Pushpa has taken an excellent opening worldwide as the film has collected a distributor share of 83.50 Cr. The film has created all-time record in Nizam area for all days over the weekend. Andhra Pradesh shares are affected by the ticket cap and the film needs long run to breakeven here. The film is a Hit in other languages like Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. This is a huge achievement as the film ran in these areas only at the face value of the hero. The film had a good weekend overseas but the drop on Saturday in the USA is a concern for the buyer.

This is the second highest distributor share for any film in the Telugu States as it is only behind baahubali the conclusion which had collected 14.90 Cr share. 2 days total of the film is close to 38 cr and it is set to cross the 50 cr mark today.

Pushpa makers about special plans for the Sequel

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa released on Friday and the film reported huge numbers despite negative word of mouth. The film is expected to have a packed weekend all over. Mythri Movie Makers, the producers of Pushpa thanked everyone for making the film a grand success. Naveen Yerneni, one of the producers told that the second part of the film will be made with utmost planning. “We will not make the second part in a hurry. We will spend two months on the post-production and will come up with a proper release. The date would be locked in advance and the shoot will start in Feburary or March 2022” told Naveen.

The makers revealed that the film’s content could not reach some of the territories because of the last-minute delays and hurried post-production work. Speaking about this, Sukumar told that the second part of the film would be much bigger and will be made on a lavish scale. Pushpa is made on a huge budget and the film should perform exceptionally well to recover the investments.

The film has taken all-time record opening in Nizam and the situation would be top2 opening in AP if not for the ticket cap. The ticket cap will be a huge problem for the buyers in AP. Though theatres in the West Godavari are running with hiked rates today, the film has lost a lot of it on opening day. The film is doing good business today.

With ‘Pushpa’ opening to terrific box-office collections, the reports claim otherwise. Marked as a good entertainer with a few loopholes, ‘Pushpa’ has caught up with mixed reviews.

Along with Allu Arjun’s splendid performance, actress Samantha is being lauded for her bold, blingy special number in the movie ‘Pushpa’.

Visuals from theatres show the masses boogie for Samantha’s fizzy item song in ‘Pushpa’. Samantha and Allu Arjun dance to the beats, while the viewers are spotted throwing confetti and hurling papers at the screen.

As the song is sequenced in towards the end of the first half of ‘Pushpa’, the audience is seen going gaga over the item song.

The ostentatious set and the whole setup give much appeal to the mass song, for which the music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, and the dance is composed by Ganesh Acharya.

Being it Samantha’s first special song, the song ‘Oo Antava Maava Ooo Antava Maava’ has been hyped so much.

Samantha’s unlimited following remains one of the factors for such hype around the song, despite it sounding like any other common item song.

Samantha is unquestionably in her sexiest avatar to date due to the fact that she has exposed her mass side without any inhibitions.

Samantha, on the other hand, is to appear in two multilingual movies, apart from ‘Shaakunthalam’, which is wrapped up already.

Rajamouli urged us to release ‘Pushpa’ across India: Sukumar

Helmed by Sukumar, Telugu’s most awaited movie ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ hits the screens on Friday.

As the team has promoted the movie enough, the absence of the director during the promotions caused a little loss to the team. As Sukumar finally joined the promotions on Thursday, he had spoken about the movie and his experience working for ‘Pushpa’.

Speaking about the pan-India release of ‘Pushpa’, the director said that S.S. Rajamouli was the one who was persistent to take this movie across the country.

“Rajamouli called me up and urged me to take this movie across India. He urged me to release ‘Pushpa’ pan-India, which we were reluctant until that time. His push made me feel confident and hence we decided to release it across India in multiple languages”, Sukumar said.

On being quizzed about Allu Arjun’s signature gesture ‘Thaggede Le’, Sukumar said that they had experimented with many other things and finally fixated on one gesture, which is now a super hit one.

Sukumar said: “We were trying on many gestures, but we accidentally came across this gesture. As Bunny (Allu Arjun) was on the sets working during a fight scene, I observed him do something closer to the ‘thaggede le’ gesture. So, we worked on this and it has become a big hit now”, the director explained.

