Coming war is between egoistic Jagan and self-respect of people, says Lokesh

0

The upcoming battle coming in a couple of months is between egoistic Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, and the self-respect of the people, said TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Sunday.

“How Jagan, who says that the coming election is between the poor and the feudals, can call himself as poor since he has assets worth lakhs of crores, the chappals that he wears are worth Rs 1 lakh, drinks Rs 1,000 worth of water bottle and who owns palaces in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Tadepalle, Idupulapaya and Visakhapatnam,” Lokesh asked while addressing a huge public meeting in Visakhapatnam East Assembly segment during his ongoing ‘Sankharavam’. Terming Jagan as a blatant liar, Lokesh felt that the Bharathi Cements which is set up by looting the public money belongs to the people but not to Jagan.

Lokesh feels that the foundations of the palaces owned by Jagan are also laid on highly corrupt money and thus they too belong to the people. “The TDP-Jana Sena government which will be in place in another two months will seize these palaces and hand them over to the public,” Lokesh said.

The Yatra movie produced spending crores of rupees is not being watched even by the YSRCP MLAs, the TDP national general secretary said that and stated that the last journey for the YSRCP MLAs has begun. Jagan has silently grabbed the Krishnapatnam and Gangavaram ports resulting in 10,000 employees of the Krishnapatnam Port losing their jobs. “Lands, hillocks and ports are no exception for these YSRCP leaders to occupy illegally,” he remarked.

The revenue of Jagan through the sand mafia is Rs 3 cr per day and he has looted Rs 5400 cr in these five years, he said, adding that after Jagan came to power the cost of sand has gone so high. Observing that Jagan has affection towards prisoners, he stated that Rs 2,000 each is being paid to the prisoners every month while the BC students are not being paid even the cosmetic charges.

Pointing out that the Videsee Vidya scheme implemented during the TDP regime was revoked by Jagan, he promised to reintroduce all the welfare schemes that were in force during the TDP regime, including the Videsee Vidya, by the coming TDP-Jana Sena government. The prices of all commodities, including the power charges, RTC fare and house tax, have been increased drastically, Lokesh said.

TDP supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and Jana Sena chief, Pawan Kalyan, have taken the initiative to announce the Super-Six only after having experienced the real problems being faced by the common man, he said. “I am assuring you all that all the schemes mentioned in this Super-Six will be implemented and I will personally take this responsibility,” he said.

In the name of making Visakhapatnam as the capital city for the State, these YSRCP leaders are grabbing the expensive lands in the city, Lokesh said and pointed out that Jagan has built a palace in Rishi Konda with a whopping Rs 500 cr. “Still he is not staying here while the ruling party leaders like YV Subba Reddy and Vijayasai Reddy, too are active in illegally occupying the costly lands here,” Lokesh said.

Recalling how Chandrababu, as the then chief minister of the State, had come to the rescue of the locals when the Hud Hud cyclone had hit the city, Lokesh mentioned how Visakhapatnam was developed during the TDP regime. Promising the people that the TDP will stand by its promises made to the people, Lokesh called upon the gathering to work for the success of Velagapudi Rama Krishna with a thumping majority.

“Velagapudi does not know what is corruption and he is still using some outdated model phones. Thus, he deserves to be your leader to work for your progress,” Lokesh said. Stating that the coming two months are very crucial, Lokesh called upon the TDP and the Jana Sena activists to be among the people to bring awareness among them. Visakhapatnam (East) should stand on top three in the majority that the combine is going to win, he added.

Lokesh will soon adopt handloom sector, says Brahmani

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, will adopt the handloom sector once the TDP-Jana Sena combine is into power after the upcoming elections, said Brahmani, wife of Lokesh in Mangalagiri on Saturday.

Nara Bhuvaneswari, wife of TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, on Saturday toured Mangalagiri Assembly segment as part of her ‘Nijam Gelavali’ (truth should prevail). Mrs Brahmani accompanied her during her visit and both the women leaders said that Lokesh has taken up a programme to save the handloom sector beyond any political considerations. Wearing a handloom saree during her visit here

Bhuvaneswari made it amply clear to the locals that she respects the handloom sector and the handloom workers.

Brahmani made it clear that she will always extend her full cooperation to her husband, Lokesh, during his endeavor to bring the past glory to the handloom sector. She visited the latest weaving machines and the handloom dyeing shed at Atmakur and inquired from the weavers about their problems that they are facing.

When they said that they are getting some health issues during the dyeing process, Brahmani said that soon a permanent solution will be found to their problems. Bharhmani also made it clear that proper prices will be offered for their products soon as Lokesh will be adopting the whole sector and measures will be taken to ensure that there are no middlemen for marketing their products.

Brahmani also visited the Sri Sakthi training center launched by Lokesh and those who are managing the centre briefed her that already thousands of persons have undergone training at the centre in 47 batches. She praised the efforts of those who are heading the centre and termed it as a great effort.

It’s TDP which transformed Vizag as City of Destiny, says Lokesh

0

Visakhapatnam which was once known as the economic capital of Andhra Pradesh and the city has been transformed as City of Destiny during the TDP regime, said Nara Lokesh, TDP general secretary, on Saturday.

Visakhapatnam was the job capital of India during Chandrababu Naidu’s regime but now it turned into ganja capital, said Mr Lokesh while addressing a public meeting at Vepagunta in Pendurthy Assembly segment of Visakhapatnam district during his ‘Sankharavam’ programme. Vizag was the most happening city when the TDP was ruling the State but now it has become the most miserable city, Lokesh stated.

When Chandrababu Naidu was the chief minister of the State, he strived hard to set up several Information technology companies in this city and also units established by the Adanis like Adani Data Centre and AM Teaser which manufactures medical devices after the YSRCP came to power the local leaders are focussing only on encroaching lands, kidnaps and looting besides illegally occupying the tanks, Lokesh said. Before the 2019 elections, the YSRCP leaders trumpeted on Nava Ratnas but after coming to power they made it as Nava Mosalu (nine defrauds), he remarked.

