TDP will fulfil all promises made to jobless youth, says Lokesh

“In order to help the jobless youth our leader, TDP president, N Chandrababu Naidu, has announced Rs 3,000 as unemployment allowance per month and we will certainly fulfil the promise immediately after forming the coming government. Also, a job calendar will be released every year to fill the vacant posts in various government wings,” said TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Thursday.

Observing that Jagan Mohan Reddy has come to power by making false promises to the people, particularly the unemployed youth, Lokesh pointed out that 470 youth resorted to suicide as they got totally depressed and disappointed since Jagan did not take any initiative to fill the vacant posts.

“I am making a promise now that soon after the TDP forms the next government industrialists and IT companies will be invited to set up their units in the State thus providing about 20 lakh jobs,” Lokesh told the youth who met him at the temple of Lord Anjaneya in Proddatur during his pada yatra.

Expressing serious concern that the coaching taken by the youth to appear for competitive exams by spending thousands of rupees has become a mere waste, Lokesh said that the coming TDP government will certainly come to the rescue of the jobless youth.

The TDP general secretary made an appeal to the younger generation to extend their cooperation to bring back Chandrababu Naidu as the chief minister.

Earlier on his entering Proddatur town, Lokesh was given a rousing reception by the locals, the TDP leaders and party activists. To have a glimpse of Lokesh, the locals gathered in large numbers and massive crowds are seen on either side of the road as Lokesh is on his pada yatra. Many people tried to talk to him to bring the local issues to his notice.

The representatives of Budaga Jangalu community, in a memorandum submitted to Lokesh complained that though the JC Sarma Committee, constituted in 2019 has submitted its report in 2020 the panel recommendations have not been accepted yet. They sought the TDP’s cooperation for their struggle for self-respect, social justice and recognition in the political arena.

Lokesh to adopt handloom sector in AP

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has thrown out his own mother and sister did injustice to his motherland, Kadapa district too, observed Lokesh, TDP general secretary, on Wednesday.

Lokesh, who had a close interaction with handloom workers at the Devagudi campsite of Jammalamadugu Assembly segment during his Yuva Galam pada yatra, said that almost all sections of people are victims of various kinds of harassment during Jagan’s rule and the handloom workers are no exception. The Chief Minister is not finding time even to conduct a review meeting on the problems being faced by the handloom workers, Lokesh said and announced that he is adopting the whole handloom sector in the State.

Stating that the existing five per cent GST on the sector too will be lifted by the coming TDP government, Lokesh also promised to allot TIDCO houses to them and build common working sheds. “I am assuring you that the Chandranna Bheema scheme will be reintroduced once the TDP is back in power and we will certainly come to the rescue of all those who are dependent on the handloom sector, including farmers, master-weavers and other workers,” the TDP general secretary added.

Pointing out that the TDP had earlier extended various kinds of benefits to the handloom workers like loan waiver to the tune of Rs 110 cr, Lokesh said that now even the Apco is virtually not in existence now. Immediately after the TDP forms the next government clusters will be set up for the workers and training centers too will be established, he added.

Later, the Salivendula villagers expressed their displeasure over the existing Government as not even basic amenities like roads, drainage and toilets were provided for them. “Jagan completely diverted the Rs 8660 cr funds meant for village development thus totally neglecting the rural areas and the situation has come to such a pass that the villages do not have funds even to buy bleaching powder,” Lokesh remarked responding to the villagers’ complaint. “I am promising you that once the TDP is into power again the villages will be given top priority,” he added.

Lokesh’s pada yatra entered the Proddatur Assembly segment from Jammalamadugu. He is received by TDP local incharge, Praveen Reddy, former MLAs, Veerasiva Reddy and Varadarajulu Reddy and senior TDP leader, CM Suresh Naidu besides others.

Lokesh promises Islamic bank for Muslims

TDP general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh on Tuesday said that the TDP would create Islamic Bank for the welfare of the Muslims. Addressing a meeting at Jammalamadugu as part of his padayatra, Lokesh criticised chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, for neglecting the welfare of the Muslim minorities. He said that the TDP government after the 2024 elections would restore all welfare schemes for every section.

