Why KCR started ‘water war’ with Jagan all of a sudden?

0

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao raked up Krishna water dispute with Andhra Pradesh all of a sudden.

In the cabinet meeting held on Saturday, KCR lashed out at Jagan government for taking up Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme on Krishna river and Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme right canal on Tungabhadra river illegally without obtaining any approvals from regulatory agencies concerned.

KCR decided to construct several new projects on Krishna to divert water to Telangana in retaliation for AP constructing illegal projects.

RLIS and Rajolibanda are not taken up by AP today. They are going on for over a year but why KCR is raking up this issue now as if they started yesterday. Political analysts see Sharmila’s angle into this issue.

Sharmila becoming active in Telangana politics and attacking TRS, KCR and his family members and KCR strongly believes that Sharmila has Jagan’s secret blessings to settle in Telangana politics.

To counter this, KCR is raking up Krishna water row to project YSR family as anti Telangana and rake up regional passions again foe his political mileage and check Jagan and Sharmila in Telangana.

Is Bhuma Akhilapriya joining YSRCP?

1

A major move is in the offing to join former minister and Bhuma family scion Bhuma Akhilapriya into the YSRCP. Though YS Jagan is reportedly against this move, there is said to be pressure from several of his relatives as Bhuma family has close relationship with the YS family.

Akhilapriya is passing through troubled times. He is facing kidnap charges in Telangana and her husband Bhargavaram is on the run to escape police dragnet. Akhilapriya herself spent few weeks in the jail in this case. The famed Nandyala Dairy, which was run by the Bhuma family, has slipped away from her hands. She is said to be having dispute with her sister Mounika too. Interestingly, neither Chandrababu Naidu nor the TDP is trying to help her in these troubled times.

So to bail her out, her extended family has begun making moves to bring her into the YSRCP. Interestingly, most of Akhilapriya’s relatives are in the YSRCP. Her brother’s father-in-law Katasai Ramireddy is YSRCP MLA from Banaganapally. Similarly, her first husband is son of Jagan’s uncle Ravindranath Reddy. He is YSRCP MLA from Kamalapuram. YS Vijayalakshmi too is considered quite close to Bhuma Akhilapriya. Her unble Mohan Reddy too is in the YSRCP.

All these are now said to be helping her and are trying to bring pressure on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to allow her into the YSRCP. The protective umbrella of the YSRCP will help her tide over the crises she is facing, sources say. Though Akhilapriya is desperately trying to sneak into the YSRCP, whether YS Jagan allows her or not is the question. Sources say that he may finally allow her into the party.

Jagan’s Job calendar: Rude joke on job aspirants on many fronts

Andhra Pradesh chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy announced job calenda. The government and its advisors seems to be of the opinion that recruiting 10,000 jobs in the span of next one year can be termed as a ‘Revolution in the country’ . But the unemployed and job aspirants, who thought that upcoming job calendar will turn their fate, received a big jolt after going through the details of job calendar.

First of all the announcement doesn’t fit the definition of job calendar. Job calendar is expected to contain the details of the date of notification, the date of exam , and the date of results. In fact UPSC does release this kind of job calendar every year. However the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and his advisers seem to be believing that a mere announcement of upcoming jobs itself is the job calendar.

The count of combined jobs of Group 1&2 is 36? Jagan must be kidding:

Secondly the job aspirants who have been preparing for the group 1 and 2 examinations to be conducted by Andhra Pradesh Public service commission received a big jolt after seeing that there will be only 36 jobs in total for group 1 and group 2 posts combined. To be frank the previous group 1 notification issued during the tenure of Chandrababu Naidu had 148 jobs of group 1 rank. Similarly group 2 jobs were to the tune of 300+. If we combine number of posts of a single group 1 notification and group 2 notification, the total used to be between 400 and 500. But Jagan government announcing only 36 posts for group 1 and group 2 together hugely disappointed the job aspirants .

What is a job calendar if it doesn’t mention DSC :

Another surprising and disappointing element for the job aspirants is that, there is no mention of teacher posts to be filled in next one year. Usually most of the middle class students aim for teacher posts and police constable posts in addition to group 1, group 2, group 3 and group 4 jobs. However those who have pinned their hopes on job calendar for teacher posts were in a huge a disappointment as there was nothing in this and also there was no single DSC notification in Jagan’s government till date. Moreover, there is no mention of group 3 and group 4 jobs in the current job calendar.

