In 2024 Chandrababu will take oath as CM, reaffirms Lokesh

1

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Friday asserted that Chandrababu Naidu will take oath as the chief minister of the State in May next year.

Addressing a massive public meeting at Kothapeta of Punganuru Assembly segment of Chittoor district during his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’, Lokesh declared that the TDP is going to come back to power and Mr Chandrababu Naidu will be sworn in chief minister in May next.

”The State will be cleansed of all the sins committed by the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government,” Lokesh stated.

Observing that change in their lives is possible only with the yellow flag (the TDP flag is of yellow colour), Lokesh said and called upon the public to hoist the yellow flag. ”I will take the responsibility to put an end to the atrocities being committed by the ruling YSRCP leaders,” he said.

Asking the party activists not to get scared of the false cases being foisted against them, Lokesh said that at least 20 such cases have been filed against him till now. ”All these cases are false and these cases will not deter me from moving ahead and taking on the illegal activities of this Government,” he declared.

Lokesh said that those who are facing such false cases will be felicitated once the TDP is back in power and all such cases will be lifted. He made it clear that if Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, co-operates his will be a pada yatra or it will be an invasion.

Calling upon the people to permanently confine Jagan Reddy to the Tadepalli palace and local MLA, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy to his house, Lokesh said that the MLA has done nothing for the constituency in the past 30 years.

”Hoist the TDP flag in Punganuru and you will personally witness what development means,” he stated.

Lokesh said over 100 farmers have lost their lands due to the Nettiguntapalli reservoir and soon after the TDP is into power, they will get proper compensation. Reaffirming that fear is not in his dictionary, Lokesh said that all sections, including the police force, are the victims of this wicked rule of Jagan.

Lokesh promises more investment if TDP is voted to power

0

The State will witness huge investments within 100 days of the TDP forming the government again, said party general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Thursday.

In a face-to-face programme with representatives of the Muslim community, organised at Damalacheruvu of Chandragiri Assembly segment during the ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’, Lokesh said that during the YSRCP rule, investors are deserting the State leaving the youth unemployed.

”Once the TDP is back in power, I am assuring you all that within 100 days massive investments will be made in the State creating huge employment opportunities, including to Muslim youth,” he said.

Promising the setting up of Islamic bank within one year of coming to power, Mr Lokesh said Karnataka model will be implemented to resolve the DKT pattas issue. Stating that the voters have elected Chevireddy Bhasker Reddy twice, he asked what are the developmental activities that the local MLA has undertaken in these 10 years.

At least 10 Muslims were done to death during the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government, Lokesh said that Ibrahim was murdered in daylight on the streets at Narasaraopet for fighting for masjid lands.

Lokesh said that the TDP never took any kind of negative measures even when the party had an understanding with the BJP. Soon after the TDP forms the government, all the problems of Muslims will be resolved on a war footing basis, Lokesh said.

Earlier, the representatives of the United Teachers Federation (UTF) and the Noble Teachers Association met the TDP national general secretary at the campsite of Gummadivari Indlu of Chandragiri segment. Lokesh said that the Jagan Government is targeting the teaching community and cases are falsely being registered against those who fight for their rights.

This is the only Government in the country that drafted teachers as security guards before liquor shops, Lokesh observed and promised them that all the cases filed against the teachers will be lifted once the TDP comes to power again.

The representatives of the teachers unions complained to Lokesh that the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) arrears, dearness allowance for 2022 have not been paid to them till now. Since the courses in the primary education and secondary education have been reduced it is seriously impacting the academic standards, they informed Lokesh.

Jagan turned AP into ganja capital of India, says Lokesh

0

The Jagan Mohan Reddy Government transformed Andhra Pradesh into ganja capital of India, remarked TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday.

Interacting with youth at Irrangaripalle of Chandragiri Assembly segment, Lokesh said that Andhra Pradesh, which was the job capital of India when Chandrababu Naidu was the chief minister turned into ganja capital of India after Jagan Reddy came to power. ”If you search in Google as the ganja capital of India, the response you get is Andhra Pradesh,” he observed.

