Huzurabad tension for ‘trouble shooter’

1

No leader appears to be more tensed in TRS than TRS senior leader and minister T Harish Rao over the outcome of upcoming Huzurabad by poll.

This is because TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has entrusted the task of Huzurabad victory to only Harish Rao, who is known as ‘trouble shooter’ in TRS.

Since TRS is in trouble now due to Etela Rajender, Huzurabad task was given to trouble shooter Harish.

Harish’s situation too is not good these days. KCR entrusted Dubbak by poll task to Harish in November 2020. But Harish received a jolt from BJP which wrested seat from TRS in Harish’s own Undivided Medak district.

Harish realized that the situation is no better in Huzurabad as TRS lacks a strong candidate who can match a leader of stature of Rajender.

For this reason, Harish did not visit Huzurabad so far and has been operating from Siddipet.

Harish is holding meetings everyday in Siddipet and luring Etela’s supporters into TRS by making bumper offers.

Harish is preparing ground to completely isolate Etela from TRS leaders and cadre in Huzurabad before he steps in his constituency.

Harish supporters feel that KCR instead of handing over Huzurabad responsibility to his son KTR, he cleverly roped in Harish, to see that KTR’s image is not hit if TRS loses and Harish can be blamed for this.

KTR represents Siricilla constituency in Undivided Karimnagar district under which Huzurabad too falls. But he was not made in charge for Huzurabad.

Harish represents Siddipet in Undivided Medal district. He no way relates to Karimnagar district. But still he was made in charge.

Is TRS our friend or foe? Telangana BJP seeks clarity from high command!

2

The Telangana BJP leaders are a confused lot these days. They fail to understand the party high command’s stand towards ruling TRS in Telangana.

On one hand, the BJP claims that it’s the only alternative for TRS in Telangana and will come to power in Telangana by defeating TRS in 2023 Assembly polls.

On the other hand, the party high command is not cooperating with Telangana BJP leaders in their fight against TRS and KCR.

Telangana BJP leaders are aggressively campaigning that KCR looted public money in the name of Kaleshwaram project and Mission Bhagiratha and BJP will send KCR to Chanchalguda jail soon after BJP comes to power in 2023.

On the other hand, the BJP-led government at the Centre is giving ‘certificate’ to TRS government in Parliament saying that there is no corruption in Kaleshwaram and Mission Bhagiratha projects.

Telangana BJP MPs Bandi Sanjay, Dharmapuri Aravind, Soyam Bapu Rao are frequently raising questions on corruption in Kaleshwaram and Mission Bhagiratha projects in Parliament with a hope that if Centre gives answer saying that there is corruption in these projects, it will give them a weapon to attack TRS government and also to push KCR into defense mode.

But every time, the BJP ministers in Parliament are replying that there is no corruption in the projects executed by TRS government.

This information is instead giving a weapon to TRS to attack Telangana BJP leaders saying that your own party’s government at Centre is certifying in none other Parliament that there is no corruption in TRS government.

With this, Telangana BJP leaders are confused on how to proceed on TRS and seeking clarity from high command to tell whether TRS is our friend or enemy.

Jagadish Reddy, Komatireddy fight reaches flashpoint, Rajagopal arrested

1

The political fight in Nalgonda district between senior TRS leader, minister G Jagadish Reddy and Komatireddy brothers reached a flashpoint.

Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy was arrested by police today (Wednesday) after he tried to obstruct Jagadish Reddy from visiting his constituency Munugode to distribute new ration cards.

Rajagopal snatched mike from the hands of Jagadish two days ago in Choutuppal during ration cards distribution programme two days ago. Rajagopal is angry that Jagadish is not following protocol in district and not inviting Congress MLAs for official programmes.

Rajagopal challenged Jagadish on that day that he will not allow him to tour his Munugode constituency.

Jagadish countered saying he will visit Munugode today and dared Rajagopal to stop him.

Rajagopal supporters obstructed Jagadish convoy today. Police took them into custody. When Rajagopal tried to reach Munugode from Hyderabad today, police arrested him at Outer Ring Road.

Police already booked cases against Rajagopal for snatching mike from Jagadish.

MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy also announced to obstruct Jagadish from touring his Bhongir Lok Sabha constituency.

