Das Ka Dhamki showed us Vishwak Sen’s penchant to handle multiple jobs at the same time. He pulled off a dual role, wrote screenplay and also directed the film. Critics praised his passion and acting skills as he showcased variations in perfect tone in the film.

Now, Vishwak Sen in going to be Angry Young Man with a ruthless attitude on screen.

Krishna Chaitanya is coming up with this fearsome man’s tale structured in a evil and desperate world. The character has to cope up in a toxic environment that either leaves you breathless or turns into a devil. Vishwak Sen will play a completely cruel and ruthless character in the film.

It is nice to see, a young actor like Vishwak Sen touching different characters and genres with each film. He started off with Vellipomakey, Ee Nagaraniki Emayyindi. Then did Falaknuma Das, that gave him good mass fanbase. He turned into a cop for HIT.

Then, he did Ashoka Vanam lo Arjuna Kalyanam and Das Ka Dhamki. Each character different from the other and this one will also have Vishwak Sen, in a never before seen look.

One of the all-time greats, Yuvan Shankar Raja is returning to Telugu Cinema with this one. He scored for Love Today, recently. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya are producing the film on Sithara Entertainments & Fortune Four Cinemas, respectively. More details will be revealed by the team, soon.

Story :

Krishna Das ( Vishwaksen) works as a waiter in a star hotel in Hyderabad. Das and friends lead middle class life, want to lead a rich life. Pretending as a rich brat Das cheats keerthi ( Nivetha ). On the other hand Sanjay Rudra ( Vishwaksen) a look alike of Das runs a pharma company which claims discovery of a cancer drug. There is a 10,000 crores deal for which Dhanunjay ( Ajay ) and Sanjay fight for. Eventful sequences lead Das to impersonate as Sanjay. Rest of the story is how Sanjay and Das cross into each other’s space

Analysis :

In first half Das role and characterization are neatly done. Vishwaksen seamlessly transforms into a waiter role. The love story with Keerthi is commercially packed if not with freshness. With his body language and youth centric dialogues, Viswaksen delivers average watch up until interval.
Hyper Aadi, Mahesh as sidekicks to Das deliver much needed comedy dialogues.

Rao Ramesh engages Das to impersonate Sanjay sets the game for second half. As a director, Vishwak overtries from here on. Dual role films turn double edged sword to the director. They get ample scope to generate engage the audience , but sometimes dual roles add to confusion.

Problem with the Das Ka Dhamki script is too many twists, and mainly flipping the identities of Sanjay and Das turn headache by somepoint. Unnecessary violence, Overdose of swear words might help pulling in certain section audience but deters many. Hopefully, those words are censored in India prints. The crucial climax portion and post titles scene also didnt work much. Overall, had vishwak kept it simple in second half he would have scored a winner.

Performances :

Viswaksen as Das did great work, Sanjay characterization didn’t give him much scope to do the same.  Nivetha as Keerthi is adequate. Rao Ramesh role is a very predictable boring one.

Production values are top class and audience might feel they are watching a star hero film budgetwise. ‘ Mawa Bro’ , ‘ Almost padipoyinde pillaa ‘ songs are good on screen

Positives :

Negatives :

  • Nonsensical second half
  • Confusing screenplay

Verdict :

‘Das Ka Dhamki’ is an average fare for youth , tests patience for other sections. Viswaksen did a good job as a hero, but couldn’t meet expectations as a director. Too many confusing twists in the second half played spoilsport.

Tollywood young actor Vishwak Sen is testing his luck with Das Ka Dhamki and the film is releasing on the eve of Ugadi. During the promotions of the film, Vishwak Sen was questioned about the recent controversy with actor Arjun. The film was announced and shelved. Arjun made sensational comments that Vishwak Sen did not turn up for the shoot and he would initiate legal proceedings. When questioned, Vishwak Sen said that he would prefer not to respond to the controversy or the film. “I have a lot of respect for many and I would prefer not to respond about the controversy”. Vishwak Sen also did not respond for the question that he paid huge amount to settle the issue with Arjun.

Vishwak Sen also said that he preferred to direct Das Ka Dhamki as he felt that he could do justice for the film. Vishwak Sen directed the film and he played the lead role and produced Das Ka Dhamki. The music and the trailer impressed the audience big time. The film is hitting the screens on March 22nd and Nivetha Pethuraj is the leading lady. Vishwak Sen’s Das Ka Dhamki is releasing on March 22nd as Ugadi Special. Vishwak is directing and producing the film as well. Young Tiger NTR is the Chief Guest for the film’s Pre-release event in Hyderabad which witnessed a massive crowd in attendance.

Speaking at the event, NTR said, “I can’t speak like Vishwak how he does on mike because his confidence is just impossible. I felt like it is my responsibility to come here. I watch Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi whenever my mood is off. Vishwak and Abhinav were too good in the film. It is not easy to convey so many expressions and emotions despite a first-timer. After Paagal, I thought he is going in the routine path. But he surprised me with Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam. I wish Das Ka Dhamki will become a blockbuster. He is very passionate and put his everything on this film. We should encourage people like him”.