Filling 4 lakh Contract and outsourcing jobs without following reservations- gross injustice to weaker sections:

The government also announced that, in the last one and half year, approximately four lakh jobs were filled through outsourcing and contractual agreements. Even though many people question where were the notifications for these jobs and they doubt the veracity of this statement, some people started stating- if this is true , this is a gross injustice to the weaker sections. Because government doesn’t need to follow any reservations mandated by the Constitution of India while filling such contractual jobs. So by giving preference to such outsourcing jobs, Government has done injustice to the job aspirants belonging to SC, ST and BC Sections.

Overall the job aspirants and unemployed youth seems to be disappointed with the details mention in the job calendar and are requesting the government to revise the calendar with more posts as per the numbers promised by Jagan during election campaign.

Former TDP MLA Philip C. Tocher joins YSRCP

1

Former Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Christian minority leader Philip C. Tocher has joined Andhra Pradesh’s ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP).

Tocher joined YSRCP in the presence of party founder and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday at his camp office.

The former MLA was accompanied by YSRCP MLC Lella Appi Reddy and party leaders Kathera Suresh and Kathera Henry Christina.

Back in January, Tocher resigned from the TDP, accusing party supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu for his remarks on the Christian community.

He was with TDP since its inception in 1983 and went on to be nominated as the Anglo-Indian MLA during the TDP regime from 2014 to 2019.

No employee will be laid off from schools, Anganwadis: Andhra CM

1

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday assured that not a single employee will be laid off from the schools and Anganwadi centres of the state in the process of implementing the New Education Policy (NEP).

He also assured that no Anganwadi centre will be closed and clarified that the changes to the education system are being implemented after taking these two factors into consideration.

Reddy instructed the officials that two types of schools should be set up. The first one consisting of preparatory classes 1 and 2 should be within a kilometre’s distance from the students. Other schools from Class 3 to Class 10 should be located within a distance of 3 km from the students.

“The main purpose of this policy is to keep the teacher-student ratio rational, as it’s not appropriate to have one teacher for four students or a single teacher for a large number of students. The approach of a single teacher teaching all the subjects is also incorrect,” he said.

According to the Chief Minister, it is important to maintain a balanced teacher-student ratio in the foundation courses, as mental development is essential for children below the age of eight years.

The Chief Minister said the government aims to provide quality education, and called for the state’s education policy to be in sync with the NEP.

Likewise, he said the government is also looking forward to offering quality education in English medium.

Reviewing the Nadu-Nedu scheme, Reddy directed the officials to prepare an action plan to complete the scheme’s work in the Anganwadi centres in two years’ time.

Jagan’s dilemma: Christian from Centra Andhra or Muslim from Rayalaseema?

1

If it was TDP which turned social engineering into its credo for political success in the Telugu states, the YSRCP has taken it to the next level. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been very careful about fine balancing castes and regions. He has taken extra precautions to ensure that all the major communities in the state are satisfied about their political representation.

He is said to be factoring caste and religious equations in choosing the chairperson and deputy chairperson of the Legislative Council. Now that chairperson and TDP leader MA Sharief has come to an end, Jagan has to choose a new chairperson. Sources say that Jagan is studying all caste equations deeply.

Sources say that the post might go either to a person from the scheduled castes or from the minority community. They say that Jagan is consulting key leaders of the party on this. The choice could be between Moshen Raju of West Godavari and Iqbal of Hindupuram. One is from the Cental Coastal region while the other is from Rayalaseema. The speaker of the assembly Tammineni Sitara is from North Andhra and he is from the BC community.

Insiders say that if Moshen Raju, a Dalit and a Christian is made the chairperson, then Iqbal, a Muslim from Rayalaseema, would be made the deputy chairperson. If it is Iqbal, then Moshen Raju would be his deputy. Who would be the chief and who would be the deputy chairperson would be decided very soon sources say.

Jagan has initially toyed with the idea of completely abrogating the legislative council. But, within a couple of months, his party would secure the majority. So he has dropped the idea of abrogating it. He is now trying to rehabilitate several leaders, who could not be given MLA tickets in 2019 elections.

HC stays Andhra Group 1 examination interviews

0

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday issued a four-week stay on the conduct of the state Public Service Commission Group 1 examination interviews that were scheduled to begin from Thursday.

After hearing eight petitions that were filed in the matter alleging irregularities in the conduct of the Group 1 mains examination, the court in its interim order issued a four-week stay on the interview process.

