Prabhas changes his lineup of 2023 Releases

Pan-Indian star Prabhas is busy with the shoots of multiple films. He is done with the shoot of Adipurush and the film was initially slated for Sankranthi 2023 release. But the plans are pushed after the makers were not convinced with the VFX work. More than Rs 100 crore budget is allocated to rework on the graphics work and the portions are corrected. The film is announced for June 2023 but the plans too are pushed. The film’s director Om Raut needs more time for the VFX work after which he informed the same to Prabhas.

The top actor announced Salaar for September 2023 release and he is not in a mood to change the plans for Salaar. The shooting portions of the film will be completed very soon. Prabhas geared up and is focused on the shoot of Project K currently. This Nag Ashwin directorial too needs ample time for the post-production work. Though Prabhas planned multiple releases in 2023, as per the current happenings, Salaar would be the only film that will release next year. Adipurush may have its release during Sankranthi 2024 and Project will release in summer 2024. Prabhas is also shooting for Maruthi’s film that is in initial stages of shoot. The team will take a call on the film’s release date only after the completion of the shoot.

The unit of creative director Nag Ashwin’s futuristic film ‘Project K’ on Sunday released a new poster from the film to mark the birthday of actor Prabhas.

On the occasion of Prabhas’s birthday, the makers released a new poster, showing the hand of the actor with armour punching the air.

The words on the poster- ‘Heroes are not born, They rise…’ give an indication of Prabhas’s heroic character in the film.

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is playing a lengthy and significant role in the movie which has Deepika Padukone playing the female lead opposite Prabhas.

Celebrating 50 memorable years, Tollywood’s leading production house Vyjayanthi Movies is producing this golden jubilee project prestigiously on a high budget. Ashwini Dutt is the producer.

The units of several other films of which actor Prabhas is a part too have been releasing posters to mark the occasion of the actor’s birthday.

Earlier in the day, the unit of ‘Adipurush’, in which Prabhas plays the lead, released a poster of the actor as Lord Ram.

Prabhas and Nag Ashwin are working on the biggest ever film that is tentatively titled Project K. The film’s producer C Ashwini Dutt interacted with the media before the film’s release. The entire shoot of Project K is expected to be completed by January and the post-production work of the film will take 8 complete months. A source close to the actor reveals, “Prabhas has now completed one more schedule of Project K, in Hyderabad. The schedule was about a week long, which was wrapped up on 21st July, shot at Ramoji Film City.”

The film is directed by Nag Ashwin, and also features Deepika Padukone in the female lead. The source adds, “This schedule majorly consisted of solo scenes of Prabhas, and a couple of scenes with Deepika also. With this schedule, Prabhas has wrapped up major chunk of the much awaited film.”

Apart from ‘Project K’, the ‘Bahubali’ star has four other pan-Indian films under his belt. These include ‘Salaar’ opposite Shruti Hassan and ‘Adipurush’ with Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan.

Tollywood media speculated that Deepika Padukone has been unwell on the sets of Project K and she was rushed to a private hospital in Hyderabad. The rumors also told that Prabhas called off the shoot and the movie unit was given a break for a week so that Deepika Padukone recovers well and returns back to the sets. Ashwini Dutt, the producer of Project K responded to the speculations and revealed about Deepika Padukone’s health. He said that Deepika Padukone is doing extremely fine and the actress returned back to the sets in an hour after her health checkup was completed. There is no delay in the shoot and the schedule is happening as per the plan.

“Some combination scenes on Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone are shot currently. Deepika was unwell and she was taken to the hospital. After completing her health check-up, the actress is back on the set. She did not want an actor like Amitabh Bachchan to sit idle on the sets. Deepika Padukone is doing extremely fine and she had fluctuations in her BP. The shoot is happening as per the plan” told Ashwini Dutt. Telugu superstar Prabhas, who will share the screen with Deepika Padukone in ‘Project K’, has asked the makers to postpone the shoot by a week after Deepika was rushed to the hospital after feeling uneasy on the sets.

Reports say Prabhas, who was shooting for the film with the ‘Piku’ actress in Hyderabad, requested the producers to push the schedule forward by a week to help Deepika recover from her illness.

‘Project K’ marks Deepika and Prabhas’ first film together. It is also Deepika’s first Telugu film. The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani in key roles, and is directed by Nag Ashwin.

Last month, the director had revealed that the film is in the early stages of shooting. Nag Ashwin tweeted in Telugu, “We recently wrapped a schedule. Prabhas’ introduction bit was shot in this schedule. The project is still in the early stages of the shoot, so there is still a lot more time to go for the promotions. But rest assured Prabhas’ fans, we are putting our heart and soul into this film.”

The visionary director, who created the world of the late legendary actress Savitri for her biopic ‘Mahanati’, sought help from Anand Mahindra the chairman of the Mahindra Group.

Nag Ashwin’s tweet requesting Anand Mahindra to bail him out with some engineering works related to his movie, wrote a lengthy note.

“Dear Anand Mahindra sir�we are making an Indian sci-fi film with Mr.Bachchan, Prabhas and Deepika called Project K A few vehicles we are building for this world are unique and beyond the tech of today.”

“If this film does what it is supposed to, it will be the pride of our nation”, Nag Ashwin conveyed.

“I admire you a lot sir. We have a talented, fully Indian team of engineers and designers. But the scale of the project is such that we could use a hand. Such a film has never been attempted before.”

“It would be an honor if you can help us engineer the future. Project K”, he concluded.

Nag Ashwin’s request appears to be sincere, as he requested the noted tycoon to assist him with the big-ticket movie. Well, Anand Mahindra has not reacted to it yet.

“We met on the sets of ‘Project-K’. Deepika asked me if I am shy. I said, initially I am”, the ‘Mirchi’ actor shared, as he interacted with the media during the promotions of ‘Radhe Shyam’.

“Only after getting comfortable with people, I start talking to them continuously. Sometimes, I irritate them cracking jokes as long as they enjoy my company”, Prabhas said.

‘Piku’ actress Deepika Padukone, who recently appeared in ‘Gehraiyaan’, will appear next to ‘Darling’ actor Prabhas. The two, who met on the sets of Nag Aswin’s much-anticipated directorial venture ‘Project-K’, had a great time working together on the sets.