He alleged that the Jagan government also withdrew 27 welfare schemes for the SCs and cancelled all welfare schemes for the BCs. He said that the TDP regime would bring new legislation to protect the BCs from atrocities and crime against them. He also blamed Jagan for withdrawing reservations for the BCs and said that the TDP government would reintroduce the reservations.

He criticised Jagan for claiming himself as the poor man and wondered how a person having Rs 1 lakh crore worth properties is called poor. Lokesh alleged that Jagan had destroyed the state and neglected every section. Jagan and his men have benefited in the last four years, while the state and the people have lost heavily, he said.

Lokesh called upon the people to defeat Jagan in the next elections and bring the TDP back to power. He said former chief minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu is a visionary leader and a state like Andhra Pradesh should have a visionary as the chief minister.

The TDP government had created huge properties for the state after the bifurcation, Lokesh said and alleged that Jagan had destroyed it all. He reiterated that the TDP government would restore the development and provide employment to every youth in the state.

In Rayalaseema I saw only a regime sans peasants, says Lokesh

0

“Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, before elections promised to bring in the farmers dynasty (Rythu Rajyam) in the State. I have been on my pada yatra in Rayalaseema region for the past 108 days and I could only see a regime without peasants,” maintained Lokesh, TDP general secretary, on Wednesday.

Lokesh, during his Yuva Galam pada yatra on Wednesday, had an interaction with the displaced of the Gandikota and Rajoli reservoirs and the local farmers at Suddapalli of Jammalamadugu Assembly segment of Kadapa district.

“Jagan visited the Gandikota reservoir in 2020 and promised to do justice to the displaced. If he can spend a mere Rs 200 cr all the problems can be resolved. But the displaced were forced to vacate their places overnight with the help of the police. When the Chief Minister could not do justice to the farmers in his own district, how could the peasants in other areas expect assistance from him,” Lokesh asked.

Assuring the displaced that immediately after the TDP comes back to power proper compensation will be paid to the project displaced, Lokesh said that employment opportunities too will be provided to them by setting up some small scale industries in their areas.

“I am aware that the farmers are not getting back even their investments as the prices of seeds and fuel have gone up while the input subsidy is no longer available,” the TDP general secretary added.

Maintaining that before he completes his pada yatra in Rayalaseema he will certainly announce what the TDP is planning for the region, Lokesh felt that the region should also have tomato and mango processing units.

This Government is totally neglecting the villages and the panchayats have been completely crippled. Roads and bridges that were constructed during the TDP regime are still in the same shape and there is no further development, Lokesh said.

All these issues apart, the Jagan Government very soon is going to fix meters to motors which will prove very expensive to the farming community, he felt. Lokesh also promised to complete the bridge from Sajjaladinne to Sankepalli.

TIDCO houses are testimony of TDP’s commitment towards poor, says Lokesh

0

The houses built under the Andhra Pradesh Township and Infrastructure Corporation (TIDCO) are a clear testimony for the commitment of the TDP towards providing houses to the poor, observed party general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday.

After visiting the TIDCO houses at Allagedda during his Yuva Galam pada yatra, Lokesh dared Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, to come out with details on the houses that he has built for the poor in the past four years. Referring to the recent statement made by Jagan that he is building townships but not houses, Lokesh asked “Can the Chief Minister claim that he has built at least 10 houses for the poor in the whole State in the past four years,” he asked.

Jagan has till now built only five houses in the State while Chandrababu Naidu, as the chief minister of the State has the credit of building 3,000 houses in Allagadda alone and 3.13 lakh housing units across the State, the TDP general secretary remarked. “The YSRCP leaders are shamelessly applying their party colours to the houses built during the TDP regime,” he said.

Earlier at the Allagadda campsite, the local advocates in a memorandum appealed to Lokesh to honour the Sribagh pact by the coming TDP government and set up a High Court bench at Kurnool. They also sought sanction of funds for constructing a building for Allagadda Bar Association and allotment of house-sites for the advocates.

