KCR influencing politics in T, AP by threatening everyone: Revanth Reddy
Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is using his political power and trying to win all the elections by threatening all the leaders and cadres from opposition parties, criticises Revanth Reddy. If no one dares to oppose such dirty politics, then those who threaten will rule like a dictator, he said.
Relying on the latest surveys, Telangana Congress working president Revanth Reddy exerted confidence that the grand old party will win 150 seats in the forthcoming general elections. Responding to remark of TRS supremo K Chandrashekhar Rao, who said casting vote for Congress will go waste, Revanth Reddy has questioned that if casting a vote for Congress, which is expected to win 150 seats, goes waste, then what will happen to vote casted for TRS, which is expecting to win 16 seats.
“Telangana voters are intelligent and they know who to vote for in the Lok Sabha elections. KCR is threatening all the leaders and cadres from opposition parties. By resorting to threatening and blackmailing practices, KCR is trying to sweep all the elections. This is what happened in Assembly, Sarpanches and MLC elections. Without thinking of winning or losing, I work for the welfare of people. The forthcoming general elections will decide who’ll become Prime Minister of India. So, this election is very crucial for the country and state as well. KCR is not a trustworthy leader. National leaders wouldn’t join him for his dream mission Federal Front,” remarked Reddy.
KCR can’t float national party: Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad: Telangana Congress working president Revanth Reddy has ruled out any possibility of floating a national party by TRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao. He further said that KCR is trying to deceive people by making false and impossible plans for national political career.
“Telangana chief minister and TRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao should explain people on how he’s going to set up a national party and it feasibility. TRS is confined to Telangana and how can he float a national party without any base in any other state not even Andhra Pradesh. This election is going to be between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress chief Rahul Gandhi only. No other regional party can think of it as almost all the regional parties are either part of Congress or BJP. Particularly, KCR’s Federal Front concept didn’t receive any major response from other regional parties,” said Revanth Reddy.
Revanth Reddy is contesting from Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency. He further challenged KCR whether can he declare that he wouldn’t seek votes in case he doesn’t set up a national political party.
“KCR claims that he would get 120 Lok Sabha seats. How can it be possible? There’s no regional party, which is ready to make an alliance with KCR. TRS didn’t even announce support to Mamata Benerjee’s recent protest and didn’t participate in the rally held on January 19 in Kolkata. I see very very limited role for TRS in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.”
Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy has met Prof Kodandaram, president of Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS). Revanth Reddy has sought Kodandaram’s support in Malakajgiri Lok Sabha constituency.
Modi targeting Chandrababu in Note for Vote case: Revanth
Telangana Congress Working President Revanth Reddy made sensational remarks against PM Modi once again. He accused the Modi government of misusing the Enforcement Directorate officials to falsely implicate AP CM Chandrababu Naidu in the Vote for Note case. Revanth is being investigated by the ED officials on where from he got Rs. 50 lakh that was seized from him by the officials.
Revanth later said that he was particularly questioned about involvement of Chandrababu Naidu’s role. It all seemed the Mod government was trying hard to somehow make Naidu an accused in the case. There is a bigger conspiracy than how it looks on the surface. Revanth said the BJP government at the Centre was trying to fire at Chandrababu with its gun placed on the shoulders of CM KCR. It is well know TRS and BJP have secret understandings in 2018 elections as well.
Revanth’s allegations brought to the fore the burning issue of misuse of central institutions to harass political rivals. With the elections fast approaching, the BJP is bringing force on the ED to hasten investigation on Note for Vote case. Analysts say the BJP’s efforts will not lead to any electoral advantage just like in Telangana where the party won just one seat out of 119 MLA seat in last election. The BJP may put up a worse performance in AP because of current anti-Modi sentiment.
TG defections – Jagga Reddy and Revant Reddy next?
Anything can happen in politics, there are no permanent friends or foes here – say many. Prathap Reddy, who vehemently criticized KCR before elections and alleged KCR of hatching conspiracy to kill him, finally joined TRS. Now there are discussions in political circles about Jagga Reddy and Revanth Reddy following the same path.