Vishwak Sen said, “It is great for a star like NTR to come for a fan. He called me for dinner two months ago and I invited him for Dhamki event. He gave him word and kept it. I thought of not asking him again due to a personal tragedy in his family but he himself asked his staff to find out the event date. I also thank him for making India proud and staying with me. He is god send for me and I feel the movie is already a blockbuster. Dhamki is not a film, it is Vishwak Sen 2.0. See you in theaters on 22nd”.

Das Ka Dhamki Trailer 2.0: Vishwak’s Show All The Way

Vishwak Sen is coming up with an out-and-out action and family entertainer Das Ka Dhamki. Besides playing the lead role, he has also directed and produced the movie where Nivetha Pethuraj will be seen as the leading lady. The makers who previously released trailer 1.0 which was well-received have unveiled trailer 2.0 now.

The trailer begins with the introduction of Vishwak Sen’s character as a pharma company chief who invents a drug to treat cancer patients. His dream is to see no one suffering from cancer. When he loses his life in an accident, a hotel waiter played by Vishwak Sen himself is brought in his place. How he copes with the new people and circumstances around him will be interesting to see.

Although trailer 1.0 showed many aspects of the movie, the trailer 2.0 discloses the core point and assures the movie will be exceedingly entertaining. It’s Vishwak Sen’s show all the way. He looked excellent in both characters. Nivetha Pethuraj oozed oomph and the chemistry worked well.

Technically too, the trailer 2.0 is very impressive. While Dinesh K Babu handled the cinematography, Leon James provided the music. The video takes the expectations to another level.

Das Ka Dhamki will have Pan India release on March 22nd.

Rana Daggubati, Siddhu Jonnalagadda launch first single from ‘Das Ka Dhamki’

Tollywood hero Vishwak Sen essays the lead role, besides directing his maiden pan-India film ‘Das Ka Dhamki’. The film is presently in the post-production phase.

The music promotions of the movie with a foot-tapping number saw stars Rana Daggubati and Siddhu Jonnalagadda lending a hand with the launch of the first single.

While Rana Daggubati launched the Hindi version of the song – Almost Dil Ka Patha Mila, Siddhu Jonnalagadda unveiled the Telugu song – Almost Padipoyindhe Pilla. The tune is scored by Leon James and set to stylish visuals that have been shot in some exotic locations.

Vishwak Sen’s dance moves and Nivetha Pethuraj’s add a glam touch to the song. Leon James and Adithya RK’s lively vocals complement Poorna Chari’s catchy lyrics. Amitabh Verma penned the lyrics for the Hindi version, while the vocals were by Nakash Aziz, alongside Leon James.

The film’s theatrical trailer had recently presented Vishwak Sen in a role with different shades.

Being produced by Karate Raju under Vanmaye Creations and Vishwaksen Cinemas banners, Nivetha Pethuraj is the heroine. Prasanna Kumar Bezawada penned dialogues for the movie.

The film has cinematography handled by Dinesh K Babu, whereas Leon James scores the music and Anwar Ali is the editor.

Rao Ramesh, Hyper Aadi, Rohini, and Prithviraj are the other prominent cast of the movie which will release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.

Das Ka Dhamki will hit the screens worldwide on February 17, 2023.

The trailer actually reveals the film’s plotline. It shows Vishwak Sen in a dual role as a doctor turned entrepreneur and as a waiter. When the company is in dire situations, the waiter is brought in place of the CEO. The questions which arise after watching this gripping trailer are what actually happened to the entrepreneur and who’s behind the attack on him?

It’s Vishwak Sen’s one-man show literally. Besides handling the project quite convincingly as a director, he is remarkable in a dual role. He is super entertaining as the waiter, and he looks ferocious as the entrepreneur. Nivetha Pethuraj oozed oomph as his love interest. The trailer looks promising and generates good interest.

Vishwak Sen’s pan-India film ‘Das Ka Dhamki’ to be released in Feb 2023

Tollywood star Vishwak Sen, who proved his mettle as a writer and director with his 2019 film ‘Falaknuma Das’, is directing his pan-India movie ‘Das Ka Dhamki’ in which he also dons the titular role.

The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi languages in February 2023.

The film is a rom-com with shades of action thriller. The movie’s first look poster that was released on Thursday has Vishwak sporting an earring and a watch, in a stylish yet rugged look.

Raising his eyebrows in a threatening manner as if giving ‘dhamki’ (threat) to someone. The intriguing first-look poster indicates that Vishwak Sen is yet again playing a mass and action-packed character in the movie.

Being produced by Karate Raju under Vanmaye Creations and Vishwaksen Cinemas banners, the movie features Nivetha Pethuraj as the female lead. Prasanna Kumar Bezawada has provided dialogues for the movie.

The shooting of the movie is currently underway in Hyderabad. The entire production formalities will be completed by the end of this week, unit sources said.

Bulgarian fight masters Todor Lazarov-Juji ,who choreographed stunts for ‘RRR’ and ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’, has choreographed the climax fight of the movie.

