Venkatrao declares his candidature from Gannavaram

0

Ruling YSR Congress leader Yarlagadda Venkatrao declared his candidature from the party for the 2024 general election from Gannavaram Assembly constituency in Krishna district. He lost the seat in the 2019 general election to TDP’s Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan.

After the YSR Congress formed the government, Vamsi had become an associate member of the ruling party and distanced himself from the TDP. Though he had been working with the ruling party, he did not build peace with Venkatrao and senior leader Dr Dutta Ramachandra Rao.

These two leaders have been opposing the entry of Vamsi into the party. Though Jagan Mohan Reddy held two rounds of meetings with them and told them to accept Vamsi in the party, things didn’t go well.

There has been a fight between Venkatrao and Vamsi in the constituency and are leading two separate groups of their own with the party supporters. It is said that Vamsi would be the YSR Congress candidate for the 2024 general election as chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is in his favour.

However, Venkatrao, on Monday declared his candidature from the party for the next election. He said he would contest the election from Gannavaram and there was no going back on the proposal. He turned down the rumours of joining the opposition TDP. He said he would stay with the YSR Congress and contest the election.

Venkatrao also said that he would soon meet the chief minister and give his mind. He said he would insist upon his candidature for Gannavaram seat when he meets the chief minister.

To a question whether he would contest as independent, if the YSR Congress denied ticket, Venkatrao said that he would be the candidate for the Gannavaram assembly constituency either from the YSR Congress or as independent.

Nani, Vamsi swallowed Rs 1100 cr with Tadepalli palace blessings, says Pattabhi

0

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) spokesman, Kommireddy Pattabhiram, on Friday said that a fresh scam involving Rs 1100 crore has come to light in the State.

Talking to media persons at the party headquarters Pattabhiram said that the role of the YSRCP MLAs, Kodali Nani and Vallabhaneni Vamsi, in this scandal should be probed both by the State Government and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Observing that there is no limit for the financial scandals involving the YSRCP MLAs in this State being ruled by financial extremist, Jagan Mohan Reddy, the TDP spokesman said stories on the ruling party leaders grabbing the lands of the poor and harassing them have been coming to light regularly.

Now, the true colours of a YSRCP MLA, who migrated from the TDP to the now ruling party only for power and to make money, are exposed, Pattabhiram added. Narrating the details of the latest scam, Pattabhiram said that Kodali Nani and Vamsi under the supervision of their close associate, Olupalli Ranga, have formed a bogus unit in the name of Sankalpa Siddhi, through which they amassed Rs 1100 cr. These leaders, who are well aware of their defeat in the coming polls, are making such a huge amount of money only to purchase votes in the next elections, he stated.

This Sankalpa Siddghi and the Ekart India Private Limited are conducting their operations making Gudivada and Gannavaram as headquarters under the supervision of Ranga but Gutta Venugopal Krishna and Gutta Kiran as binamis, Pattabhiram stated. Their initial investment was a mere Rs 1 lakh when they established it on May 17, 2022 but within such a short time they made a whooping Rs 1100 cr, he pointed out.

This thoroughly exposes how Kodali Nani and Vamsi looted the poor and how Volupalli Ranga, who is a close associate of Nani, cheated the public. The agents of the Ekart Pvt Ltd and the Sankalpa Siddhi, cheated the common man by promising Rs 200 payment per day if one invests Rs 20,000 besides paying Rs 60,000 in just 10 months, Pattabhiram explained.

War of words intensified in Gannavaram

1

The Gannavaram Assembly constituency in Krishna district is turning into a battle field with the ruling party leaders criticising each other openly. The battle is now between MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan who defected from the TDP to the ruling party and Yarlagadda Venkatrao, who lost the 2019 election.

The two leaders have been making strong allegations and hard-hitting statements against each other for the past sometime. They were the rivals in the 2019 elections with Vamsi contesting on TDP and Venkatrao contesting on YSR Congress. Venkatrao lost the seat to Vamsi by a margin of just 990 votes.

