The latest schedule of Bhagavanth Kesari commenced in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Balakrishna after a short break due to Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest returned back to the sets of the film. The entire shooting portions of Bhagavanth Kesari will be completed with this schedule. The film will hit the screens as per the plan on October 19th during the Dasara holiday season. The teaser is a massive hit and Bhagavanth Kesari is carrying massive expectations.
Successful director Anil Ravipudi is helming this mass entertainer. Kajal is the heroine and Sree Leela plays the daughter of Balakrishna in Bhagavanth Kesari. Even though Manchu family’s over-action was unbearable at many points, NBK made the show watchable with his impeccable hosting skill and spontaneity. It was the first time Balayya joined hands with Allu Aravind and the show was already a super hit. With this, rumours started about Balayya doing a film with Allu Aravind soon.
In 1980s and90s, Geetha arts banner produced 90% of the films with mega star Chiranjeevi. It also produced films mostly with mega family heroes though occasionally produced films like 100% love and Ghazni with other heroes. However, the banner had never produced films with Nandamuri family heroes. But now , it seems, NBK immensely liked the working style of Allu Aravind and is ready to do a film in his banner. Reportedly, Allu Aravind is in hunt for a good story now. If everything goes well, movie may go to the sets by next summer.

Bala Krishna was giving interview to a channel yesterday. As Movie artists Association elections is the hot topic nowadays, reporter asked Bala Krishna to respond on the same in that interview . Bala Krishna started his response with a piece of advice to his fellow artists. He said, movie industry itself is a glamour industry and so we should not expose our internal differences to the media. But in the next minute, he started targeting other artists by questioning them about why can’t they get 1 acre land from Telangana government despite playing doodle doodle to the government. Even though media missed this self contradiction, netizens did not. They Commented on social media that Bala Krishna is asking others not to discuss the differences in front of media but he himself is not following the same.
Another point that drew the ire of netizens is that, he is blaming other artists for not getting land from government while he did not do anything for movie artistes Association building or land when his party was in power. There is another point that netizens are seriously confused about i e. why government has to give land to Movie artistes Association building. Government land is property of people. Movie heroes are earning crores of rupees from remuneration and if all of them contribute a little bit, it is not a big deal for them to buy 1 acre land but Bala Krishna suggesting others to get that labs from government. Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu are teaming up for the third time and the first roar from the movie received an exceptional response from the audience. The film that comes with the tag of BB3 is made on a budget of Rs 60 crores. Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu together are said to be taking Rs 25 crores home for the film as their remuneration. Boyapati planned to spend a major portion of the remaining budget for the making. That is the reason, the makers of the film never approached a star actress.
Prayaga Martin and Poorna are finalized as the leading ladies in this untitled film. Prayaga Martin is paid Rs 20 lakhs while Poorna is taking home Rs 12 lakhs for the film. Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 105th film got its official launch today in a simple manner in Filmnagar temple, Hyderabad. KS Ravikumar will direct this mass entertainer and C Kalyan will bankroll this project. Though the script of the film has been locked long ago, the political scenario in Andhra Pradesh made things change completely. Keeping the script aside, a new script penned by Paruchuri Murali has been locked recently.

Nandamuri Balakrishna after the debacle of NTR – Kathanayakudu is left puzzled about the release of the second installment. Director Krish managed to wrap up the shoot recently and there are wide speculations going on about the film’s release date. Balakrishna asked Krish and Sai Korrapati to arrange a special meeting with the buyers to finalize the release date of NTR – Mahanayakudu.
Going with the trend, the makers decided to offer the theatrical rights of NTR – Mahanayakudu for free as the buyers lost huge amounts betting on NTR – Kathanayakudu. Biopic on legendary actor NTR is one of the eagerly awaited films this year. Story:
The key element for any biopic is picking up the ‘right span of the life’ to narrate. ‘NTR-Kathanayakudu ‘takes off showcasing Legendary actor NTR’s first job as sub-registrar at Vijayawada, swiftly moves on to his quest for cinema roles in Madras. The film ends at announcing historical TeluguDesam party in 1982. The rise of NTR’s cinema career, circumstances forced him to think about service to society, further incidents which led to announce a political party etc. cover the scope of the film.
Performances:
Balakrishna as NTR has performed well especially as older NTR i.e. 60s age NTR. In few emotional scenes he did good. Entire second half, NBK very much resembles NTR in body language. However, due to age factor, as young NTR of 20s, balakrishna doesn’t appeal good. Vidya Balan as NTR’s wife is pretty decent, did justice to her role. Rana, Sumanth and Kalyanram as CBN, ANR, and Harikrishna are good choices as well. There are many other heroines, character artists’ casting. Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Kaikala, Nitya Menen, Rakul Preet Singh, Hansika, Krish, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore and many others acted in short roles.
Technical:
M M Keeravani, who elevates the emotion of the scene with his background score, at his elements yet again. Apart from good songs, his background score is appreciable. Next best is Sai Madhav Burra’s dialogues are the ones which standout. Cinematography by Gnansekhar V.S. is good. Production design is decent as well. Editing is patchy, many times popular NTR songs come and go without proper lead. Overall length of the film is 10 – 15 minutes longer which is director/editor combined call. As producers NBK, Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Induri spent adequately.