Recalling the recent call given by Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, for his party workers asking them to get ready to fold their shirts, Lokesh said “When I said that my party activists are also getting ready for folding the chairs, a Minister in the State Cabinet, Ambati Rambabu, said that it is not chair but a throne. I am now telling you that our people are ready to dethrone Jagan,” he remarked.

Stating that Jagan has not implemented even a single promise made to the people like granting of monthly pension for SC, ST, BC and minority women after they cross 45 years of age, and announcing job calendar every year and filling of all vacant posts in different government wings, Lokesh said that learning about the problems being faced by different sections the TDP supremo, Chandrababu, has announced the Super-Six. The Super-Six has been announced to chase out the psycho rule, to solve the problems being faced by women, he said.

Observing that Jagan is making a mockery of the Super-Six, Lokesh said that the Almighty has already made the draft ready for dethroning Jagan. The YSRCP is not getting even candidates to contest the polls and this clearly indicates the future of this party, he added. A leader from the neighbouring district has been asked to contest from Visakhapatnam while Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, who is known for various things, is the candidate from Ongole Lok Sabha constituency, he said.

Anil Kumar Yadav, who is rejected by the Nellore voters, is being fielded from Narasaraopet while Ambati Rayudu, who has been asked to contest from Guntur has run away from the YSRCP and this party is not getting candidates for 75 of the 175 Assembly segments, he stated. Before the last Assembly elections, Jagan has said that BCs are his backbone but now several innocent persons from the BC community are mercilessly being murdered and the bodies being door-delivered, he said.

Narrating several such incidents, Lokesh felt that Jagan is scared of him. “When I was on my Yuva Galam pada yatra, GO Number One was brought in and mike was snatched from me. But I made it amply clear that there is no question of giving in,” he said. Maintaining that attempts are being made to arrest him as he is exhibiting the red book at every meeting, Lokesh said that he never moves behind curtains.

Flatly denying the statements that if the TDP is back in power the volunteer system will be wound up, Lokesh clarified that in fact, the party is planning to strengthen the system. It is the TDP that introduced various welfare schemes like Rs 2-a-kg rice scheme by the Late NT Rama Rao and Deepam, Pasupu Kunkuma and Chandranna Bheema by Chandrababu Naidu, he added.

YSRCP MP, Vijaysai Reddy, has completely looted Visakhapatnam city and this Government is taking away every rupee generated by the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), he said. This Government has stooped so low that even the 1500 PhD posts in Andhra University too are sold for a premium and the Rs 200 cr University Grants Commission (UGC) grant too is looted, he said.

When the Hud Hud cyclone hit this area, Chandrababu Naidu, in his capacity as the chief minister, rushed here even neglecting his own family members, he said that Chandrababu did not spend even 10 minutes at a function celebrated at home during that time, he recalled. Making it clear that the coming TDP-Jana Sena government will implement all the promises made to them till now, Lokesh called upon the people to elect the alliance candidate to enable the upcoming TDP-Jana Sena regime to implement them.

No rule of law in State: Atchen Naidu

0

TDP State unit president, Kinjerapu Atchen Naidu, on Saturday felt that there is no rule of law in the State.

When the Opposition parties, employees’ unions and people’s associations want to organise public meetings in a peaceful manner, they are denied permissions while the meetings being addressed by the ruling YSRCP are accorded permissions on high-priority basis overnight which is highly undemocratic, Atchen Naidu said in a press note released here. Besides denying permission for the meetings being organised by the Opposition parties the leaders of these parties are being illegally arrested, detained and are being confined to house-arrests while the YSRCP leaders are being granted permissions within minutes, he said.

How permissions can be granted in the name of ‘Aasara’ and Siddham’ which are causing great inconvenience to the public and huge traffic jams, Atchen Naidu said in the press note and felt that there is now rule of law in the State. How permission can be granted for the YSRCP public meeting being organised along the national highway in Raptadu, the TDP State unit president asked.

A week before this meeting curbs have been imposed in the area, he said and pointed out that the meeting is being organised on February 18 while restrictions have been imposed in the area since February 11.

When the TDP wanted to hold public meetings, permission was denied by the officials concerned but the YSRCP meetings are being granted permission on a war footing basis, Atchen Naidu stated. The TDP State president is of the opinion that the countdown has already begun for the YSRCP.

Lokesh warns of stringent action against all officials for violating law

0

Asking the officials as to why they want to enrol themselves into the red book, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Thursday made it clear that severe action will be taken against all those who are blatantly violating the law now.

The officials should lead ethical lives, Lokesh said while addressing a huge public gathering at Rajam in Vizianagaram district on Thursday as part of his ongoing ‘Sankharavam’ programme. “I have immense faith in the Constitution drafted by the great Dr BR Ambedkar while Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, reposes confidence in the Raja Reddy statute. While I move among the public freely, Jagan moves behind the curtains,” Lokesh remarked amid thundering response from the public.

Terming Jagan as a 420 as 28 cases under Section 420 CrPC are pending against him, Mr Lokesh said that the chief advisor to the Government, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, always gives useless advice to the Government. Till now Sajjala has made a whopping Rs 150 cr in the shape of his salaries, he added.

None other than Sajjala, who is the chief advisor to the Chief Minister, is resorting to fake voting as he has been enrolled as a voter in Mangalagiri and Ponnur, Lokesh pointed out. “When the YSRCP won the Tirupati by poll with all duplicate votes, I have made it clear then itself that stringent action will be taken against those officials who resort to enrolling fake votes. It has now come true as the Election Commission has suspended an IAS officer, one DSP and a sub-inspector and action against more officials soon,” Lokesh said.

