Lokesh demands steps by State Govt to bring AP students from Manipur

In view of the shoot-at-sight orders in force in Manipur, the State Government should take urgent steps to safely bring back the students pursuing their studies in various educational institutions there, particularly the National Institute of Technology (NIT), demanded TDP general secretary, Nara Loeksh, on Sunday.

“The students, particularly those who are studying in the NIT, are feeling totally insecure in view of the prevailing situation in Manipur. Hence, the State Government should initiate urgent measures to bring them back safely,” said Lokesh in a press note released during his ongoing Yuva Galam pada yatra on learning about the latest developments in Manipur.

Observing that hundreds of students from Andhra Pradesh are pursuing their studies in various educational institutions, Lokesh said that the parents of these students back home are more worried about the security of their children.

Pointing out that the Telangana Government has already taken enough measures to bring back the students of that State, Lokesh expressed serious concern about the security of the students from Andhra Pradesh.

Since shoot-at-sight orders are in force in some areas while curfew has been imposed in other areas and the internet services too are blocked, how can the students make a call to the call centre, the TDP national general secretary asked.

Lokesh demanded that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, talk to the authorities concerned there immediately and depute senior officers on a war-footing basis to bring back the students by a special flight.

Earlier on the STBT College campus, Lokesh paid rich tributes to the legendary revolutionary leader Alluri Sitarama Raju on the death anniversary of this great tribal leader. Lokesh garlanded the photo of this revolutionary who valiantly fought against the dictatorial British rule and fondly recalled the sacrifices made by Alluri Sitarama Raju.

Behind every scheme launched by Jagan there is a scam, says Lokesh

If Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, launches a scheme, there is a scam behind it, observed TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Friday.

The Mobile Dispensing Unit (MDU) vehicles to deliver the ration at door-step have been purchased with Rs 536 cr only for commissions, Lokesh said and added that Rs 250 cr is being paid annually as wages to the operators of the vehicles which is a sheer misuse of public funds.

Earlier, the card holders could go to the shops to buy ration when they were free, but with the MDUs in operation the card-holders have to wait till it reaches their door-step, Lokesh noted.

The representatives of State Ration Dealers Association met Lokesh at Pedapadu in Panyam Assembly segment during his Yuva Galam pada yatra on Friday and submitted a memorandum in which they said that over 29,500 ration dealers across the State have been totally dependant on the public distribution system for decades.

With the introduction of the MDU system now, which is against the provisions of the Food Security Act, that is being run parallely these dealers are losing their livelihood, they mentioned in the memorandum and demanded that the system be done away with soon after the TDP is back into ruling.

Agreeing with the ration dealers, Lokesh said that the card-holders, the ration dealers and the MDU operators are all suffering due to the introduction of this system. The TDP national leader promised to review the MDU system soon after the TDP forms the government again and a decision which will be convenient to both the card-holders and the dealers will be taken.

“We will certainly examine the possibility of transforming the ration shops as multi-service centres,” Lokesh added.

The youth of Pedapadu village, in a memorandum informed Lokesh that they are not getting sufficient water after their village is merged with the local corporation. Responding to them, Lokesh felt that if a village is merged into a corporation the facilities should improve and steps will be taken to supply the Tungabhadra water to them once the TDP is into ruling again.

Pay compensation for farmers of irrigation projects, Lokesh tells Jagan

0

Telugu Desam Party general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday demanded that the farmers who lost their lands for irrigation projects be paid compensation as per the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act-2013.

The affected farmers of the Gajuladinne project met Lokesh during his ongoing pada yatra ‘Yuva Galam’ and submitted a memorandum in which they wanted the TDP to take up the issue of payment of proper compensation for them.

They said that though the cost of the land in their villages is over Rs 30 lakh per acre, the State Government is paying only Rs 4.2 lakh per acre for those who lost their lands for the Gajuladinne project.

Responding to their request, Lokesh said that the State Government can not forcibly take the lands from farmers without their consent. Even if the farmers give their consent, the compensation should be paid as per the norms, he said. Lokesh promised them that the TDP will soon write to the State Government to pay the compensation as per the norms.

The farmer of Kiravadi village in Yemmiganur Assembly segment told Lokesh that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is now feeling totally insecure after his paternal uncle’s murder has taken a serious turn and thus neglecting the farmers in the State. The TDP will certainly resolve all their issues once the party is back in power, he said.

