Lokesh says YCP mafia looting soil, gravel, sand resources

0

TDP general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh on Monday accused the ruling YSRCP elected representatives of looting soil, gravel, sand and all natural resources in the State.

Lokesh said the YSRCP soil and gravel mafia gangs were ruling the roost in Guntur district. They were getting all necessary help from the police and officials of the Government departments.

Lokesh condemned the latest arrest of TDP ex MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar for just protesting against the soil mafia. Narendra has just been agitating against the soil mafia that has wiped out the entire water body in Anumarlapudi village in Guntur district.

Lokesh asserted that the arrest of Narendra once again held mirror to the anarchic rule that was being perpetrated on the people. In the past, an attack was made on Narendra when he went to visit the illegal soil digging site in Anumarlapudi. Today, the TDP leader was arrested without any valid reason.

Lokesh said that the YSRCP soil mafia was behind Narendra’s arrest. The TDP would stand by the side of Narendra in his relentless fight against the ruling party mafia gangs. Instead of arresting the thieves of soil, the police were arresting the protesting TDP leaders.

Lokesh blames YCP for ‘Ayyanna house wall demolition’

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Sunday condemned the wall demolition by the municipal officials at the residence of TDP former Minister Ayyanna Patrudu in Narsipatnam.

Lokesh decried the Jagan Reddy Government’s revenge taking attitude against the opposition Telugu Desam Party leaders even after completing three years in power. ‘Pulivendula pilli’ (Jagan) seemed to be afraid of ‘Narsipatnam Puli’ (Ayyanna).

Lokesh said that the YCP rulers were resorting to intimidating attacks out of frustration over the latest massive success of Chandrababu Naidu’s public meetings in North Andhra. The Government was clearly terrified of the rising anti-establishment wave among all sections of the people.

Lokesh said he was feeling pity for Jagan Reddy for relying on ‘victimisation politics’ even after completing three years as the Chief Minister. Since the YCP Government had nothing to highlight before the public, they were perpetrating attacks and demolitions. These activities were highly condemnable in a civil society.

Lokesh condemned what he described as the high drama by the police in the name of giving notices to the Ayyanna family. Jagan Reddy seemed to have decided to depend on demolishing opposition leaders’ houses and arrests instead of correcting his mistakes.

Meanwhile, the TDP leaders accused the YSRCP regime of trying to suppress the voice of Ayyanna Patrudu by destroying his property. Was it a crime on the part of Ayyanna to speak on behalf of the people? Was it a crime to be born as BCs? They stopped the power supply and demolished the house in the early hours.

The TDP asked how the police could demolish the wall without giving notices. Would they come and demolish the wall in the name of serving notices? If the YCP leaders had any political scores, they should be settled in a straightforward manner. The vendetta politics have crushed all sections of people in the past three years.

The Telugu Desam leaders asserted that the Ayyanna family had constructed their houses after taking all permissions from the municipal and irrigation departments. There were proofs also. It was unfortunate that the police came inside the house of the former minister and created a ruckus.

The TDP condemned the attempts made by the police to arrest the ex-Minister’s son without a valid reason.

Lokesh alleges ‘job fraud’ by YCP MLC’s follower

1

TDP general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh on Saturday demanded a detailed probe into the cheating of tribal youths by YSRCP MLC Ananta Babu’s follower Victor Babu in agency area.

Lokesh said that Victor Babu has collected lakhs of rupees from the agency youths, offering to provide Government jobs to them. The employment fraud got finally exposed as the cheated candidates have now started protests against him.

Lokesh said that Dooda Victor Babu belonging to Chetlavada village in Maredumilli mandal in Alluri Sitaramaraju district has been a close follower of Anantha Babu. he has been fleecing the tribals by taking advantage his proximity to the YSRCP leaders.

Lokesh said that Victor Babu has promised to provide attender posts in high schools to seven tribals immediately after the YCP would come to power. He collected over Rs. 10 lakh from them. Finally, they were not given either jobs or their refunds.

Lokesh demanded that the officials concerned register a case against Victor Babu. He has collected Rs. 1.5 lakh each from Kaka Mahesh, Bogga Lakshman, Bogga Ravi, Puli Dharmaiah belonging to Bojjarayigudem village and Karaka Daraiah of Repaka, Sode Lakshmi hailing from Regulapadu and Panda Ashok belonging to Vegithota.