In recent times, Sangareddy MLA Jagga reddy has been sending feelers to KCR to patch up with him. It is known news that there is a police case filed on him just before elections. Traveling to US on forged documents , human trafficking were some of the serious allegations on him. Now after the elections, Jagga reddy started making positive or neutral statements on KCR and TRS. He instructed his followers not to mess up with TRS cadres. Now he says, he wants to facilitate KCR if he comes to Sangareddy. He also said that KCR doesn’t need him but he needs KCR support (for developing the constituency).
Revanth Reddy also was very vehement in criticizing KCR. In fact his fierce comments on KCR and TRS only brought him fire-brand image. Now the rumors are cicculating in political circles that KCR may offer him MLC post if he joins TRS. It is to be noted here that if he joins TRS, vote for note case on CBN may also take a new turn. But Revanth’s followers are saying that he will not join TRS and reminding that he is CM candidate in Congress party. But one thing is sure that Revanth also completely mellowed down his tone nowadays.

One more chance: Leaders who lost in assembly to contest for LS
Because of KCR’s decision to go for early elections, Assembly elections and General elections are separated in Telangana. Now both these elections have a comfortable gap of 6 months and because of this, most of the senior leaders who lost in Telangana have one more opportunity to test their luck.
Most of the prominent leaders like Revanth Reddy, Jana Reddy, Shabbir Ali, Sarve Satyanarayana – all have lost in the elections as TRS leaders gained because of the tide that blown in favour of KCR. Now the cadres of these leaders are all forcing them to contest again in Lok Sabha elections that are to be held in Summer’ 2019 . There have been reports coming that firebrand leader Revanth Reddy is planning to contest from Mahabub Nagar in the upcoming general elections. At the same time, leaders like Sarve Satyanarayana were parliament members earlier . He even served as union minister in Manmohan Singh cabinet. As per reports, he is also planning to contest from Malkajgiri again.
As of now, there is no news about other leaders like Jana reddy, Shabbir Ali etc, who confined to state politics most of the times. But there are other leaders in both TDP and Congress, who planned to contest as rebel candidates but their respective high command leaders promised them a seat in LS election. So these leaders also aspiring to test their luck in 2019. So, we may see lot of leaders who lost in Telangana elections 2018 contesting in 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
KCR avoids arrest issue: Revanth released
Political developments in Kodangal segment have shaken all Telangana state since arrest of Congress candidate Revanth Reddy. High Court also asked where was the necessity for making arrest around midnight hours. Revanth was taken away to an undisclosed place and released after CM K Chandrasekhara Rao’s election meeting was concluded. There was lot of curiosity what kind of criticism KCR would launch against Revanth Reddy in his meeting speech.
KCR took everybody by surprise by not passing any comments on Revanth and he did not even mention the name of Congress candidate. CM simply said it would be only the TRS party that would do everything to improve the lot of Kodangal assembly segment. He passed comments against the Prajakutami and the BJP, saying that the rival parties were not interested in real development of Telangana.
By not speaking about the arrest issue, KCR has carefully avoided needless trouble that may arise out of the issue which is already placed before the court. The government advocate general has told the court the reasons for midnight arrest of Revanth would be placed before the court on Wednesday when the court insisted on doing so. Senior Congress leaders have called it the highhandedness of the police and the government to resort to such undemocratic acts at the time of elections.
AICC president Rahul Gandhi responded in a tweet, saying the arrest was made as the TRS was in grip of fear of losing the battle and this kind of arrests would not stop the Congress wave in the state.
Breaking: Revanth Reddy released after High court intervention
It is known news that TPCC Working President Revanth Reddy was arrested early morning hours today. Police arresting him just before KCR’s meeting in this area, received wide criticism. But the latest update is Police released Revanth reddy this afternoon. Details as below.