When Puttapasam villagers informed Lokesh that they did not get the housing benefits, he said that the ruling of Jagan is publicity is in its peak and the matter is weak. Once the TDP forms the government again the houses already constructed will be distributed to the beneficiaries and new units will be constructed to provide the benefit for others, Lokesh maintained.

CID arrest of TDP leaders is out of revenge as they refused to join YSRCP, says Lokesh

0

Former MLC and TDP leader, Adireddy Apparao, and Adireddy Vasu were taken into custody by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) is sheer out of vengeance as they refused to join the ruling YSRCP, observed TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Sunday.

“It is the style of Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s style of diversion drama and the arrest of a BC leader who is not facing any cases is possible only in this Government being ruled by an Accused Number One,” remarked Lokesh, on knowing about the arrest of Mr Apparao and Vasu during his Yuva Galam pada yatra on Sunday.

Lokesh made it clear that the TDP will certainly stand by the family of Mr Apparao.

As Lokesh began his pada yatra at Yemmiganur, the residents of Lakshmipet Colony met him and complained that the houses allotted to them during the earlier TDP regime are not handed over to them till now.

They also made it clear that various kinds of heavy taxes being imposed on them is becoming a huge burden on them and that they be freed from this.

When some persons complained that the payment of their pensions too has been discontinued, Lokesh said that the cash-strapped State Government is cancelling the pensions of several beneficiaries. Soon after the TDP is into the ruling again not only the pensions but also all other welfare schemes will be revived for all the eligible persons, he added. Lokesh also promised to review the tax system too.

At SR Function Hall, contract lecturers submitted a memorandum to Lokesh in which they demanded that the lecturer vacancies in all the colleges be filled and that weightage be given for those who are working on contract basis.

They also wanted payment of their wages ontime and that the GOs 84, 85 and 117 be revoked as they are against the norms.

Lokesh assured them that the GO no 77 is a serious setback to the poor students and soon after the TDP is back in power this GO all be revoked and also the fee reimbursement scheme will be revived. All the lecturer vacancies in various colleges will be filled and a degree college will be established at Adoni, he stated.

Representatives of the Scheduled Caste community met Lokesh at Srinivasa Circle in Yemmiganur and wanted all the 27 welfare schemes now withdrawn by this Government be revived once the TDP is back into power.

Agreeing with the SC community representatives that the State Government has discontinued all the welfare schemes launched by the earlier TDP regime, Lokesh wanted them to contribute their mite in bringing back the TDP into power to ensure that Chandrababau Naidu becomes the chief minister again.

Jagan doing great injustice to Dalits by diverting sub-plan funds, says Lokesh

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is doing great injustice to Dalits in the State by diverting the sub-plan funds amounting to Rs 28,149 cr besides discontinuing 27 welfare schemes for the community which were introduced during the TDP regime, said Nara Loeksh, TDP general secretary, on Saturday.

The Dalits of Halaharvi of Yemmiganur Assembly constituency met Lokesh at Nandavaram Rainbow School during his Yuva Galam pada yatra and informed him that they are not getting any loans on subsidy from the SC Corporation and that their sub-plan funds are being diverted to Navaratnalu. They wanted Lokesh to revive all the welfare schemes that are being discontinued now soon after the TDP is into power again.

In a rather sarcastic manner calling Jagan a great leader, Lokesh said that the Chief Minister is such a great person that he has registered a case under the provisions of the SC, ST Atrocities Act against a Dalit. He assured the Dalits that all the welfare schemes that Jagan has withdrawn will certainly be revived and the false cases booked against the community persons will be lifted once the TDP is into power again.

Earlier, when Vaddera community representatives met Lokesh he assured them that funds will be allocated for the Vaddera Corporation as per their population ratio as soon as the TDP forms the government, and all the welfare schemes too will be revived. Lokesh also promised the Madasi Kuruva community representatives, who met him at Nandavaram, that justice will be done to them about their demand to include them in the SC category.

When the Halaharvi Backward Classes (BC) representatives met Lokesh at the Nandavaram temple, he assured them that besides Adarana, all the welfare schemes will certainly be revived as the TDP is committed to the welfare of the community. This Government is totally ignoring the BCs, he said, adding that even the funds meant for their welfare are being diverted.

Lokesh dubs RBK centres as bogus

0

Terming the Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) as total bogus, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Friday said that not even a single farmer in the State has received any kind of benefit from these centres.

