Court fires on police over NBW against Jana Sena MLA

0

The East Godavari police booked a non-bailable case against Razole MLA Rapaka Vara Prasad for alleged attack on the Malikipuram police station. Accordingly, the police took the MLA and produced him before the Razole Munsif Magistrate who refused to hear the case. The Magistrate took strong objection to the manner in which an MLA elected by the people was arrested under non-bailable sections.

The East Godavari police officers were shocked at the development. They were left with no choice but to move the MLA back to Razole and give him station bail. Already, Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan passed critical comments on the police overreacting and producing the MLA before the court instead of giving him station bail.

The court response, Senani comments and Nellore YCP MLA assault incident pushed the government and the police into an embarrassing situation.

Pawan fires on Jagan Circar over MLA case

0

Jana Senani has threatened to himself take up an agitation if the police officials do not solve Razole Jana Sena MLA case in an acceptable manner. Pawan Kalyan accused the police of complicating and overreacting on a simple issue which could have been avoided with some positive attitude. He asked Jagan Circar and the police what action they have initiated against YCP MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy for assaulting and threatening senior journalist N Dolendra Prasad.

The East Godavari police booked a case against Razole MLA Rapaka Vara Prasad and his followers on charges of attacking Malikipuram police station and abusing the local SI. It all started after the SI refused to release some persons arrested for playing cards. The police top brass took serious view of the incident and launched a man-hunt for arresting the MLA. He surrendered and he is being presented before the court.

The incident triggered mixed reactions against police action. The same police are acting as silent spectators to the excesses and atrocities of YCP MLAs and MPs. Why are these tough police officers so afraid of YCP regime to even protect the rights of opposition workers? Senani appealed to the Sainiks to maintain self-control in this moment of crisis.

JD Laksminarayana pledges loyalty to Senani

0

Rumours are circulating for several days on CBI Ex JD Lakshminarayana leaving the Jana Sena party soon. It is because his name has not figured in key committees formed by Pawan Kalyan recently. Moreover, Lakshminarayana is also maintaining a low profile for various reasons. As the issue is slipping out of control, Lakshminarayana has finally clarified that he will not leave Jana Sena as long as Pawan has trust in him.

Jana Sena is facing a lot of crisis ever since its less than expected performance in 2019 election. It had left a very negative impact on second-rung leadership with some of them already leaving the party to join YCP or BJP. But everybody is surprised at the rumours about Laksminarayana who got good vote share in Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat in last election. Jana Sainiks are alarmed as the exit of Lakshminarayana would definitely cause a big blow to the party as a whole. JD’s clarification has now come as a major relief for Jana Sena at a very crucial time.

Are Pawan’s apologetic speeches bothering Sainiks?

0

These days, Pawan Kalyan doesn’t conclude any speech without elaborately explaining why he would not shut down or merge his party. He is giving long clarifications to Jana Sainiks how his party is different from Praja Rajyam Party. Senani is going on asserting that from one MLA in the Assembly, his party will grow in strength to capture the entire House in future. He asserts that he is not depressed by the electoral disaster nor will he ever be shattered by defeat.

During his current visit to flood-hit West Godavari also, Pawan went on delivering speeches on his commitment to continue his party even if he got support of one single Sainik. Is he talking from the strength of a confidence? or is he trying to put confidence in the party cadres in the face of mounting confusion and doubts within the party?

Whatever his intention, the Jana Sainiks are left a worried lot by their leader’s apologetic speeches. Analysts say that there are only three sections of followers for Pawan. They are his die-hard fans, part of his Kapu community and some aspiring career politicians. Despite his charisma, Jana Sena could get just 6 per cent vote share in the very first election it contested. Many Jana Sena leaders are having doubts over the party’s political future if it goes alone. They have advised Senani to think of a merger but Pawan is sticking to his ideology and his commitment never to allow Jana Sena to meet PRP fate. A really tough time to face for Senani and Sainiks as well.

Jana Sainiks are still with me, says Pawan

0

Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan has ruled out the possibility of ever merging his party with the Bharatiya Janata Party or any other party. If he had become an MP during Praja Rajyam Party time, he would have prevented the merger of PRP with the Congress party. Pawan asserted that the merger of Jana Sena would not happen even after his death. The defeat in elections has not discouraged the Jana Sainiks who are still with me and who are strongly believing in my leadership, he added.
During his visit to the Godavari districts, Jana Sainiks in large numbers accompanied Senani which has given him redoubled confidence. The defeat is temporary and the victory will come ultimately whether it takes a decade or so. Pawan’s statements have enthused the party workers.