Lokesh assured the youth that soon after the TDP forms the government again, the annual job calendar will be announced. ”I am promising you that immediately after the TDP forms the next government investments into the State will pour in. This is my assurance to you,” he told them with a tone of confidence.

Stating that self-employment will be given top priority, Lokesh said that industrial clusters will be set up in all the Assembly segments and SC, ST and BC youth will get special allocations. He also said that the students will be trained in such a way that they will be job-ready youth.

The boys and girls will be trained to respect women by that time they grow, and special syllabus will be introduced from KG to PG, Lokesh noted.

A girl student of B Tech, Anisha, asked what steps the TDP will initiate to bring back the companies that have left the State now. Lokesh replied that Chandrababu Naidu has a track record and he himself is a brand. No investor will come forward to set up a unit in the State after knowing the criminal history of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said, adding that all the necessary measures will be initiated to invite them back and if necessary, lands will be allocated to them.

When another student, Ramji, asked whether the youth should join politics or not, Lokesh said that change in any society will not come on its own or if the youth sit at home. ”You should join politics and raise your voice against any injustice done to any section,” Lokesh maintained.

Earlier, at Gaadanki in Chandragiri Assembly segment, the representatives of Balija community met Lokesh and narrated to him the problems that they are facing. Also, villagers of Kabalivaripalli too met Mr Lokesh on his way of his pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ and asked to take up the drainage issue in the village as they are facing several difficulties now.

Lokesh promised both the Balija community and these villagers that the only solution to resolve their problems is that the psycho Government should go, and the cycle rule should come back to power.

Hike in essentials forcing daily wage earners into starvation, says Lokesh

0

The prices of essential commodities in the State are increasing every day and the daily wage earners like Rajakas, are pushed into starvation, observed TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday.

At the Mamandur campsite in Chandragiri Assembly segment, the locals, particularly belonging to the dhobi community, met Lokesh and poured out their day-to-day problems. They informed Lokesh that the State Government is forcing the dhobhis to pay the revised power charges for using the dhobhi-ghats which has become a heavy burden on them.

They appealed to Lokesh to take up the issue of allocating dhobi-ghats of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams to them as they are now allotted to someone from other States. The members of the Rajaka community demanded that they be allowed to wash clothes at the local ponds.

Lokesh promised to take up all their problems once the TDP is into power again. He said that the main aim of the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is harassing the common man particularly targeting the BC community. Pointing out that the TDP government has formed a committee to study the issue of including the Rajaka community into SCs, Lokesh said that the panel has submitted its report and it is now pending with the Government. Once the TDP is back in power all their demands will be conceded within a short time, he added.

Observing that the Ambedkar Constitution is not in force in the State, but the Raja Reddy constitution is being implemented, Lokesh said that it is the TDP that always strived for the welfare of the Rajaka community. ”What is the use of forming a corporation without allocating funds,” he asked, mentioning the Rajka corporation.

The attack on one Munirajamma, a push-cart vendor and on her husband, Venkatadri, who was working for the temple at Sri Kalahasthi, are evident of the Raja Reddy constitution, he stated. Also, Venkatadri was removed from his job for no fault of his, Lokesh said and assured the couple that the TDP will always stand by them and Venkatadri will be reinstated into the job. ”Why did the local YSRCP leaders try to dismantle the house of this push-cart vendor Munirajamma,” he asked.

Tadepalli palace is feeling shaky with Yuva Galam, says Lokesh

0

Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, is now feeling shaky after knowing the tremendous response to the Yuva Galam pada yatra, said TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, on Monday.

Addressing a public meeting at Thindavada in Chandragiri Assembly segment as part of his 29th day of his pada yatra, Lokesh said ”This coward Chief minister has been taking rest at Tadepalli palace for the past four years but after the resounding response to my pada yatra he started feeling shaky now.”

Stating that he is fortunate enough to address the people here from the footsteps of Lord Venkateswara, Lokesh said that this Chandragiri was once the most famous area during the Sri Krishna Devaraya Dynasty. But today the land, sand, mining, and liquor mafia is ruling this historic place, he said.