“The TDP has the highest regard for advocates and the judicial system and we never change tack like Jagan. I am assuring you all that the coming TDP government will certainly set up a High Court bench at Kurnool and also house-sites will be allotted to the eligible advocates besides sanction of loans to them to build houses,” Lokesh told the advocates.

Lokesh promises linking of Kundu river with KC canal

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has been keeping in pending even the works that can be completed with minimum funds and soon after the TDP forms the next government the Kundu river will be linked with the Kurnool-Kadapa (KC) Canal to resolve all the irrigation problems in the area, said TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Monday.

The farmers from Ramachadrapuram under KC Canal met Lokesh during his pada yatra and in a memorandum submitted to him mentioned that since their village is at the tag-end of the canal they are not getting irrigation water. If the Kundu river, which is very close to their village, is linked to the KC Canal the irrigation problems of not only their village but also 30 surrounding villages will be resolved, they said in the memorandum.

“It is really unfortunate that the farmers in the village, which is very close to the Kundu river, are facing such problems. Irrigation has taken a back seat in the YSRCP rule and once the TDP is back in power in the coming polls the linking of Kundu river with the KC Canal will be taken up,” Lokesh said.

Earlier before beginning his Yuva Galam pada yatra on Monday, Lokesh had an interaction with the representatives of Balija community at the Dornipadu campsite. The TDP general secretary pointed out that the TDP strived hard for the uplift of the Balija community but now the community has become a victim in the hands of Jagan.

Several leaders from Mangalagiri Assembly segment joined the TDP at the campsite in the presence of Lokesh. Welcoming them into the party, Lokesh asked them to work hard to bring the TDP back to power.

Our’s is cycle rule while Jagan’s is psycho rule, says Lokesh

0

“TDP supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is a champion while Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is a Saturn and our’s is a cycle rule but Jagan’s is a psycho rule,” remarked TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Saturday.

Addressing a huge public meeting during his Yuva Galam pada yatra at Banaganapalle, Lokesh felt that he is fortunate enough to have his pada yatra on this holy land where the great saint, Sri Potuluri Veerabrahmendra Swamy, who authored the prophecy, ‘Kalagnanam’.

The Yuva Galam is the voice of the people and the public strength, the TDP general secretary remarked and said that the people have got sufficient water during the Chandrababu Naidu regime while now they are crying.

Stating that Jagan shamelessly publicised himself to be a poor leader, Lokesh asked as to how a person who owns one lakh crore worth of property can call himself as poor. “How can a person who wears Rs 1 lakh worth of chappals and consumes Rs 1,000 worth of water bottle be poor,” he asked.

Jagan has one palace in Bengaluru, one in Hyderabad, one in Tadepalli, one in Idupulapaya and now building one more palace in Visakhapatnam, the TDP national leader said and added that besides these palaces, the Chief Minister has cement companies, power plants and media houses.

“I am throwing a challenge to Jagan. Distribute Rs 90,000 cr worth of properties to the public and then I agree that he is poor,” he observed.

Maintaining that the TDP agenda is to build a State without poverty, Lokesh felt that there is a silent revolution in the State to defeat Jagan in the coming polls. The Aarogyasri is no longer in force while there is no mention of the promise to build houses for the poor, he said.

Though the voters of Kurnool elected only three TDP MLAs in 2014, the Chandrababu regime has taken measures for establishing an airport, mega solar park, mega seed park and cement factories in the district, Lokesh said and called upon the people to get elected 14 MLAs from the TDP and the party will take the district to number one position.

If you want development support TDP, says Lokesh

0

All the systems got completely destroyed during the YSRCP Government and if people want development, they should support the TDP, said TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday.

People of various walks of life, including women and youth gathered in large numbers on either side of the roads as Lokesh’s was on his Yuva Galam pada yatra on Nandyal roads. Those gathered to have a glimpse of Lokesh wished him all success in his endeavour while the TDP general secretary too reciprocated in a similar manner.

“I am happy to see you all here and my sincere request to you is that if you want the State to progress well is support the TDP. The State has already touched the rock bottom level in all aspects and we should all realise this fact,” Lokesh observed.

