Akhil Akkineni tested his luck with Agent which happens to be the costliest attempt in his career. Sony Liv acquired the digital rights of the film for a record price and the film was scheduled to premiere in May. But the digital release is pushed and this is irritating Akhil’s fans. Surendar Reddy and his team have taken time to edit the final version. Some of the episodes that are chopped for the theatrical release are added in the digital version.

But the delay in the digital release will bring off the interest among the audience. The film is already declared as a dud and there would be a limited audience to watch the film in the digital space. Sony Liv will make an official announcement about the OTT release date soon and Agent is expected to premiere in the month of June. Agent is directed by Surendar Reddy and is produced by AK Entertainment. Akhil will announce and he will kick-start the shoot of his next film in August.

Agent is one of the biggest disasters of Telugu cinema and in the career of Akhil. The youngster has dedicated more than two years on the film. But the film ended up as a huge dud. Akhil was calm and did not respond even after being trolled. For the first time, he responded about the film’s debacle. He thanked his fans for supporting him. He specially mentioned the fillm’s producer Anil Sunkara for his support. Akhil did not mention the director Surendar Reddy’s name though he thanked the entire cast and crew.

I will come back stronger for all those who believe in me” posted Akhil on his social media page.

Akhil Akkineni has been struggling for success and he had all his hopes on Agent. The actor spent more than two years on the film and his hard work is clearly visible on screen. The film bombed badly and the makers will lose big with Agent. The entire team of Agent was trolled badly. Akhil was not seen across the media after the film’s release. Akhil was spotted in Hyderabad airport and he flew off to Dubai for a short vacation. The actor has to recover and shift his focus on his next film.

The youngster will return back soon and he will get back to work. There is an announcement coming from UV Creations about Akhil’s next and it is kept on hold. The announcement will be made very soon. Akhil also is in talks for couple of projects that will be finalized soon.

Agent is expected to open on a strong note all over. The film is also heading for a record release all over. Agent also has the advantage of the long weekend (May 1st) if the word of mouth is positive. Agent is a spine-chilling thriller that is directed by Surendar Reddy. Sakshi Vaidya is making her debut as the heroine and Anil Sunkara’s AK Entertainments produced this stylish action entertainer.
