Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s  Bheemla Nayak had a record release across the globe on Friday. Saagar Chandra directed this remake of the Malayalam movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum and Trivikram penned the script and the screenplay. Rana Daggubati played the other lead role and Nithya Menen is the leading lady. Thaman’s music album is already topping the music charts and Sithara Entertainments are the producers.  Here is the film’s review:

Story :

Bheemla Nayak (Pawan Kalyan) is an honest sub-Inspector in the Kurnool district. One night, he apprehends Daniel ‘Danny’ Sekhar (Rana Daggubati), a retired army man, as he transports bottles of liquor in ‘dry’ territory. Danny’s ego is hurt and the clash between the two escalates from verbal altercations to physical confrontations. The rest of the movie is about how Danny tries to extract his revenge on Bheemla Nayak and Nayak’s answer to Danny.

Analysis :

The basic premise of Bheemla Nayak is the ego clash of two strong-willed individuals. In the original film ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ we see more verbal spars than actual physical fights. Bheemla Nayak stays true to the original for the first half of the movie, with the two protagonists turning to blows in the second half. This is a film dripping with the mass appeal of Pawan Kalyan and the impeccable attitude of Rana. The film sets up the two main characters in the opening scenes, giving an idea about their size in terms of ego as well as the extent to which they can go.

The changes made in the second half could be seen as a deviation from the brilliance of the original script, but it is filled with mass elements that cater well to Telugu audiences. The pre-climax twist and the massive flashback are examples; here we see more emphasis on generating mass appealing emotions rather than telling an engaging story itself–this might work best among fans though others might find it a bit repetitive. Pawan Kalyan’s characterization reminds us of his Badri days, so intense and explosive.

The way director Sagar K Chandra ensured the perfect balance and strengths between Pawan Kalyan, and Rana’s characters is visible through the movie. Trivikram’s mark can also be seen, especially with the dialogues and the screenplay. Music Director Thaman has amplified many confrontation moments using background score – a special call-out to the scene where Rana walks alone in a forest accompanied only by his thoughts. Production values by Sithara Entertainments are good. Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamshi has delivered the perfect blend of making

Performances :

Backed by strong characterizations, the characters of Nayak, Danny set a perfect stage for Pawan Kalyan and Rana to deliver intense performances as they completely own the roles of an extreme cop and conceited person with political connections. The supporting cast of Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, and Samudra Khani did a good job in supporting the main duo. Nitya Menen as Nayak’s wife was convincing while Samyuktha Menon played Danny’s wife to perfection

Positives :

• Verbal duels in the first half between Nayak & Danny
• Post interval fight episodes
• Impressive dialogues
• Crisp runtime

• Overdose of action episodes

Verdict : 

‘Bheemla Nayak’ is a commercial potboiler that retains the essence of its original to an extent. The changes made are worked in favor of this film, and fans will go berserk with Pawan Kalyan’s eccentric characterization throughout many scenes. Pawan Kalyan and Rana’s pairing has elevated this clash of the ego-themed movie with their brilliant performances. Overall, Bheemlaa Nayak is a winner !!

No Relief for Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak in AP

The government of Andhra Pradesh is expected to revise the low ticket pricing GO in Andhra Pradesh and the entire film fraternity is waiting for the big announcement. Though the GO is expected to be out before the release of Bheemla Nayak, there are no such signs. The government officials across Andhra Pradesh passed strict instructions to the exhibitors not to screen special shows and benefits shows. They also asked the exhibitors to strictly follow the GO 35 which was issued last year.

Andhra Pradesh will have no special shows and Bheemla Nayak will be screened with morning shows. The government of Telangana granted permission for the fifth show for the film and the special shows are expected to start at 4 AM on February 25th. The permissions are granted for two weeks for the film in the state. The pre-sales in Nizam are exceptional but the exhibitors of AP are yet to open the online sales as there is no clarity on the ticket pricing and the special shows. For now, there would be no relief for Bheemla Nayak in Andhra Pradesh.

Pawan Kalyan – Saagar K Chandra’s Bheemla Naayak is getting ready for a grand release on Feb 25th. Worldwide theatrical rights of the film are valued at 105.5 Cr. This is the second-highest pre-release business for the hero behind Agnyaathavaasi. Advance bookings for the film are good in Nizam & Overseas. Advances in A.P are yet to open full-fledged and there are strict orders from the government to follow the rates in G.O which are as low as 30/-. This G.O has come into place during the release of Vakeel Saab and Bheemla Naayak will be the last one to follow it as the new G.O is expected to come out in the first week of March.

Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak is hitting the screens this Friday across the globe. The pre-release event which was scheduled to take place on Monday was rescheduled for today and it will take place in Yousufguda Police Grounds in Hyderabad. Fans are expected to attend the event in huge numbers for the event. Allu Arjun’s Pushpa pre-release event too took place at the same venue and there was a huge ruckus on the day as there are huge number of passes issued. Thousands of fans could not enter the venue due to the restrictions. Ten thousand passes are issued for a venue which can accommodate 5000 people.

To prevent such unexpected incidents, the cops took the responsibility to issue the passes. The passes issued by the production house for the Monday event are not valid for the today’s event. The cops finalized the number of passes and they are issued by them for the fans. 5000 passes are issued for the pre-release event of Bheemla Nayak. The event will be telecasted live on the YouTube page of Haarika and Hassine Creations. TV channels and other media houses are not allowed for the pre-release event of Bheemla Nayak.