At the Saibaba temple the representatives of Bondili community met Mr Lokesh and made an appeal to him to seriously look into their problems. They also wanted the community to be given Backward Classes (B) recognition.

”As soo as the TDP forms the next government, all your problems will be resolved, and I am assuring you that funds will be allocated to the Bondili Corporation. The issue of giving BC status to you also will be taken up,” he told the community representatives.

Earlier when Goldsmith community leaders, in a memorandum submitted to Lokesh wanted pucca houses for them he promised to seriously look into the demand. Lokesh wanted the Goldsmiths to develop their skills to meet the increasing demands of their customers and promised to set up a skill development centre at all the district headquarters towns once the TDP is back in power.

Democracy won on faction rule with quashing of GO 1, says Lokesh

0

The quashing of the GO 1 by the High Court earlier in the day has once again proved that democracy has ultimately succeeded on the faction rule in the State, remarked TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, here on Friday.

On learning about the High Court order on dismissing the GO 1 during his Yuva Galam pada yatra, Lokesh’s immediate reaction is that the Ambedkar Constitution has once again proved beyond doubt that the Raja Reddy constitution is not valid. “Democracy ultimately won on the faction regime,” Lokesh felt.

Earlier, during his pada yatra Lokesh met women farm workers at Krishnaraopet of Nandikotkur Assembly constituency in Nandyal district who informed him that with the heavy rise in the prices of essential commodities they are finding it difficult to make both ends meet with the meagre wages that they are earning on daily basis.

Observing that the prices of all essentials have gone up during the YSRCP rule, Lokesh promised them that as soon as the TDP forms the government again the prices of all commodities will be brought down.

When a woman, Chinnakka, of Tummuluru said that her pension had been stopped 10 months ago as her son, who is staying in Hyderabad owns a four-wheeler, Lokesh expressed surprise. “How can the pension of this woman be stopped as her son, who is in Hyderabad, owns a car,” Lokesh asked.

The TDP general secretary also promised the farmers from Tummaluru, who met him during the pada yatra, that all the possible steps will be taken by the coming TDP government to supply irrigation water to their agricultural lands by removing the silt in the KC Canal.

When the women workers of the Employment Guarantee Scheme complained that the local officials are insisting on face recognition system, Lokesh asked as to how Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has been hiding in the Tadepalli Palace for the past four years without showing his face to the public, can ask the face recognition of these workers. He promised to revise the wages of these workers once the TDP is back in power.

Observing that the Jagan Reddy Government is adopting a vengeful attitude towards Muslim minorities, Lokesh told the representatives of the community, who met him, that all the welfare schemes that were in force earlier will be relaunched.

Next TDP govt will encourage women to become entrepreneurs, says Lokesh

0

The Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is not only neglecting women’s welfare completely in the State but also harassing them in various ways, observed Nara Lokesh, TDP general secretary, on Thursday.

During his Yuva Galam pada yatra on Thursday, the villagers of Mandlem and Tangadancha of Nandikotkur Assembly segment met Lokesh and informed him that there is no subsidy for various welfare schemes for women after the YSRCP came to power. They also wanted the Chandranna Pelli Kanuka to be revived soon after the TDP came back to power and 75 per cent subsidy be provided for women to set up small scale industries.

Promising them that all the pending projects in Rayalaseema will be completed soon after the TDP assumes charge in the coming elections, Lokesh said that the Chandranna Pelli Kanuka will certainly be brought back to provide financial assistance for all sections.

“Particularly women will be encouraged to become entrepreneurs and all possible assistance will be extended to them to set up their own units. Women should provide employment to others and that is my wish,” Lokesh maintained.

Stating that the TDP is committed for the welfare of the SCs, Lokesh said that soon after the TDP is back in power job opportunities will be increased in public, private and other sectors to check unemployment. Pointing out that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, did not keep his promise of declaring job calendar every year due to which they unemployment rate is growing by the day, Lokesh expressed serious concern that as a result of which the youth is likely to take a wrong path and get addicted to drugs like ganja.