Today early morning, police entered Revanth’s house in Kodangal and broke open his bedroom door and arrested him. Section 144 was imposed in the constituency after Revanth Reddy’s arrest. Revanth Reddy family and Congress party moved to Hyderabad High court on this and filed lunch motion petition. High court accepted the petition and questioned police on why they had to arrest Revanth Reddy. Police replied, they have intelligence report that there will be provocations and disturbances in the constituency. Court ordered Police to submit that report to court and also ordered to release Revanth Reddy. Meanwhile Election commission CEO Rajat Kumar spoke to DGP and directed him to release Revanth. Police finally released Revanth Reddy.

The strict rules framed by Election Commission to ensure peaceful conduct of elections have offered a big chance for rivals to embarrass Congress Telangana president Revanth Reddy ahead of December 7 election. Revanth’s call to his supporters to obstruct CM Chandrasekhara Rao’s election meeting is now cited as the main reason for his preventive arrest. Even Chief Electoral Officer Rajath Kumar has given the same reason on record.
The Congress leaders and Revanth’s wife Gita are arguing he might have been placed under house arrest but such decisions are upto the discretion of the officials who are in charge of the situation concerned. Bandh call and protests at the height of electioneering are something never seen or heard before in any election so far. A senior leader like Revanth has issued such calls for which the reasons are obvious considering enormous stress that TRS has given him by getting police searches made in Congress activists’ houses in his assembly constituency Kodangal limits.
All said and done, the ruling TRS has fully utilised the situation and made sure Revanth is subjected to unforeseen preventive action. Congress senior leader S. Jaipal Reddy asked whether KCR would keep silent if his daughter’s bedroom is raided in a similar manner. Revanth’s wife is daughter of Jaipal’s brother. During election time, the authorities do not take any chances which may be the reason why they have broken open the doors and forcibly took away Revanth. The officials have decided to keep location of Revanth a secret may be till the completion of KCR’s meeting after which he is of course to be released.
Congress leaders allege the arrest denied a right to campaigning for Revanth. It may be correct but there is also a hidden benefit of all-round media attention for hours together exclusively on Revanth’s arrest.

Revanth Reddy farmhouse demolition; Congress files petition in HC
Hours later the arrest of Congress leader Revanth Reddy, his farm house compound walls was demolished by unidentified persons. The TPCC working president Reddy has over three acre farm house at Gopannapalli here. Few persons using three JCB excavators demolished the compound wall in the wee hours of Tuesday. The police has taken 10 people into custody and started investigation. Congress leaders alleged that this is nothing but to divert the issue of arrest. The Telangana police has arrested Revanth Reddy and taken to Jadcherla training center. The police also arrested his brother, security men and watchman as well in Kodangal constituency. The high drama of arrest took place at 3am this morning.
In a preempt measure, the police took this initiative in the wake of public meeting being organized by the TRS at Kosgi in Kodangal constituency on Tuesday. It’s learnt that the police took Reddy to Shamshabad police station and released watchman at Parigi village.
Expressing concerns over the arrest, Geetha, wife of Revanth Reddy, said that “it’s a direct attack on their self-respect. People should react to this incident by defeating the TRS party in Telangana.”
Over 100 policemen have been deployed at the resident of Revanth Reddy and 144 section is in force in all mandals of Kodangal constituency. The police have taken several Congress leaders into custody. Meanwhile, the Congress cadres got into action to protest against the arrest of Revanth Reddy. Several Congress partymen gathered at his residence and started raising slogans against the police department and the TRS party.
Petition in High Court over arrest
Challenging the arrest of Revanth Reddy, the Congress party on Tuesday filed a lunch motion petition in High Court. TRS party too complained to the Election Commission against the statement of Revanth Reddy that he would stall the public meeting of KCR in his constituency. On the other hand, Revanth Reddy’s wife Geetha has announced that she would go to the public meeting of KCR to protest against the arrest of her husband.
Now, all eyes turned to the outcome of the High Court amid rising curiosity and prevailing tension ahead of KCR’s public meeting in Kodangal constituency.