In a close interaction with farmers at Machapuram of Yemmiganur Assembly segment, Lokesh said that the farming community is the worst-hit during the YSRCP rule. Calling Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, as a holiday CM as he declared a crop holiday, power holiday and aqua holiday, Lokesh said that the State Cabinet never reviewed the issues being faced by the farmers.

Jagan has promised Rs 10 lakh each for the families of those farmers who resort to suicides but till now he has not come to the rescue of a single family, Lokesh remarked. The TDP national leader declared Rs 1 lakh as financial assistance to the family members of Rangamma, a Dalit farmer, and said that soon after the party is back in power Rs 10 lakh ex gratia will be paid to the family.

Asking as to why Jagan’s photos are printed on the cover page of the passbooks issued to the farmers, Lokesh said that the Chief Minister completely ignored drip irrigation which is a boon to the farmers in Rayalaseema. Recalling that the TDP, while in power, has waived Rs 50,000 loan to every farmer and seeds, fertilisers and pesticides were also supplied in high subsidy, Lokesh said that not only there is a steep hike in the prices of all farm chemicals and seeds but also spurious seeds, fertilisers and pesticides are being supplied to the farmers.

Observing that the cotton farmers are suffering heavily due to the negligence by the State Government, Lokesh asked as to why action is not being initiated against those who are selling spurious seeds and other such products. He assured the farming community that immediately after the TDP is back in power stringent action will be taken against such elements who are cheating farmers.

Sand mafia ruling the roost now in AP, says Lokesh

0

The sand mafia is ruling the roost in the State after the YSRCP came to power and once the TDP is back into ruling stringent measures will be taken against this mafia, observed Nara Lokesh, TDP general secretary and former minister.

During his Yuva Galam pada yatra, the villagers of Chetnihalli and Madhavarm of Mantralayam Assembly segment told Lokesh that the roads not only in their village but in the neighbouring areas too, are getting badly damaged due to the regular transport of sand and no measures are taken to repaid these roads following which they are facing problems.

Maintaining that the sand mafia will be completely controlled once the TDP forms the government again, Lokesh promised the villagers that all the measures will be taken to solve their problems. He told them that the TDP always accords highest priority for providing basic amenities in rural areas.

When Lokesh had an interaction with Valmiki and Boya community people at Mantralayam, they said that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has taken them for a ride by not fulfilling the promise that they will be given the ST status. Also, they are not getting any benefits that are being given for BCs and that they are not getting any welfare schemes.

Promising a separate legislation will be enacted for the safety and security of BCs once the TDP is back in power, Lokesh promised them that even the expenses for legal fight for them will be met by the next government. Funds will be allocated to BCs as per their population ratio, he said and assured them that the Adarana scheme will also be revived.

Though the TDP, when in power, passed a resolution in the Assembly that the Satyapal Committee recommendations be implemented, now Jagan who took the Boyas and Valmiks for a ride for the past four years, has now decided to include these two communities to give ST status only in four districts, Lokesh remarked.

Lokesh promises separate law for safety of tenant farmers

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday promised to enact a separate legislation for the safety and security of tenant farmers without causing any inconvenience to the land owners immediately after his party is back into ruling.

In an interaction with farming community at Latchhumarri Cross in Mantralayam Assembly segment in Kurnool district during his ongoing Yuva Galam pada yatra, Lokesh said that all the welfare schemes for farmers that were in force during the earlier TDP regime will be revived once the party is back in power.

He also assured the Rayalaseema farming community that water for irrigation will be supplied by interlinking the Godavari, the Krishna and the Penna rivers.

“In fact, my pada yatra has helped me a lot to have first hand information on the problems being faced by the farmers. The daily-wage earners are migrating to Guntur and other areas as they do not have work to earn their livelihood here,” Lokesh said with a tone of agony.

Expressing confidence that if irrigation water is supplied properly the farmers in Rayalaseema are capable enough to raise any kind of crops, Lokesh pointed out that during the TDP regime about Rs 11,000 cr was released for irrigation projects.

“But, after the YSRCP came to power, not even 10 per cent of this amount has been spent in the past four years, he observed.

Lokesh fondly wished 20 daily-wage earners who are coming back from Guntur on finding them in a vehicle. He assured them that once the TDP is into power again the migrations will be checked and the daily-wage earners will get enough work in their respective places.

The villagers of D Benegal also explained to Lokesh that their village does not have even basic facilities like drinking water and roads. Though the Tungabhadra river is just eight km away from their village they are not getting both irrigation and drinking water.