Earlier, the villagers of Tarthuru made an appeal to Lokesh to sanction a lift irrigation facility for their village. They also complained that with the influence of the Executive Officer (EO) of the TTD who is the uncle of the local sarpanch, false cases are being registered against them and requested them to lift all such cases soon after the TDP is back in government.

Assuring them that all such fake cases will be lifted, Lokesh said that not only lift irrigation facilities will be provided to the villagers but also the drinking water problem too will be solved. “Filing such false cases against the victims is the speciality of Raja Reddy constitution,” Lokesh remarked.

In an interaction held with the members of the Backward Classes communities at Tarigopula Cross during his pada yatra, Mr Lokesh said that soon after the TDP is into ruling again BCs will be provided all sorts of assistance.

Lokesh promises to clear all pending bills of sarpanches

0

Observing that the YSRCP Government has turned out to be a bane for panchayats and sarpanches in the State, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, here on Wednesday promised to clear all the pending bills of sarpanches immediately after the TDP is into power.

The sarpanches of Nandikotkur mandal, in a memorandum submitted to Loeksh during his ongoing Yuva Galam pada yatra at Konetammapalli Cross pointed out that the bills for the works executed by them have been pending since long die to which they are facing a lot of problems.

“The YSRCP Government has become a bane for the panchayats and the sarpanches and without releasing funds for them the State Government is totally weakening them,” Lokesh commented.

Maintaining that some sarpanches are resorting to suicides as they are not getting the bills cleared for the works that they had executed by taking loans, Lokesh pointed out that the Rs 8,600 cr funds meant for the panchayats have been diverted by the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government. “The suicide of a woman sarpanch in Prakasam district, Dhanalakshmi, comes under this caregory,” he noted.

Promising them that soon after the TDP forms the government again all the pending bills of the sarpanches will be cleared, the TDP national general secretary also assured them that the pending works of the Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravathi will also be taken up. In a bid to repose confidence among the sarpanches, Lokesh said that all the pending works like construction of roads and cold storage plans too will be taken up by the coming TDP regime.

Earlier, on the pada yatra entering the Nandikotkur Assembly segment, the local TDP leaders and party activists gave a warm welcome to Lokesh. On entering the Yuva Galam in Nandikotkur, the local Dalit representatives met him at Brahmanakotkur and submitted a memorandum to him in which they narrated their cup of woes.

When the Muslim minority community representatives met Lokesh and explained to hima s to how they are suffering in this Government, the TDP national leader said that not even a single section is happy in this Government. Observing that the State is now witnessing Taliban-type rule, Lokesh assured them that the coming TDP government will bear the entire expenditure of their Haj yatra.

Lokesh demands subsidy to Haj pilgrims

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday demanded that the Haj pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh be given some subsidy.

In a letter addressed to Chief Secretary, Jawahar Reddy, and released to the media during his Yuva Galam pada yatra on Tuesday, Lokesh pointed out that the additional burden on every Haj pilgrim from Andhra Pradesh is Rs 83,000 compared to those who are on Haj yatra from Hyderabad.

“During the TDP regime, we ensured that each Haj pilgrim should have an expenditure of Rs 2.40 lakh but after the YSRCP came to power it has been increased to Rs 3,88,580 while the expenditure for each Haj pilgrim from Hyderabad is only Rs 3,05,000,” Lokesh said in the letter. This clearly indicates that each pilgrim from the State has to bear an additional burden of Rs 83,000 Lokesh said and demanded that this amount be given as subsidy for the Haj pilgrims.

The Yuva Galam pada yatra of Lokesh entered Kodumur Assembly segment and the Venkayapalli Dalits met the TDP national general secretary and complained to him that the SC sub-plan funds have been diverted and they are not getting any subsidised welfare schemes, including the vehicles.

Promising them that soon after the TDP forms the government again, stringent action will be initiated against those who filed false cases against Dalits, Lokesh said that all the welfare schemes that are discontinued by this Government will also be revived, including the Ambedkar Videsi Vidya. The Study Circles too will be relaunched, he said, adding that agricultural implements too will be provided on high subsidy.