”Just before my pada yatra the GO no 1 was issued only to prevent me from addressing the people in the State. Jagan is acting on Government Order but mine is a public order,” he declared with confidence that he has the public support.

Hundreds of policemen and even police vehicles are surrounding him wherever he goes, he said, adding that this will not make him lose confidence. Lokesh said that all the sections of society are suffering in various ways with this inefficient rule.

”The students, teachers, women and even the police officials are the victims of Jagan and he miserably failed to fulfil the promises that he made to them. What happened to the job calendar which he said will be issued every year regularly. The jobless youth have been eagerly waiting for this,” Lokesh said.

What happened to the steel factory for Kadapa and the Amarrajaa Battery company has been chased out by this Government following which 20,000 youth lost their employment, he said. As several companies have launched their units during Chandrababu Naidu regime, Jagan Mohan Reddy is throwing them out, he remarked.

Auto drivers are being harassed by setting targets to traffic police, says Lokesh

0

The Jagan Mohan Reddy government is harassing auto drivers too by fixing targets to the traffic police, observed TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, at Tirupati on Friday.

During the ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’, Lokesh had an interaction with the local auto drivers at the campsite near Ankura Hospital. All the auto drivers complained to Lokesh that their names have been deleted from even the Vahana Mitra scheme benefits since the power bill is more than the fixed limit.

Stating that fines are being imposed on them even for silly reasons and the auto drivers are being subjected to various kinds of harassment. Women auto drivers said that they do not have a seperate auto stand in Tirupati.

Responding to their problems, Lokesh said that since targets are fixed for the traffic police, they are resorting to imposing fines on auto drivers even if they do not violate the traffic rules. Chandrababu Naidu, when he was the chief minister, never fixed such targets to traffic police, he explained.

Lokesh promised them that motor vehicle insurance and other benefits will be extended to them once the TDP forms the government again. Also, electric autos will be supplied to the drivers on subsidy, he said, adding that he will personally take this responsibility.

Lokesh handed over the papers of an auto to one Hamid Pasha, whose auto was seized by the police under the directions from the Minister, Roja. Lokesh gave a new auto to him as a gift.

In the evening, the TDP national general secretary interacted with the youth as part of ‘Hello Lokesh’ programme at the campsite. Earlier he had selfies with several people who wanted to have a photo with him.

Babu should come back to power to rid problems of people, says Lokesh

0

Making it clear that the Constitution has given him the right to interact with people, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Thursday told the local police officials that they have no authority to cause any kind of obstruction to him.

The police pulled his stool standing on which he was addressing the local public at Neelisani Peta as part of his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ on Thursday. The police even told Lokesh that as per the provisions of the GO number 1, issued recently, he should not speak to the public.

‘When the police tried to create obstructions to his interaction with locals at Gajula Mandyam village, an angry Lokesh said that ‘I am not using any mike to interact with the local public. As per the provisions of the Constitution I have every right to speak with the people and you have no authority to stop me,” he told the police officials present there.

The TDP national general secretary told the people that almost all sections, including women, youth and the farmers, are facing some problem or the other and the only solution to solve these problems is that Chandrababu Naidu should become the chief minister again.

”I am here to have first hand information on the issues that you are facing but the police are not allowing me to talk to you,” Lokesh said.

Pointing out that many leaders, including Jagan Mohan Reddy, his sister, Sharmila, and their father, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, undertook pada yatra when Chandrababu Naidu was the chief minister, Lokesh said that they did not face even a single issue during their pada yatras. ”Now, when I address the people even at a remote village, the Tadepalli palace is shivering,” he remarked.

”I will certainly remind Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, about the promises that he made to the people during his pada yatra and which he failed to fulfill. I will also thoroughly expose his misdeeds,” Lokesh said.

Heavy police deployment along Lokesh’s pada yatra route

0

Police forces are deployed heavily at almost all places even as the ongoing pada yatra of TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, ‘Yuva Galam’ entered the Srikalahasti Assembly segment on Friday.