Following the court stay, the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has postponed the interview process by four weeks, stating that fresh dates will be announced shortly.

On Tuesday, the court had reserved its judgement after hearing arguments on the matter.

The petitioners’ lawyers had contended that the mains examination was not conducted properly. They also claimed that the candidates were not informed in advance about digital evaluation of answer sheets.

They have also objected to the evaluation of Telugu medium answer sheets within the state, while English medium answer sheets were evaluated outside the state.

The government lawyer, on his part, argued that the examination was conducted as per the rules.

Did Maoist medical needs lead to Vizag encounter?

The Wednesday encounter in the Theegalametta in Vizag agency area, in which six Maoists, including Maoist medical wing head Sande Gangaiah, has once again highlighted the serious health issues that the underground Maoists are facing. With the security forces tightening the medical supply routes, many Maoists are facing a tough time getting medicines.

Sande Gangaiah, the head of the Maoist medical wing, went into the Koyyuru agency to supply some key medicines. The police got a tip-off and laid a trap for him. Many Maoists are suffering from age-related ailments and other diseases that are caused by water contamination and stale food. Kidney, liver and heart ailments too are taking their tolls. Malaria, Japanese Encephalitis and skin diseases are very common among the Maoists.

The security forces have kept a tab on the medical dispensaries in and around the agency area to ensure that the Maoists do not get medicines. Any large purchase of chloroquine needs to be informed to the police.

Hence the Maoists have constituted a medical wing to ensure supply of essential medicines. Sande Gangaiah is connected with this wing, according to the police.

To add to these, Covid is now proving to be quite deadly. At least 100 Maoists are said to be suffering from Covid symptoms. Recently, CPI Maoists Party’s divisional committee secretary Madhukar has died in the Osmania Hospital while undergoing treatment for Covid. Madhukar was arrested while being treated in a private hospital. He was later shifted to the Osmania University, where he died. Even Central Committee members such as Katakam Sudarshan and Thippiri Tirupati were said to be suffering from Covid. The Government is ensuing that no Maoist gets an admission in any hospital.

The police are using these health issues to force the Maoists to surrender. They are assuring the Maoists that they would be provided with proper Covid care and treatment, if they surrender.

To hell with rules, say these IAS officers from Telugu states

0

To hell with rules, we are IAS, this seems to be the attitude of several civil servants. At least 10 IAS officers from both the Telugu states who have not cared to file their IT returns since 2018. While it is mandatory for everyone to file the returns, there officers have not just flouted the rules, but no case has ever been filed against them so far.

As many as eight IAS officers from Andhra Pradesh and six from Telangana have not filed their mandatory IT returns for the FY 2020. Four Telangana IAS officers from Telangana and 10 from AP have not filed their returns for 2019 also. The list of AP officers who have not filed their returns for 2020 includes chief secretary Adityanath Das.

The others are B Rajasekhar, Dhananjay Reddy, R Mahesh Kumar, D Markandeyulu, TK Rama Mani, Basant Kumar, Srinivas Srinaresh. The list in Telangana includes the three district collectors of Siddipet, Khammam and Suryapet.

The rules stipulate that the civil servants will have to furnish details of their immovable assets by the 31st of January every year. Such details have to be given not just for the civil servant alone but for every member of his family. A parliamentary standing committee has recommended strict action against the Babus for not filing their returns. The report said that across the country, as many as 349 IAS officers have not filed their returns for the year 2020. The Modi government is very particular in ensuring accountability of the officers and transparency about their assets. Despite this, the officials have chosen not to file their property details and iT returns.

24L Oxford dictionaries to enhance skills of Andhra students

1

Senior YSRCP leader and Rajya Sabha member V. Vijayasai Reddy said on Wednesday that the state government is distributing 24 lakh Oxford English dictionaries to as many government school students to enhance their English skills.

“As part of the Jagananna Vidya Kanuka scheme, Oxford English dictionaries are being distributed to 23.59 lakh students in an effort to enhance their English skills,” said Reddy.

In a major English push, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is promoting the language that is most in demand professionally across the globe to brighten the employment prospects of the students of the southern state.

The move is aimed at transforming the communication skills of lakhs of students.

Recently, Andhra Pradesh decided to introduce English medium education from the school level to the degree college level.