The villagers of Nuthireddypalli informed Lokesh that the works for the roads sanctioned for the village by the earlier TDP government have not been taken up after the YSRCP came to power and the under-ground drainage system is very bad in their village. Observing that Jagan is totally neglecting rural development, Loeksh assured the villagers that all the damaged roads will be repaired after the TDP is back in power and the repairs for the drainage system too will be taken up.

Lokesh promises HC bench in Kurnool

0

“The TDP never goes back on its promises made to any section of people and I am assuring you that once the party is into power again, a High Court bench will certainly be set up in Kurnool,” said TDP general secretary Nara Loeksh, on Monday.

The local advocates met Loeksh during his Yuva Galam pada yatra before the District Court Complex in Kurnool and complained that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, shifted the Judicial Academy sanctioned for Kurnool and did not keep the promise that the High Court will be shafted to this district headquarters.

The advocates also pointed out that the State Government has filed an affidavit before the Supreme Court that the High Court will remain in Amaravathi while Minister for Finance, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, has said that the High Court will be shifted to Visakhapatnam. “This is nothing but creating a sort of confusion among the advocates and the judicial officers besides the common public,” they told Lokesh.

“We are not like Jagan who frequently changes tack. If once the TDP makes a promise the party will abide by it. I am now assuring you again that immediately after the TDP government is formed again a High Court bench will be established in Kurnool,” Lokesh told the advocates.

As the Yuva Galam reached the Konda Buruju centre, people turned out in large numbers to have a glimpse of Mr Lokesh. They all, in unison, narrated several local issues to Lokesh, including the prevailing drinking water problem and the poor road facility.

Lokesh promised them that all these issues will be addressed very soon as the TDP is all set to form the government in the coming elections.

Some representatives of the Maha Jana Social United Union met Lokesh and submitted a memorandum in which they demanded categorisation of Scheduled Castes as and when the TDP is back in power. Mr Lokesh promised sanction of funds for the SCs as per their population ratio and revival of all the welfare schemes that are being discontinued now.

Lokesh demands steps by State Govt to bring AP students from Manipur

In view of the shoot-at-sight orders in force in Manipur, the State Government should take urgent steps to safely bring back the students pursuing their studies in various educational institutions there, particularly the National Institute of Technology (NIT), demanded TDP general secretary, Nara Loeksh, on Sunday.

“The students, particularly those who are studying in the NIT, are feeling totally insecure in view of the prevailing situation in Manipur. Hence, the State Government should initiate urgent measures to bring them back safely,” said Lokesh in a press note released during his ongoing Yuva Galam pada yatra on learning about the latest developments in Manipur.

Observing that hundreds of students from Andhra Pradesh are pursuing their studies in various educational institutions, Lokesh said that the parents of these students back home are more worried about the security of their children.

Pointing out that the Telangana Government has already taken enough measures to bring back the students of that State, Lokesh expressed serious concern about the security of the students from Andhra Pradesh.

Since shoot-at-sight orders are in force in some areas while curfew has been imposed in other areas and the internet services too are blocked, how can the students make a call to the call centre, the TDP national general secretary asked.

Lokesh demanded that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, talk to the authorities concerned there immediately and depute senior officers on a war-footing basis to bring back the students by a special flight.

Earlier on the STBT College campus, Lokesh paid rich tributes to the legendary revolutionary leader Alluri Sitarama Raju on the death anniversary of this great tribal leader. Lokesh garlanded the photo of this revolutionary who valiantly fought against the dictatorial British rule and fondly recalled the sacrifices made by Alluri Sitarama Raju.

Behind every scheme launched by Jagan there is a scam, says Lokesh

If Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, launches a scheme, there is a scam behind it, observed TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Friday.

The Mobile Dispensing Unit (MDU) vehicles to deliver the ration at door-step have been purchased with Rs 536 cr only for commissions, Lokesh said and added that Rs 250 cr is being paid annually as wages to the operators of the vehicles which is a sheer misuse of public funds.