However, after Jagan Mohan Reddy formed the government, Vamsi defected to the ruling party from the TDP. Though Venkatrao raised objections, the chief minister subsided the objections and made Vamsi as the in charge of the party in the constituency.

The chief minister appointed Venkatrao as the chairman of Krishna District Cooperative Central Bank, setting aside the differences. However, with the state getting into the election mood the leaders have reopened their rivalry making open criticism of each other.

Meanwhile, there are strong rumours in the state that Venkatrao is making his moves to get into the TDP before the elections. It is also clear that Vamsi would be the sure candidate of the YSR Congress and Venkatrao has no chances. These rumours are believed to have made Venkatrao to open the rivalry with Vamsi and get into news.

It is to be seen whether Jagan Mohan Reddy would resolve the rivalry between Vamsi and Venkatrao or Venkatrao would quit the YSR Congress and join the TDP to be its candidate in the 2024 elections.

Kodali Nani, Vamsi intrude into Lokesh meet

0

Two of the ruling YSR Congress leaders have intruded into the virtual meeting of TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Thursday, giving a surprise to everyone. Shocked and annoyed, Lokesh hit the ruling party and the state government hard, blaming them for its failure to conduct the SSC examinations.

Lokesh also hit at the YSR Congress leaders for intruding into his meeting only to disturb the meeting. He dared them to answer his questions on the SSC examinations and the poor results where over 2000 students failed.

The two leaders who intruded into the Lokesh meeting are former minister Kodali Nani and Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan. Interestingly, these two leaders always target Lokesh and hurl abuses at him. It was these two leaders who called him Pappu and popularised it too.

When Lokesh was holding a virtual meeting with the Class X students, Vamsi joined the meeting from his account, while Kodali Nani joined the meeting using a fake account. Annoyed at this, Lokesh criticised the YSR Congress leaders for disturbing the meeting.

He alleged that the YSR Congress leaders were also intruding into the private lives of the people, besides indulging in several irregularities. He said that the government had failed on all fronts, taking the state backward.

As Lokesh was criticising the government and the ruling party, both Vamsi and Nani left the virtual meeting.

Will Vallabhaneni Vamsi go back to the TDP?

1

TDP MLA from Gannavaram in Krishna district, Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan, made quite interesting comments on the party. He said that the TDP is a great political party and he never criticised the party. He said he had criticised the leaders, particularly Lokesh who was destroying the party.

Vamsi was the first legislator from the TDP to move closure to the ruling YSR Congress after the 2019 elections. He had become the associate member of the YSR Congress subsequently, though the associate membership was not officially recognised by the Speaker.

Ever since he moved away from the TDP, Vamsi had been criticising TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and its general secretary Nara Lokesh. He commented on the birth of Lokesh, which made the entire NTR family to condemn it and later Chandrababu Naidu staging a walk out from the Assembly. He had even pledged not to go to the Assembly until he was elected as the chief minister.

Though he had been a hard-core critic of Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh, senior leaders from the ruling party from Gannavaram constituency are not comfortable with his presence in the party. Senior leader Dutta Ramachandra Rao had complained against him to chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Another senior leader Yarlagadda Venkatrao is also not happy with Vallabhaneni Vamsi in the Congress and alleged that the MLA was harassing the party workers. He also said that the MLA was entertaining only the TDP activists while ignoring the YSR Congress workers.

In this backdrop, Vamsi made comments praising the TDP, which raised doubts over his continuation in the YSR Congress. However, he brushed aside the criticism against him from the YSR Congress leaders. He said he was answerable only to the chief minister and would not take others seriously.

As the differences with the senior leaders continue to widen the gap in the constituency, his comments praising the TDP assume significance. But sources in the TDP say that the doors have been permanently closed for Vamsi who made abusive comments against Lokesh and his mother Bhuvaneswari.

Dutta raises banner of revolt against Vamsi

1

Senior YSR Congress leader from Gannavaram Assembly constituency in Krishna district, Dr Dutta Ramachandra Rao raised a banner of revolt against sitting MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan. While the MLA had defected to the ruling party from the opposition TDP, Dutta Ramachandra Rao had been a staunch supporter of the YSR family for decades.