Stating that the Ministers in the State Cabinet are not aware of their own portfolios, Lokesh, referring to the poor condition of roads in rural areas, commented in a sarcastic way that Jagan has the credit of setting up one swimming pool in every village in the State. “If it rains the villagers in the whole State do not walk on the roads but swim,” he remarked.

Making a mockery of the boards displayed in various parts of the State that ‘Maa Nammakam Nuvve Jagan’ (we repose faith in you Jagan), the TDP general secretary asked how Jagan, who has cheated his own sister and mother, can be expected to do justice to others. When the Paytm batch of the YSRCP are using highly objectionable language against his own sister, Jagan never bothered to respond, Lokesh said.

The Chief Minister gives Rs 10 to everyone from one hand and takes back Rs 100 from the other, he said and pointed out that the steep hike in power charges, RTC fare and liquor rates clearly prove this beyond doubt. “After noticing the problems being faced by all sections of people, TDP supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and Jana Sena chief, Pawan Kalyan, have announced the Super-Six,” Lokesh said.

Reaffirming that the coming TDP-Jana Sena government will take the responsibility of providing 20 lakh jobs to the youth, Lokesh said that the teacher posts will be filled through the DSC every year. Stating that the GO-3 will be revived to provide jobs to the Girijans, Lokesh said that Rs 3,000 each will be paid per month to all those unemployed youth till they get jobs.

Asserting that free bus travel facility will be provided for women, Lokesh listed out all the welfare schemes that the coming TDP-Jana Sena government is planning to implement. Senior YSRCP leaders, Botsa Satyanarayana, a Minister, MP, Vijayasai Reddy, and the other senior leader, YV Subba Reddy, are illegally occupying the lands on a massive scale in North Andhra, Lokesh said.

Observing that Jagan has not completed any works like Ramabhadrapuram-Peddagedda project, Salur bypass road and all other projects, he said that once the TDP-Jana Sena is into power all the pending projects will be completed. Listing out all the developmental works that were executed in the area during the TDP regime, Mr Lokesh said that the local YSRCP leaders are simply looting the area.

“I am assuring you all that if you support the candidates to be fielded by the TDP-Jana Sena combine in the upcoming polls, we will show you what development is. I will personally take the responsibility to construct the roads in this region and also construct a ring road to Vizianagaram,” Lokesh noted.

Making it clear that the TDP will take the responsibility of coming to the rescue of those who are dire straits, Lokesh called upon the TDP and the Jana Sena activists to visit every doorstep to explain to the people on Super-Six. The TDP national general secretary also dared Mr Jagan to come for an open debate on his corruption and on the credibility of the TDP.

Job calendar will be released every year by coming TDP-Jana Sena govt, Lokesh tells youth

0

Stating that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, before coming to power has promised to fill all the vacant posts in the government every year through job calendar but miserably failed to fulfill this promise thus cheating the youth, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday made an appeal to the youth to just wait for two more months. The TDP-Jana Sena combine is going to form the coming government and once the alliance is into power, job calendar will be released every year regularly to fill all the vacant posts in different government wings, Lokesh declared.

For the third consecutive day on Tuesday Lokesh addressed a huge public meeting in Srikakulam district as part of his ‘Sankharavam’ programme. Thanking the TDP activists for having continued to carry the party flag despite false cases being foisted against them, Lokesh said that North Andhra, particularly Srikakulam district, is known for taking revenge against those who deceive them while remembering for lifetime if something good is done for them.

“Jagan has failed on all fronts and did not keep even a single promise made to different sections of society. What happened to the assurance given to the youth on notifying the DSC, fee reimbursement for Backward Classes (BCs) students, pursuing further education abroad, and filling up of 6,500 constable posts every year,” Lokesh asked and said that the people should decide what should be done for him for cheating them by making such false promises.

As the elections are just a couple of months away, he is now announcing the DSC, Lokesh said and added that even the number of posts announced is also much less than the existing vacancies. Is it not deceiving the jobless youth, he asked and made an appeal to the youth to wait for just two more months as the coming TDP-Jana Sena government will fill all the vacant posts.

“Those who have undertaken coaching spending lakhs of rupees should not get disappointed. Also several youth are resorting to suicides as they are not finding an oportunity to get any kind of employment in the prevailing situation in the State,” Lokesh said and asked the unemployed youth to wait only for a couple of months more. “We will come to your rescue. Those who do not get jobs immediately will be paid unemployment allowance till they get jobs,” he stated.

Making a mockery of producing the Tollywood film ‘Yatra-2’ spending crores of rupees by Jagan, Lokesh felt that this ‘Yatra’ is fast turning into ‘antima yatra’ (last journey) for the YSRCP leaders. The TDP national general secretary is of the firm opinion that no one is ready to watch this film even if they are offered a quarter of liquor free of cost.

Asking as to why TDP supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, was sent to jail for 53 days for the no fault of his, Lokesh felt that Jagan will soon be behind bars for looting the State of Rs 1 lakh cr. Lokesh dared Jagan to come for an open debate on his corruption charges. “We are ready for an open debate on the corruption charges you are facing. Are you ready,”Lokesh asked Jagan.

Observing that he comes from a family which is not scared of even bombs, he said how he will get frightened for false cases. Pointing out that cases under non-bailable Sections have been registered against him for carrying the red book, Lokesh dared the State Government to take him into custody if he has committed any mistakes.

Pointing out that Jagan’s own mother and sister do not have faith in him, Lokesh said that he kicked both of them out of the house after coming to power. Regretting that the YSRCP leaders are making highly objectionable comments against Jagan’s sister and APCC president, Sharmila, the TDP national general secretary felt that when there is no security for the family members of Jagan in the YSRCP rule how other women can expect safety and security in this Government.

Lokesh suspected that attempts are being made to privatise the Visakha Steel Plant and said that once the TDP-Jana Sena government is formed after the coming elections, the steel plant will be purchased by the State Government, if necessary, to provide employment to the jobless. The Vamsadhara-Nagavali project works are almost completed during the last TDP regime and once the TDP-Jana Sena is into power in a couple of months the remaining works will also be completed besides taking up other pending works, Lokesh said.