Midnight drama: Revanth arrested over KCR meeting
The electoral rivalry reached a peak between the Congress and the ruling TRS in Kodangal segment in Vikarabad district. Congress Working President Revanth Reddy was arrested from his house at midnight by the police ahead of CM K Chandrasekhara Rao’s election meeting today. Revanth was forcibly taken away from his house after the police appeared suddenly in large numbers.
Revanth’s children took videos of the preventive arrest. Already, the police booked two cases against Revanth in Kodangal police station for giving call for dharna and protest and obstruct the KCR’s election meeting. The election authorities have also taken serious note of Revanth’s protest. Seeing the spiralling situation, the police have decided to take Revanth into preventive custody and ensure smooth conduct of the TRS public meeting.
Revanth’s wife Gita took strong objection the manner in which the police entered the house and made the arrest. Revanth’s brothers and close relatives were taken into preventive custody. Revanth was shifted to Jadcherla assembly segment and Section 144 was imposed in Kodangal preventing meetings of people even in small numbers.
The analysts saw this as an act of desperation on the part of KCR who may also be thinking of putting pressure on the Prajakutami leaders. There is a viewpoint Revanth could have been placed under arrest instead of breaking open his house doors and shifting him away from the segment. A war-like situation is prevailing in Kodangal as Revanth’s followers were left in utter confusion while the police were not allowing groupings of people in the roads due to 144 section.

Kodangal sees all-out war between TRS and Congress
Telangana Congress Committee Working President Revanth Reddy’s Kodangal segment in Vikarabad district has become a hotbed of all out war between the ruling TRS and the main opposition Congress party. CM K Chandrasekhara Rao has turned special attention here and the TRS leaders have been creating some problem or the other like making police complaints and getting searches made in Revanth’s followers’ houses.
Consequently, Revanth’s followers have also taken a serious, aggressive stand challenging the TRS for a do or die battle. They called for a bandh to protest against the CM KCR’s public meeting in Kodangal. Revanth’s followers have also threatened to obstruct the CM’s meeting by issuing statements locally. Alarmed at the sudden turn of events, the TRS leaders have complained to the election authorities about this issue. The Election Commission has directed the DGP to look into the details and take suitable action on which a report may be sent to the EC as early as possible.
Though the TRS party is making all efforts, it is not able to gain a certain edge in Kodangal considering the huge following that Revanth has personally in the segment. The ruling party has put pressure on Revanth by making complaints and getting searches in the Congress activists’ homes that has met with serious backlash. With the situation turning volatile as of now, the election officials are preparing to take additional steps for ensuring law and order.
Revanth himself squatted on the road amid raising of slogans by his followers when he objected to the police conducting searches and harassing women members of Congress activists’ families. The election war reached a flash point now with both TRS and Congress cadres challenging each other to gain an upper hand.
TRS targets Revanth?
Is the ruling party TRS targeting Congress working president and contestant from Kodangal Assembly Segment Mr. Revanth Reddy? The circumstances are saying ‘Yes’ to this question as the multiple agencies are being continuing raids on him and his associates.
Before the commencement of poll-fight, Mr. Revanth faced Income Tax raids and the I-T sleuths after two-day searches found no undisclosed amount or any benami transactions. Recently, the Flying Squads established by the Election Commission of India (ECI) that consists of police, revenue and excise teams started frequent raids on Revnath Reddy and his followers’ houses.
On Friday, the Flying squads conducted raids on Revanth’s key associate and ZPTC Member Mr. Rajesh Reddy in Chawdaripally of Kodangal Segment. On the very next day (Saturday) the special parties and flying squads organised searches at other key associates including Yousuf, Musthaq, Ramachandra Reddy and Madhusudhan Reddy.
Opposing the mid-night raids, Mr. Revanth Reddy along with Congress Party workers held a protest till wee hours of Sunday and criticised the TRS party and Chief Minister KCR by raising slogans.
Speaking to media, Mr. Revanth said, “The police have no powers to conduct raids without any search warrant. Though the government continue its strategy that create impediments to me, I never afraid on it and the Prajakutami will win with huge majority.”