Ramakrishna master who was part of ‘Bimbisara’ choreographed an action episode, and Venkat master supervised a stylish action block.

Dinesh K. Babu cranks the camera, with Leon James scoring the music while Anwar Ali is the editor.

Rao Ramesh, Hyper Aadi, Rohini and Prithviraj are the other prominent cast of the movie.

Young Tollywood actor Vishwak Sen landed into one more controversy. He signed a film in the direction of actor Arjun Sarja, a bilingual and Arjun’s daughter Aishwarya Arjun is roped in as the leading lady. Arjun met the press and made sensational comments on Vishwak Sen. “This is the best script ever written by me. After completing the script, I thought Vishwak Sen would be the apt one. He too loved the script completely and the announcement was made. I was not happy with the remuneration and the terms. But we came for an understanding and he decided to hold a region (theatrical rights)” told Arjun.

“He stopped coming to discussions. I never called any actor many times. He stopped attending my calls. I thought he was busy. He did not even finalize the costumes. We planned a 30 days schedule and we finalized the actors. He and his manager came to me and requested to adjust the dates. I understood the situation. He decided not to come for the entire schedule. The dates of all the actors are wasted. He allocated dates from November 3rd till December. Vishwak Sen again asked for rest. We planned new schedules. I called him many times as he should involve in the script. He never answered my calls or responded. He finally came on October 31st. I narrated the script again with a lot of improvements and dialogues. He messaged me on October 3rd at 4 AM asking me to cancel the shoot” told Arjun.

“I could not digest his unprofessionalism. Our team worked throughout the night. I felt that it is an insult for everyone. Then I felt that this is not happening” told Arjun. Vishwak Sen’s unprofessional attitude is now being discussed in Tollywood. His recent film Ori Devuda bombed at the box-office.

The film was badly hit after the Telugu film producers called for a strike for a month. Apart from this, there were several unexpected delays that mounted up the film’s budget.

At the same time, Vishwak Sen’s sister fell ill and she was admitted to ICU. The actor spent sleepless nights during this time. He had to spend time in the hospitals during the nights and he used to attend the shoot of Dhumki told Vishwak Sen. “The budget is already heaped up and I was left with no option except to attend the shoots. My parents took care of my sister and I used to spend time in the nights in the hospital. I slept for three hours and had to rush to the sets. Once the shot was locked, I used to cry out. Those were the toughest days in my life” told Vishwak Sen. The film releases soon.

Story :

Arjun ( Vishwak) , Anu (Mithila) are childhood best friends and Meera (Asha Bhat) is a senior in the college. Story of ‘ OriDevuda’ is a triangular love story between these three. Arjun and Anu apply for divorce within a year of marriage. Anu suspects a relation between Arjun and Meera, the context leads to divorce application. A fictional component of the story, God ( Venkatesh) gives a second chance to Arjun. In second run, Arjun decides not to marry Anu and rest of the story is the consequences of his decision.

Analysis:

‘ OriDevuda’s a smartly written script with its strength lies in the screenplay . A typical triangular love story gets a fresh look by adding the second chance thread. The first half is filled with routine comedy entertainment. Second half has two three emotional scenes which are heart-warming. The comedy attempted around Murali Sharma’s ceramic business is not appealing. The dialogues and conversations are contemporary. Arjun Anu and their friend roles are very relatable to present generation youngsters. ‘;BujjammaBujjamma ‘ song, ‘ EmaniAnalani ‘ song are good on the screen.Leon James music is adequate as he is able to deliver 2 good songs at least. The director AshwathMarimuthu properly designs the lead characters. Vidhu’s cinematography deals this urban rom-com in slick manner.

Performances:

VishwakSen,who is known for eccentricity, calms down a bit as Arjun in Ori Devuda . He delivers energetic performance without going overboard this time. Arjun character is his career best performance. However, he needs to watch his weight MithaliPalkar is a good choice for this performance oriented Anu character. Mithali fits urban girl role aptly and acted with ease. Asha as Meera is just adequate.

Victory Venkatesh costumes and stylist appearance are impressive in GOD roles. Murali Sharma as Anu’s father delivers excellent performance with his unique style. Especially he stands out in the scene in which he reveals his childhood dreams to Arjun.

  • Over dramatic at times

Verdict :

‘Ori Devuda’ is triangular love and friendship story with shades of 2010 timeframe feel good films. Second half of the film is better than the first one.Vishwak Sen excelled as Arjun – perhaps his career best performance. Overalla decent film to try for youth as well family audience

He continued “Vishwak without a doubt the future bloody Superstar. I’m not joking about this to be nice, and I have no doubt he’ll be a Superstar.”

The actor was then kissed and hugged Vishwak Sen.

Dialogues penned by Tharun Bhascker. The fantasy rom-com also stars Asha Bhat in the lead role, alongside Vishwak and Mithila. According to reports, Liger director Puri Jagannadh will also have a cameo appearance in Ori Devuda. Prasad V Potluri of PVP Cinema is producing the film.