Calling upon the TDP and the Jana Sena activists to meet everyone to take the schemes announced by Chandrababu in the name of ‘Babu Surety-Bhavishyathuku Guarantee’, Lokesh alerted the activists of both the parties to be cautious as the Paytm batch of the YSRCP is trying to bring in differences among them. “The elders of both the parties will decide who should be in the race in the coming polls and it is our duty to work for their victory,” Lokesh told the cadre of both the TDP and the Jana Sena.

TDP demands Bharat Ratna for NTR

0

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Monday demanded that the most prestigious Bharat Ratna be conferred on the party founder and the former chief minister of the combined Andhra Pradesh.

In separate letters addressed to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister, Amith Shah, TDP Rajya Sabha member, Kanakamedala Ravinda Kumar said that as the chief minister of the combined Andhra Pradesh, NT Rama Rao, had introduced several welfare schemes like Rs 2-a-kg rice for all families, Janata Vastralu and power supply to farmers at Rs 50 per horsepower. Popularly known as NTR, he abolished the patel-patwari system which was then prevailing in Telangana and decentralised the administration besides introducing administration structure based on local dialect.

Kanakamedala said in the letters to the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister that the introduction of the Reservation Bill for the political empowerment of women and Backward Classes (BCs) is a testament to his foresight. At the national level too he played a crucial role in the formation of the National Front (NF) which included parties like the Janata Dal, the Asom Gana Parishad, and others along with the TDP and he became the president of this front, the TDP MP pointed out. NTR was instrumental in the formation of a non-Congress government at the Centre in 1989, he added.

This apart, as the leader of the Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly he played a very important role in ensuring the responsibility of the executive to the legislature which is one of the main features of democracy, Kanadamedala noted in separate letters letters to both Modi and Amith Shah. The TDP MP recalled the services of the late NTR as social reformer who had created several opportunities in the economic, socio-political, educational and employment sectors.

Terming NTR as the source of inspiration, who gave rights for women in ancestral property and placed daughters at par with sons, Kanakamedala said that the pioneering act of NT Rama Rao was later emulated by the Centre. Considering the stature and selfless service rendered by the late NT Rama Rao, it would be more befitting to confer upon him the highest civilian award of Bharat Ratna which will be a matter of pride for not only the Telugu people but also to the whole nation, Kanakamedala said in the letters and made a fervent appeal to both the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister to consider his request.

Lokesh aims at making AP as number one State in India, says Ram Mohan Naidu

0

The people of this area got totally disappointed when the Yuva Galam pada yatra did not touch here but they are now delighted with the launching of ‘Sankharavam’ from this region, said TDP leader and member of the Lok Sabha, Kinjerapu Ram Mohan Naidu, on Monday.

Thanking Lokesh for visiting the area for the ‘Sankharavam’ programme, Ram Mohan Naidu told a massive gathering assembled for the programme for the second consecutive day on Monday that TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, has come forward with his ‘Sankharavam’ only with the sole intention to take the State to number one position in the country. Maintaining that Lokesh had undertaken the Yuva Galam pada yatra to repose faith among the people who got completely disappointed with the psycho rule, the TDP MP called upon the TDP-Jana Sena activists to get ready to turn away the psycho actions in upcoming polls.

Recalling how the TDP leaders from Srikakulam strived hard to get crores of funds for the development of the area, Ram Mohan Naidu said that it was Chandrababu Naidu as the chief minister of the State who granted the Srikakulam municipality a corporation status. “Except looting the State, including the sand reserves from this area, these YSRCP leaders do not have even basic knowledge to work for even supplying irrigation water to this area,” the TDP MP said.

Srikakulam is the district headquarters town only for name sake, he said and regretted that not even a single road in this entire Assembly segment is in proper condition, he said and stated that the less said the better about the Srikakulam-Amadalavalasa road. Though several persons lost their lives due to accidents on these roads, the local MLA who is also the Speaker of the Assembly, completely neglected it, he said.

Expressing deep concern that the youth is migrating from this area to the neighbouring States in search of employment, Ram Mohan Naidu assured the gathering that the coming TDP-Jana Sena government will take all measures not only to check migrations but also to provide employment to the jobless youth. “The coming TDP-Jana Sena government will develop this area in such a way that the youth from other areas will come here for jobs as an industrial zone and a SEZ will be set up here,” he stated.

Ram Mohan Naidu also promised to take steps by the coming TDP-Jana Sena government to complete the sports complex and a stadium here which will totally give a different look to the entire district. “We will make an appeal to TDP supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, to develop Srikakulam on the lines of Hyderabad,” he said.

Ram Mohan Naidu felt that all this is possible only if Chandrababu Naidu is brought back as the chief minister of the State and made an appeal to the TDP and the Jana Sena activists to clearly exhibit their talent. “Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is feeling totally disturbed after he has come to know that Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief, Pawan Kalyan, are joining together,” he remarked.

The TDP MP firmly believed that the people have come to a conclusion to defeat Jagan and that Lokesh has begun his ‘Sankharavam’ to prepare the party cadre for the upcoming polls. Making it clear that those whose names figured in the red book will have to face the consequences, Ram Mohan Naidu said that Lokesh has the green book too.

Calling upon the TDP and the Jana Sena activists to move together like two wheels of a vehicle, the TDP MP said that the verdict in the upcoming polls should be like a lesson to leaders like Jagan.

YSRCP MPs themselves are not willing to face Jagan, says Lokesh

0

Extending thanks to the yellow army for carrying the TDP flag for the past several years, party general secretary Nara Lokesh, said on Monday that even the ruling YSRCP Members of Parliament (MPs) are avoiding meeting Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy.