Meanwhile, Vijayasai Reddy mocked Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu and its general secretary Nara Lokesh, asking the education department to handover a copy of the dictionary to them as well.

He said four dictionaries should be delivered to Naidu, Lokesh, Devineni Umamaheshwar Rao and party’s state president Kinjarapu Atchannaidu.

The TDP had vociferously opposed the idea of introducing English education in the state, alleging that the mother tongue Telugu is getting sidelined and disrespected.

Ruling YSRCP leaders retaliated to this accusation by quizzing the opposition leaders as to from where their children and grandchildren were pursuing their education, whether from English medium or Telugu medium institutions.

According to Vijayasai Reddy, a delegation of 17 senior Telangana officials has appreciated the welfare schemes being implemented in the state.

Following a visit to Krishna district to study these schemes, he said the officials are exploring the possibility of implementing programmes such as Nadu-Nedu in neighbouring Telangana.

Earlier, a delegation of senior Karnataka officials had also visited the Anantapur district to study the grassroots governance system.

‘Centre in favour of setting up petro-chemical corridor in Andhra’

0

Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy on Wednesday said the Central government is in favour of establishing a petro-chemical corridor in the state.

He said the corridor will be set up at a cost of Rs 25,000 crore.

The minister presented the project report on the petrochemical complex to the Centre.

“Met Dharmendra Pradhan and proposed revival plan for PCPIR project in AP. This plan will pave the way for all round industrial development coupled with employment in the region. Also speedy implementation of VCIC corridor by our government to give fillip to investments,” said Reddy.

On completing the project, Reddy believes that as many as 50 lakh jobs can be created, including investments flowing into the petro-chemical field in the coming 2-3 years.

Reddy said up to Rs 30,000 crore of investment can be expected in the East coast corridor.

Including the participation of allied industries and the plans of the state and central governments getting executed as decided, the minister said up to Rs 2 lakh crore investments are expected.

The industries minister is also anticipating investments in the ethanol sector, considering the Centre raising ethanol blending in petrol to 20 per cent from 10 per cent recently.

He said the Centre gave the green signal for a Rs 1,000 cr green field refinery to produce ethanol from molasses arriving from sugar factories.

Likewise, the state and central officials will prepare a plan for the viability gap funding. AP chief secretary and industries secretary will prepare the plan of action and the project work will start after receiving the Centre’s assent.

Following his meeting with the minister, Pradhan said, “Delightful meeting Goutham Reddy. We had detailed discussions on strengthening oil, gas and petrochemical infrastructure in the state to give a boost to employment and economic growth.”

Andhra govt hiking taxes to funds freebies: BJP

1

Andhra Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday held statewide protests against the ‘tax hike’ by the state government and alleged that it was doing so to fund the freebies.

Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member G.V.L. Narasimha Rao alleged that the Andhra government was doling out freebies on the one hand and raising taxes on the other.

“Doling out freebies on the one hand and raising taxes on the other hand, Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) government is breaking the back of the common man. BJP has organised a statewide protest to oppose these anti-public policies,” said Rao.

As part of the protest, the BJP leaders and cadres protested at municipal corporations, municipalities and nagar panchayat offices across the southern state.

Party state president Somu Veerraju participated in the protest programme at Rajamahendravaram, where he demanded that the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led the government to rescind the new tax policies. “Doling out freebies for vote bank and raising taxes for currency,” alleged Veerraju.

Meanwhile, Navataram Party founder Rao Subhramanyam attacked the BJP for questioning the government’s freebies to the poor people.

“It is incorrect on the part of BJP leaders to be intolerable towards free schemes for the poor. There would be no problem if they protested tax hike but why are BJP leaders crying when AP government is giving free schemes to the poor,” questioned Subhramanyam.

He also questioned if the free schemes being doled out by the BJP are also wrong?

According to the Navataram Party president, it is the right of poor people to receive free schemes from the government and quizzed the BJP leaders if they do not know this simple fact?

Observing that protests against free schemes question the very survival of the BJP party, he termed this endeavour as a publicity stunt.

According to Subhramanyam, the BJP has devised this programme to show that the party exits post Tirupati Parliamentary bypoll drubbing and noted that the protest programme will only bring disgrace to the party leaders.

Navataram party recently contested the Tirupati bypoll under the glass tumbler emblem, which is the official party symbol of BJP’s local ally Janasena, led by actor-politician Pawan Kalyan.