Lokesh said that Anantha Babu murdered his driver and door delivered the dead body but still he was getting respectable treatment from the police. Similarly, his follower Victor Babu cheated tribal youths but still enjoyed his clout despite protests from them.

Lokesh said that for the past two and half years, the agency youths have waited for the promised jobs. Victor Babu had not provided jobs and used all that money for his luxuries. He made the youths believe by saying that he could get jobs by using his influence with MLC Anantha Babu and YCP MLAs.

Lokesh termed it alarming that the cheated youths brought high interest loans to pay Victor Babu. They were saying that they were not able to repay the loans and the interest. They lived working as coolies but still took loans at Rs 5 interest, believing in the words of Victor Babu.

Lokesh demanded that Victor Babu be arrested as the tribal youths were saying that they had no choice but to commit suicide. The higher officials should respond and ensure recovery of their amounts along with interest.

Lokesh blames Govt over ‘aqua holiday’

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Thursday urged Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to take steps so as to prevent aqua farmers from declaring ‘aqua holiday’ this year.

In a letter to the Chief Minister here, Lokesh said one sector after another including aqua culture were getting stuck in crisis ever since the YSRCP came to power. The sand policy had crushed the construction sector and over 130 allied sectors related to it. Hundreds of construction workers eventually committed suicides.

Lokesh expressed concern over the thoughtless policies of the Government resulting in ‘current cuts’ and ‘power holiday’ that gave a strong blow to the industry. Due to lack of remunerative prices, the farmers were declaring ‘crop holidays’. Steep rise in rates of seed and fertilizer had raised costs of cultivation.

Lokesh termed it as alarming that Andhra Pradesh had come to stand in third place in the country in farmers’ suicides. Agriculture had totally collapsed. Though one sector after another was collapsing, the YSRCP Government was not taking any preventive steps.

Decrying the Government’s ‘indifference’, Lokesh said the aqua farmers had decided to observe ‘aqua holiday’ due to increasing losses. The increased current charges, higher rates of feed and decreased rates of prawn dealt a severe blow.

Lokesh strongly objected to the Jagan Government not responding to the aqua farmers’ decision to go on ‘aqua holiday’ even now. The rate of feed went up to Rs. 20 per kg while the prices of minerals and other products went up by 30 percent. But the Government had not taken any steps to provide relief.

Lokesh condemned that the Chief Minister promised a great deal to aqua farmers but after coming to power, he brought the feed-seed act that caused huge losses to the farmers. The Chandrababu regime took steps to bring double digit growth in the aqua sector. For this, current charges were reduced by Rs. 2.63 per unit.

The TDP MLC recalled how Jagan Reddy promised to reduce Rs. 2 per unit to Rs. 1.5 but did not fulfill it after winning the polls. Chandrababu gave subsidies and free transformers. The YCP rule cancelled all subsidies and became a cause for a deepening crisis in the aqua sector.

Lokesh said that in the past three years, not a single new ice plant, processing plant or cold storage has been constructed. No incentives were given for those willing to set them up. While the TDP rule collected Rs. 1.20 for 1,000 litres from aqua farmers, this was increased to Rs. 120 now for the same quantity.

Lokesh decries ‘palaabhishekam’ for accused MLC

1

TDP general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh on Tuesday criticised Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for the ‘palaabhishekam’ (milk purification) that was held for MLC Anantha Babu who was an accused in Dalit youth murder.

Lokesh said that all the required facilities were being provided to the accused MLA in jail while processions with flexes were being held in his honour outside. It was clear now that all the attacks on Dalits in the State so far were being carried out with the knowledge of Jagan Reddy only.

The TDP MLC said that the YSRCP MLC was accused of brutally killing Dalit youth Subrahmanyam at Indukuripeta in Devipatnam mandal. How would such a ‘killer MLC’ be portrayed and honoured like a hero?, Lokesh asked.

Lokesh deplored that once again, it was revealed that under this atrocious regime, there would be protection for miscreants and punishment for the victims. It was clear that there would be only promotions but no suspensions for the YCP leaders who would eliminate Dalits for simple reasons.

