Charan and NTR to resume shoot soon

The shooting of SS Rajamouli’s upcoming multi-starrer, which is tentatively titled as RRR, is temporarily halted as both NTR and Charan suffered injuries in the recent schedule. While Charan sprained his ankle, NTR injured his shoulder while shooting. So, the team took a short break to allow both of them to completely recover from these minor injuries.

It is now learnt that NTR and Charan are fully fine and ready to join the sets very soon. The next schedule will kick off in a week and the intro episodes of both the lead actors will be canned in the fresh schedule. Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt, who are essaying significant roles in this period drama, are expected to join the sets in the next schedule. As foreign actress Daisy Edgar Jones exited from the project, Rajamouli is currently on the lookout for a replacement.

Charan and NTR are playing Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem in this fictional story which revolves in the era of pre independence struggle in India. DVV Danayya is bankrolling this mega film on a staggering budget.

Is RRR budget Inflated?

SS Rajamouli stepped out with a bunch of surprising announcements about his next film RRR. The regular shoot commenced last year and it completed two schedules. NTR, Ram Charan are the lead actors and Alia Bhatt, Daisy Edgar Jones are the heroines. Rajamouli clarified that the film’s shoot will be completed by the end of this year. The biggest surprise here is that the film’s estimated budget was quoted to be Rs 350-400 crores. With RRR being made in a single part and the entire film’s shoot getting completed in 14-15 months, the budget quote is unreasonably high.

Even Baahubali instalments did not cost that much after they are shot for over two years each. The lead actors NTR and Ram Charan will be sharing the profits for the film and they will not take any remuneration home as of now. Most of the film happens in special sets erected in Ramoji Film City and Aluminium Factory which have been leased out for a year. Considering all these, there are talks that the budget of RRR may be inflated. Only Rajamouli and the makers may know the real figure.

With several speculations going all over, SS Rajamouli decided to interact with the press and make things official. Here are the highlights along with the official announcement made in the press meet:

SS Rajamouli’s Words:

I always wanted to reveal the plot about my next before starting the shoot. There is so much co-incidence between the life stories of Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. RRR is all about two heroes who are freedom fighters. It is a fictional tale about two real heroes. The story happens in 1920 and we did a lot of research and RRR is made on lavish scale and standards. Ram Charan plays Alluri Seetharama Raju and Tarak plays Komaram Bheem.

The film has a strong supporting cast. Ajay Devgn will be doing a crucial role in the film and he plays a powerful role that comes in flashback episodes. Alia Bhatt will romance Ram Charan in the film. I met her at the airport and she is all excited about her assignment. Daisy Edgar Jones is the foreign beauty that will play as the female lead and she will romance Tarak.

Tamil actor Samuthirakani will play a crucial role. RRR is the Working Title. It received top class response from all corners. RRR will be a common title for all the languages. But as an expansion, we will have different titles for every language. We are in plans to invite suggestions for expansions of the title. If we get a better one, we will change the title for all the languages.

Ram Charan’s Words:

We are proud of being a part of this magnum opus. I got a call from Rajamouli and reached his residence. I was surprised to see Tarak sitting there and we both were surprised. Rajamouli garu left us excited with the big announcement. Me and Tarak are yet to work together for this film and the big schedules are yet to come. I am all excited about RRR.

NTR’s Words:

RRR happened only because of Jakkanna (Rajamouli). It is our belief and confidence that we have on him. Me and Charan are close friends from years and I thank him for accepting this film. I pray to God that we should remain as thick friends for this entire life. RRR will stand as a milestone in my career and will bring enough name for everyone involved and associated with RRR.

DVV Danayya’s Words:

I am grateful and thank SS Rajamouli garu for the opportunity. I am proud to associate with the actors representing two big families of Telugu cinema. RRR will release on July 30th 2020 in ten Indian languages. The film also may release other international languages which is yet to be decided.

We completed two schedules for the film till date. The next schedules will take place in Ahmedabad and Pune for 30 days. The estimated budget of RRR is Rs 350-400 crores.

I was born and brought up in Chennai. I am well bonded with my grandparents. With great responsibility assigned, I am happy for living up the expectations. My grandfather is always a helping hand and I wish to take his dreams forward.

Marriage is an added responsibility for everyone. Balancing life is the biggest challenge. For me staying healthy is the first priority apart from profession and family. Everyone needs healthy food and exercise to stay fit.

I looked fat enough during my college days. Faced several challenging situations due to my weight. It is then, I started a magazine ‘Be Positive’ after my college. It deals with health and lifestyle. It all started 12 years ago and with social media taking the lead, I started educating through videos on my official twitter handle.

I love watching films. It’s special to watch Charan on screen and I will be left excited if he is praised. When one has an understanding husband, balancing professional and personal life is quite easier.

Charan is a kind-hearted man and marrying him is one of the best things that happened in my life. I am treated like a princess every day. We are married for seven years now.

My father-in-law Chiranjeevi is an exciting person and is an inspiration for many. He has huge respect for women.

I am an animal lover and we adopted several animals rescued by Blue Cross. All these are taken special care at our farm.

I love London and its atmosphere, food. I even visit San Francisco.

Oven chicken is my favorite food. I love to be fashionable at times.

No filmmaker works hard and delivers a flop product. Cinema is a collective effort and if one among the team dominates or doesn’t care about the suggestions from his other team members, he will be blamed completely for the result. Things happened completely similar with Vinaya Vidheya Rama which ended up as a disaster. Ram Charan penned an open letter recently and he apologized his fans for falling short of the expectations. He is said to have been shattered with the film’s result at this crucial time in his career.

After the release of Vinaya Vidheya Rama, there are no talks between Charan – Boyapati and Boyapati – Danayya. Ram Charan’s recent letter shattered Boyapati Sreenu as he got completely ignored. The recent ugly spat between Boyapati and Danayya is now open and is discussed all over across Tollywood today. Charan too came to know about this and stood behind Danayya supporting his producer.

Charan and Danayya during the shoot several times opposed some of the episodes but Boyapati seems not bothered about their view. All these episodes have been badly trolled by the audience post release which left Charan and Danayya in anger. Charan even questioned that there is no need to shoot the action stunt in Azerbaijan but Boyapati made his mind to shoot it there. Even while finalizing the film’s cast, Boyapati stood on his decision and did not consider any suggestions of other team members.

This heaped up the film’s budget and Boyapati did not even make changes after watching the final rushes which made Vinaya Vidheya Rama a costly mistake in Telugu cinema. This is the reason why Boyapati Sreenu was left aside and the entire team of Vinaya Vidheya Rama stood against him.