Earlier, the card holders could go to the shops to buy ration when they were free, but with the MDUs in operation the card-holders have to wait till it reaches their door-step, Lokesh noted.

The representatives of State Ration Dealers Association met Lokesh at Pedapadu in Panyam Assembly segment during his Yuva Galam pada yatra on Friday and submitted a memorandum in which they said that over 29,500 ration dealers across the State have been totally dependant on the public distribution system for decades.

With the introduction of the MDU system now, which is against the provisions of the Food Security Act, that is being run parallely these dealers are losing their livelihood, they mentioned in the memorandum and demanded that the system be done away with soon after the TDP is back into ruling.

Agreeing with the ration dealers, Lokesh said that the card-holders, the ration dealers and the MDU operators are all suffering due to the introduction of this system. The TDP national leader promised to review the MDU system soon after the TDP forms the government again and a decision which will be convenient to both the card-holders and the dealers will be taken.

“We will certainly examine the possibility of transforming the ration shops as multi-service centres,” Lokesh added.

The youth of Pedapadu village, in a memorandum informed Lokesh that they are not getting sufficient water after their village is merged with the local corporation. Responding to them, Lokesh felt that if a village is merged into a corporation the facilities should improve and steps will be taken to supply the Tungabhadra water to them once the TDP is into ruling again.

Pay compensation for farmers of irrigation projects, Lokesh tells Jagan

0

Telugu Desam Party general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday demanded that the farmers who lost their lands for irrigation projects be paid compensation as per the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act-2013.

The affected farmers of the Gajuladinne project met Lokesh during his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ and submitted a memorandum in which they wanted the TDP to take up the issue of payment of proper compensation for them.

They said that though the cost of the land in their villages is over Rs 30 lakh per acre, the State Government is paying only Rs 4.2 lakh per acre for those who lost their lands for the Gajuladinne project.

Responding to their request, Lokesh said that the State Government can not forcibly take the lands from farmers without their consent. Even if the farmers give their consent, the compensation should be paid as per the norms, he said. Lokesh promised them that the TDP will soon write to the State Government to pay the compensation as per the norms.

The farmer of Kiravadi village in Yemmiganur Assembly segment told Lokesh that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is now feeling totally insecure after his paternal uncle’s murder has taken a serious turn and thus neglecting the farmers in the State. The TDP will certainly resolve all their issues once the party is back in power, he said.

When Puttapasam villagers informed Lokesh that they did not get the housing benefits, he said that the ruling of Jagan is publicity is in its peak and the matter is weak. Once the TDP forms the government again the houses already constructed will be distributed to the beneficiaries and new units will be constructed to provide the benefit for others, Lokesh maintained.

Former MLC and TDP leader, Adireddy Apparao, and Adireddy Vasu were taken into custody by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) is sheer out of vengeance as they refused to join the ruling YSRCP, observed TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Sunday.

“It is the style of Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s style of diversion drama and the arrest of a BC leader who is not facing any cases is possible only in this Government being ruled by an Accused Number One,” remarked Lokesh, on knowing about the arrest of Mr Apparao and Vasu during his Yuva Galam pada yatra on Sunday.

Lokesh made it clear that the TDP will certainly stand by the family of Mr Apparao.

As Lokesh began his pada yatra at Yemmiganur, the residents of Lakshmipet Colony met him and complained that the houses allotted to them during the earlier TDP regime are not handed over to them till now.

They also made it clear that various kinds of heavy taxes being imposed on them is becoming a huge burden on them and that they be freed from this.

When some persons complained that the payment of their pensions too has been discontinued, Lokesh said that the cash-strapped State Government is cancelling the pensions of several beneficiaries. Soon after the TDP is into the ruling again not only the pensions but also all other welfare schemes will be revived for all the eligible persons, he added. Lokesh also promised to review the tax system too.

At SR Function Hall, contract lecturers submitted a memorandum to Lokesh in which they demanded that the lecturer vacancies in all the colleges be filled and that weightage be given for those who are working on contract basis.

They also wanted payment of their wages ontime and that the GOs 84, 85 and 117 be revoked as they are against the norms.