Lokesh said that Jagan Reddy was trying to dilute the free electricity programme for the farm sector by spreading false misinformation propaganda. The Chief Minister was bent on tightening the noose around farmers’ necks by fixing meters on agricultural motors.

Lokesh expressed concern that the Jagan regime has broken each and every promise given to the farmers, youth, women and job seekers prior to the elections. The TDP would intensify its agitation to expose each and every betrayal of Jagan Reddy in the coming days, the MLC asserted.

Lokesh blames YSR Congress for missing idols

1

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Monday accused the ruling YSRCP leaders of attacking and looting the Hindu temples in the State in the past three years. Lokesh said that while Jagan Mohan Reddy was plundering the public assets, his party men were looting towns and villages. They were not leaving even temples and idols.

The TDP MLC said that over Rs. 25 crore worth ‘Marakatha Vinayaka’ idol was seized from the house of YCP local leader Venkateswara Reddy belonging to Prakasam district. This costly idol was found to be one of those that were snatched away from the temples by robbers.

Lokesh asserted that it was the ruling YSRCP gangs that had perpetrated hundreds of attacks on the temples in the past. If a Rs. 25 Cr idol was found in a small leader’s house, the doubts were arising over the ancient idols that could have been snatched away by big leaders.

Lokesh said that the public talk was that the YSRCP leaders were taking away jewellery and idols from the small, big and medium temples all over the State. The devotees were expressing growing fears about lack of safety for the assets of the Hindu temples under the current regime.

Lokesh pointed out that the Government had not yet nabbed the offenders who burnt down the Antarvedi temple chariot. The silver lions of Durga Temple in Vijayawada went missing but the miscreants were not arrested. The police failed to nab the miscreants who hacked the head of Rama idol of Ramatheertham temple.

Lokesh deplored that under the rule of robbers, there was no safety for not just assets of temples but also for the idols of gods. Time has come for taking audit at all the temples in the State with protection from Central forces and legal teams. Otherwise, even the remaining jewellery at temples would eventually end up as adornments on the necks of YCP leaders’ children.

AP became Sampoorna Madyapaana Pradesh: Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary and former mister Nara Lokesh on Sunday slammed Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for turning AP into ‘Sampoorna Madyapaana Pradesh’ (complete liquor state).

Lokesh called it a matter of serious concern that CM Jagan has brought over Rs. 8,300 Cr new loans by mortgaging the liquor drinkers in the State.

The TDP MLC demanded the Chief Minister to explain what happened to his pre-election promise of phased prohibition. Jagan Reddy had made countless such false promises to his so-called ‘akka chellemmalu’ (elder and younger sisters).

Lokesh said the CM portrayed himself as ‘Jagananna’ for all but after coming to power, his J-brands started tearing apart the mangala sutras of all sections of women. The Chief Minister’s betrayal of liquor policy was enough to say how treacherous the YSRCP rule has been in the past three years.

Lokesh called Jagan a ‘Boom Boom Reddy’, saying that the CM’s misdeeds in the name of phased prohibition crossed all limits. In a total reversal of his own policy, Jagan Reddy has given it in writing to the loan giving firms that his Government would not implement the total prohibition policy.

Crack mysterious death of 3 suspects in Viveka murder – Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh demanded a CBI investigation into the suspicious death of Gangadhara Reddy, who was a suspect in the YS Vivek murder case. Lokesh said that one by one, the suspects in the Viveka murder were dying under mysterious circumstances just like in the Paritala Ravi murder case.

Lokesh stressed the need for cracking the mystery behind the death of over three suspects in the Viveka murder in the past three years. At least now, the CBI should provide protection to the remaining accused persons and also to the approvers in the sensational YS Viveka murder.

Lokesh said that a lot of planning had gone into the killing of Viveka. The perpetrators tried to portray the axe attack as a heart attack. While the main accused were still evading the law, the witnesses and those who gave stitches to the dead body were dead. There was a lot of mystery behind the suspicious deaths of suspects and witnesses.

Lokesh said that in the beginning, the perpetrators made allegations that Chandrababu Naidu was behind the Viveka murder. As the hand of relatives was confirmed later, they were eliminating the suspects and witnesses one by one. The suicide of Simhadripuram resident Katikareddy Srinjivasula Reddy was also a part of this elimination plan.