‘Pushpa’ hits the screens with good early reviews. Rashmika Mandanna, Sunil, Ajay Gosh, Fahadh Fassil, Anasuya, and others appear in the main roles.

Allu Arjun to watch ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ with fans at Hyderabad theatre

Tollywood’s most awaited movie ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is out in theatres and according to initial reports, the Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer helmed by Sukumar has had a good initial response at the box-office.

It is reported that Allu Arjun, also known as the ‘Icon Star’, has decided to watch ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ along with his fans at a special screening in Hyderabad’s famous theatre, Sandhya 70MM.

Allu Arjun will be joined by his co-star Rashmika Mandanna and director Sukumar. Initial responses to the performances in ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ have been positive, though the slow pace of the second half of the movie has not gone down well with critics.

The narrative of the movie, which is being released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi, centres around red sandalwood smuggling.

Malayalam star Fahadh Fassil, Sunil, Ajay Gosh and Anasuya Bharadwaj are the other principal actors in the film. Multi-award-winner songwriter-composer Devi Sri Prasad has scored the music.

Director Sukumar’s absence at ‘Pushpa’ promotions irks fans

‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is slated for a grand release on Friday but the absence of director Sukumar at the pre-release event has not gone down well with fans.

Team ‘Pushpa’ has left no stone unturned on the promotions, from releasing every single song in all the languages to interacting with the media, the team has been working around the clock for promotions.

Being Sukumar’s directorial, it was expected that the filmmaker would appear in the promotional events as well. But, Sukumar is engrossed in finishing the film’s post-production work and so he skipped the promotions, which has upset the fans.

Analysts believe that the director’s word about the movie plays an important role during the promotions, which did not happen for ‘Pushpa’.

One of the online fans of Sukumar wrote, “If a star director like Sukumar has to stay away from the promotions to bring better output, the industry should think about the time being given to them to prepare the film’s final output. Is this fair?”

‘Pushpa’ stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Fassil, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and others in important roles. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is to appear in an item song as well.

Actress Rashmika Mandanna says she has been overwhelmed by the love she has received ever since she topped the Forbes list of ‘Most Influential Stars’ of south cinema.

Rashmika has been juggling between shootings and the promotions for her movie ‘Pushpa’.

The ‘Dear Comrade’ actress who plays a native Chittoor woman in ‘Pushpa’, said that the makers had picked her for her familiarity with the language.

“My role in the movie is closer to reality. I worked hard for this movie. Especially the picturisation of songs was a bit difficult,” Rashmika expressed.

Recently, Rashmika topped the Forbes list of the ‘Most Influential Stars’ of south cinema.

On being quizzed about the same, the actress expressed that she has been overwhelmed by the kind of love she has received ever since.

“I feel humbled and thankful. This is what I work for. The love is unlimited. I am only thankful and trying to stay grounded as well”, Rashmika conveyed.

Rashmika is to appear in a couple of Bollywood movies, of which one is a movie alongside megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

As ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is all set to release in theatres Friday, Rashmika has been participating in back-to-back promotions in different cities across India.

Helmed by Sukumar, ‘Pushpa’ is a two-part movie, which also stars Fahad Fassil as a bad cop.

Telugu star Allu Arjun has expressed gratitude to ‘RRR’ director S.S. Rajamouli for his encouragement for the actor’s upcomg film ‘Pushpa’.

Allu Arjun has experimented with multiple genres in Telugu and has come up with a pan-India subject in the form of ‘Pushpa’.

Reacting to Rajamouli’s suggestion about working harder for the Hindi promotions of ‘Pushpa’, Allu Arjun says he will try to push himself harder.

“I thank Rajamouli sir, who attended the pre-release event of ‘Pushpa’ even though he has been busy promoting ‘RRR’. He had suggested that I should promote ‘Pushpa’ even harder, during his speech during the event. His words filled new energy in me,” the ‘Ala Vaikuntapuramlo’ actor said.

“We were completely involved in the making of the film till last week. We did not get time for promotions in Mumbai until now. As Rajamouli suggested, I will leave for Mumbai on the 16th to hold a press meet there,” Allu Arjun said.