Telangana Ministers KTR and Talasani Srinivas Yadav are the Chief guests for the event. Bheemla Nayak is directed by Saagar Chandra and Sithara Entertainments are the producers.

The pre-release event of Bheemla Nayak which was planned to take place yesterday was postponed because of the untimely demise of AP Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy. The makers today announced that the pre-release event will take place tomorrow evening in Yousufguda Police Grounds. Pawan Kalyan lashes out at AP CM over contentious GO 217 related to fishermen

Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, who participated in a public meeting on Sunday, at Narasapuram, has criticised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on the controversial Government Order 217.

During his speech related to the Government Order 217, Pawan lashed out at the CM for his “egotistic” approach in every issue related to the state.

“Only if I had 10 ministers win on behalf of my political party Janasena, I would make sure such orders are not passed in the Assembly”, Pawan Kalyan said.

Pawan, during his speech addressing the problems faced by the fishermen community, also stated that the government of AP has become a pro in creating an issue, and then making people beg them to solve the issue.

“Where there is no issue, this government introduces a new reform, only to create one. Then, they make people beg to solve the issue and then solve it only for praises, which shows their egotistic attitude”.

Pawan Kalyan also refers to megastar Chiranjeevi’s meeting with Jagan, as he said, “People of any stature need to bend before Jagan. He wants to witness that submissive attitude before solving the issue. That gives much satisfaction to him”.

Earlier, Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, and others had met CM Jagan regarding the movie ticket price issue in AP. A video from their meeting emerged, where Chiranjeevi was seen pleading with Jagan with his hands folded, which seems to have hurt many of his fans.

Pawan is said to have taken the incident personally, as Chiranjeevi is his brother.

“Due to Jagan’s unreasonable display of power, politics and films are being mixed. Which has hurt the feelings of many in the industry, but only Pawan Kalyan has spoken up,” one of his close aides said.

Jana Sena chief and actor Pawan Kalyan held a massive show of strength at Narasapuram in West Godavari district on Sunday (today).

Pawan held a huge rally in support of fishermen community (Gangaputras) and in protest against anti-fishermen policies of YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh.

For the first time, Pawan strongly took up ‘caste specific issue’ to muster the support of fishermen community for Jana Sena. His strategy worked well as thousands of Gangaputra community people gave a rousing reception to Pawan Kalyan all through his yatra route from Rajamahendravaram to Narasapuram.

Pawan lashed out at Jagan government for troubling and harassing fishermen community with GO 217 issued in September 2021 which impacts the livelihood of fishermen. Pawan said CM Jagan brought this ‘Black GO” due to which fishermen community lost their traditional rights on fishing in canals, lakes, rivers, sea. Pawan assured them that he will scrap this GO soon after Jana Sena comes to power in 2024 Assembly polls.

Pawan has set the GO copies on fire as a token of protest and dared Jagan to book cases against him for burning GO copies.

Pawan called upon people to violate the laws and GOs brought by Jagan government which adversely affect them. Pawan said he is ready to go to jail for the cause of fishermen community.

Sources say Aha is planning to buy many more big movies and official announcements will be made once the deals are signed. Acquisition of Bheemla Nayak rights comes just days after Aha entered Tamil OTT space. 

It is learnt Bheemla Nayak has been acquired by Aha for a whopping price and it is biggest buy till date. In the past, Aha streamed big movies like Krack, Love Story and MEB, it may be recalled.

The government of Andhra Pradesh is yet to announce 100 percent occupancy in the theatres though the night curfews are lifted. The makers of Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming movie Bheemla Nayak announced that the film will hit the screens on February 25th and the arrangements are being made. The ticket pricing GO is yet to be revised and there are talks that the big news on this is expected in a week. A grand pre-release event of Bheemla Nayak is planned to take place on February 21st. All eyes are now focused on the speech of Pawan Kalyan.

The actor took a dig at YS Jagan and AP government in the past and the government troubled Pawan Kalyan’s last film Vakeel Saab badly during the release. The distributors are worried if the same gets repeated for Bheemla Nayak. If Pawan Kalyan is not much bothered about YS Jagan and the government of AP, Bheemla Nayak may get a smooth and comfortable release. There would be no troubles from the government’s side. The distributors are shelling out huge amounts for the film. All eyes are now focused on Pawan’s speech during the pre-release event of Bheemla Nayak.

Bheemla Nayak is the remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum and is directed by Saagar Chandra. Rana Daggubati will be seen in another powerful role and Sithara Entertainments are the producers.

New Updates of Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak

The makers of Bheemla Nayak announced that the film will stick to its release date on February 25th. The shooting portions of the film are completed by today and the pending title song is completed. The theatrical trailer of Bheemla Nayak will be released on February 19th and the grand pre-release event of the film will take place on February 21st. If granted permission, the event will take place in Yousufguda’s Police Grounds in Hyderabad.

Pawan Kalyan along with the entire team of Bheemla Nayak will be present for the event. A couple of interviews featuring Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram are planned which will take place this week. The makers sealed all the deals and the film is heading for a record release. Saagar Chandra is the director and Pawan Kalyan, Rana Daggubati, Nithya Menen are the lead actors. Thaman’s music album is a blockbuster and Sithara Entertainments are the producers of Bheemla Nayak.