Lokesh said that Jagan Reddy’s father-in-law Gangi Reddy, who gave the bandage to the head of Viveka’s body, also passed away under suspicious circumstances. Another key suspect ‘Kuwait Gangadhara Reddy’ also passed away. The CBI should crack the mystery behind his death.

Lokesh recalled that Gangadhara Reddy gave an affidavit to the CBI under CrPC section 161 that Devireddy Shankar Reddy offered Rs. 10 Cr to him if he took blame for the Viveka murder. Once again, Gangadhara Reddy turned tables on the CBI and complained to the AP police against them.

Lokesh said that Jagan Reddy face allegations in the Paritala Ravi murder. In that case also, the accused persons died mysteriously. The mastermind behind the Paritala and the Viveka murders was one and the same. The reverse cases on the CBI and threats clearly indicated that a prominent person was behind the Viveka murder.

Kodali Nani, Vamsi intrude into Lokesh meet

0

Two of the ruling YSR Congress leaders have intruded into the virtual meeting of TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Thursday, giving a surprise to everyone. Shocked and annoyed, Lokesh hit the ruling party and the state government hard, blaming them for its failure to conduct the SSC examinations.

Lokesh also hit at the YSR Congress leaders for intruding into his meeting only to disturb the meeting. He dared them to answer his questions on the SSC examinations and the poor results where over 2000 students failed.

The two leaders who intruded into the Lokesh meeting are former minister Kodali Nani and Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan. Interestingly, these two leaders always target Lokesh and hurl abuses at him. It was these two leaders who called him Pappu and popularised it too.

When Lokesh was holding a virtual meeting with the Class X students, Vamsi joined the meeting from his account, while Kodali Nani joined the meeting using a fake account. Annoyed at this, Lokesh criticised the YSR Congress leaders for disturbing the meeting.

He alleged that the YSR Congress leaders were also intruding into the private lives of the people, besides indulging in several irregularities. He said that the government had failed on all fronts, taking the state backward.

As Lokesh was criticising the government and the ruling party, both Vamsi and Nani left the virtual meeting.

Lokesh vows to open Anna Canteen in Mangalagiri

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Thursday condemned the removal of ‘chalivendram’ (cooled water kiosk) by the municipal authorities at the NTR statue in Mangalagiri town.

Lokesh said that once again, the frustration of the ruling YSRCP MLA became evident in the manner in which the water kiosk set up by the TDP was removed along political considerations.

Lokesh, who is also the farmer minister, asked how the officials could take such a drastic step despite the fact that free drinking water and butter milk were being provided at the TDP ‘chalivendram’ there.

Lokesh further said that their party was proceeding to open an ‘Anna Canteen’ in the same spot tomorrow. But now, even the water kiosk was removed from there.

Lokesh said that the TDP’s intention was to quench the hunger of poor people by providing food at just Rs. 2 at the Anna Canteen. It was atrocious on the part of the Government to send officials to prevent the inauguration of Anna Canteen. Who gave the right to the YCP leaders to remove food from the mouths of the poor people?

Lokesh asserted that their party would open Anna Canteen in Mangalagiri by overcoming all hurdles created by the Government. The TDP would go ahead to provide food to poor people at a very low rate.

Lokesh decries lowest 10th result in two decades

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Monday expressed serious concern over the lowest 67.26 pass percentage in the past 20 years of 10th class examination results in Andhra Pradesh.

Nara Lokesh called it a ‘Government failure’ but not that of the students for the dismal performance in the most crucial exam in their lives. CM Jagan Reddy put his sole focus on using teachers at his liquor but not to ensure better teaching standards in Government schools.

Lokesh suspected a huge conspiracy in the large-scale failure of students in the results that were released after a delay for mysterious reasons. There was a deep-rooted conspiracy going on in the Government to reduce the number of beneficiaries under Amma Vodi and other welfare programmes.

Lokesh said that the Jagan Government has played dangerous games with the golden future of school children in the name of change in medium. The Chief Minister did not address the problem of shortage of teachers in schools. Not a single DSC was announced contrary to Jagan Reddy’s election promise to recruit teachers every year.