“The ruling party MPs and MLAs are strongly believing that the time of Jagan is over,” Lokesh said addressing the massive public meeting at Narasannapet of Srikakulam district as part of the ‘Sankharavam’ programme for the second consecutive day on Monday. Observing that the huge public response clearly indicates that the people are ready to defeat the YSRCP in the coming elections, Lokesh said that when Jagan visited New Delhi recently of the 31 party MPs only six were present and this reflects the fact that they are ready to bid goodbye to Jagan.

Since the government employees too are unhappy as the promise made to them on the revocation of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) within a week of coming to power is not fulfilled yet, they are also ready to send Jagan home, he remarked. “Now Jagan has introduced a new scheme in which sitting MLAs are being shifted to other segments. How the leaders who are unfit for the segment that they are representing now will be fit for the other constituencies,” Lokesh asked and felt that by transferring the sitting MLAs Jagan had indirectly admitted his defeat.

Stating that Mr Jagan is responsible for the murder of his paternal uncle by his own cousin and MP, Avinash Reddy, the TDP national general secretary believed that Jagan too will have to go to jail in a couple of months. “Before the 2019 elections, Jagan has blamed the TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, for the murder of his paternal uncle but in the chargesheet Avinash Reddy’s name is found. In a couple of days Jagan’s name will also be included in the chargesheet,” Lokesh remarked.

Pointing out that the liquor prices are very heavy in the State, Lokesh said that Jagan is simply squeezing the blood of the people and collecting large amounts of money from the public in the shape of ‘J’ tax. “Through the sale of liquor alone, Jagan has made Rs 45,000 cr in the past five years, at the rate of Rs 9,000 cr per annum,” he said. This apart, taxes are levied heavily on the common man in the form of power charges, RTC fares and fuel charges, Lokesh added.

It was the late NT Rama Rao, the founder of the TDP, who introduced welfare schemes for the people of Andhra Pradesh, he said and pointed out that NT Rama Rao, as the chief minister of the State ensured that the people were supplied rice at Rs 2 a kg. Chandrababu Naidu, who succeeded NT Rama Rao, not only continued these welfare schemes but also introduced several other programmes, he stated.

But this Government has discontinued all such schemes which are beneficial for the common man and on the other hand simply robs the people in the shape of huge taxes and high prices. “I have personally come to know the problems of the people through my Yuva Galam pada yatra,” Lokesh said and stated that after his pada yatra he has come to the conclusion that it is the TDP-Jana Sena combine that is going to form the coming government.

Assuring the people that 20 lakh jobs will be provided to the youth in the coming five years, Lokesh also asserted that all the schemes mentioned earlier will be implemented in letter and spirit. Lokesh said that the TDP will strongly oppose the move to privatise the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and stated that if necessary the coming TDP-Jana Sena government will take over the plant.

Recalling how the TDP government had developed the North Andhra region, including Srikakulam district, Lokesh asked whether this Government had initiated a single measure for the progress of the region. Calling upon both the TDP and the Jana Sena activists to work unitedly for the victory of the combine in the upcoming polls, Lokesh announced that he will personally take the responsibility of the activists of both the parties to see to it that they will overcome any kind of trouble that they face.

YSRCP psychos getting scared of red book, says Lokesh

0

Maintaining that North Andhra is TDP’s fortress, party general secretary Nara Lokesh said that Srikakulam is the ground for struggles.

Thanking profusely all those who gathered for the huge public meeting at Itchhapuram of srikakulam district, Lokesh said that all the psychos of the ruling YSRCP are now getting scared of the red book. Regretting that North Andhra has been turned into a centre for ganja after the YSRCP came to power, Lokesh fondly recalled that this land has a great history of giving birth to renowned personalities like Garimella, Sardar Gouthu Latchanna and Yerran Naidu.

“I really feel proud to begin my Sankharavam programme at Itchhapuram,” Lokesh asked Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, for which he is ‘Sidhham’ (getting ready). Perhaps, Jagan must be getting ready to go to jail, he said and asked the people whether they are ready to send him to jail.

“Are you ready to send Mr Jagan home who is responsible for the murder of the BC leader, Amarnath Goud, and the Dalit, Dr Sudhakar besides several minorities. Jagan always says he is ‘Sidhham’ (getting ready). For what he is getting ready,” Lokesh asked in a sarcastic manner. Jagan is responsible for the killing of his own paternal uncle, he said and asked whether he is getting ready to finish off more family members and damage the State totally.

Regretting that the local MRO, Ramaiah, was done to death by the YSRCP leaders as he was not cooperating with them in land encroachments, Lokesh said that the agricultural assistant, Pujitha, was forced to commit suicide in Bapatla as she questioned the theft of fertilisers. Pointing out that the junior engineer, Rama Krishna, handed himself to death in Vizianagaram as he strongly opposed the local YSRCP’s misdeeds, Lokesh said that Jagan has now started a new drama in the name of my SCs and my STs.

Asking Jagan as to why he has not fulfilled the promise made to the unemployed youth to fill 23,000 posts through the DSC, Lokesh felt that the ruling party leaders started feeling unnerved on observing the massive response to ‘Yuva Galam’ among the youth. Recalling that 1.7 lakh posts have been filled during the TDP regime, Lokesh promised to fill all the vacant teacher posts every year by the coming TDP-Jana Sena government.

How Jagan, who wears Rs 1 lakh worth of chappals and who consumes Rs 1,000 worth of water bottle, can understand the problems of the poor, he asked. When there is no security for his own sister how others can expect protection in this Government, Lokesh felt. The Chief Minister is giving Rs 10 each to the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes by pressing the blue button but taking back Rs 100 from them through the red button, he remarked.

Stating that the common man is being squeezed through high bus fares, power charges and other taxes, Lokesh said that TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, and Jana Sena chief, Pawan Kalyan, have announced the Super-Six only to provide relief to the people. Assuring the gathering that 20 lakh jobs will be provided in five years once the TDP-Jana Sena forms the next government, he said Rs 3,000 per month will be paid each as unemployment allowance till the youth get jobs.