The district police have passed directions that Lokesh should not address the people in the villages during his pada yatra. The Yuva Galam concluded in Satyavedu Assembly segment and entered Byraju Kandrika on Friday in the Srikalahasti segment.

Heavy police deployment is seen in all the villages to prevent Lokesh from addressing the locals. Despite the restrictions, Lokesh moved ahead, interacting with the villagers and even had selfies with his fans.

On the outskirts of Srikalahasti, Lokesh met the beneficiaries of the TIDCO houses. They told Lokesh that 3,552 houses have been sanctioned to the beneficiaries during the TDP rule and 90 per cent construction of these housing units has been completed by the last government.

This Government is not completing the construction of the remaining 10 per cent following which the houses have not been allotted to them, they informed Lokesh and said that they have been paying monthly rents from the megre amounts that they get as wages. They appealed to Lokesh to take the matter to the notice of the Government and see to it that the houses are allotted to them.

Responding to their request, Lokesh said that TDP has launched the TIDCO housing scheme only with a view that common man too should live in a house with a rich look and took up the construction of over 3.13 lakh units across the State. After the YSRCP came to power, it has not completed the incomplete units, Lokesh said and promised to the beneficiaries to hand over the houses once the TDP forms the government.

Later, addressing the public at Srikalahasti, Lokesh said that “Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is getting scared of my pada yatra and the Chief Minister is offering promotions to those who have seized my vehicles.” Observing that Jagan is a coward, Lokesh said that thus he is causing obstructions to pada yatra. He profusely thanked the people for giving him a rousing welcome to Srikalahasti.

Police creating problems to me at every step, says Lokesh

1

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Thursday said the police officials are creating problems to him at every step during his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ and they will have to pay a very heavy price in future for this as the days of the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government are numbered.

Addressing the villagers of KVB Puram of Satyavedu Assembly segment on the 21st day of his ongoing pada yatra Lokesh said that the police seized his sound vehicle and even grabbed his mike.

“I am not bothered about this. Since I am fighting for the people who are facing difficulties at every step, particularly from the police who are acting under directions from the Tadepalli palace, they will have to pay a very heavy price in future,” Lokesh remarked.

Maintaining that the days of the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government are numbered, Lokesh noted that the police officials who reposed faith in the Chief Minister and the DGP will soon realise that both of them will not come to the rescue when they are in trouble.

“The countdown has begun for Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, and the DGP too will be helpless after Jagan is thrown out of power. It is the TDP that will soon be in power again and then you will have to pay a very heavy price for your actions now,” Lokesh maintained.

Making it clear that fear is not in his dictionary, Lokesh challenged Jagan to file any number of cases against him. “My fight is for those people and the police officials who are in trouble. I continue to hold the mike despite being grabbed from me several times,” he said.

Lokesh also talked to the farmers and daily-wage earners who are on work in their agricultural fields to know the problems that they are facing. He also accepted memorandums from many of those who met him.

Jagan implementing Raja Reddy constitution, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday felt that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, was implementing not the Constitution of Dr BR Ambedkar but the statue of his grandfather, late Raja Reddy.

Lokesh, during his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ had a meeting with several Dalit representatives from the Satyavedu Assembly segment at the Keelapudi campsite. When the Dalit representatives complained to Lokesh, he responded that the YSRCP leaders were forcibly occupying the lands of Dalits. He promised to implement the Karnataka model once the TDP forms the government again and will work for the uplift of the whole community.

Training centres will be set up to sharpen the knowledge of Dalit youth, Lokesh said, adding that all the lands that were illegally occupied by the YSRCP leaders will be handed over back to the persons concerned. What attracted the Dalit representatives more is that Lokesh promised to release the job calendar regularly and all the vacancies will be filled once the TDP is back in power.

Lokesh was very particular about the support by Jagan Mohan Reddy to Amaravathi before elections but after assuming power he totally changed tax and now says that three capitals will be formed. ”What does this mean except cheating the people of the State,” he asked.

Now a Minister in the Cabinet, Buggana Rajendranath, says that Jagan has no proper understanding about the capital and the State will have a single capital and it is going to be Visakhapatnam. Buggana also made it clear that Kurnool is not going to be the judicial capital. What all is this except creating a sort of confusion among the people, Lokesh asked.