RS Praveen Kumar not to be TRS candidate from Huzurabad

0

Now it’s almost official. Controversial Dalit activist and IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar is not going to be the TRS candidate from Huzurabad. There is no question of his taking on Eatala Rajendra in the bye election.

Political analysts say there are two indications for this. Firstly, RS Praveen Kumar has not been invited to the launch of the Dalit Bandhu scheme on July 26. His name does not figure among the 412 persons invited to the launch. This also means that he will not be made incharge of KCR’s Dalit-vote-catching scheme. Secondly, RS Praveen Kumar himself has been on an attacking mode when it comes to KCR.

Speaking at a felicitation function organized in Pothireddypalle of Sangareddy district, he said that KCR is not sincere about Dalits. He said KCR has in fact duped the Dalits of Telangana by making the false promise of making a Dalit the first CM of Telangana. That promise has never been fulfilled, he said. This was nothing but a ploy to fool the Dalits, he said. Also, he said that KCR was raining Rs 1000 crore for Huzurabad only with an eye on the bye-elections. He said KCR is only using schemes like Dalit Bandhu only to garner votes.

More importantly, he has indicated that he would serve the Dalits after his retirement. If sources are to be believed, he is thinking on the lines of forming a political party to fight for the rights of the Dalits in Telangana. He has been repeatedly talking about Bahujans after his retirement. Sources say that it is now clear that he would not contest the Huzurabad elections as a TRS candidate and also that he may not take up the stewardship of Dalit Bandhu scheme.

Mothkupalli quits BJP, likely to join TRS

1

The BJP in Telangana received a jolt today (Friday) as senior party leader and former minister Mothkupalli Narasimhulu tendered resignation to BJP.

Mothkupalli is likely to join TRS in a day or two in the presence of TRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Mothkupalli, a senior leader in TDP and worked as minister in TDP government in Undivided Andhra Pradesh quit TDP after bifurcation of state.

He joined BJP two years ago. However he is upset at BJP leadership for not giving him priority in party and ignoring his seniority.

At this stage, KCR held all party meeting on Dalit Empowerment scheme at Pragathi Bhavan in June. Though BJP boycotted the meeting, Mothkupalli attended the meeting against party’s policy arguing that as a Dalit leader he attended the meeting to give few suggestions to Telangana government on Dalit scheme.

From then, speculations were rife in political circles that Mothkupalli has decided to quit BJP and join TRS.

Now that KCR is giving top priority to Dalits and launched Dalit Bandhu scheme, Mothkupalli reportedly got a call from KCR, his longtime friend in TDP, to join TRS.

Mothkupalli reportedly responded positively to KCR’s call and quit BJP to join TRS anytime.

Kaushik Reddy to join TRS tomorrow, is he Huzurabad candidate?

0

Padi Kaushik Reddy, who quit Congress last week, has decided to join TRS on Wednesday (tomorrow).

Kaushik Reddy contested as Congress candidate against then TRS candidate Etela Rajender in 2018 December Assembly polls but he lost by 43,719 votes. Etela secured 1.04 lakh votes, while Kaushik got 61,121 votes. All other parties lost their deposits.

Ever since Etela quit TRS and Assembly seat in June, Kaushik Reddy is waging a war against him in Huzurabad constituency with an aim to contest bypoll and defeat Etela.

Kaushik was trying for Congress ticket and at the same time TRS ticket to contest against Etela.

But the unexpected developments in Telangana Congress following the appointment of A Revanth Reddy as new TPCC chief on June 26 changed the fortunes of Kaushik Reddy in Congress.

There were speculations that Revanth was against Kaushik Reddy and wants to filed former MP Ponnam Prabhakar in his place in Huzurabad bypoll after there were reports in media that Kaushik Reddy met TRS working president KTR and also maintaining ‘secret relations’ with TRS.

At this stage, an audio clip of Kaushik Reddy which was leaked and went viral on social media platforms has put Kaushik Reddy in a fix. In the audio clip, he was heard telling Huzurabad local TRS youth leader that TRS high command has confirmed TRS ticket for him in the bypoll.

The TPCC issued show-cause notice to Kaushik. But instead of replying to show cause notice, Kaushik resigned to Congress and levelled serious allegations against Revanth Reddy alleging that Revanth became TPCC chief by bribing Rs 50 crore to AICC Telangana affairs incharge Manickam Tagore.