Lokesh demanded the Government to explain why there was zero pass result in over 71 schools. The teachers could not impart effective education to children as they were used more for the Nadu Nedu programme. Undue pressure was applied on them that eventually led to poor teaching and very poor results.

The TDP MLC recalled how the teachers were forced to supervise the works of Nadu Nedu that eventually turned into frauds. Jagan Reddy looted over Rs. 3,500 crore in these Nadu Nedu works. The TDP regime achieved 94.48 percent pass in 1918 10th result but the Jagan rule pushed it down to 67.26 percent this year.

Lokesh pointed out that in the very first 10th examination conducted by the Jagan Government, large-scale irregularities, malpractices, paper leak and mass copying took place. The manner of conducting exams drew ridicule from all sections. If Jagan Reddy worked hard to pass exams, he would have understood the importance of holding proper examinations.

Lokesh said Jagan Reddy was bent on reducing beneficiaries under Amma Vodi and fee reimbursement for inter-polytechnic students next year. They deliberately caused more students to fail so that the future burden of fee reimbursement would be reduced.

Lokesh pooh-poohs YCP govt on SSC results delay

1

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Saturday strongly objected to the Jagan Government postponing the results of 10th class apparently for political reasons.

Lokesh asked what wrong the innocent children had done when the officials did not give prior information on results to the Education Minister. Unbelievable incidents were taking place under the lawless rule of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Lokesh warned the Government not to play dangerous games with the future of students. What was the real reason for postponing results? Was it because the Minister was unhappy or for changing marks in Jagan-mark results.

Lokesh asked how Jagan Reddy could postpone results of students just like protracted and non-stop adjournments in his court cases. Minister Botsa Satyanarayana seemed to know only the number of his own wine shops in the State but not the number of Government schools.

The TDP MLC demanded an explanation from the Government to the children on the abrupt postponement of 10th class results. Over six lakh students were eagerly waiting for today’s results. How could these results be postponed at the last minute? The inefficiency of Jagan Reddy’s rule got exposed one more time.

Meanwhile, Lokesh consoled wife, mother and family members of slain TDP activist Kancherla Jallaiah over telephone. He accused Jagan Reddy of perpetrating ‘social injustice’ under the cover of ‘Samajika Nyaya Bheri’ bus yatra.

Lokesh warned that the YCP leaders would be wrong if they believed that they could commit any crime and escape from punishment taking advantage of the Raja Reddy constitution. The TDP would come to power in the next elections and it would ensure deterrent punishment.

Lokesh decries tying up women with ‘chunnis’

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Friday condemned the latest atrocious behaviour of the revenue officials towards a mother and her daughter at Gudipadu village in Gudur mandal of Kurnool district.

Nara Lokesh called it inhuman on the part of the Jagan Government to misuse women police to suppress the rights of women in the State.

The TDP MLC said Meenakshamma and her daughter put up a stiff resistance when the officials came to take over the site in front of their house. In a very alarming manner, the women police used their ‘chunnis’ (dupattas) to tie up and immobilise the protesting mother and daughter.

Lokesh deplored that the common public were suffering untold misery because of the non-stop atrocities being committed by the Chief Minister and his party leaders, police and volunteers. It was high time Jagan Reddy should begin one more exclusive app to protect the public from his own party YSRCP goondas.

Lokesh said the victims of lawlessness were terrorised and prevented from raising their voices against the Government’s excesses. The time would come when all sections of men and women would come together to fight against the chaotic regime of Jagan.

The TDP MLC said that the civil society hanged its head in shame as the officials humiliated the mother and daughter at Gudipadu. Instead of feeling ashamed of such incidents, the YSRCP and its Government were only committing more such offences with no concern for the people’s rights.

Lokesh demands arrest of YSRCP MLA Jakkampudi Raja

0

TDP general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh on Thursday demanded immediate arrest of YSRCP Rajanagaram MLA Jakkampudi Raja for ‘slapping’ an assistant executive engineer (AE) in Polavaram project in East Godavari district.

Nara Lokesh termed as ‘atrocious’ the YCP MLA’s unprovoked attack on Polavaram AE, T Surya Kiran at the R&B guest house in Rajahmundry in the presence of senior officials.