Pawan has also asserted that the victory of YCP could be possible only because of the Jana Sena contesting the elections separately. The same spirit would continue and there would be no question of diluting the party ideology. Pawan asserted that he was inspired by the teachings of socialist thinkers and revolutionaries. This is why nothing will make him deviate from his path in the political field.

Did Senani insult Telangana Armed Struggle martyrs?

0

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders held surprise protests in Hyderabad in front of Pawan Kalyan’s residence and office. They demanded withdrawal of certain remarks allegedly made by Jana Senani insulting martyrs and hurting the Telangana people’s sentiments. They also made a police complaint at Jubilee Hills. However, Pawan stuck to his stand and tried hard to defend his statement.

Jana Sena Party Tweeted clarification in which Pawan asserted the fact that the then regime tried to use total prohibition to suppress the Telangana Armed Struggle. But that strategy did not work out as it would always be very difficult to implement prohibition in the field level. Senani said that this could be ascertained from the historical records available on the Armed Struggle.

Pawan made these comments on liquid ban in view of the Jagan Reddy government’s move to implement prohibition in Andhra. He is on a tour in East Godavari district. He has been criticising YCP on sand shortage and other issues. He has got good relations with the TRS leaders. Political circles are surprised at the TRS protests over some casual remarks.

Has Padayatra sentiment gripped Jana Senani?

The Jana Sainiks are singing a new tune these days. They are having new hopes because of the latest and emerging political situations in Andhra. Sainiks are of the opinion that in just two months, Jagan Circar has become badly unpopular because of its impractical and irresponsible policies. TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu is already given a chance to rule and he is rejected. Sainiks think that now is the chance for their Senani to fill the political vaccum and emerge as a strong alternative by 2002 Jamili elections.

The immediate strategy before the Senani is to go into the people and agitate for their cause and their rights. This is the right time for Pawan Kalyan to undertake a state-wide Padayatra. The Jana Sainiks think that it was through Padayatra alone that YSR Rajasekhara Reddy became Chief Minister. Later, Chandrababu Naidu and Jaganmohan Reddy used the same Padayatra mantra and formed their governments.

The Padayatra has become almost a sentiment like Telangana sentiment and Andhra sentiment. The issue is under intense debate internally in Jana Sena. Even Senani is also under the impression that he should do something more to take advantage of the already anti-YCP feelings among the people.

Lack of sand hit Jana Sena office works

0

Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan has said that due to lack of sand availability, the building works at their party office at Mangalagiri in Amaravati Capital City area have been stopped. He has given 100 days time for the ruling YCP to address the problems of the people. After that, the Jana Sena will raise its voice and expose the government on its omissions and commissions. Senani said that there is a severe shortage of sand in the state. If the problems of the people are not solved, Jana Sena will begin agitations soon. Interestingly, CM Jaganmohan Reddy has reviewed the sand situation and asked District Collectors to make sure its availability. The government’s policy will take effect from September. There will be some problems until then.

Talking about his party stand, Pawan said that both YCP and TDP came forward for an alliance with his party at the time of elections but he decided to go it alone. It was purely a political decision. There are reports that Senani is very serious to activate his party machinery and emerge as an alternative.

Pawan accompanied by his party leaders including Nadendla Manohar and Naga Babu met with Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan in Amaravati. He discussed the latest political situation in the state and his party ideology. It was a courtesy call as Pawan could not take part in the Governor’s swearing-in function due to pressing engagements.

Pawan Kalyan running out of political options?

0

For a variety of reasons, actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan is facing the same tricky fate like that of his brother Chiranjeevi in political field. Just like Praja Rajyam Party, Pawan’s Jana Sena Party is also unable to make a stronger impact which is necessary for attracting big vote banks to win majority to form government. But it is having its own vote share which is enough to make or mar the winning chances of other parties.

Given the emerging political scenario, Pawan is not having immediate big prospects of rising as a strong alternative in AP. Moreover, there is expected to be very few chances for new regional parties once the Modi-Shah duo went ahead with their 2022 Jamili One Nation One Election. Event the existing regional parties are facing many difficulties to counter the political onslaught of the BJP as of now.

Against this backdrop, the question of Pawan likely to merge his party is coming up again and again. He is taking lot of pains to explain his commitment to political ideologies and why he will not dilute his party for narrow gains. A national party has recently approached him to merge his party. Political circles say that it is the BJP which is still keeping hopes of winning over Kapu vote bank totally. But Pawan has already committed himself to the Left parties and pro-poor secular ideals which is something against the spirit of BJP. There is the threat of Jana Senani running out of political options and becoming a marginalised force in front of bigger players.