Despite several efforts, BJP and Janasena failed to restrain minnow Navataram Party from contesting the bypoll under that symbol as it ran the risk of confusing voters.

Lokesh begins youth outreach, looks leaner, more communicative

Nara Lokesh is slowly but surely trying to reach out to youth, students and women in a systematic manner. With Corona restrictions and lockdowns trying him down to his residence, he has begun an outreach programme online to interact with the youth, most of whom would become voters by 2024.

These outreach programmes, which began a week ago are aimed at repackaging himself. A leaner, tee-shirt clad, bearded Lokesh is trying to talk to the students, especially the girl students. He is raising right questions such as lack of jobs and the YSRCP government’s plans to hold examinations despite Covid restriction. On June 10, he interacted with youths on the issue of unemployment. On June 16, he interacted with intermediate students, whose exams have been postponed.

Lokesh tried to allay the fears of the students about the Covid uncertainties. Using the online platform, he attacked the YSRCP government. He called education minister Adimulam Suresh as a confusion minister and termed YS Jagan as ‘mental mama.’

This programme, which was aired on all major TV channels and their YouTube versions, tried to position Lokesh as a communicative , youth friendly and concerned leader. In a clever move, Lokesh covered up the shortcomings in his speech by speaking mostly in English. Secondly, he tried free chatter to endear himself to the youths.

This surely must be one of the strategies suggested by poll spin doctor Robin Sharma, who is advising the TDP. But the response seems to be encouraging. The general feedback is that Lokesh needs to improve his looks. He has become too lean these days. The lean frame is gawky and he needs to work out on this, said PR and image-making experts.

Suspended judge Rama Krishna granted bail by AP High Court

1

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday granted ‘conditional bail’ to junior civil judge S.Rama Krishna, who is under suspension.

Judge Rama Krishna of Chittoor District was arrested in April this year on charges of trying to incite hatred among the people against the constitutionally elected Andhra Pradesh Government and AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Rama Krishna was booked by the Pileru Police under section 124A of the Indian Penal Code.

Rama Krishna challenged his arrest in the AP High Court.

The High Court which heard the petition granted him conditional bail. The court directed him to cooperate with investigation officials and not to speak to the media on this case.

The case was registered against Rama Krishna for his remarks during a discussion on a TV channel on April 12 where he spoke against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy terming him to “narakasura”. Jayarama Chandraiah complained about this & sections 153 & 153A were also registered against Ramakrishna along with Section 124A.

Judge Ramakrishna was furious at the arrest. Ramakrishna had lodged a complaint with the Pileru police alleging that the CM YS Jagan had made similar remarks stating that Chandrababu should be shot dead during the 2018 Nandyal by-election.

Andhra CM unveils annual credit plan outlay of Rs 2.8L cr

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday unveiled the state’s annual credit plan outlay of Rs 2.83 lakh crore during the 215th state level bankers’ committee (SLBC) meeting.

Out of the total credit plan, 54 per cent will be channeled into the agriculture sector with a target to disburse loans worth Rs 1.48 lakh crore. The state plans to provide Rs 2.13 lakh crore as loans to the primary sector.

Despite the imposition of curfew in view of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, Reddy said Andhra Pradesh crossed the stipulated target of loan disbursement and noted that 105 per cent of the target was achieved in priority sectors, including 114 per cent in agriculture sector.

Thanking the role of banks in achieving this growth rate, Reddy said, “They have exceeded the stipulated targets in loan disbursement.”

Meanwhile, Union Bank Chief Executive and Managing Director Raj Kiran Roy said the southern state has emerged as one of the top performing states in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for 2020, according to the rankings released by Niti Aayog.

“Banks should focus on supporting tenant farmers and providing services in RBKs,” said Roy, highlighting that for a target of Rs 1.87 lakh crore for the primary sector, Rs 1.96 lakh crore worth loans were disbursed.

Roy said the target for the agriculture sector was Rs 1.28 lakh crore while Rs 1.46 lakh crore loans were sanctioned.

Similarly, the MSME sector received loans worth Rs 40,312 crore, exceeding the target of Rs 39,600 crore, while the non-priority sector received Rs 60,652 crore worth loans compared to a target of Rs 60,050 crore.

The Union Bank chief also requested Reddy to prioritise vaccinating bank employees.