Plan to amass Rs 120 cr under book printing tenders scam, says Pattabhi

0

The schemes of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to loot the State has been continuing in all sectors and the printing of books for school children is no exception, said TDP spokesman, Kommareddy Pattabhiram.

Pattabhiram brought before the media all the evidence about how Jagan and his coterie robbed the State in the name of printing the books for the school children. There are no exceptions to loot appears to be the policy of Jagan, the TDP national spokesman remarked. The Chief Minister should feel ashamed to mint such a huge amount of money through printing of the books of school children while campaigning that the State stood on top in the country in the academic system, he added.

Perhaps Jagan Reddy is the only Chief Minister in the whole country who is amassing wealth in the guise of school students’ books, he felt. The Chief Minister is destroying the academic sector too like other systems, Pattabhi said and stated that the teachers are humiliated by asking them to stand before liquor shops. The salaries of the teachers are not paid properly, he said.

Pattabhiram felt that the YSRCP is a sinking ship, and the party leaders too are aware of this fact due to which they are not coming forward to contest the upcoming polls. This is the reason as to why five family members of Minister for Education, Botsa Satyanarayana, are offered party tickets, he said and stated that when the Minister made it clear that he cannot bear the expenditure for five segments Jagan has thus raised the curtains for this book printing scam to make at least Rs 100 cr to Rs 120 cr.

Pattabhiram pointed out that when the paper cost was Rs 1 lakh per tonne in 2022, the printing cost for each page was fixed at only 23 paise but now when the cost of the paper has come down drastically the printing cost has been escalated to 34.2 paise per page. The earlier practice was that the government was purchasing the paper and supplying it to the printing press for publishing the books, but the Jagan Government has done away with this policy, he added. Is Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, not aware that the paper is available in the market for a much lesser price, he asked.

The State Government has totally ignored when the Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Paper Limited and the AP Offset Printing Association have mentioned at the judicial review that the cost of the paper has come down in the open market and that the Government is incurring crores of rupees through e-tender, he said. Changing the policy is nothing but raising curtains for a massive scam, Pattabhiram said and felt that besides Botsa Satyanaraya, Principal Secretary (Education), Praveen Prakash, and Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dhanujay Reddy, have played a major role in this huge scandal.

Pattabhiram said that the TDP demands that the tender be cancelled immediately, and the Government purchases the paper in the open market to take up the printing of the text books on its own.

Shariff strongly condemns searches on Narayana’s residence

0

Strongly condemning the searches on the house of former minister and TDP leader, Narayana, former chairman of the State Legislative Council and senior TDP leader, MA Shariff, on Saturday asked did Narayana commit a mistake of continuing with the TDP.

Is Narayana a smuggler to conduct raids on his residence with so many personnel, Shariff said while talking to media persons at the party headquarters here. The former Council chairman felt that these raids clearly reflect that the personal animosity against Narayana has reached its heights and Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is still taking personal revenge on him.

“It is really atrocious that a team of 100 police personnel, led by five DSPs and eight inspectors took part in the raid without the permission of the court,” Shariff remarked. The TDP leader strongly believed that the YSRCP Government is completely degrading all the systems and the ruling party is misusing these systems to harass the leaders of the Opposition parties.

The raids conducted on the residence of Narayana is clear evidence that the YSRCP is misusing its power, and the ruling party is exploiting the systems to create a sort of fear among the leaders of Opposition parties. Narayana, who has risen to this stage from the very bottom level, has become so popular in the State by setting up several educational institutions like schools, engineering and medical colleges and upholding the academic standards, he said.

Narayana always follows certain standards and ethics, Shariff said and asked as to why these raids on his residence are conducted now. He always stood solidly by the TDP and has been encouraging the party cadre, Shariff remarked.

Recalling how raids were conducted earlier on the Narayana educational institutions, Shariff felt that since the ruling party could not prove anything after these raids now resorted to conduct raids on his residence. How searches can be conducted in his residence without proper permission, he asked.

If the officials blindly follow Jagan’s commands, in future they have to pay a very heavy price, Shariff felt and asked whether Narayana is an extremist to conduct raids in such a manner. “Though Jagan knows pretty well that he is losing power soon, he still has not learnt any lesson,” the former Council chairman remarked.

Pointing out that the officials could not find any money or valuables, he asked as to why the cots were damaged and why Narayana’s wife was placed under house-arrest. Shariff said that the chairman of the Minorities Commission who is expected to function beyond any political considerations is dancing to the tunes of the ruling dispensation.

Shariff strongly believed that the TDP-Jana Sena combine is coming to power in another couple of months and all those who are violating the norms under directions from the ruling party leaders will have to pay a very heavy price.

India Today survey gives 17 Lok Sabha seats to TDP

0

A survey conducted by the Indian Today, a national news magazine and television channel had given 17 Lok Sabha seats to the opposition TDP in the coming general elections in Andhra Pradesh. The survey said that the TDP will get 45 per cent of vote share in the coming elections.

The India Today conducted the survey in the name of Mood of the Nation. It took several samples across the state and found that the opposition TDP is ahead of the ruling YSR Congress in the state. People are in favour of voting for the TDP in the coming elections, the survey said.

The survey also said that the ruling YSR Congress would get just 8 Parliament seats with 41 per cent vote share. The YSR Congress had lost its support from the people due to corruption and other issues, the survey said.

The TDP was reduced to just 3 Parliament seats in the 2019 general election. It secured 23 Assembly seats, while the ruling YSR Congress secured 151 Assembly seats and 22 Parliament seats. Some surveys say that the ruling YSR Congress would retain power, the India Today’s Mood of the Nation survey found that the TDP is coming back to power in Andhra Pradesh.