At Venkat Reddy Kandriga, Lokesh had an interaction with women where he mentioned another cabinet minister, Roja’s warning to him. ”This Jabardast aunty says that I am humiliating women if I talk about corruption. Such comments apply to Jagan but not to me,” he said.

It is Roja’s who has humiliated women but not any TDP leader, he remarked and said that he will certainly teach a lesson to such leaders once the TDP is back in the government. ”You tell me your problems and I will try to find solutions to them ‘,” he said.

Lokesh felt that illicit liquor is being sold freely in the State and it is claiming several lives. ”Chandranna vaccine is the only remedy for the State now,” Lokesh remarked.

Faction mindset of Jagan destroying future of youth, says Lokesh

0

The future of the State, particularly the youth, is getting destroyed with the faction mentality of Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, said TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Saturday.

Lokesh performed special poojas at the Lord Abhaya Anjaneya temple at SR Puram before beginning his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ on Saturday. Later, at the campsite on the precincts of the Lord Hanuman temple, Lokesh had an interaction with the representatives of the Yadava community.

Since there is no assistance from the Government to set up small industries in the State, the future of the youth is thrown into oblivion, Lokesh said and added that the students from the Backward Classes (BCs) community are not getting their scholarships. Lokesh promised to take all necessary measures once the TDP forms the government again and women will be given special allocation of funds in the BC Corporation.

Observing that the BC Corporation was set up during the TDP regime only for the uplift of the community, Lokesh said that ” Jagan could not digest if the Yadavas got strengthened financially.”

“It is easy to talk about social justice, but it is very difficult to implement it,” Lokesh observed. Social injustice was done to the BCs after Jagan Reddy became the Chief Minister, he remarked.

The ST Colony residents also met Lokesh and narrated the problems that they are facing after the YSRCP came to power. They complained that they do not have permanent residence and that they are not getting any loans from the Government or ST Corporation.

“We are not getting even Pelli Kanuka (wedding gift) and the age for payment of pension is increased to 60,” they informed Lokesh.

The TDP general secretary addressed the locals without using a mike. “I am not a terrorist and the TDP never created any kind of problems to either Jagan or to his father, late YS Rajasekhara Reddy when they were on pada yatra during the TDP regime,” he recalled.

The Yuva Galam pada yatra suddenly picked up momentum with those who are walking along with Lokesh are seen showing more interest in the pada yatra. Lokesh is also seen exhibiting more interest in his programme.

TDP to ‘rebuild AP’ after coming to power, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Friday said that the State will be reconstructed with the ‘rebuild Andhra Pradesh’ slogan once the party’s government is formed again.

The businessmen from Gangadhara Nellore who settled in Bengaluru met Lokesh at Renukapuram camp site in Gangadhara Nellore Assembly segment during his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’.

Talking to them Lokesh said that “I am assuring all of you that once the TDP government is formed again a single-window system will be introduced to sanction licences to all the businessmen and industrialists so that they will not face any problems from the government angle.”

Observing that the businessmen and the industrialists are running out of AP for fear of facing the ‘J’ tax and other problems, Lokesh said that 20,000 employees from Rayalaseema lost their jobs as the Amara Raja Battery shifted its unit from the State to neighbouring Telangana. The Jacky company too was chased out from Anantapur district by the local MLA as the company could not meet the MLA’s demand for commissions, he observed.

The whole system got destroyed during the YSRCP rule, Lokesh said, adding that the foreign investors are not at all looking towards Andhra Pradesh now. “Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has completely mortgaged the State for his personal gains, totally hampering the future of the youth,” the TDP leader maintained.

At Yeguva Kamma Kandriga, Lokesh along with the sugarcane farmers ploughed the land. The farmers complained to Lokesh that the YSRCP government is harassing them in various ways and that they are getting ready to migrate to other States as they are unable to bear the harassment.

Promising them that the TDP will initiate all measures to come to their rescue once the party forms its government again, Lokesh asked them to just wait for another one year.