Pawan and Nadendla meet TS governor Narasimhan

0

Janasena sources are saying that this meeting is just a formal meeting as Narasimhan recently vacated from the position of Andhra Pradesh governor. Janasena party officially released a statement that they have discussion with governor about various issues that concern the development of the state as well as the country. However, the meeting assumed importance in political circles because of the proximity Narasimhan enjoys with high level leadership of BJP. It is known news that BJP national leader Ram Madhav recently had one to one discussion with Pawan Kalyan at TANA association meeting in the United States of America. Also there are various rumours circulating among political circles about the offer proposed by BJP to Janasena.

We’ll have to wait and see what is the real motive behind this meeting.

Janasena – Communists alliance to continue or to break?

0

Is Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena party going to break the alliance with Communists before local elections? Did the alliance with communists did more harm than good to Janasena? At least, is that the opinion among the think tank of Janasena? Same is going to be the case with BSP as well? The answer seems to be “Yes” as per the grapevine in political circles. Details as below.

2009 vote statistics prompted Pawan to ally with Comrades:

Chiranjeevi’s PRP won around 17% votes in the state of united AP and in more than 20 constituencies, it lost with less than 10 thousand votes, which corresponds to approximately. So, it was felt that proper alliances with other parties that have a standard vote percentage around 1-2% would have made a difference to the fate of Chiranjeevi’s PRP. They were of the opinion that Congress got just 7 seats more than the magic number (148) to form the government and had Chiranjeevi’s PRP won any 7 seats out of those 20+ seats that lost with 1% margin, AP politics would have been different by now.

2009 vote percentage statistics:

PartyVote Percentage
Indian National Congress36.60%
TDP28.10%
PRP16.70%
CPI1.31%
CPM1.35%

Allying with Communists and BSP cost Pawan huge:

Probably because of the same reasons, almost 3 years ahead of 2019 elections, Pawan Kalyan allied himself with communists. Moreover, Janasena thinks tank thought that Mayawati’s BSP that got 2.1% in 2018 Telangana assembly election also will improve Janasena prospects. However, the strategy did not work out in 2019 AP assembly elections.

PartyVote Percentage
YSRCP49.90%
TDP39.20%
Janasena6.80%
CPI0.11%
CPM0.32%
BSP0.28%

It is very clear that Pawan’s strategy miserably backfired as CPI, CPM and BSP all together got 0.71% votes. It was surprising to see the strength of communists drastically coming down compared to 2014. In 2014, CPI got 0.5% and CPM got 0.8%. Same is the case with BSP. All these three parties put together had around 2% vote bank in 2014, but they could garner only 0.71% (together) in 2019.

Another reason for Janasena core team considering the breaking up with communists is the adamant attitude displayed by CPI leadership during the seat-sharing and asking for the seats where Janasena had better candidates. Probably, because of these reasons, Janasena leaders are convinced to fight alone in upcoming election battles irrespective of results. As of now, there is no official statement on continuing or breaking up Janasena-Communists alliance. We will have to wait and see whether this alliance will continue or not

Jana Sena sensational comment on Budget

0

Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena released its official comment on the Budget. It commented that there’s no balance between welfare and development in the first Budget presented by Buggana Rajendranath Reddy. Jana Sena asked what would happen to the future scope for development projects if it’s totally neglected now.

Jana Sena had also demanded that the names of national leaders and statesmen should be given to the big projects. It wanted greater funds to be allocated for the zero-interest loans to be provided to the farmers and women.

BJP has also taken objection to the Budgetary allocations. The party said that Jaganmohan Reddy has ignored fulfilling the election promises.

I will not merge Jana Sena with BJP, says Pawan

0

Jana Senani said that he had no personal rivalry with the Bharatiya Janata Party nor any leader from that party. He pointed out that he had worked with that party in the past. Pawan Kalyan clarified that his only confrontation with the BJP was for the demands and aspirations of Andhra people. His fight for the Special Status and other promises made to AP would continue regardless of the hurdles in that path.

Pawan had to give long explanations on his party’s future political plans because of the rumours circulating on his meeting with BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav. Senani did not further given any hints on what transpired between him and BJP senior leader.

There were debates in the media that both the leaders discussed the present political scenario in Andhra and the style of working of the Jagan Reddy government. What are their impressions on the YCP’s regime? They have not given any indications. Pawan has issued serious comments against Jagan during his speeches in TANA conference. He went to the extent of asking why he should be afraid of defeat when those jailed for sometime are freely moving around outside. Analysts say that Pawan is making quick steps to prepare for 2022 Jamili elections and he may tie up with like-minded parties to counter YCP.