In the neighbouring Telangana state, the survey said that the ruling Congress would win 10 parliament seats. The BJP and the BRS would win three seats each while the AIMIM would win one seat. It would be a gain for the ruling Congress in Telangana to win 10 seats. This would be 7 seats more to the Congress from the 2019 general election.

The Congress which had won the 2023 general election is set to capture more Parliament seats in the election. The Congress Party’s popularity is still intact in Telangana as it had started rolling out the popular schemes and implementing the election promises.

Red sanders mafia ruling the roost in State, says Lokesh

0

Stating that the sed sanders mafia is ruling the roost in the State, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday that the killing of constable Ganesh in KV Palli mandal of Annamayya district earlier in the day reflects the fact that the mafia’s atrocities have reached its peak.

Lokesh said that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s rule has become a golden era for the smugglers. In fact, the red sanders mafia has taken birth with the Punganur Veerappan, Minister, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and the international smuggler, Gangireddy, he added.

By declaring these red sanders smugglers as the YSRCP candidates for the upcoming polls, Jagan has established a green channel for these smugglers. If the police personnel come in the way of these smugglers they are being finished and the killing of the Task Force constable earlier in the day reflects the fact that these smugglers have the blessings of the ruling party elders, Lokesh said.

Paying tributes to the Task Force constable, Ganesh, who was laid down his life while on duty, Lokesh expressed deep felt sympathies to the bereaved family members. Demanding that the State Government immediately come to the rescue of the family of Ganesh, Lokesh said that the culprits who killed the constable should be punished severely.

The Task Force constable, Ganesh, was crushed to death under a running vehicle in KV Palli mandal of Annamayya district by suspected red sanders smugglers and he succumbed to injuries while being shifted to the nearby hospital.

Guv speech is filled with half-truths, says TDP

0

The Governor’s address to the combined session of Legislature on Monday is filled with half-truths and jugglery, said the MLAs and MLCs of the Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

With the strong feeling that the Governor’s address to the joint session of the Legislature is completely filled with half-truths, the TDP MLAs and MLCs staged a walk-out from the House. Later, they told media persons on the Assembly precincts that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, made another attempt to cheat the people before elections.

The TDP MLAs and MLCs said that they will certainly pinpoint the failures of the Jagan Reddy Government and bring the actual facts before the people during the thanksgiving speech. “The Jagan Government which has miserably failed on all fronts has not brought the facts before the public,” Gorantla Butchaiah Chiowadary, the TDP politburo member and MLC said.

The Governor’s address has far exceeded the Goebbels propaganda and the State Government has made every attempt to create a false impression among the people, the TDP MLAs and MLCs said. The State has been taken to the top position in the country in debts and the Government has not mentioned its failures in the Governor’s speech, they said.

Maintaining that the schemes being extended by the Centre are claimed to be that of the State, they said that the State has fallen to the bottom in education, health and other sectors. The TDP leaders are of the opinion that Jagan has no right to ask for votes in the upcoming polls as he has not fulfilled any promise made to the people. “Even the Governor was seen feeling so embarrassed while addressing the joint session as he is well aware of the ground reality and what he is reading out in his speech,” they observed.

For waiver of the cases pending against him, the Chief Minister has mortgaged the prestige of the State, the TDP MLAs and MLCs said and felt that the law and order has miserably failed in the State while the irrigation sector has totally collapsed. “It is really shameful that Jagan has exploited the Raj Bhavan for his political gains,” they said.

Making mockery of the ‘Siddham’ campaign undertaken by Jagan, the TDP leaders said that he is indirectly informing the people that he is getting ready to go home.

Naidu asks AP DGP to take VRS

0

TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday asked AP DGP K V Rajendranath Reddy to take Voluntary Retirement (VRS) if he cannot handle law and order in the state. Chandrababu Naidu said that the DGP had completely failed to control the law and order in the state.

He referred to the mining officials inspecting the mining activity in Martur with anti-social elements and rowdy attacks in Krosuru village. He wondered how the police allowed the officials to visit the mining along with rowdies. He alleged that the officials have entered into the mining area with rowdies carrying deadly weapons.

He said that the police were expected to be neutral and protect the law and order. However, in Andhra Pradesh, the police were acting as the YSR Congress Party workers. He sought to advise the DGP to change their uniform and took the YSR Congress Party flag.

He wondered how an assistant director level officer in the mines department had gone to the mining area with rowdies accompanying him. He wanted to know what the police were doing when the officials were inspecting the area with rowdies.

Chandrababu Naidu regretted that there was no law and order in the state during the last five years. The YSR Congress had destroyed every institution. The rowdies and other anti-social elements were taking advantage of the police silence.

He alleged that there is Goondaraj ruling Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was allowing rowdies to take over the law and order in the state. People were living under fear in every village across the state, he said.

The TDP chief sought to advise the DGP to stop serving the political interests of the ruling party. He also advised the DGP to work as a police officer and not as the YSR Congress activist. He also alleged that some district SPs were also allowing rowdies to rule the districts. Several districts were witnessing the anti-social elements taking advantage.

TDP may field Ramaiah once again for RS polls

0

The opposition TDP is likely to field its candidate for the February 27th election to the Rajya Sabha. Three seats are falling vacant now and the ruling YSR Congress has all the strength to win all the three seats.

Three seats are falling vacant in Rajya Sabha with the retirement of BJP member C M Ramesh, TDP member Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar and YSR Congress member Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy on April , 2024. The ruling YSR Congress has the numbers to wrest all the three seats unless any miracle happens.

However, the TDP plans to field its candidate once again banking completely on the dissent vote in the ruling YSR Congress. The TDP believes that there would be more than a dozen ruling party MLAs who are not happy with the party and would vote for the TDP in the Rajya Sabha elections.

Accordingly, the party is likely to field its senior leader and politburo member Varla Ramaiah as its candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections. Ramaiah contested the last Rajya Sabha elections on March 26, 2020, when the TDP had just 21 seats in the 175-member Assembly.