At Kapu Kandriga, the TDP general secretary had an interaction with the local Scheduled Caste (SC) representatives. “I am here to personally interact with you to know your problems personally. It is the TDP that is going to come back to power in the coming polls and we will take all measures for the welfare of the SCs,” he said.

Lokesh also promised them that their lands that are now grabbed by the politicians, to whichever party they belong, will be handed over back to them. The welfare schemes that are now discontinued will be relaunched, Lokesh said and also promised to announce job calendars regularly with the appointments to be made systematically.

Academic system was destroyed during YSRCP rule, says Lokesh

0

Representatives of several private school managements on Thursday met TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, and explained to him the problems that they have been facing for the past four years, including non-renewal of the licences of their institutions.

The private educational institutions representatives told Lokesh that the conditions laid down by the YSRCP Government to renew the licences of their institutions for every three years is causing untold hardships to them.

”When the TDP was in power the renewal was for every 10 years but now as per the new guidelines we should renew it for every three years. We have to make several rounds to the offices for the renewal,” they informed Lokesh.

They appealed to Lokesh to take up the issue of the renewal like earlier for which the TDP general secretary promised to fight for their cause. Stating that the YSRCP Government has totally destroyed the academic sector, Lokesh said that once the TDP government is formed again all the problems of the private educational institutions will be resolved.

Observing that the managements of the private educational institutions are being subjected to various kinds of harassment, including imposing the ‘J’ tax on them, he said that the power charges too will be brought down to them when the TDP is back in the government.

Later, at Aval Konda of GD Nellore Assembly segment, Lokesh inaugurated the Aaja Khane e-Jehra Darga built by the Abbasia Charitable Trust. Later, addressing the gathering, Lokesh said that he is undertaking the pada yatra only to have first hand information on the problems that they are facing and also find a better solution to resolve them.

Having come to know personally the problems being faced by the Muslim community, he promised to take all the necessary measures to resolve them soon after the TDP is back in power.

The TDP will certainly come to the rescue of the Muslim community and will work for their uplift both economically and politically, he said.

With regard to the local issues, Lokesh said that once the TDP forms the government, all the issues will be addressed within 100 days. ”All your problems will be addressed on a war footing basis,” he stated.

Police seize mike from TDP activist at Lokesh meeting

1

The local police created obstructions to the ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ of TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, at Samsireddy Palle on Thursday.

The police attacked and grabbed the mike from a TDP activist, Mr Bhasha, who sustained injuries in the mele. The police even attempted to push Lokesh down the bench on which he was standing to address the local party activists.

This resulted in a fierce argument between the police and the TDP activists while Lokesh continued his protest by standing on his bench. ”What right do the police have to create hurdles to Lokesh in our village,” the villagers asked.

Carrying a copy of the Indian Constitution, Lokesh questioned the police as to how they can violate the fundamental right of a citizen. He continued his protest till the police officials left the scene and allowed him to address the gathering.

Chandrababu knows all farmers problems, says Lokesh

0

Former chief minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, comes from a farmer’s family and thus he has a thorough knowledge about the problems being faced by the farming community, said TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday.

The local farmers at Krishnapuram in Chittoor Assembly segment met Mr Lokesh during his pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’. The TDP general secretary said, ‘My grandfather, who encouraged my father in academic and other sectors and thus he has complete knowledge on all issues and he always thinks about the welfare of the farming community.”

Recalling that Chandrababu, as the chief minister, was holding repeated review meetings with then minister for Agriculture, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, he felt that agriculture is now remunerative now.

Chandrababu encourage agriculture and allied sectors on a massive scale but now Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, who came to power by making several promises to the farmers, did not fulfil even a single one.

“On the other hand, the Chief Minister is harassing the farmers by installing meters to motor pump-sets following which the farming sector is in deep crisis now,” Lokesh observed. Why the ongoing works of the Handri-Neeva project are not being taken up, he asked and said that the sugarcane farmers are facing a lot of difficulties now.

Farmers never resorted to suicide due to harassment by the government during the Chandrababu regime, Lokesh said and pointed out that Andhra Pradesh is now in the third position in farmers suicides.