KCR’s conspiracy on my murder, says Revanth Reddy
Congress Working President and Contestant from Kodangal segment Mr. A.Reventh Reddy on Friday alleged that a conspiracy was being planned to eliminate him that to be created as Naxals’ attack by the Chief Minister KCR and the Telangana police department.
Speaking at a press conference organized at his residence at Kodangal, Mr. Revanth said that due to the reason, he postponed the campaign in various assembly segments especially naxals affected areas.
He also criticized the police department for not providing additional security to him though he was appointed as Congress Party’s working president and was announced as ‘Star Campaigner’ in the party. “The High Court directed Telangana police for providing tight security to me, but, the police avoiding the court’s orders. The chief minister is playing key role in the conspiracy on eliminating me and police is playing supporting role. The police adopted surrendered naxals for the implementation of the conspiracy,” he said.
Due to the most believable information passed through some sources, he said, “I did not attend a scheduled meeting at Narsampet on Thursday. I requested the central government for providing security with central forces,” he said.
KCR plotting to make my nomination invalid, says Revanth Reddy
Strategies and counter strategies are not abnormal during elections as rival parties leaders try to outsmart others in a bid to ensure their victory. The ruling TRS leaders in Telangana are very good at this psychological warfare at the time of any election as they take advantage of every small opportunity to embarrass opposition.
Now, TRS is bent up giving trouble to Congress Telangana Working President Revanth Reddy at every stage of electioneering and campaigning. Because of this, a controversy was triggered surrounding the filing of nomination papers of Revanth Reddy in Kodangal assembly segment. Just as Revanth’s brother filed nomination on his behalf and left the premises there, a DSP level officer came there to submit documents to election officials there that there were two more police cases against Revanth Reddy.
Explaining about such incidents, Revanth Reddy alleged that CM K. Chandrasekhara Rao has been trying to make his nomination invalid somehow and for this purpose the TRS cadres are acting day and night taking support from the officials. He accused Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar and DGP Mahender Reddy of not taking immediate action when TRS goons had beaten up Congress activists to disrupt Congress election meeting at Renubatla village in Kodangal limits. Revanth even threatened to approach the court complaining against the collusion of the top officials.
Revanth also issued an ultimatum to all those officials and employees who would dare to extent indirect support to TRS for making KCR CM again. Once Congress comes into power in next month election, the party would pay back in same coin to such officers.

TRS candidates dailing Revanth Reddy, but why ?
TPCC working president Revanth Reddy is one of the fearless and ferocious leaders who is fighting against TRS from last few years. However due to few incidents this fight has turned into a personal battle between KCR family and Revanth. Now TRS is trying to defeat revanth reddy in his own consistency by placing a strong candidate there. Patnam Narendra Reddy brother of minister Patnam Mahendar Reddy will be fighting on revanth. But as a responsible working president many congress MLA candidates are asking revanth to campaign in there constituencies. Almost 50-60 Candidates are behind revanth for dates. Senior leaders like shabir Ali and few other are also on the list. Revanth is trying to accommodate time for most of them.
One congress candidate from Ranga reddy told Telugu 360 ” if Revanth can campaign for one day in my constituency, it would make 10,000 votes difference. I asked him and waiting for his date.”
Here, interestingly not only congress candidates but TRS candidates are also calling revanth reddy. But there request is completely different. They are calling him on a friendly note to request for not to attend the campaign in their constituency. Even TRS candidates are feeling that his campaign would make a difference which they can’t afford. So, few people who have access to him are dailing him to request.
Sources from revanth group says “Revanth will not consider such requests as his ultimate agenda is to bring down TRS. But however he may accept due to personal bonding but not the people who are travelling under his leadership”.
But revanth has no special facilities like a helicopter or a star campaigner status to travel quick and finish most of his work. According to high court directions, revanth should be provide a 4+4 security and an escort which will definitely help him for a faster campaign.