BJP renewed efforts to win over Jana Senani?

BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav had a chance to meet with Jana Senani privately during the ongoing TANA conference in America. They reportedly discussed on the latest and emerging political situation in Telugu states. But BJP leaders are triggering rumours that their party has once again started efforts to win over Pawan Kalyan. Their thinking is that Senani may change his mind over working with the BJP because of the disaster in recent election.

Jana Sena got only 70 per cent vote share with just one MLA in AP Assembly. The BJP’s show is far more miserable as it got less than one per cent share with no MLA won. Since then, the BJP decided to change their party strategies. They brought in Kanna Laxminarayana as the party AP President to attract a good chunk of the Kapu votes but that did not give any positive results.

Now, the BJP has started the game afresh. First, they tried to bring in Chiranjeevi who appeared to have said a polite no to his political re-entry. Whereas, it is a different thing with Pawan Kalyan. He has asserted that he will continue in politics for over 25 years regardless of political outcomes. The BJP strongly feels that if Pawan joins their party, it will become a very strong force in Andhra enough to counter rival parties. Even if Jana Sena works as a friendly party, the BJP will get a big boost.

Nagababu head of Jana Sainiks coordination

0

Pawan Kalyan is moving forward with new ideas to enthuse and motivate his party cadres. He is almost shocked at the far less than expected performance in last elections. Now, Jana Senani has realised the need for bridging the gap between himself and Jana Sainiks. For this, a state-level coordination committee is being planned for which his brother Nagababu is considered as the head.

Pawan is going to America soon to take part in the TANA celebrations. On his return, he plans to test more ideas for strengthening the party. As of now, Jana Sena is of the view that there is an undoubted charisma for Jana Senani among the fans and activists. The only thing is to channelise and turn them into an organised, effective force.

The general view is that Chiranjeevi is not likely to return to politics despite the continuing hard efforts by the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders. It would have been indeed a big challenge for Pawan if his big brother joins the BJP and becomes the Chief Ministerial candidate for 2022 Jamili elections. Jana Sainiks are under the notion that there would be no Chiranjeevi-Pawan clash in politics. Amid this, Nagababu’s coordination became all the more important in the field level.

Why won’t TDP Kapu leaders join Jana Sena?

0

After TDP’s disaster in 2019 election, there was speculation that ex MLAs and ex MPs belonging to Kapu community may mostly migrate to Jana Sena Party or ruling YCP. But the recent indications are clear that the Kapu leaders will mostly continue within TDP in view of the prevailing political situation. They cannot join YCP just because there is no further scope for them in that party. Then Jana Sena is the next alternative for them.

These Kapu leaders are under pressure from within their community and from their followers to join Pawan Kalyan party as TDP has lost its strength. They have considered and discussed this with their advisors and well-wishers. The final view that emerged was that only TDP has better future than Jana Sena.

All said and done, Pawan’s ideology and political philosophy doesn’t fit into the existing political set-up. They are thinking that Pawan has no winning political formula as he is allying with Left parties and BSP. On the other hand, Kapu leaders consider BJP as a party which is facing identity crisis in Andhra despite its prolonged presence here. Analysts say that TDP Kapu leaders will mostly wait and watch till a better alternative to Chandrababu emerges in the Opposition. Otherwise, they will remain loyal to TDP.

Vangaveeti Radha into Janasena?

0

Vangaveeti Radha, prominent Kapu leader in the state, is all set to join Janasena, as per reports. Today Radha met Pawan Kalyan at Janasena office and had one to one meeting with Pawan for more than an hour. With this rumors started among political circles about joining Janasena officially in couple of days.

Vangaveeti Radha, son of Vangaveeti Mohan Ranga, joined PRP in the initial days when Chiranjeevi floated. However, later he joined YSRCP. Just before 2019 elections, he deserted YSRCP and joined TDP but he didn’t get ticket from TDP. As there have been rumors about BJP on the mission of destroying TDP in the state, some TDP leaders are planning to shift the loyalties. Meanwhile, Radha meeting Pawan generated curiosity among political circles.

Even though Radha lost his charisma with his somersaults from one party to other several times, he still has good strength at field level in Vijayawada central, which is the constituency of Bonda Uma. In 2019 elections, most of the Kapus in this constituency voted for Bonda Uma rather than CPM (Janasena ally) candidate.

We will have to wait and see if Radha really joins Janasena and whether his joining will help Janasena