“I am assuring you all that whenever the TDP government is formed again all your problems will be resolved on a war-footing basis,” Lokesh told the farmers.

Cold-storage plants will be set up and crop insurance will be revived and the Annadatha Sukhibhava scheme that is withdrawn now too will be reintroduced, Lokesh said. “The basic problem now is that neither the Chief minister nor the Minister for Agriculture has any knowledge about agriculture” he remarked.

” Minister for Agriculture, Kakani Goverdhan Reddy, is summoned by the CBI and he is now in a hurry to appear before this Central agency. Thus, he is unable to focus on the problems of farmers,” Lokesh stated.

The farming is in crisis now as the Government, which is supposed to take the responsibility from providing input subsidy to MSP, has totally forgotten its responsibility,” he remarked.

The TDP will certainly abide by the promises it makes to any section, including farmers, he said and called upon the farming community not to walk into the trap of the Chief Minister again. “The thief again will approach you but do not walk into his trap,” Lokesh said.

BCs got real independence only after NTR floated TDP, says Lokesh

0

The Backward Classes (BCs) in AP got real independence only after 1983 when the late NT Rama Rao formed the TDP and because of that great leader the community persons have grown politically in the State, observed party general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday.

Lokesh had an interaction with the BC representatives at Diguva Masanapalli in Chittoor Assembly segment as part of his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuvagalam’. Lokesh told the BC representatives that the TDP national president and former chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu’s sole aim is that the BCs should no longer suffer from poverty.

Recalling that the Chandrababu Naidu government had spent Rs 29,000 cr for BC welfare through the sub-plan only to encourage professionals’ occupations, he said that in the first phase Rs 1,000 cr was spent under Adarana scheme. Of the 16 universities in the State, BCs have been appointed as vice-chancellors for nine universities, he said.

“The chairman of the Finance Commission, TTD and the AP Industrial and Infrastructure Corporation were all BCs,” Lokesh said and added that the Overseas Education scheme too was introduced only to encourage the students from the community for further studies.

But, this Jagan Mohan Reddy Government has withdrawn all such schemes and is not at all encouraging their foreign studies, he remarked.

Lokesh promised to revive all the schemes that are withdrawn now once the TDP is back in the government again and the TDP will take the responsibility to encourage the BCs both politically and economically, he stated. The 34 per cent reservation for the community too will be revived, he noted.

Maintaining that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, who promised BC status for Valmikis and Rajakas, failed to fulfil it thus cheating both the communities, he said and asked whether the BCs are not eligible to become vice-chancellors or to hold any such post.

Lokesh mentioned that Deputy Chief Minister Narayana Swamy, who belongs to Chittoor district and a BC, is not eligible to sit next to any Reddy leader. Is this social justice, he asked.

I will introduce fear to Jagan, says Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh on Tuesday said that he would introduce fear to chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Speaking as part of his 12th day Yuvagalam padayatra, Lokesh said that Jagan Mohan Reddy was already in grip of fear. He said that the chief minister was not coming out of his Tadepalli place only out of fear. Even if he came out, he was moving in the shades of curtains and closed streets, the TDP general secretary said.

The TDP leader said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had failed on all fronts and people have started questioning him. He said that the chief minister had not released the job calendar in the last two years though he said that he would release the job calendar every January.

Besides not being able to release the job calendar, the chief minister was also not able to pay the salaries for the employees, Lokesh said. The government employees were waiting for weeks together for their salaries every month. In some departments, salaries were paid once in three months, Lokesh said.

The TDP leader further said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had failed to impose total prohibition and increase the pension to Rs 3000 a month. He accused the chief minister of making huge money out of liquor sales. He said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had betrayed the women of the state by going back on the promise of total prohibition.

Jagan Mohan Reddy had also betrayed the aged people by not increasing the pension to Rs 3000 a month as promised during the election campaign.

Thousands of the contractors across the state were also betrayed as their bills were not cleared by Jagan Mohan Reddy for the past three years.