The TDP MLC said the frustration and maniacal outbursts of the ruling party MLAs were crossing all limits. When Jakkampudi Raja slapped the AE, the senior officials did not try to stop him. But later, the same bosses brought pressure on Surya Kiran not to file the police case against the MLA.

Lokesh said T Surya Kiran has been working as the AE in Polavaram Irrigation Project Left Main Canal (PIPLMC) division-2 in Dowleswaram. The YCP ‘rowdy MLA’ slapped the AE right in the presence of PIPLMC Circle superintendent engineer B.S.S. Yadav, irrigation SE D. Rambabu and PIPLMC sub division-1 SE M. Srinivasa Rao.

Lokesh condemned the manner in which the Government employees’ associations did not respond despite such a humiliating attack on a colleague. Moreover, the YCP MLA resorted to the attack in an official meeting in the presence of senior officials. Jakkampudi Raja targeted the AE over non-payment of bills to his followers.

Lokesh released videos that showed the AE narrating how the YCP MLA slapped him thrice in the face. The MLA did not even give time for him to explain his limitations and his inability to pay the bills. The AE gave a written complaint to the Rajahmundry 3-Town police, saying that the YCP MLA attacked him over the Rangampeta pushkar works.

The TDP MLC said that the YCP goondas have now targeted the Government employees after victimising the opposition TDP and the general public. If the employees’ associations raised their voice when Dr. Sudhakar was persecuted, the ruling party leaders would not have repeated such attacks.

Lokesh pointed out how Dalit doctor Dr Sudhakar was beaten, paraded half naked, branded as insane and then driven to death. Senior IPS and IAS officers were ill-treated. The TDP would not keep silent on this and it would intensify its fight against the barbaric rulers.

Lokesh accuses YCP leaders of building wall to block a street

1

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Wednesday accused the ruling YSRCP leaders of competing with their CM Jagan Reddy to harass the people with their lawless activities.

Lokesh said YCP leader Sameer Reddy went to the extent of constructing a wall to shut down Anakalaveedhi street in Veldurthi in Kurnool district.

The TDP MLC expressed shock that the YCP leader and his followers unleashed a vicious attack on the local residents when they opposed the wall. The lawless YCP mob pelted stones and glass bottles, causing injuries to the remaining residents in the street.

Lokesh said even women and children were attacked by the ruling party goons. Not a single top leader of YSRCP tried to prevent Sameer Reddy from constructing the wall right across the street. The Veldurthi incident marked the peak levels to which the ruling party leaders’ sadistic attacks could reach.

Lokesh deplored that the common public were greatly suffering as the YSRCP leaders were showing their ugly sadism like villains in movies. As usual, the police officials were excellently performing their role as silent spectators to the ruling party’s villainism.

The former minister pointed out that the ruling party leaders were trying to suppress all voices with their brute power. While the YCP leaders were unleashing their brutal attacks, the general public were revolting against them with greater force. Jagan Reddy and his party should at least realise it would not be possible to stifle the voices of the public.

Is Lokesh planning for padayatra?

0

The success of Mahanadu at Ongole this time had raised the confidence levels of the TDP leaders in the state. The leaders are now in an elated mood and believe that the party would return to power in the 2024 elections if they work a little harder.

The TDP leaders across the state have held press conferences where they displayed the increased confidence levels after the Mahanadu. The leaders asserted that the TDP would return to power in the state with just a little push by the top leadership.

Even the activists are in elated mood with the success of the Mahanadu. The ranks who are down morally with the party’s humiliating defeat in the 2019 elections and the subsequent defeat in the local body elections are now fully recharged.

As the mood of the activists is up, the leadership is planning to sustain the increased confidence levels among the activists. The top leadership is now busy evolving strategy to sustain the upbeat mood among the workers.

One such plan is to make TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh to launch padayatra. Lokesh wants to be in the midst of the people for the next two years. Interestingly, Lokesh too had agreed to undertake the padayatra to be with the people, particularly the party workers.

The party leadership is now working on the schedule and the strategy to be followed for the padayatra. While some of the leaders are of the opinion that Lokesh should tour all the 175 Assembly constituencies in the next two years, some leaders favour a route covering majority Assembly constituencies.

