Megastar Chiranjeevi who has been an undisputed King of Telugu cinema for over three decades has completed 44 years in Tollywood. His first film Pranam Khareedu released on September 22nd in the year 1978. He thanked everyone who supported him over the years in this remarkable journey. He scored several super hits in his career in these 44 years. He took a break for politics and he returned back to Telugu cinema after a brief break with Khaidi No 150.

“Chiranjeevi the Actor as you all know was born today, 22 September 1978, 44 years ago! I owe this limitless love and affection I receive from you all, to this day! I owe everything to this day! Humbled and Grateful!” posted Chiranjeevi. The top actor’s next film God Father is hitting the screens during Dasara. A couple of other films Bhola Shankar and Waltair Veerayya are currently under shoot.

With just less than two weeks left for the release, the makers are yet to kick-start the promotions on a full-fledged note. The first single ‘Thaar Maar Thakkar Maar’ that was planned for the launch was delayed by days. Mega fans are left in waiting mode and the big announcement is finally made. The lyrical song of Thaar Maar Thakkar Maar will be released this evening. The promotional activities of God Father will start with the song. The other singles too will be released before this weekend.

Two grand events of God Father are planned in this month in Anantapur and Mumbai. God Father is directed by Mohan Raja and Bollywood actor Salman Khan plays an important role. Nayanthara and Satyadev played other prominent roles. Mega Super Good Films and Konidela Production Company bankrolled God Father. The film is carrying good expectations.

The promotional campaign met with a small hiccup with the postponement of the lyrical video of the first single, Thaar Maar Thakkar Maar. But everything is sorted and it will be released tomorrow.

Fans will have non-stop treat with back to back releasing of the songs, trailer, and then, there are two Pre-release events. All the promotional content is also ready and locked.

It may be a bitter truth but the upcoming film of Megastar Chiranjeevi titled God Father is lacking minimum buzz. The released teaser and the promotional content failed to generate any interest in the film. The film is made on a big budget and Chiranjeevi’s remuneration holds the lion’s share of the film. With the film struggling for buzz, the makers are yet to seal the theatrical deals. None of the distributors are ready to take the risk however they are ready to distribute the film on a recovery basis. There would be no non-refundable deals for the film. The producers will have to take the entire risk.

One reason for this is the low buzz that God Father is carrying. The second reason is the production house Mega Super Good Films which are not active production house of Telugu cinema. NV Prasad and RB Chowdary will have to bear the financial risk of the film. If the film ends up as a hit, it would be good as everyone will be left in profit. If the film flops at the box-office, the financial stress will have to be borne by the producers. Acharya debacle is also impacting God Father.

God Father will have an advantage as it is releasing during the Dasara season. It’s time for the makers to do some aggressive promotions and generate enough buzz on the film. Mohan Raja directed God Father and Chiranjeevi, Salman Khan, Nayanthara and Satyadev played the lead roles.

But the Mega fans and the audience are completely left in deep shock with the background score composed by Thaman. The score sounded completely similar to that of Varun Tej’s Ghani. Thaman is badly trolled by Mega fans for his poor and lifted background score. The title track of Ghani and the background score are posted by Mega fans on Twitter.

Thaman is yet to respond about the same. Thaman who has been in top-class form and delivered several blockbusters in the recent years was also equally trolled. He was last targeted for the background score of Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata. God Father is the first collaboration of Chiranjeevi and Thaman. The film is the remake of Lucifer and is directed by Mohan Raja. Nayanthara, Samuthirakani and Satyadev played other important roles. The film is announced for October 5th release during Dasara.