Loeksh assured them that the TDP will take all measures to resolve these issues once the party is back into power.

Jagan will certainly go to jail very soon, predicts Lokesh

0

TDP general secretary and former minister, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday predicted that the Chief Minister, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, will soon go to jail in the murder case of his paternal uncle, Y S Vivekananda Reddy.

Addressing a huge public meeting at Kosigi of Mantralayam Assembly segment as part of his ongoing Yuva Galam pada yatra, Lokesh said that another uncle of Jagan has already gone to jail in this murder case and soon the Chief Minister too will have to go to jail. The whole State is debating whether Jagan or YSRCP MP, Avinash Reddy, will go to jail first, he said.

“This is the reason as to why Bharathi, the wife of Jagan, has suddenly entered the scene now,” Lokesh remarked. The whole family of Jagan is now involved in the murder case of Viveka, he said.

Observing that Jagan will certainly get shocked on observing the massive gathering at Mantralayam for this meeting, Lokesh felt that he is fortunate enough to step on this sacred land on which Sri Sri Raghavendra Swamy walked. “Initially, Jagan drafted the police to create obstructions for my pada yatra and since the forces failed now he is using the YSRCP workers,” Lokesh stated and made it clear that getting scared is not in his dictionary.

Pointing out that the YSRCP social media persons prepared a fake video on him that he talked ill of Dalits, Lokesh asked why the Dalits present at his meeting clapped if at all if he had spoken something hurting their sentiments. “I am still giving you an offer. If you can prove that I have said anything humiliating to the community I will opt out of politics,” Lokesh declared.

Maintaining that Jagan does not know administration, the TDP national leader said that this Government could not properly organise even the Chandanotsavam of Lord Simhadri Appanna. The devotees are the witnesses for the miserable failure of this Government, he added.

Lokesh promises High Court bench at Kurnool after TDP forms govt

0

TDP has already taken a decision to set up a High Court bench at Kurnool soon after the party is back in power, said TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Sunday.

“Ruling should be from one place and the development should be decentralised,” is the policy of the TDP, said Lokesh during an interaction with advocates at Kuppagallu in Adoni Assembly segment during his Yuva Galam pada yatra on Sunday.

Making it clear that the TDP will not deceive the people like the YSRCP, Mr Lokesh pointed out that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, says that the High Court will be set up only in Rayalaseema while Minister for Finance, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, says that the High Court will be shifted to Visakhapatnam.

“But the fact remains otherwise. The State Government has filed an affidavit before the Supreme Court of India that the Andhra Pradesh High Court will be retained in Amaravathi,” Lokesh explained. Pointing out that the Jagan Government till now has not even allotted land for the High Court, the TDP national general secretary asked the advocates to realise these facts.

The TDP has already taken a decision to set up a High Court bench in Kurnool and it will be implemented soon after the party is back in power, he said.

Lokesh felt that it is not correct to simply blame the legal wing that several cases are pending disposal without creating even basic facilities and not allocating necessary funds for the department. “The TDP will certainly provide the necessary funds and all the facilities needed for the Law Department,” he added.

Admitting that with the cooperation of the advocates the atrocities of the Jagan Government could be controlled to a certain extent, Lokesh promised stipend for junior lawyers and all the problems of the advocate community will be resolved on a war-footing basis once the TDP is into government.

The former chairman of the Mangalagiri Sivalayam Trust Board and AP Padmashali Union working president, Munagapalti Venkateswara Rao, joined the TDP in the presence of Lokesh at Kuppagallu during lunch break. Munagapati’s son and his brother too joined the TDP and Mr Lokesh welcomed them into the party.

0

The Yuva Galam pada yatra of TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, touched the 1000 km milestone at Siriguppa Cross of Adoni Assembly segment on Friday.

Profusely thanking all the party activists, who solidly stood by him to reach another milestone of 1000 km, Lokesh called upon his supporters to continue the same spirit till the goal is reached.

”Despite the State Government trying to create several hurdles to the pada yatra, the TDP activists solidly stood by me and supported my mission to end this anarchic rule in the State. I sincerely thank all of them for their support and I also request them to continue the same spirit till we reach the goal,” Lokesh observed.

At least 13 committees are playing a crucial role besides 100 volunteers, in making the pada yatra a grand success. Lokesh promised to take necessary measures to control the price rise once the TDP is back in power.