After Vamsi switched over loyalties in early 2020, there was some opposition from the YSR Congress with Yarlagadda Venkatrao resisting his entry. The two leaders did not go well for several months. Venkatrao was defeated by Vamsi in the 2019 elections. Later, after Vamsi’s entry, the party leadership made Venkatrao the chairman of the Krishna District Cooperative Central Bank, keeping the squabbles under suspension for some time.

Two years later, the squabbles surfaced with the senior leader Dr Dutta Ramachandra Rao raising the banner of revolt against the sitting MLA. He is accusing Vamsi of suppressing the original YSR Congress activists in the villages and promoting those who have come from the TDP.

The squabbles have reached the leadership following which, party general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy summoned Dr Ramachandra Rao to his office the other day. Dr Ramachandra Rao is understood to have given a report on the activities of Vamsi in the Gannavaram constituency and told the leadership that he would not be able to work with the legislator.

The leadership is believed to have told the sulking leader to wait for some time as they would also like to get information from Vamsi on the squabbles. Later, Dr Ramachandra Rao told media persons that they would not be able to work with Vamsi as he was indulging in several illegal activities in the constituency, including illegal mining.

It is now to be seen how the party leadership would resolve the squabbles and set the house in order.

Why is YSRCP disowning Vallabhaneni Vamsi?

0

Has YSRCP taken TDP renegade MP Vallabhaneni Vamsi for a ride? Has it employed the “use and throw” method to use him and then disown him? Why is the YSRCP claiming that it has nothing to do with Vallabhaneni Vamsi as he is a TDP MLA and not a YSRCP MLA?

On the issue of the abuse of Nara Bhuvaneswari on the floor of the assembly, the YSRCP is clearly on the defensive. It has realised that it has bitten more than it could chew. Now that the issue is turning out to be counter-productive for the party, the YSRCP is trying to wash its hands of the whole controversy. After Vamsi offered apologies, the YSRCP cabal virtually disowned him saying that it has got nothing to do with his apologies. The YSRCP is claiming that he is not a YSRCP member.

It is now becoming increasingly clear that the party is trying to wash its hands off the whole episode and is claiming that Vamsi is a TDP leader. Senior YSRCP MLAs Ambati Rambabu and Rachamalli Sivaprasad Reddy said that Vamsi is officially not a YSRCP member. This comment must have shocked Vamsi, who is now an unofficial member of the YSRCP.

Interestingly, it was Vamsi, who first spoke about Bhuvaneswari on the floor of the assembly. Later, YSRCP leaders such as Kodali Nani, Ambati Rambabu and Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy took cue and got more vocal. But soon after Chandrababu cried and the Nandamuri family entered the fray, they realised that the tide was turning against them. Hence they almost abandoned Vallabhaneni Vamsi. Meanwhile Vamsi apologised to Bhuvaneswari and this was reason enough to disown him completely.

Jagan Govt’s plan for ‘Mega Township’ in Amaravati lands

3

The YCP Government was floating different ideas on the future of lands in the Amaravati Capital City area in a very hilarious way. First, the ruling party Ministers said Amaravati was unfit for Capital because it was a low lying area. Later, they described it as a burial ground not fit for developing a Capital. They made plans to give house sites to thousands of poor families in the lands that were pooled from the Amaravati farmers for developing a global city.

Now, the Jagan regime raised curtains on a new gameplan. This is to develop a Mega Township in Amaravati lands so that housing plots could be given to the farmers who gave their ancestral lands for the Capital City project. Also, persons like film producer Aswini Dutt and actor Krishnam Raju could be given their promised compensation in the form of house sites in Amaravati Capital.

Usually, YCP Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, MLA Challa Ramakrishna Reddy and others would talk about new ideas. This time, pro-YCP MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi was bringing up the Township idea forward.