Lokesh assured them that the GO no 77 is a serious setback to the poor students and soon after the TDP is back in power this GO all be revoked and also the fee reimbursement scheme will be revived. All the lecturer vacancies in various colleges will be filled and a degree college will be established at Adoni, he stated.

Representatives of the Scheduled Caste community met Lokesh at Srinivasa Circle in Yemmiganur and wanted all the 27 welfare schemes now withdrawn by this Government be revived once the TDP is back into power.

Agreeing with the SC community representatives that the State Government has discontinued all the welfare schemes launched by the earlier TDP regime, Lokesh wanted them to contribute their mite in bringing back the TDP into power to ensure that Chandrababau Naidu becomes the chief minister again.

Jagan doing great injustice to Dalits by diverting sub-plan funds, says Lokesh

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is doing great injustice to Dalits in the State by diverting the sub-plan funds amounting to Rs 28,149 cr besides discontinuing 27 welfare schemes for the community which were introduced during the TDP regime, said Nara Loeksh, TDP general secretary, on Saturday.

The Dalits of Halaharvi of Yemmiganur Assembly constituency met Lokesh at Nandavaram Rainbow School during his Yuva Galam pada yatra and informed him that they are not getting any loans on subsidy from the SC Corporation and that their sub-plan funds are being diverted to Navaratnalu. They wanted Lokesh to revive all the welfare schemes that are being discontinued now soon after the TDP is into power again.

In a rather sarcastic manner calling Jagan a great leader, Lokesh said that the Chief Minister is such a great person that he has registered a case under the provisions of the SC, ST Atrocities Act against a Dalit. He assured the Dalits that all the welfare schemes that Jagan has withdrawn will certainly be revived and the false cases booked against the community persons will be lifted once the TDP is into power again.

Earlier, when Vaddera community representatives met Lokesh he assured them that funds will be allocated for the Vaddera Corporation as per their population ratio as soon as the TDP forms the government, and all the welfare schemes too will be revived. Lokesh also promised the Madasi Kuruva community representatives, who met him at Nandavaram, that justice will be done to them about their demand to include them in the SC category.

When the Halaharvi Backward Classes (BC) representatives met Lokesh at the Nandavaram temple, he assured them that besides Adarana, all the welfare schemes will certainly be revived as the TDP is committed to the welfare of the community. This Government is totally ignoring the BCs, he said, adding that even the funds meant for their welfare are being diverted.

Lokesh dubs RBK centres as bogus

0

Terming the Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) as total bogus, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Friday said that not even a single farmer in the State has received any kind of benefit from these centres.

In a close interaction with farmers at Machapuram of Yemmiganur Assembly segment, Lokesh said that the farming community is the worst-hit during the YSRCP rule. Calling Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, as a holiday CM as he declared a crop holiday, power holiday and aqua holiday, Lokesh said that the State Cabinet never reviewed the issues being faced by the farmers.

Jagan has promised Rs 10 lakh each for the families of those farmers who resort to suicides but till now he has not come to the rescue of a single family, Lokesh remarked. The TDP national leader declared Rs 1 lakh as financial assistance to the family members of Rangamma, a Dalit farmer, and said that soon after the party is back in power Rs 10 lakh ex gratia will be paid to the family.

Asking as to why Jagan’s photos are printed on the cover page of the passbooks issued to the farmers, Lokesh said that the Chief Minister completely ignored drip irrigation which is a boon to the farmers in Rayalaseema. Recalling that the TDP, while in power, has waived Rs 50,000 loan to every farmer and seeds, fertilisers and pesticides were also supplied in high subsidy, Lokesh said that not only there is a steep hike in the prices of all farm chemicals and seeds but also spurious seeds, fertilisers and pesticides are being supplied to the farmers.

Observing that the cotton farmers are suffering heavily due to the negligence by the State Government, Lokesh asked as to why action is not being initiated against those who are selling spurious seeds and other such products. He assured the farming community that immediately after the TDP is back in power stringent action will be taken against such elements who are cheating farmers.
