandrababu Naidu reached his Undavalli home on Tuesday night. It took 13 hours for him to reach home from Rajamahendravaram as the party leaders and the cadre stopped him at every village all along the route.

Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to visit Tirupati and worship Lord Venkateswara on Wednesday. He would then proceed to Hyderabad for the medical tests. He will be undergoing cataract surgery at the L V Prasad Eye Institute on one of these days.

Meanwhile, Lokesh wants the interim bail to be continued and is likely to have discussions with the senior advocates on the issue. There are two cases pending in the Supreme Court and listed for November 8 and 9. The cases are quash petition of the skill development case and bail petition.

The advocates representing Chandrababu Naidu have been arguing on Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act, wherein it was alleged that the police have not followed the provisions of informing the appointing authority – Governor in this case.

Lokesh is also likely to make the advocates talk to his father over phone from Delhi. Chandrababu Naidu will have direct interaction with the senior advocates on the bail and other cases.

Lokesh demands State Govt to come to rescue of farmers

0

“I really feel sad to know that farmers are setting their crops on fire, and it is really harrowing to know that paddy farmers are hanging themselves in their agricultural lands,” said TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Monday.

In an open letter to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, the TDP general secretary said that the whole State is now witnessing heart-rendering scenes of paddy cultivators falling at the feet of the officials to release water to save their standing crops. Farmers are coming onto the roads across the whole State, Lokesh said and expressed serious concern that if the State Government does not respond on a war-footing basis there is every danger that Andhra Pradesh will soon turn into a State without farming community.

The State has not witnessed this kind of drought situation in the past 100 years, Lokesh said in the open letter and pointed out that the lowest-ever rainfall is recorded for the first time in the YSRCP regime. Regretting that the State stood in the third position in farmers suicides in the country, Mr Lokesh felt that the Jagan Reddy Government has miserably failed in explaining to the Centre the ground situation prevailing in various mandals.

When the situation during the Kharif season is like this, one can easily understand the Rabi season, he stated. Pointing out that many reservoirs do not have sufficient water reserves while in others water is not being released despite having sufficient water reserves, Lokesh regretted that when former chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, went to explain in detail the situation to the people, he has been illegally arrested and sent to jail only to stifle his voice.

“People are really unfortunate that the State has a Chief Minister who has sufficient time to review the conspiracies to retain Chandrababu inside the jail by managing the systems but not on the prevailing drought condition in the State,” Lokesh observed in the open letter. Farmers in the Pennar, the Krishna and the Tungabhadra deltas are coming onto the roads demanding supply of water for irrigation as crops like paddy, cotton and groundnut got completely damaged, he felt.

Though the farmers are trying to save their crop by supplying water from the bore-wells, this is becoming impossible as there is no power supply, Lokesh said in the open letter to the Chief Minister and demanded the State Government to initiate urgent measures to come to the rescue of the farmers. He also wanted that the drought-hit mandals be identified immediately and send a report to the Centre.

Lokesh also wanted the waiver of farm loans and pay compensation to the farmers by assessing the crop damage on a war-footing basis.