The affected people of Adoni bypass road told Lokesh that the bypass road construction is against the norms of the master plan of Adoni. Assuring the affected that the TDP will certainly stand by them, Lokesh told them that the party will also inform the National Highway Authority of India about the violations. To grab the lands and to increase the prices of such grabbed lands the YSRCP is ready to violate any guidelines, he added.

The Rayalaseema Parirakshana Students Federation leaders met Lokesh and submitted a memorandum in which they wanted permanent buildings for government hostels in Adoni. Lokesh said that soon after the TDP forms the government again, it will initiate measures to check migrations of students and also improve the condition of educational institutions.

Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, who claims to be the son of Rayalaseema soil till now, did not take any measures to supply even drinking water for the people here, he commented.

The Mala Mahanadu of Adoni met Lokesh and expressed solidarity with him. The TDP national general secretary said that after the YSRCP came to power great injustice is done to Dalits and once the TDP is back in the government all the measures will be taken to protect the community. Jagan transformed job capital of India into ganja capital, says Lokesh

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, transformed Andhra Pradesh, which was earlier popular as the job capital of India into ganja capital of India, observed TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, on Thursday.

In an interaction with the youth at Nagalapuram of Adoni Assembly segment in Kurnool district during his ongoing pada yatra, ‘Yuva Galam’, Lokesh said that Jagan is moving behind the screens as he is scared of the youth. “Jagan knows pretty well that the youth will question him and thus he is not moving behind the screens,” Lokesh commented.

Assuring the youth that the TDP, once back in power, will ensure that they will get employment soon after their studies are over, Lokesh said that the academic system from KG to PG will be cleansed. Also, in every Assembly segment plug and play system will be introduced for IT companies, he added.

Terming Jagan as a cutting master, the TDP general secretary said that the Chief Minister has discontinued Best Available Schools, foreign education system, fee reimbursement and study circles. He is of the opinion that Jagan is just taking the students for a ride in the name of Vidya Deevena, Vasathi Deevena and other schemes. Both parents of students and the teaching community are facing a lot of difficulties as the fee is not being reimbursed, he added.

Promising the people of Kurnool district that soon after the TDP is back in power, companies will be set up in the district in large numbers, Lokesh dared the YSRCP leaders to come for an open debate on how many companies were set up in the State during TDP regime. He said that Chandrababu Naidu is a brand and any company owner will be ready to set up his or her unit once he heads the government.

How long the youth will move to Bengaluru and Chennai, he asked and said that the TDP will certainly set up units in large scale to check these migrations. He said that Jagan’s is a faction mindset and thus he transformed Andhra Pradesh into another Bihar.

At Arekal, the Valmiki community representatives met Lokesh and submitted a memorandum seeking ST status for them. Lokesh promised to take up the issue once the TDP forms the government again. Lokesh said that the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is adopting a vengeful attitude towards Muslim minorities.

Lokesh promises sports university to Rayalaseema

0

Stating that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, does not know the value of sports, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday promised to establish sports university in Rayalaseema once the TDP is ruling again.

“What Jagan, who failed 10th standard, knows about the value of sports. The TDP is fully aware of its importance and I will take personal interest to establish a sports university in Rayalaseema region soon after the TDP forms its government again,” Lokesh told the villagers of Karumanchi of Alur Assembly segment in Kurnool district when they met him during his Yuva Galam pada yatra.

The members of the Backward Classes (BC) community in the village informed Lokesh that they are facing a lot of problems in getting caste certificates and that they are not even getting fee reimbursement. The Vaddera community and Toddy Tappers community too told Lokesh that they are not getting any benefits from this Government.

It is the TDP that promoted the BCs both politically and economically, Lokesh said and added that the party provided 34 per cent reservations in local bodies and appointed BC leaders to key posts. The Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is registering false cases against the BC leaders, he said.

The TDP is committed to the assurance given to Valmikis that they will be given ST status, Lokesh said and promised the BC community members that the TDP, once back in power, will bring in a separate legislation for the safety and security of the community. Neera cafes will be started and reservations will be given for Toddy Tappers community in liquor shops, he said.

Later, the villagers of Kiruppala told Lokesh that they have been making a series of appeals to the district collector for the past four years to arrange a lift irrigation facility to their agricultural lands from the local Vengalaraya Doddi tank but there is no response from the officials. They appealed to Lokesh to provide the lift irrigation facility soon after the TDP came back to power.