Stating that Jagan Mohan Reddy had ruined the state in the last three years, Lokesh alleged that the chief minister had looted the state exchequer and betrayed youth, women and aged people, besides making the government employees suffer for want of their salaries.

Lokesh said that he would introduce fear to the betrayer Jagan Mohan Reddy with the support of the youth, women, pensioners and the government employees in the state.

Lokesh confident of TDP coming back to power in AP

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday expressed confidence that the party will certainly come back to power in the State as the people are fed up with the style of functioning of Chief Minister, JaganMohan Reddy.

Addressing a public meeting as part of his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’, Lokesh said that Jagan Reddy lost the people’s confidence, and the countdown has begun for the YSRCP Government. Once the TDP government is formed again the problems of all sections will be resolved on a war footing basis, he said.

“Jagan is unable to move among the people while the TDP leaders are moving among the public freely as we have their support,” Lokesh said, adding that with the blessings of the people the Yuva Galam is a success. He asked as to why Jagan is afraid of the TDP and why attempt to murder cases were registered against students just because they supported the TDP.

Lokesh said that soon after the TDP comes back to power judicial inquiry will be ordered against the officials who filed cases against the TDP activists violating the norms. “I will see to it that Jagan will not come out of his house after 2024,” Lokesh said.

Observing that Chandrababu Naidu as the chief minister of the State strived hard for the welfare of the people, TDP general secretary said that Chandrbabu provided over six jobs to the youth by inviting investors to set up their units in the State. Lokesh termed Chandrababu as a brand who introduced decentralisation to the State.

Jagan cheated the youth by not fulfilling his promise of releasing the job calendar every year, he said and added that he mortgaged the Special Category Status to the Centre to escape from his cases. Even the promise made to the SC, ST women to provide pension to them has not been fulfilled, Lokesh remarked.

Jagan has no faith in judicial system, says Lokesh

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, and his government do not have faith in the judicial system, felt TDP general secretary and former minister, Nara Lokesh, on Monday.

Several young advocates from Chittoor walked along with Lokesh during his pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ on Monday and wanted Lokesh to initiate steps for setting up a law academy at Chittoor once the TDP comes back into power. This will be of great help for the young advocates for sharpening their professional skills, they informed Lokesh.

They also wanted free medical assistance for the families of the advocates who are struggling to earn their livelihood. The advocates also wanted house-sites to be allotted to them at the government rates and Rs 5,000 per month be paid as honorarium be paid for young advocates by appointing them as government pleaders.

The advocates wanted the Rs 40.32 cr funds allotted to Chittoor court complex be released immediately and the construction also should be completed soon.

Lokesh felt that the Jagan Mohan Reddy government is adopting a vengeful attitude towards the judicial system and even the judges are not given proper respect. Some comments on judges are being posted on social media by YSRCP senior leaders and are facing CBI inquiry on this, he said.

Lokesh demanded that the Rs 100 cr allocated for the welfare of the advocates be released immediately and promised to complete the construction of the Chittoor court complex soon after the TDP is in power again. He assured the advocates that all the necessary welfare measures will also be taken.

Jagan miserably failed to implement the total prohibition that he promised, Lokesh said and asked how many cases will be filed against him by the time he completes his pada yatra.

The workers of Chandranna Bheema and Abhaya Hastam met Lokesh during his pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ and informed him that about 1200 workers who were extending their services to these schemes were removed from service after the 2019 elections.

“We worked hard for the success of the Chandranna Bheema scheme and other such welfare programmes and extended our services promptly,” they informed Mr Lokesh.

They said that even minimum wages are not being paid for them following which they are affected with various kinds of health issues.

Even they are affected with cancer and tuberculosis since they have to work with tobacco and a major portion of their earnings are being spent on health problems, they told Lokesh. The beedi workers wanted Lokesh to take their problems like holiday on weekends and 80 days annual paid holidays for women workers. Also, they wanted facilities like ESI, health cards and provident fund besides pucca houses.

Expressing serious concern over the problems being faced by the beedi workers, Lokesh said that the TDP will take all the measures for the welfare of beedi workers once the TDP is back in power and pucca houses will be built for them.