Two members of the party – Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan and Karanam Balaramakrishna Murthy – have by then defected to the ruling YSR Congress. With just 21 members on hand, the TDP contested the elections against the required strength of 43 members for four Rajya Sabha seats.

Now, the party would require 58 seats in the Assembly to contest the election to the three posts falling vacant on April 2, 2024. The actual strength of the TDP in the Assembly now had come down to 19. There are four rebel MLAs from the ruling YSR Congress, who are likely to vote for the TDP taking its strength to 23 members.

The TDP believes that more than a dozen MLAs from the ruling party would vote for the TDP in the Rajya Sabha elections. Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had denied tickets to several sitting MLAs who are now up in arms against the party leadership. They are fuming at the party leadership for denying tickets to them.

The dissident MLAs are crying foul of the ticket denial and are set to vote against the party in the elections. Taking advantage of the situation, the TDP is likely to field Varla Ramaiah once again in the Rajya Sabha elections. It is to be seen what would happen if the TDP contests the elections again at this point of time.

Come, let’s establish Rama Rajyam, Naidu calls people

0

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday appealed to the people to come and join him in establishing Rama Rajyam in the state. He wanted everyone in the state to support his efforts in restoring democracy in the state.

Chandrababu Naidu paid rich tributes to late N T Rama Rao, the founder of the TDP on Thursday. He said that late NTR had established a welfare state on the lines of Lord Sri Rama. He also said that NTR was the first leader to have the welfare state.

The TDP chief said that NTR had rolled out several welfare schemes in the state and worked for the welfare and uplift of the poor. NTR had always worked for the uplift of the poor, and we need a similar leadership today, Chandrababu Naidu said.

He further paid tributes to the late leader calling him as a light of the people, particularly the Telugu people. He said that NTR brought recognition to the Telugu people. He gave a new lease of life to the Telugu speaking people, Chandrababu Naidu said.

NTR lived a life with commitment and dedication, he said. He had set his goals in advance and lived to reach there, Naidu said.

Stating that people of all sections were struggling for survival in the state for the past five years, Naidu wanted everyone to join him in restoring democracy in the state. He said that people were living in the grip of fear and have no human rights. Human rights are suppressed in the state, he said.

He also said that the state is to be liberated from poverty and that could be possible only through the TDP. He said that the TDP is fighting to bring back welfare and democracy to the state and wanted people to join him.

Why focus only on robbing State than on attracting investments, asks Pattabhi

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, skipped the Davos World Economic Forum summit as he could not face the investors since the prestige of both the country and the State got totally damaged globally with his Tughlaq decisions, remarked TDP spokesman, Kommareddy Pattabhiram, on Wednesday.

While Chief Ministers of the neighbouring States like Revanth Reddy of Telangana and Siddaramaiah of Karnataka, have attended the Davos summit to attract investments for their respective States, Jagan is seriously engaged in playing the PUBG game at Tadepalle palace, Kommareddy Pattabhiram said while talking to media persons here. Even Minister, Gudivada Amarnath, too could not take his representatives to Davos, he said.

Pattabhi felt that due to the inefficiency of the Chief Minister the State has suffered heavy damage in the past five years with regard to foreign investments. This psycho, Jagan, has skipped the Davos global summit this year too, which is very helpful for attracting foreign investments to the State, the TDP spokesman felt.

In the past five years Jagan has attended the Davos summit only once, in 2022, but could not attract any investments to the State, Pattabhi said. In that year too Jagan has gone on a foreign jaunt along with his family members in the name of Davos visit, he remarked.

Under the leadership of the then chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, a team of the State had visited Davos every year between 2014 and 2019, and attracted huge foreign investments to the State, Pattabhi said. But Jagan is more interested in robbing the State than taking decisions for the development of the State, he added.

Giving the details of the foreign investments attracted by Chandrababu Naidu every year, Pattabhi said that in the past five years, the Chief Minister did not make even a single visit which is useful for the State. This is the basic reason as to why people now want that this psycho should go and cycle should be back, Mr Pattabhi said and added that the voters are now repenting for having elected Mr Jagan to power.

Charges levelled against Naidu are baseless, says Nakka Ananda Babu

0

All the allegations levelled against TDP supremo and former chief minister, Nara Chandrabbau Naidu, are all baseless, observed party politburo member, Nakka Ananda Babu.

All the cases against Chandrababu Naidu are registered without any kind of evidence, Ananda Babu told media persons at the party headquarters here. The TDP politburo member felt that the ruling dispensation is resorting to vengeful attitude towards Chandrababu Naidu and all other TDP leaders and the ruling party leaders should remember that they are going to face a tough time very soon.

Ananda Babu is of the strong opinion that justice will certainly prevail and said that the TDP leaders should move forward bravely. The Assistant Advocate General (AAG) feels like the Chief Justice of India (CJI) and he can no longer rule the roost, he said and advised the AAG to stop acting like a YSRCP worker.

Observing that the YSRCP leaders are resorting to misinformation campaigning that the Supreme Court judgement is against Chandrabbau Naidu, the TDP politburo member felt that all this exercise is only to mislead the people. “I can certainly say that the judgement is partially a victory of our leader,” he remarked. Pointing out that the division bench of the apex court has expressed differences of opinion and has taken the case to the level of the Chief Justice of India, he said that ultimately one has to wait and see what decision the CJI will take whether he will forward the case to the three-member bench or for the Constitutional bench.

Stating that the TDP has also taken legal recourse seeking anticipatory bail in other cases filed illegally, Ananda Babu said that the High Court has made some comments while granting bail. The people have clearly come to an understanding that false cases have been framed against Chandrababu Naidu, he added.

Ananda Babu made it clear that the TDP legal advisory committee will take a decision and express its opinion after studying the copy of the judgment and the party will respond only after that.