Pointing out that the Chandrababu Naidu government has spent Rs 11,000 cr for irrigation projects, Lokesh said that though 90 per cent of the Handri Neeva project works were completed during the TDP regime, the Jagan Government did not take the initiative to complete the remaining 10 per cent works. The party will certainly take up the lift irrigation works once it is back in the government, Lokesh said, adding that basic facilities too will be provided in all the rural areas in the State.

The TDP general secretary also promised the farming community that the Chandranna government that is going to be formed soon will come to the rescue of the farmers. The issue of spurious seeds too will be handled by the coming TDP government, Lokesh added.

Jagan diverting panchayat funds, says Lokesh

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has diverted the funds mean for panchayats development leaving the rural areas without basic facilities, said Nara Lokesh, TDP general secretary, on Tuesday.

During his pada yatra, Yuva Galam, the villagers of Palledoddi of Alur Assembly segment met Lokesh and informed him that even drinking water, drainage facility and road facility are not there in their village and in the neighbouring areas too. The local women were very vocal that the drainage system is in a very horrible position and the less said the better about the drinking water supply.

Responding to the women’s grievance, Lokesh made it clear that once the TDP is back in power, all the issues of rural areas will be resolved on a war footing basis. Jagan Mohan Reddy has completely diverted the funds meant for panchayats leaving the villages in the lurch, Lokesh commented and assured them that not only the drainage system and the drinking water facility, all the problems in every village in the State will be resolved.

Later at Gadderalla, the villagers submitted a memorandum to Lokesh in which they said at least people from neighbouring eight villages move from Gadderalla and they are suffering a lot as the condition of the roads in their area is very bad. They also wanted a bus stand to be set up in their village since it is on the Kurnool-Bellary highway.

Jagan is totally neglecting the farming community and the rural areas in the State, Lokesh said and felt that there are absolutely no developmental programmes in any village in the State after the YSRCP came to power.

The TDP is committed to developing the rural parts, he said, adding that once the party forms the government again top priority will be given to the farming sector and developing the villages, particularly creating basic amenities.

Agriculture in crisis after Jagan become CM, says Lokesh

0

Agriculture is in deep crisis after Jagan Mohan Reddy has become the Chief Minister and farmers are the worst affected, said TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Monday.

The State is now in third place in farmers suicide and Jagan never reviewed on insurance to faring community, Lokesh said during an interaction with farmers at Venkatapuram of Alur Assembly segment in Kurnool district during his ongoing Yuva Galam pada yatra. Lokesh promised to bring down the expenditure on farming soon after the TDP comes to power.

Stating that stringent action will be initiated against those who are now selling spurious seeds, Lokesh said that the Vedavathi project will be completed with eight TMC feet capacity. Though the TDP did not win the Alur Assembly seat in 2014, the then chief minister, Chandrabbau Naidu, never neglected this area, he said.

Assuring the farmers that Minimum Support Price (MSP) will be provided for tomato, the TDP national general secretary said that Jagan, who promised rythu rajyam before coming to power, has now turned the State without any farming. Cotton farmers were the worst affected during the YSRCP rule, he said and asked the farmers not to sign on the agreements on meters for motors. “The TDP will certainly stand by you,” he said.

Lokesh asked as to why the remaining works of irrigation projects are not being taken up. Almost 90 per cent of the Handri Neeva project works were completed during the TDP regime, but Jagan did not take any measures to complete the remaining 1o percent works, he pointed out.

As Lokesh’s pada yatra entered the Alur Assembly segment, he was given a warm welcome by the party leaders, Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy, Kotla Sujathamma and Kotla Raghavendra Reddy besides scores of party activists.

Later, the villagers of Gudimiralla met Lokesh and submitted a memorandum to him in which they said that the farmers are not getting MSP for tomatoes and onion. Lokesh promised to pay the MSP once the TDP forms the government again.

Lokesh promises drinking water connections to all houses

1

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Saturday promised to initiate measures soon after the party comes back to power to supply drinking water to all houses in the State.

Lokesh’s Yuva Galam pada yatra entered Pattikonda Assembly segment on Saturday afternoon and he was given a rousing reception by the local party leaders and large scale TDP activists besides leaders from Kurnool district under the leadership of the Assembly segment incharge, KE Shyam Babu.

