Legendary director Mani Ratnam is all focused on Ponniyin Selvan and the first installment of the periodic epic is releasing in September. As a part of the promotions, the single number of Ponniyin Selvan is out. During his speech, Mani Ratnam heaped praises on top director SS Rajamouli. “Ponniyin Selvan is possible only because of SS Rajamouli, the man behind the country’s biggest epic Baahubali. The film is successful in both the parts and Baahubali is an inspiration for me” told Mani Ratnam.

He also lauded Megastar Chiranjeevi but he promised to disclose the reason at a later time. “I would specially thank Megastar Chiranjeevi but I will reveal the reason at a later date and not now” told Mani Ratnam. Ponniyin Selvan is produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions jointly. Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj and Rahman played the lead roles. Legendary music composer AR Rahman scored the music and background score.

The crew of the film ‘Liger’, which included Charmme Kaur, Vijay Deverakonda, and director Puri Jagannadh, paid a visit to the set of megastar Chiranjeevi’s highly awaited film ‘Godfather.’

In a unique set built in Mumbai, the ‘Godfather’ crew was filming a special song, which will have India’s superstars Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan shake their legs together.

As they visited them on the sets of ‘Godfather,’ the ‘Liger’ team, which was busy promoting their film in Mumbai, received the stars’ blessings for their movie’s upcoming theatrical release.

A picture of them all together, has become viral: Salman Khan, Chiranjeevi, Vijay Deverakonda, Puri Jagannadh, and Charmme Kaur are featured in the picture from the sets of ‘Godfather’.

The movie ‘Godfather,’ which is being directed by Mohan Raja and produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films, is billed as a political thriller action movie. The movie is a remake of ‘Lucifer,’ a 2019 Malayalam film.

In Mohan Raja’s directorial ‘Godfather’, a fun dance number, featuring Salman Khan and Chiranjeevi is being filmed. Even more thrilling is the fact that India’s renowned choreographer Prabhu Deva has joined forces with Salman-Chiranjeevi duo to compose the moves for the superstars.

A picture of Mohan Raja and Prabhu Deva, a choreographer-turned-director who is directing a song in the blockbuster film, was posted on Twitter by Mohan Raja. The director also disclosed that the song’s filming had only started a day before.

Acharya Ceeded issue settled

Last week, the distributors and exhibitors from the Ceeded region flocked to the office of Koratala Siva. They demanded a compensation for the losses incurred for Acharya. Koratala Siva and his team settled the issue by returning back the amount for some of the territories. The Ceeded issue is now settled for Rs 4.75 crores and the makers, Koratala Siva promised to pay back the amount in a month. The necessary documentation for the same has been done after which the buyers went back. The issue is now sorted out finally.

Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan returned back an amount to settle the losses of Acharya. The film’s producer Niranjan Reddy promised to bear the GST expenses which would be close to Rs 10 crores. Koratala Siva is responsible for the other losses as he handled the business. He is also working on the script of his next and the film has NTR in the lead role. The shoot is pushed as the final script is not ready. NTR too is eagerly waiting for the final narration.

He also left a note for the famed cricketer after the two met after a six-year gap, indicating that the duo referred to each other as ‘Chiru,’ a reference to megastar Chiranjeevi.

Dwaraka Ravi Teja claimed that Virat Kohli was his roommate during his U15 days and that the two would frequently dance to Telugu star Chiranjeevi’s songs. Ravi Teja mentioned that they had begun calling each other Chiru.

Dwaraka Ravi Teja penned: “Met him after six long years after IPL in UK and the first thing he tells me is Chiru kaisa hai tu? Throwback to U-15 days when we were roommates and I used to watch Chiranjeevi’s songs on tv and he used to dance to them”.

He recently completed a schedule of Bhola Shankar in the direction of Meher Ramesh and he is shooting for Bobby’s Waltair Veerayya currently. Chiranjeevi springs a surprise at Modi meeting

Actor and former Union Minister K Chiranjeevi sprung a surprise to everyone at Bhimavaram with his appearance as Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the year-long celebrations of 125th birth anniversary of revolutionary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju on Monday.

Chiranjeevi, who was the former Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, reached the venue a few minutes before the arrival of the Prime Minister. His successor and Minister G Kishan Reddy welcomed the former minister on the dais with a handshake and hug.

On his arrival, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy too greeted Chiranjeevi on the dais with a smile and warm hug. They exchanged pleasantries as the crowd greeted them with claps and whistles.

It was then Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on the dais. After his usual greetings to the crowd, the Prime Minister noticed Chiranjeevi on the dais and greeted him with a pat on his back. The Prime Minister also had a few words with the actor-turned politician with all smiles on his face.

Jagan Mohan Reddy too had a few words with the Prime Minister about Chiranjeevi as the crowd cheered them. Even before leaving the dais after the meeting, the Prime Minister had a word with Chiranjeevi.

However, it is not known what the Prime Minister shared with Chiranjeevi, but the atmosphere was pleasant and a welcoming development for the crowd going by the way they responded.

Music label bags audio rights for Chiranjeevi-starrer ‘Godfather’

Even as fans impatiently wait for the first-look poster of Chiranjeevi’s ‘Godfather’, the producers have amped up their excitement levels with a new update.

The film’s creators revealed on social media that renowned music label ‘Saregama South’ had acquired the audio rights. To be noted, Thaman S. is in charge of the music for the upcoming movie.

Earlier, the makers had promised to unveil the first look poster for the Chiranjeevi starrer, on July 4. As fans eagerly wait for the first look poster, some online reports also suggest that the makers will unveil the release date of ‘Godfather’ along with the first look poster.

The movie is directed by Mohan Raja, and Nayanthara plays the lead female role opposite Chiranjeevi. Salman Khan, Bollywood’s macho man, also has a significant part in this film.
