SS Rajamouli puzzled about RRR Female lead

0

When things are going absolutely smooth for RRR, Ram Charan met with an ankle injury and one of the heroines, Daisy Edgar Jones walked out of the project citing personal reasons. The shoot is kept on hold and Rajamouli is busy finalizing the female lead. It is quite tough to find a foreign actress in a limited time. His close aides and well-wishers suggested Rajamouli to go ahead with a Bollywood beauty and names like Shraddha Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra are considered.

There are talks that SS Rajamouli is now left puzzled about the heroine. As per the penned role, the movie needs a British beauty. Going with the happenings, Rajamouli may have to change the character of the actress if he locks an Indian beauty. Things will be finalized soon and an official announcement about this is awaited. The next schedule of RRR will start next week. Alia Bhatt is the other heroine and Ajay Devgn has a crucial role assigned in RRR.

Daisy Edgar Jones has cited family circumstances as the reason for opting out of the project. She took to her Instagram page and posted the shocking news. NTR votes for SS Rajamouli

0

Young Tiger NTR is occupied with the shoot of RRR which is directed by SS Rajamouli. This multi-starrer also features Ram Charan in the other lead role and Tarak is essaying the role of Komaram Bheem in the film. The actor was the first consideration to host Bigg Boss 3 and Star MAA has been waiting for NTR’s call. They tried hard to convince the top actor but he decided to stay away from Bigg Boss 3.

With a lot of challenging work to be done for RRR, NTR decided to focus completely on the project instead of taking up Bigg Boss 3. The makers of the reality show even offered a whopping remuneration but Tarak voted for Rajamouli and wished to focus only on RRR. The film is gearing up for a long North Indian schedule and RRR will be shot across Ahmedabad and Pune soon.

Star MAA is now in plans to find the perfect host for the third season that starts from July this year.

Subhash K Jha : NTR Mahanayakudu proves Krish to be a master storyteller

0

Without a shadow of a doubt, NTR Mahanayakudu is a worthy weighty sequel to NTR Kathanayakudu which came a few months ago.

The story of N T Rama Rao’s rise as the political voice of Andhra Pradesh could not have obtained such a deep voice and lasting resonance was it not for the director Krish’s absolute control over the narrative. We have seen Krish handle period films with panache in the past. His last outing in the genre Manikarnika was marred by some ugly interference.

Here in the NTR bio-pics, he is given a free hand to explore the dynamics of Andhra politics as seen through the eyes of a politician who rewrote the rules of democratic governship even as he struggled to retain his self-worth as it was assaulted from disgruntled political forces.

In one sequence of this tightly-edited handsomely packaged paean to an idealist-politician, two women from his rival’s camp virtually attack him physically in parliamentary and loudly wish him dead as NTR sits stoically under the glare of the worst possible humiliation. But Balakrishna’s NTR never melts down.

When asked why didn’t speak up NTR warns, “Do not mistake my silence for weakness.”

It is indeed a masterstroke to get NT Rama Rao’s son to play the multi-layered actor-politician who was many things to his family, fans and followers. The script subsumes all of the roles with smartly written lines and pithy plot movements. The film takes an objective view of the subject, treating NTR as a man who was almost anointed a god by his fans.

In furiously spectral mob sequences we see NTR bonding with his disciples, lecturing to them, holding their hands in smiling conversation. Playing the man who would be God, Balakrishna brings empathetic energy to the part. Gentle and ferocious in turns and sometimes together, the actor is able to bring forward the myriad shades of the passionate politician and the dedicated householder.

NTR’s growing bonding with his political rival turned most trusted lieutenant Chandrababu Naidu is beautifully etched into the film’s pulsating political framework. Rana Daggubatti gives the best performance of his career so far as Chandrababu. Almost unrecognizable in that reedy makeup he brings a harnessed fire and fierce sincerity to his role.

I wish there was more of Vidya Balan as NTR’s wife. There was more of her in the first part of the biopic. For most of this film, whenever she is there, she throws adoring glances at her husband. Her death, however, will leave you teary-eyed.

Fiercely dedicated to making NTR’s real-life image come alive on celluloid, director Krish shows us who is the boss of the epic drama. If you have seen the first part of the director’s Krish bio-pic then you can’t afford to miss the second part. If you haven’t seen the first part you will undoubtedly want to go back to it after seeing this stormy engaging saga of a man who refused to be slotted as a singer and wannabe politician. He had to be the best. This film has no quibbles with NTR’s lunge towards excellence.