At Sabashpuram, the villagers told Mr Lokesh that they are facing a severe drinking water problem as there is no overhead tank in the village nor any pipelines or taps. They informed Mr Lokesh that they have to carry water from the fields which are over a km long.

Though the TDP government launched the Jala Jeevan Mission to supply drinking water to every doorstep, there was a change in the administration after the 30 percent of works were completed, Lokesh told the villagers and said that the YSRCP Government is not releasing funds for this scheme.

He assured the villagers and also the people of the State that the scheme will be completed immediately after the TDP is back in power. Lokesh also said that solar-related units will be set up in Pattikonda Assembly constituency.

At Cherlakotthuru, the local Dalits complained that the ruling YSRCP leaders are forcefully occupying their lands and are threatening them with dire consequences if they enter these lands. In Peddakonda also the affected Dalits met Lokesh and explained in detail the anarchy of the ruling party leaders.

Though they approached the local Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) and even the District Collector justice was not done to them, they narrated to Lokesh. “When we tried to enter our own lands, the locals firmly resisted our entry and even attempted murder cases were booked against us. The local YSRCP leaders are also threatening to kill us if we try to enter our lands,” they said.

Strongly reacting to these complaints, Lokesh said there is no safety for Dalits lands in this YSRCP Government and after Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister at least 12,000 acres of Dalits lands were illegally occupied by the ruling party leaders in various parts of the State.

“Immediately after the TDP forms the government again, these lands will be handed over back to the Dalits and all the illegal cases booked against the Dalit community members will also be lifted,” Lokesh told them as an attempt to instill confidence in the Dalits.

Jagan has no knowledge on farming, feels Lokesh

0

TDP’s main aim is to see to it that the farmer always feels happy while Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has zero knowledge on farming and the problems the farming community faces in their day-to-day life, felt TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Friday.

During his Yuva Galam pada yatra, Lokesh met the groundnut farmers in their agricultural fields at Pyapili village of Done Assembly segment and asked how the farming in their area is. Pat came reply from the farmers that the YSRCP Government is not extending any subsidy on drip irrigation following which they are incurring heavy losses on agriculture.

They also complained that because of the supply of spurious seeds there is heavy crop loss due to which they are suffering a lot. The farmers wanted genuine seeds to be supplied and subsidies to be extended on drip irrigation and fertilisers.

Stating that the TDP is committed for the welfare of the farming community, Lokesh pointed out that the Chandrababu Naidu government had introduced several welfare schemes for farmers. Besides drips, 90 per cent subsidy was given on agricultural implements and tractors, he said.

He felt that Jagan has no understanding on farming and is encouraging those who are selling spurious seeds and fertilisers due to which the farmer is suffering. Lokesh promised to bring back all the schemes that were implemented earlier once the TDP is back in power.

Hanumanthurayanipalli villagers met Lokesh during his pada yatra and complained that there is no crop insurance, input subsidy and other benefits now. Responding to them, Lokesh said that in the past four years, Jagan has extended crop insurance only once and the Government is not thinking of extending input subsidy to the farmers.

Earlier, the leaders of the Goat and Sheep Development Cooperative Federation met Lokesh and submitted a memorandum in which they wanted the subsidy which is now 20 per cent be extended to 75 per cent. Lokesh promised to meet their demand soon after the TDP came back to power.

Before beginning his Friday’s pada yatra, Lokesh garlanded the photo of Dr BR Ambedkar at the Gudipadu campsite on the birth anniversary of the Father of the Constitution. Later, he met the mango growers at the campsite, and they wanted a mango board to be constituted. Lokesh assured them that once the TDP is into ruling again, all their demands will be conceded.

Reacting strongly to the complaints of Tadipatri municipal councillors that they are unnecessarily putting a great hardship, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Thursday warned the officials who are harassing the councillors will have to pay a very heavy price soon.

Some women councillors also informed Lokesh during his Yuva Galam pada yatra at Rayalacheruvu that false cases are being foisted against them only to subject them to mental agony.

“I am aware of all the goings-on here and those who are resorting to such cruel activity will be taken to task and action will be taken against such officials by ordering for a judicial inquiry once the TDP is into power,” Lokesh told them.

At Divalamadugu, the local women narrated to Lokesh that they are getting drinking water from their fields as the pipelines that got damaged have not been repaired by local MLA, Peddareddy. They informed Lokesh that the whole village which has 200 houses has a single borewell and even that is not working properly.