Analysis:
Every bit of NTR’s life has been in public domain for decades, familiar to most of the people in Telugu states. In addition, his ‘cine career’ doesn’t have the melodramatic elements as in ‘Mahanati Savitri’ life. The whole spice elements in NTR’s life were after his political entry (which are out of scope of part-1 biopic). Given these factors, it is a challenging task to write an engaging script for NTR’s cine life. Director Krish, writer Sai Madhav still able to come up with enough tribute film – if not a great tribute.
NTR – Kathanayakudu theme showcases NTR’s rise as a hero, shows incidents influenced his thoughts towards society and finally starting a political party. This 30 + years of his life (1949 to 1982) has been covered touch basing his good qualities – leaving controversial ones aside. Director has been refrained from over-the-top scenes, cinematic elevations and showcased true episodes mostly!
NTR’s portrayal in Lord Srikrishna role, in venkateswara Swamy role, his commitment towards the career, His eldest son’s death context emotional scene etc. came out well. However, Balakrishna as young NTR could not manage to coverup the age difference, but is perfectly able to replicate NTR’s body language as older NTR (60s)
NTR – ANR scenes throughout the film are very nice, it’s been depicted both of them have very friendly relation in cinema life.
Krish has cleverly inserted few scenes to answer criticism on NTR. At some point, they even mention the stiff competition coming from Young heroes Krishna, Shobhanbabu likes against aging NTR. Also, criticism like ‘60 years old NTR dancing with 16 years aged sridevi etc young heroines ‘, has also been addressed in lighter vien.
Charity work done by NTR and ANR in Rayalaseema drought, Diviseema cyclone years also has been covered. In second half, director plays to the galleries to certain extent! It is pleasant to watch when Chandrababu Naidu, Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy were friends
All in all, this film is a good Déjà vu experience through the life of Legend for his fans and sympathisers. Also, this film may appeal for those who doesn’t know much about NTR’s cine life. However, current generation youth may complain the film is flat and/or slow, that is due to director Krish did not try to inject cinematic elevations.
Overall, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Krish and whole team must be appreciated for this gutsy attempt and for not being distortive of facts. First of the film is slow but decent, second half of the film will be completely liked by fans and common audience.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is a busy actor these days. The first part of his tribute to legendary actor NTR is getting ready for release this 9th. He is currently busy with media promotions. Meanwhile, he is gearing up to complete the remaining portion of the second part, which will hit the screens in the first week of February.
Balakrishna and Krish will have no break for Sankranthi festival as they are left with the final schedule of the second part. They will resume shooting on January 12th. The entire shoot will be completed in less than two weeks without any break. While the first part focuses on NTR’s rise to stardom in films, the second part showcases his success in politics of undivided Andhra Pradesh.
The theatrical trailer which has visuals from two parts received a thumping response and Balayya’s avatar in saffron clothes resembling NTR has garnered the eyeballs of audience. The second part is expected to be more riveting due to the political angle in it.
Star director VV Vinayak made an official announcement about his next project on Balakrishna’s birthday. He confirmed that producer C. Kalyan will pool resources for this crazy combination. However, there have been numerous rumours that NBK is not convinced with Vinayak’s script leading to further speculations that the project has been shelved.
Responding on these rumours, Vinayak clarified that his film with Balakrishna is very much on cards and will go on floors once the latter wraps up NTR biopic. Vinayak also revealed that the script work is underway and he will pitch the final draft to NBK very soon.
Vinayak is confident that he can convince Balakrishna with a powerful script despite the embarrassing result of his last outing Intelligent with Sai Dharam Tej. As Balakrishna has also committed to work with Boyapati Srinu in 2019, it remains to be seen when will Vinayak’s film start rolling.
Balakrishna’s most ambitious project NTR, a biopic which glorifies the life history of legendary Telugu star Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, has evoked a stirring response when it was announced few months ago. The project has been officially launched in a grand manner and Teja was supposed to direct it. However, due to some creative differences and personal reasons, Teja opted out of it in the eleventh hour.
After Teja walked out suddenly, Balakrishna was in a dilemma whether to choose another director or to take the responsibility of directing his dream project. Many of Balakrishna’s well-wishers were against his idea of turning director for this highly anticipated project. So, he dropped the directional plans.
After much deliberation, Balakrishna has finally taken a sensible decision by bringing Krish on board for the biopic. Krish is a deft storyteller and has good working relationship with Balakrishna as he previously worked for Gauthamiputra Satakarni. It is well known that Krish has closely involved in the biopic of Savitri. So, his experience will come in handy for the project. Balakrishna also pays heed to Krish’s suggestions very well.
Also, Krish is one who can meet Balakrishna’s time constraints as the biopic is being planned to be released just before the next general elections in Andhra Pradesh.
With compromising on the quality, Krish is capable of completing the film in time and also has the ability to come up with a film that can match the high expectations that are surrounding the film. So, Balakrishna has finally taken a sensible decision by handing over the responsibility to Krish.