NTR Mahanayakudu Grand Premiers Today

0

The wait is over. After witnessing the first part of the biopic on the legendary Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao in January, Kathanaykudu, the audience will finally get to witness the finale of the film in the form of Mahanayakudu when it has its grand release worldwide on February 22nd with Premier on Feb 21st.

After getting a glimpse of NTR’s journey up the ladder in the film industry where he progressed from strength to strength, becoming a legend who’d be talked about for decades to come, the second film will show us the next part of his life where he became a political icon in the country after he decided to setup his own political party and eventually became the Chief Minister of the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh.

Director Krish Jagarlamudi has taken extra care to ensure that the story which took off on a positive note in the first part will receive a befitting end with the new release.

Actor Balakrishna too, has left people surprised by how he transformed with extreme ease into the shoes of his father NTR who he portrays on screen.

While the first film gives us just a glimpse of Rana Daggubati’s act as Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Mahanayakudu will see him full-fledgedly.

Narrating the story of how the Nandamuri legend took the pride of Telugu people as a cause to champion and drove his point across the country, marking a new era in Indian politics, this film will bring to life an important chapter of Indian political history.

And for the audiences in the US, the leading distributor of Telugu cinema overseas, US Telugu has planned grand premieres across USA a day ahead of release on February 21.

We request you all to come join us to see the second important phase of the legend NTR’s life on the big screens closest to you!

Rivals use NTR life stories to suit their needs: 2019 poll

0

The name NTR stills holds magic among Andhra voters. This is evident from how rival parties and their sympathisers are coming out biographies and biopics to attract popular attention. In the process, they are interpreting incidents in NTR’s life to suit their advantages ahead of coming Lok Sabha and Assembly election in AP. The ruling and opposition parties are in the forefront of this aspect. Controversial phase is what happened after Lakshmi Parvathi’s entry into NTR’s life.
A 662-page booked titled ‘NTR a biography’ written by K. Chandrahas and K. Laxminarayana threw new light on this. The book got good reviews for a balanced and logical presentation of life incidents. Its interpretation suggested that had Lakshmi Parvathi confined herself to household after marrying NTR, all those conflicts within the TDP would have been avoided. Then it would have been a different story altogether.

Going contrary to this line of approach, Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ film is certainly giving a political twist. It is trying to present NTR as the victim of a political conspiracy by his own family members. The entire story is seen from only the viewpoint of Lakshmi Parvathi. As on today, it is well known she is a sympathiser of Jaganmohan Reddy and obviously every attempt is made to present CM Chandrababu Naidu’s character as the anti-hero.

Yatra: A Lesson for Team NTR

Nandamuri Balakrishna several times revealed that he would produce the prestigious biopic of his father NTR. The process of making NTR took several turns and Balakrishna along with his team ended up making it a business deal. The film is made in two installments and the first part itself was sold for over Rs 70 crores. Balakrishna who is struggling to touch Rs 50 crores mark sold the film for exorbitant amounts all over and the result is known for the world. The second installment NTR – Mahanayakudu has been struggling to get buzz now.

YSR’s biopic Yatra that released recently too carried decent buzz. But the makers released the film on their own through Dil Raju and UV Creations despite of getting some lucrative deals. YSRCP owned the film and the party supporters along with YSR fans carried the film on their shoulders. The makers of Yatra made decent money but they did not sell the project for huge prices.

On the whole, Yatra is a lesson for NTR who made the prestigious biopic a business deal.

Why is Bharata Ratna not given for NTR yet?

0

For over two decades, there is the demand for conferring Bharat Ratna highest civilian award on NTR for his outstanding contribution to mythological films and Indian cinema. The demand was not fulfilled even when the TDP founded by NTR played a key role in the Vajpayee and Modi Cabinets at the Centre in the past. Film director Tammareddy Bharadwaj came out with his own suspicious and reasons on why that honour was not given to NTR yet.

If the award is announced for NTR, his surviving wife Lakshmi Parvathi would have to go to Delhi and accept the honour under the glare of whole country’s attention. Along with her, NTR’s sons and daughters and their families would have also to go there to witness the function. This is what has prevented the TDP leadership from putting any serious effort to get the award for their founder.