“‘Pushpa’ is a breakthrough movie in my career. It will take me to new waters, and I want to say that I have so much to explore as an actor and ‘Pushpa’ is just the beginning. I hope that I get to act in more of such experimental movies,” Arjun said.

Arjun also added that the team has been a bit late to kickstart the promotions in Hindi, but assured that they have planned a special promotional tour in Mumbai on December 16.

‘Pushpa’ is releasing on December 17. It is directed by Sukumar while Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead.

The team of Pushpa has been working without breaks even after the release date of the film is near. Sukumar and his team have been working on the last minute DI corrections of the film. There are speculations that the USA premieres of the film may get delayed as the content of the film may not reach on time. The final copy is locked and the content is shipped. There would be no delay in the premieres and the early shows all over and this is confirmed the makers.

This will be a huge relief for the team. On the other hand, the film’s lead actor Allu Arjun will participate in the media interaction in Mumbai with the Bollywood media today. Stylish Star Allu Arjun transformed himself like never before for his role as Pushpa Raj in his upcoming movie Pushpa. This is the third collaboration of Allu Arjun and Sukumar. During his recent media interaction, Allu Arjun revealed about the magical journey of Pushpa. He said that Sukumar narrated the plot for 10 minutes and Bunny gave his nod. The final script is locked for 4 hours and it is then they decided to make the film in two parts.

“Pushpa is a journey of 23 months. During the pandemic break, I practiced Chittoor accent and got perfect in the slang. We decided to release the film this year as we have plans of releasing the sequel in 2022. Our team worked round the clock to make it possible. The biggest challenge was about shooting for Pushpa in the forests of Maredumilli. We even built roads to travel to the shooting locations. My role has three different shades in the film. I am eagerly waiting for the release and want to hear the feedback from the audience. We had no initial plans of releasing in Pushpa as a pan-Indian film but we took the call during the shoot” told Allu Arjun.

Starring beside Allu Arjun in ‘Pushpa’, Rashmika thinks Sukumar is one of the most talented directors she has worked with. “‘Pushpa’ is a raw, rustic movie, which requires detailing minute things, which Sukumar is famous for. I was amused when I got this offer,” she said.

Talking about how she was roped in for the movie, Rashmika said, “The makers of ‘Pushpa’ wanted an actress who would also be familiar with the Chittoor accent. So, I had given three look tests before we shook hands for the movie.”

As Rashmika spoke about her experience as an actress, Rashmika stated that she had to unlearn many things for this role, as director Sukumar wanted to bring an organic appeal to it.

“We actors never got to learn our dialogues beforehand, as we had to go unprepared. Under Sukku sir’s direction, he keeps everything organic. We walked into the sets, where we are given our dialogues. We had to pick up the scenario on the spot,” explained the ‘Dear Comrade’ actress.

The actress mentioned that it was quite difficult for her to shoot for the ‘Saami Saami’ song. “We shot it in a remote area and we worked really hard on it. Allu Arjun would monitor each shot after it was done, and he gives the best suggestions,” she said.

The songs, trailer, and posters for ‘Pushpa’ have been received well as she said, “I love the way people have responded to them.”

Rashmika said that despite living out of a suitcase, she has been enjoying her life.

A heap of fans rushed to Hyderabad’s N Convention after they heard the news about a photoshoot with their favorite actor. But with Allu Arjun never turning up for the event, the angry mob pelted stones on the Convention Centre and the cops had to enter the scene to control the situation. Some of the fans got injured because of the lathi charge. Some of the fans even visited the office of Geetha Arts in huge numbers and the team of Allu Arjun clarified that it was a fake news.

Soon, Allu Arjun issued a statement about the same. “I got to know about the unfortunate incident of my fans getting injured at a fan meet event today. My team is personally monitoring the situation and keeping me updated. Henceforth, I will take a lot of care to ensure that such incidents don’t happen again. Your love and admiration is my biggest asset and I am never going to take them for granted” told Allu Arjun. On the other side, a case has been filed in Jubilee Hills Police Station against Mythri Movie Makers, the production house of Pushpa for allowing a huge number of fans than permitted for the pre-release event.