Vamsi is advising farmers to accept housing plots in Township so that their problem would be solved. The question is how such impractical and unscientific ideas could be brought forth. Who would stay in such a Mega Township in a place which would not have the promised Secretariat, Assembly, Raj Bhavan? Of course, it will serve a purpose which is to irritate and humiliate Amaravati farmers and the TDP.

Multiple problems for Vallabhaneni Vamsi in YSRCP

TDP rebel MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi has shifted his loyalty to the YSRCP long time back. He is claiming himself to be the ruling party incharge in Gannavaram assembly constituency. But, the group led by Dutta Ramachandra Rao was seriously opposing Vamsi’s bid to take control of the YSRCP constituency unit. Vamsi has personally visited and invited Ramachandra Rao for his village level grama sabha meetings recently. On his part, Rao has clearly indicated about his non-cooperation.

The rival group leaders are of the opinion that Vamsi’s arrival has badly hit the morale and opportunities for the original YSRCP leaders who were working for a long time in the party activities. If Vamsi is allowed to continue and get ticket in next elections, then that will spell doom for the YSRCP long-time cadres. As a result, the rival groups have decided to sabotage and make every plan of Vamsi a failure. Left with no option, the MLA is looking for support from his own supporters and those TDP loyalists who were with him in the past.

Amid all this, the shifting of AP Capital is creating problems for Vamsi to strengthen his base in the constituency. Many leaders and activists were not that happy with the 3 Capitals plan. There is a general heartburn among the local people that YSRCP is taking away Capital from their place.
In the face of rising Capital sentiment and internal fighting, Vamsi’s future plans for a strong hold on his constituency were proving to be more and more difficult. If Amaravati agitation strengthens further, it is expected to create problems for many YSRCP leaders in Krishna district.

Vamsi discusses resignation issue with Jagan

1

TDP rebel MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi along with his close friend and Minister Kodali Nani met Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy at the latter’s Tadepalli residence in Amaravati. Vamsi raised the issue of his resignation from MLA seat with CM ahead of the coming assembly session. For long, Vamsi is not interested to sit with the TDP members in the Assembly any more.

After resigning from the TDP, Vamsi has made embarrassing comments against Chandrababu Naidu. He even made objectionable personal comments against Nara Lokesh. Now, a situation has arisen where Vamsi has to either resign from MLA post or seek separate recognition to him as an independent MLA in the Assembly.

Vamsi has not formally joined the YCP till now. It’s because CM Jagan Reddy has made it his ideological commitment not to give his party membership to any rival MLA unless he resigns from MLA post. It’s not known what Jagan has advised Vamsi. CM is very much keen to support Vamsi for all his crucial support to YCP in its hour of crisis.

Will Vamsi resign and recontest on YCP ticket?

0

The ruling YCP is actively considering going for by-election in Gannavaram assembly segment. It is almost decided to make Vallabhaneni Vamsi resign from MLA post and recontest on the YCP ticket. The party is offering the MLC post to existing YCP Gannavaram incharge Yarlagadda Ranga Rao.

Political circles say that YCP Krishna district key leader Dutta Ramachandra Rao has held special discussion with Vamsi in this regard. Rao is also a member of the YCP State level political committee. CM Jaganmohan Reddy has already instructed Ramachandra Rao to take necessary steps for future plans on Gannavaram.

The YCP is trying to use the previous KCR strategy to use by-elections as a means to showcase its strength. Moreover, the YCP wants to put TDP in a tight spot because the Opposition party challenged Vamsi to resign from MLA post. Vamsi is discussing the issue with his followers. He is soon expected to announce his resignation and challenge the TDP for a big fight.

Vamsi might not dare to resign from MLA post

0

AP Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram has now clarified that if any MLA changes his political party, he will have to resign from his MLA post. This is now clear that Vallabhaneni Vamsi has no choice but to continue as TDP MLA in the House. Can he be separated as an independent MLA? There are no indications how Jagan Circar is going to accommodate him. But, surely, Vamsi is facing a very tricky situation.