But another question came up why PM Modi did not consider this award issue when he was chanting the NTR name so much to corner AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. Then there is NTR’s daughter Daggubatu Purandeswari playing an active role in BJP now and she may also be keen to avoid any embarrassment on who has to accept the award.

Modi talks in parliament about Congress snubbing NTR

0

Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned late NTR’s political career in parliament. While countering the allegations of Congress that , Modi is snubbing regional political parties, Narendra Modi commented that it is the culture of Congress party to snub the regional political parties and asked Congress party to recall what they have done to NTR and MGR.

It is known news that current CM Chandrababu Naidu took over the TDP party from NTR couple of decades back. The incident is always referred as “backstabbing” by the political parties. But, it seems, Modi was referring to another such backstabbing to NTR by Nadendla bhaskara Rao. Nadendla bhaskara Rao took over the party and it’s MLAs on to his side in 1983 and became chief minister. He survived in that post for a month. There were rumours that it was the Congress party that gave Nadendla Bhaskar Rao all the backend support during that time. Modi indirectly mentioned this event as he said he knows what Congress has done to NTR and MGR.

Much before this event of Nadendla Bhaskar Rao taking over the power from NTR, Congress Party led by Indira Gandhi did something similar to MGR. In fact Indira Gandhi and MGR were allies earlier. After Indira Gandhi’s emergency period, Congress party lost miserably through out country and Janata Party came into power with thumping majority. Almost all the parties that allied with Indira Gandhi and Congress in that elections also bit the dust at ballot box. However, in Tamilnadu , the situation was different and MGR led ADMK party got good number of seats despite allying with Congress, thanks to the immense popularity of the matinee Idol. But , as Congress lost the power at the centre, MGR also dumped Congress during the next state elections and that angered Indira Gandhi. So, when she came back to power after the collapse of Janata Party, she fully remembered what MGR did to her and ,as revenge, she suspended the Tamil Nadu state government by imposing president rule there.

So, Modi was referring in the parliament, these two incidents to counter the allegations of Congress Party on him about snubbing the regional parties. To be frank, when Congress was at its peak, it was very aggressive in snubbing the regional parties, especially during Indira Gandhi tenure. However, it is also true that, after Indira Gandhi, it is only Modi, who can be compared at that level in demonstrating such dictatorial style of working.

Balakrishna’s crucial meeting with NTR Buyers

0
Nandamuri Balakrishna after the debacle of NTR – Kathanayakudu is left puzzled about the release of the second installment. Director Krish managed to wrap up the shoot recently and there are wide speculations going on about the film’s release date. Balakrishna asked Krish and Sai Korrapati to arrange a special meeting with the buyers to finalize the release date of NTR – Mahanayakudu.
Going with the trend, the makers decided to offer the theatrical rights of NTR – Mahanayakudu for free as the buyers lost huge amounts betting on NTR – Kathanayakudu. Balakrishna will propose couple of release dates and he will take the final call as per the response from the buyers. The meeting will take place this week and an official announcement is expected soon.

NTR Biopic spells doom for Yatra

0

The first installment of NTR’s biopic titled NTR – Kathanayakudu released during Sankranthi and received positive word of mouth, but the collections have been quite disappointing. The cinematic charishma and huge fan base of NTR across all the sections of audience could not help the film get decent revenues. Now YSR’s biopic Yatra is all set to hit the screens next month.

Yatra seems to be a documentary and focuses completely on the foot march of YSR from 2004. The film is expected to be plain without any emotional drama and is struggling hard to gain buzz. After NTR – Kathanayakudu ended up as a dud, Yatra will sure face tough time and challenges at the box-office. Some of the local buyers and exhibitors who showed interest on Yatra initially backed out of the project this week after NTR – Kathanayakudu ended up as a disaster. We have to wait to see how the film fares at the February box-office.

The audio of NTR has been released through the hands of Tarak. He is a Superstar now and we are not in a mood to bring him into the film through a role that doesn’t justify his stardom. Babai wanted to respect Tarak through the audio release event and there are no differences between them as speculated. If he gets a small role, Nandamuri fans will sure be disappointed and hence we decided not to experiment with Tarak and leave our fans in disappointment” said Kalyanram.