Andhra announces Rs 25L ex-gratia for doctors falling prey to Covid

0

The principal secretary of Andhra Pradesh’s health and family welfare department, Anil Kumar Singhal, on Monday issued an order sanctioning an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh to all the regularly employed doctors in the event they succumb to Coronavirus while discharging Covid duties.

“The government after careful examination hereby accords permission to the district collectors in the state for the sanction of an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh to the immediate dependents of the deceased regular employees who were drafted to Covid duties and were exposed to Covid,” said Singhal.

The government adjudged an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh for the doctors, Rs 20 lakh for the staff nurses, and Rs 10 lakh for male and female nurse orders (MNO/FNO) and other staff.

Set to benefit the dependents of the employees, this ex-gratia will be in addition to the benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package insurance scheme.

“The dependents receiving any benefit under any other scheme are also eligible for the ex-gratia,” he said.

However, the deceased employee should have succumbed to Covid while discharging Covid duties inside a Covid hospital, Covid Care Centre or while visiting the home of an infected person.

Likewise, a Covid positive certificate and death certificate stating that the death was due to Covid are mandatory.

According to Singhal, dependents of the employees awaiting declaration of their probation are also eligible for the ex-gratia.

“This ex-gratia is in addition to any other benefit from insurance companies, organisations and institutions and other statutory payments by the Central/state government,” Singhal noted.

Respective district collectors have been entrusted with the responsibility of verifying the relevant documents before sanctioning the ex-gratia.

In less than a week after Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas assured the state’s junior doctors of meeting their demands, Singhal issued the order on ex-gratia.

However, there is no clarity if Kandikatla Rosy, a house surgeon at Eluru’s Ashram Hospital who succumbed to Covid while discharging Covid duties, emerged as the first beneficiary of this benefit, as was demanded by the junior doctors.

Andhra govt is under-reporting Covid deaths: TDP

0

Telugu Desam Party national general secretary and Andhra Pradesh opposition leader Nara Lokesh on Monday alleged that the state government is hiding the actual number of Covid deaths to deny paying compensation.

“We have been saying this from the beginning – the YSRCP government is shamelessly covering up deaths to deny compensation in the future. The latest figures have shocked us,” alleged Lokesh, citing a media report.

According to the data shared by the TDP’s second in command, more than 1 lakh deaths occurred in May but only 2,938 were categorized as Covid deaths.

From the beginning of the pandemic until Sunday, the AP government officially reported that 11,940 people have succumbed to the virus.

Meanwhile, Lokesh wrote to Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, requesting his immediate intervention in the ‘opaque and highly questionable practices of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC)’, pertaining to the Group I selections.

“The conduct of the Constitutional body (APPSC), some of whose members were appointed by your office in the past two years, has led to aspirants of Group I examination to approach the High Court,” he wrote.

Lokesh demanded a thorough enquiry by a sitting judge to ‘restore trust and legitimacy’ on APPSC.

Raju’s exclusion from YSRCP website takes a new turn!

1

YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju continues to trouble his party.

This time, over removal of his name from YSRCP official website.

The YSRCP has listed the names of all its Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members on its website.

Raju’s name was also there on this website all these days. But his name disappeared from the list all of a sudden on Saturday.

This made Raju angry who immediately dashed off a letter to YSRCP chief and Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

In the letter, Raju sought clarity from party chief to tell whether he has been dismissed from YSRCP.

Raju gave 48-hours time for Jagan to respond on this issue else he will file a petition with Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla to declare him as “Independent MP”.

Raju said the removal of his name from YSRCP MP’s list amounts to dismissal from the party and he will become Indepedent MP.

The anti-defection law will not attract Independent MPs. If Raju is declared as Independent MP, the YSRCP cannot even seek his disqualification for anti party activities or if he joins another party.

Buggana humiliated at Tirupati airport!

1

Andhra Pradesh finance minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy faced humiliation at Tirupati Renigunta airport on Sunday.

Buggana went to airport to bid farewell to union minister of railways Piyush Goyal.

Piyush Goyal was in Tirupati to have darshan of Lord Venkateshwara.

He had darshan of the Lord during VIP darshan on Sunday morning.

After having darshan, Piyush Goyal returned to Tirupati airport.

Buggana rushed to airport to meet Piyush Goyal, submit few representations of AP government on pending railway lines, and also to bid farewell to the minister.

However, the airport security officials stopped Buggana at VIP gate saying that he has no permission to enter the airport and meet union minister.

Though Buggana repeatedly told them that he is a state minister, the security personnel ignored him.