Lokesh promised to supply drinking water to every doorstep immediately after the TDP came back to power. The border villages of Karnataka in Anantapur district are full of liquor and ganja but not drinking water, he said and assured them that the Rayalacheruvu will be filled with drinking water and the pipelines too will be repaired soon after the TDP forms the government.

As Lokesh’s pada yatra ended in the combined Anantapur district, he wrote a letter to the people of the district profusely thanking them for their cooperation. “Even under the hot Sun, you all travelled with me and I will never forget in my life the affection and love you all have shown to me,” Loeksh said in the letter.

Lokesh promises to revive all welfare schemes for farmers in coming TDP govt

0

TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Wednesday promised to revive all the welfare measures that were implemented earlier during the TDP regime once the party forms the government again.

During the Yuva Galam pada yatra, the villagers of P Kottalapalli of Tadipatri Assembly segment in Anantapur district met Lokesh and informed him that the welfare schemes for farmers which were in force earlier, have been withdrawn by this Government.

They told Lokesh that the YSRCP Government is neglecting farmers welfare and till now the crop loss has not been assessed though heavy damage was caused to the standing crop in the recent floods.

Observing that during the TDP regime, Chandrababu Naidu’s top priority was farmers welfare, Lokesh promised the villagers that once the party is back in the government, all the schemes will be revived. “We will see to it that the farmer does not suffer in any manner,” Lokesh told the villagers.

Lokesh said that it is really atrocious that an attempt to murder was made on an Army staff member, Samarasimha Reddy, as he invited the TDP leader, Paritala Sriram, for the jatra organised at Tummala village of Dharmavaram mandal in Satya Sai district. The TDP national general secretary demanded the immediate arrest of the Zilla Parishad chairman, Kamireddypalli Sudhakar Reddy, for this murder attempt on an Army staff member.

The farmers of T Kothapalli and youth from Kammavari Palli met Lokesh during the pada yatra and apprised him of the local issues they are facing. Lokesh said that the youth is always given priority during the TDP regime and employment opportunities will be provided in all sectors for the youth once the TDP is back in power. The villagers of Naganur also met the TDP national general secretary.

At Tutralapalli village, Lokesh had a face-to-face programme with representatives of the Reddy community. He said that Reddys were always given highest respect by the TDP and though the former minister, J C Diwakar Reddy, contested against the late NT Rama Rao, the TDP always treated him as a political rival but not as an enemy.

“We have never resorted to personal animosity and never Chandrababu Naidu and the Late Dr YS Rajasekjara Reddy too indulged in personal attacks,” Lokesh observed. The Yuva Galam pada yatra reached Rayalacheruvu of Tadipatri Assembly segment.

Ministers, YSRCP MLAs are acting like rowdies, alleges Lokesh

Ministers in the State Cabinet and the ruling YSRCP MLAs are acting like rowdies while the lower-level cadre is taking them as an example and are creating total disorder in the State, remarked TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday.

Lokesh’s pada yatra, Yuva Galam, entered Tadipatri Assembly segment from Singanamala, on Tuesday and he is welcomed by former minister, J C Diwakar Reddy, and his family members, JC Prabhakar Reddy and JC Asmith Reddy, besides large scale of TDP leaders and activists.

At Varadaiahpalle, the Besta community representatives met Lokesh and submitted a memorandum to him on the day-to-day problems that they are facing, including the issuance of the GO 217 by the State Government following which they are losing their livelihood.

Responding to their problems, Lokesh said that the Ministers, the MLAs and the other ruling party leaders are behaving so rudely with the people. The poor are the worst affected with their behaviour, Lokesh said and promised to cancel the GO 217 once the TDP forms the government again.

Lokesh also assured all kinds of support to the community, including sanction of loans on subsidy when the TDP is back into power.

Earlier, when the villagers of Tabdhula and Singanaguttapalle, particularly those who lost their lands under the Chagallu Reservoir, complained to him that till now they have not received their compensation for their lands, Lokesh promised to pay their compensation within a short period of coming back to power. He said that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, who promised to pay the relief to the displaced within a month of coming to power did not bother to pay the amount even after four years in office.

At Vulikuntapalli village, Lokesh garlanded the statue of Jyothirao Phule on the occasion of his birth anniversary and paid rich tributes to the great leader. Stating that Jyotirao Phule is a great social reformer and activist, Lokesh said that he dedicated his entire life to the fight against hegemonic values and for equality in all fields, which are still an inspiration to the present generation.