At one point, Vamsi accepted Lokesh challenge and announced that he was ready to resign. Vamsi was bold enough at that time with the confidence that he would win again if election is held in Gannavaram assembly segment. But the changing political scene is proving very difficult.

Ever since his quitting the TDP, Vamsi is facing an all-round criticism from both the opposition and the ruling YCP cadres. It is not sure what position Vamsi will be given as yet. It is not clear also whether Jagan will give Gannavaram ticket. Even if he gets ticket, the political situation is very tough for Vamsi to get easy victory. On the other hand, Speaker Sitaram is referring to CM Jagan Reddy’s ethical rule that YCP would not take in MLAs from rival parties if they do not resign from Assembly membership.

Why is Jr NTR not campaigning for TDP? Vamsi asks Naidu

0

In 2009 elections, Jr NTR actively took part in the TDP electioneering. That raised lots of morale among the party cadres. But why is Jr NTR not campaigning in favour of TDP since then? TDP rebel MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi asked Chandrababu Naidu. The TDP took BJP support in 2014. Then why did Chandrababu begin anti-BJP campaign after three years? Vamsi asked.

Vamsi’s criticism came out as a counter to Naidu’s Sand Deeksha in Vijayawada. His comments were in the manner of making Chandrababu look untrustworthy when compared with CM Jagan Reddy. Vamsi went a step forward and asked Naidu to explain why the TDP lost its capacity to win any Andhra election single-handedly since NTR was removed from the party.

Vamsi clarified further that he would be working with CM Jagan Reddy henceforth. This is indication enough that his resignation from MLA post may not be immediately accepted by the Speaker. He may not be officially joining the YCP but he will certainly be giving lot of political embarrassment to the TDP chief.

Vamsi ‘playing’ politics under the guise of ‘quitting’ politics!

0

TDP’s Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi created a furore by tendering resignation to his MLA post as well as TDP on Sunday,

Vamsi even announced his decision to quit from politics. But one fails to understand why Vamshi is playing politics under the guise of quitting politics.

If Vamshi was really serious on quitting politics, there was no need for him to meet AP CM and YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy a day before he announced his decision to quit TDP as well as MLA post.

Vamsi playing politics does not stop there.

He blamed YSRCP’s ‘vendetta politics’ for his decision to quit politics.

He thanked TDP chief and former AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu for giving him chance to work as MLA twice from TDP.

Why Vamsi is trying to join YSRCP and praising Chandrababu at the same time? Why is he trying to join YSRCP, which he is blaming for quitting politics.

If Vamsi is not trying to join YSRCP, why YSRCP’s Gannavaram MLA candidate Yarlagadda Venkat Rao, is strongly resisting Vamshi’s entry into YSRCP and why he is meeting YS Jagan today requesting not to take Vamshi into YSRCP?

All these factors show that Vamsi is playing politics for his political future under the guise of quitting politics.

BJP sources claim that Vamsi is in touch even with them and he is ready to join BJP, if he cannot make it to YSRCP for any reason.

TDP’s Vamsi to resign from MLA seat to join YCP

0

Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi has finally decided to leave the TDP to join YCP soon. But CM Jaganmohan Reddy has already announced that whoever wants to join his party, they will have to first resign from their MLA or MP post. In accordance with this norm, Vamsi has decided to resign from MLA seat. He has already discussed this with his followers in the assembly constituency. Jagan has promised to give top position to Vamsi in YCP Krishna district unit.

Since YCP came to power, the Vamsi group has been facing lot of problems locally. Cases are filed against them. A case is also filed against Vamsi himself accusing him of distributing fake house site pattas to poor voters in last elections. At the same time, there is pressure from Ministers Kodali Nani and Perni Nani. Both of them are close friends of Vamsi regardless of their political affiliations. In fact, they arranged the meeting for Vamsi to meet Jagan recently.

Another reason being given for Vamsi’s decision is that he has differences with Ex Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao. Vamsi suspects that his rival groups are creating problems for him within TDP. Even if he cannot join YCP now, Vamsi has decided to join the BJP as a second choice.