KCR is RGV, Congress is K. Vishwanath : Revanth Reddy
Congress party leader Revanth Reddy made some interesting comments in an interview given to a leading media house today. He compared KCR’s 2014 manifesto with Shiva movie, KCR to director Ram Gopal Varma and Congress party to director K. Vishwanath.
Revanth Reddy told, KCR’S 2014 manifesto was an experiment like Ram Gopal Varma’s Shiva movie and people liked that experiment. He further added, “But, like RGV could not continue his success after Shiva movie, KCR will also fail. ” It seems he was referring to RGV’s flop movies like ‘Rathri’ that followed Shiva. When asked about Congress Party, he compared it with veteran director K. Vishwanath, who made ‘family movies’ (as per Revanth Reddy).
However, it seems Revanth Reddy is missing the logic. Even though K. Vishwanath movies got critical acclaim, most of his movies failed to attract masses. People who saw the interview felt, Revanth could have thought of better analogy.
Congress vs TRS in Kodangal
The small assembly segment Kodangal, which was under the jurisdiction of undivided Mahbubnagar and later shifted to Vikarabad district during reorganization of district, has been attracting voters of Telangana following possibilities of tough fight between opposition party Congress and ruling party TRS.
The chiefs of both parties have taken the victory in the segment as serious while A. Revanth Reddy, who was involved in ‘Cash for Vote’ case and the recent I-T raids, is supposed to be the candidate of Congress and the TRS strategically announced Mr. Patnam Narender Reddy, who is brother of Minister Mr. Patnam Mahender Reddy.
While the congress is confidence on Revanth Reddy as he is sitting ex-MLA and having cadre, the TRS focusing on new localities which were merged during reorganization of districts.
Revanth Reddy has already alleged that the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the Director General of Police Mr. M. Mahender Reddy were planning conspiracy for his defeat in the segment. While Revanth Reddy has started campaign as one-man-army as there was no support of other senior leaders from the undivided Mahbubnagar except Former Union Minister Jaipal Reddy, the TRS has deployed few ministers for supporting Mr. Patnam Narender Reddy. By the ongoing circumstances with the strategies of TRS, Kodangal has become hot topic among political parties.
Revanth Reddy to resign to MLA post
Fire brand MLA Revanth Reddy , who joined Congress from TDP, is resigning to his MLA post now. He went to give his resignation letter to speaker but speaker was not available at that point of time and so he couldn’t give.
Actually when he defected from TDP into Congress, he was supposed to resign to his MLA post as well. But instead of sending resignation letter to speaker , he sent to his party supremo Chandrababu Naidu. So , technically he is still TDP MLA as speaker never received his resignation letter to the MLA post.
However , as Telangana government is planning to dissolve the assembly and go for early elections, Revanth Reddy is also planning to resign to his MLA post. He prepared resignation letter in proper format now. As speaker was not available, he couldn’t to submit his resignation but he will be doing it soon.
KTR paid BAN producers to rename MB as ‘Bharat Ram’ – Revanth Reddy
Telangana Congress leader and former TDP MLA Revanth Reddy made wild allegations on KTR. Talking to the press, the firebrand leader said, ‘everyone knows the fate of TRS party in the upcoming elections.
They will surely lose. Post that, KTR can confine himself for anchoring. In fact, KTR paid ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ movie producers to name Mahesh Babu’s character as ‘Bharat Ram’’, said Revanth Reddy.
Responding to the Karnataka Assembly Elections results, the Congress leader found a fault with the BJP. ‘Though Congress emerged as the largest party in Goa Assembly Elections, the governor invited BJP to form the government. In Manipur and Meghalaya, the governors allowed post-elections alliance, giving BJP to form the government.
Both PM Modi and Amit Shah has no trust in the Indian Constitution, are known for encouraging party defection. BJP is well known for changing the system to its advantage’, said Revanth Reddy.
Keeping aside his comments on the Karnataka Elections, the Congress leader is quite confident that TRS defeat is imminent. Even Siddharamaiah who was the sitting CM exhibited the same kind of confidence in the recent elections in Karnataka over BJP and lost the elections.