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is also planning for a bus yatra as his son Lokesh takes up padayatra. Naidu wants to engage both the media and the people through these two different programmes for the next two years and win the 2024 elections.

It is to be seen when the TDP would announce the programme and the schedule.

Lokesh demands arrest of YSRCP MLC

1

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Friday demanded immediate arrest of YSRCP MLC Ananta Udaya Bhasker alias Ananta Babu for ‘murdering’ his former car driver in Kakinada district in Andhra Pradesh.

Lokesh said the YCP MLC arrived in his car, kidnapped Subrahmanyam and returned only to hand over the dead body around midnight. When family members alerted neighbours, the MLC left his car and the dead body there and vanished from the scene.

Lokesh also demanded a CBI investigation into the murder of Subrahmanyam, who worked as car driver for the YCP MLC till four months ago.

Lokesh strongly condemned the manner in which the police did not even respond when the victim’s parents complained about the ghastly crime. After eliminating the car driver, MLC Ananta Babu and his followers tried to turn the murder into an accident death.

Lokesh deplored that the ruling YCP mafia had turned AP into a State that was more dangerous than Bihar. The parents of ‘slain car driver’ were directly accusing Kakinada YCP MLC of killing their son. They said the YCP MLC himself came to their house, kidnapped their son around 8.30 p.m. and then brought back the dead body around midnight.

Lokesh released videos that showed Subrahmanyam’s friends and relatives blaming Ananta Babu for the murder. The parents strongly objected to the MLC bringing their son’s dead body to their house instead of reporting the matter to the police. It was a crime on the part of the ruling party MLC to shift the dead body from the accident spot if it really occurred.

Lokesh said that the common public were terrified at the non-stop criminal offences of the YSRCP leaders from top to bottom. The car driver’s friends deplored that the police did not respond to their complaints, he said. The staff at the Sarpavaram police station said the death occurred under the Kakinada Two Town police station limits and vice versa. This was totally unacceptable.

Lokesh condemned that the ruling YSRCP leaders were behaving as if they were licensed to kill. The law and order had totally deteriorated, he said and added that MLC Ananta Babu told the parents that the car driver died in an accident. The MLC brought the body in his car and tried to convince the parents. When the parents raised an alarm, the MLC left the body and his car there and escaped from the scene.

The victim’s relatives said the YCP MLC bore a grudge against Subrahmanyam over a woman. Jealousy would have been the reason behind the ‘ghastly murder’. It had become a ritual for the YCP goondas to kill and then turn those murders into suicides, heart attacks and accident deaths.

The parents asked why the police did not take action when there was his car, video and other evidence available to accuse the YCP MLC of murder.

Lokesh says Jagan lost trust of poor people

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh accused the ruling YSRCP of using hired goons and criminals to suppress the rising voices of the people against the Jagan Reddy misrule.

Lokesh condemned the latest attack by the YCP miscreants on Dalit woman Karlapudi Venkayamma just for voicing her strong feelings against the Government’s policies. They attacked her house at Kantheru in Guntur district.

Lokesh asserted that all sections of people in the State were expressing the same opinions as those of Venkayamma. Would Jagan Mohan Reddy target all the 5 crore people of Andhra Pradesh? There would be serious repercussions if any harm would be done to the illiterate and poor SC woman.

Lokesh said that Venkayamma had genuinely expressed her concern that the poor people were leading miserable lives under the Jagan rule. Instead of realising their mistake, the ruling party leaders were threatening the Dalit woman and her family members and relatives. Every citizen of the State was vexed with the manner in which the YSRCP was targeting critics and rivals.

Lokesh further criticised CM Jagan Reddy for unleashing more heinous attacks on the political rivals. It was apparent that the faction mindset of Jagan Reddy was reaching new lows after the people were running away from his public meetings.

Lokesh decried the attack by the YSRCP miscreants in which the car of TDP state secretary Sainatha Sarma was damaged and vandalised in Kadapa district. The TDP leader was targeted just because he was exposing the massive corruption of Jagan Reddy’s maternal uncle and MLA Ravindranath Reddy.

The TDP MLC asserted that the CM and his party MLAs were suffering from the phobia of defeat in the next elections. Because of this, they were trying to use threats and intimidation. The people had realized that the Chief Minister’s promises were all lies and betrayals.

