Eight years after the release of Drishyam, the sequel for the Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam 2 is out and it is winning the hearts of the audience across the country. The makers skipped the theatrical release and the film is streaming on Amazon Prime. The last 40 minutes of the film is receiving wide appreciation. Victory Venkatesh who worked in the Telugu remake of Drishyam watched the sequel and he loved it completely.

He signed the sequel and the shoot will commence from next month. Venkatesh is keen to complete the shoot in quick back-to-back schedules. Jeethu Joseph who directed the original will direct the remake. Aashirvad Cinemas in association with Suresh Productions will produce Drishyam 2. Venkatesh completed the shoot of Naarappa recently and he is shooting for a comic entertainer F3 currently.

Victory Venkatesh reprised the role of Mohanlal in the remake of Drishyam and the film is also a super hit in Telugu. The sequel for the film is releasing in Malayalam on Amazon Prime on February 19th. Drishyam 2 is carrying huge expectations in Malayalam and as the film is heading for a digital release, the entire nation can watch the film on the day of its digital release. There are speculations that Venkatesh will play the lead role in the remake of Drishyam 2.

But Venky is not really keen on the sequel because of the digital release of the film. Most of the audience would watch the film on Amazon Prime and there would be no curiosity left among them. Venky and Suresh Babu discussed about this recently and they decided to stay away from the project. Venky is in talks with Tharun Bhascker for an interesting film and the project starts once Venky is done with the shoot of F3.

Victory Venkatesh is busy with the shoot of Naarappa and the film is announced for summer release. Venky is expected to complete the entire shooting part by the end of March. He is in talks for F3 in the direction of Anil Ravipudi and things will be finalized only after Anil narrates the final draft. Venky has been in talks with Tharun Bhascker for a film but it was kept on hold after Venky wasn’t convinced with the script.

Tharun Bhascker is said to have re-worked on the script and met Venky recently. The project is expected to start later this year. Suresh Productions will bankroll this project. The film is set in the backdrop of Old City and is based on horse racing. More details awaited.

Victory Venkatesh is all set to reprise the role of Dhanush in the remake of Asuran. The entire script work of the film got completed and the regular shoot will commence from January 22nd. This rural-based action entertainer will be directed by Srikanth Addala and Priyamani is the leading lady. The film is set in the backdrop of Anantapur and the flashback episodes will be presented considering the 1980s faction incidents that took place in Anantapur.

Venky will be seen in two different looks which are already designed. A bunch of new faces will be seen playing other crucial roles in this untitled action drama. Suresh Productions and V Creations are the producers. Venkatesh is keen on releasing the film for summer 2020.