Lokesh said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had lost the trust of the people a long time ago. The people would not be afraid of the ruling party’s attacks and victimisation.

Gadapa Gadapaku turned into ‘Dabidi Dibide’, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Monday lauded the people for boldly raising their voices against the ruling YSRCP MLAs and Ministers in the ongoing ‘Gadapa Gadapaku Government’ programme.

Lokesh said the Government had to hold the mass contact programme ‘behind the purdahs and curtain nets’ because of rising protests from all sections. The huge public backlash had further exposed the massive anti-Government wave in the State.

Lokesh sarcastically thanked Chief Minister Jagan Reddy for exposing his own regime’s unpopularity by holding Gadapa Gadapaku. The whole State had come to know the high range to which the anti-Government feelings among the people had reached in just three years.

Lokesh said the common public had turned the Government’s Gadapa Gadapaku into their own ‘Dabidi Dibide’ programme. They were openly questioning and criticising the YCP MLAs for not solving their problems at all. They demanded explanations from the Ministers on the ‘Badude Badudu’ taxes and charges that made their lives miserable.

The TDP MLC termed it as a pity that the ruling YSRCP MLAs and Ministers had to go to the people with massive security by the police. The intelligence wing had cautioned the Chief Minister about the huge public outcry that would come during the Gadapa Gadapaku visits.

Lokesh said that due to lack of an alternative, the ruling party leaders were carrying out Gadapa Gaddapaku programmes amid unprecedented bandobast. Drapes, curtains and nets were being used to prevent the public from freely interacting with the YCP leaders. Moreover, shops were being closed and preventive arrests were being made ahead of the Gadapa Gadapaku visits.

Lokesh called it ironic that the Chief Minister, who claimed credit for massive welfare programmes, had to take the help of the police even to face the public. Jagan Reddy held padayatra all over the State before the 2019 elections but in just three years, he was not able to freely go to the people’s doorsteps.

The TDP MLC said that the YSRCP regime used the police to suppress the voices of the opposition, social media activists and civil society in the past. Now, it was using the police force to silence the voices of the poorer sections who were just pouring out their unresolved problems to the YCP MLAs.

YSR threatened to break Jagan legs, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Friday asserted that it was Jagan Mohan Reddy who was well known for spreading lies and betrayals but not Chandrababu Naidu.

Lokesh said that late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had himself threatened to break the legs of his son Jagan Reddy if the latter set his foot again on the AP soil.

Lokesh pointed out that former CM late Konijeti Rosaiah had revealed this about YSR’s warning to his son. It was apparent that Rajasekhara Reddy could not tolerate the lawlessness, intimidation, cheating and betrayals of Jagan Reddy in those days itself.

The TDP MLC released a video showing how Rosaiah explained about the frustration of YSR over Jagan Reddy’s illegal activities at that time. Because of this only, Jagan Mohan Reddy had targeted and subjected Rosaiah also to political victimisation. Jagan Reddy’s misdeeds and excesses had started even during his father YSR’s regime itself.

Lokesh called it a misfortune that Jagan Reddy, whom YSR had asked not to set foot on AP soil, had eventually become the ruler of the State. The moment he became the CM, he started perpetrating a regime of frauds, illegalities and betrayals on the people.

Lokesh condemned the circumstances in which Sarpavaram SI Gopala Krishna died in Kakinada district. There were suspicions that the ruling YSRCP leaders had victimised and harassed him, eventually leading to his death. The Jagan Government caused the untimely death of an honest police officer.

Lokesh said that it was now the turn of the police after the opposition and people to face the onslaught of Jagan Reddy’s arrogant vendetta. As usual, the fellow police officials were spinning unbelievable stories on the SI’s death. A judicial enquiry should be launched into the suspicious death of Gopala Krishna.

Lokesh demanded stringent punishment to the culprits however highly placed they may be. The Government should come to the rescue of the family of the deceased police officer. If the remaining police officials would not do justice to Gopala Krishna, nobody would come to their rescue if they would be targeted in future.

The TDP MLC asked how the police could ensure safety and security to the people when their lives were not secure. The YCP rulers have victimised all sections from political rivals to Government employees to social media activists and construction workers. The police officials were no exception.