With Kaushik Reddy deciding to join TRS on Wednesday, speculations are rife in TRS circles that KCR wants to field Kaushik Reddy from TRS against Etela as Kaushik has put up a good fight against Etela in 2018 and has more chances to win against Etela on TRS ticket in the bypoll.

Will RS Praveen Kumar be the TRS candidate from Huzurabad?

0

Will senior IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar be made the TRS candidate from Huzurabad? This is the question uppermost in the minds of political pundits soon after the news of his resignation from the civil services became public. Praveen Kumar, though controversial for his anti-Hindu pledge and autocratic in his demeanor, is hugely popular among the dalit communities.

Highly placed reports say that he is likely to be made the CEO of the ambitious Dalit Bandhu scheme that the TRS chief and CM KCR is launching ahead of the Huzurabad byelections. The scheme is being launched from Huzurabad itself. He would be given the responsibility of running the scheme, sources say.

At the same time, there are rumours that he would be made the candidate from the Huzurabad constituency. The TRS feels that he would be the best candidate to take on Eatala Rajender. Praveen Kumar has great credibility as an honest official and his anti-Naxal activities have endeared him to large sections of the society. He would also be able to leverage on the Dalit Bandhu scheme and give a tough fight to Eatala.

RS Praveen Kumar’s close relative Metuku Anand is a senior TRS leader and is an MLA from Vikarabad. For the last two days, Metuku Anand is said to have met KCR at least twice and discusses several issues. The name of Pravee Kumar may have come up during the discussion, sources say. Praveen could be made a member of the TRS and then be given the Huzurabad ticket, the sources say.

However, some persons known to be close to RS Praveen Kumar, say that he might work to resurrect Bahujan Samaj Party in Telangana. He is a well-known Dalit activist and is known to have links with Dalit activists like Jignesh Mevani of Gujarat. His moves would become public in a couple of days, say sources.

TV debate turns violent in Huzurnagar, TRS activists attack participants!

1

A live public debate conducted by Raj News Channel in Huzurnagar on Sunday turned violent and led to clashes between TRS and other opposition parties.

Raj News Channel, known to be an anti-TRS channel, conducted a live public debate in Huzurnagar inviting people from all sections and parties to air their views on the development of the constituency.

The speakers were lashing out at TRS MLA Saidi Reddy, TRS government, CM KCR and minister KTR saying that they betrayed them by neglecting their constituency after making several promises during Huzurnagar bypoll in October 2019 and after winning the seat with huge majority.

The participants said none of the promises made by KCR or TRS government during bypolls were fulfilled even after nearly two years.

At this stage, TRS Huzurnagar MLA Saidi Reddy entered the scene along with his followers. They stormed onto the dais and threw away chairs and tables. They stopped the debate and live signal. When people and opposition parties opposed, they started attacking them.

People too retaliated and attacked TRS activists. Several people were injured in the clashes. As the situation was going out of control, the police rushed to the spot and dispersed the mob.

Huzurnagar bypoll was held in October 2019 after sitting Congress MLA N Uttam Kumar Reddy resigned after he was elected as Nalgonda MP in 2019 May Lok Sabha polls. The Congress fielded Uttam’s wife Padmavathi in the bypoll but she lost to TRS candidate Saidi Reddy.

TRS membership reaches 61 lakh

1

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s membership has reached 61 lakh, a senior party leader said on Wednesday.

TRS General Secretary Palla Rajeshwar Reddy claimed that the TRS is the only regional party in the country to have such a large number of members.

He told reporters, after a meeting of party Secretaries, that digitalisation of details of 48 lakh members had already completed, and those of the remaining members will be completed by July 20.

He said that the TRS has started construction of party offices in 31 districts. The work has been completed in 24 districts. The work in remaining seven districts is nearing completion.

Chief Minister and TRS President K. Chandrasekhara Rao will inaugurate the party office in every district.

Rajeshwar Reddy said the party will constitute committees from village to state level in the next two months.

He said the party would reach out to every worker and remain accessible to them. The TRS will also take steps to remain active over social media platforms.

The meeting, presided over by party’s Working President K.T. Rama Rao, discussed various issues to further strengthen the party.

Rajeshwar Reddy said the government has already filled 1.30 lakh vacancies in the government. He thanked the Chief Minister for taking steps to fill another 50,000 vacancies, saying this move would solve the problem of unemployment.

Harish brings’ defected TRS councillors’ back into TRS within 24-hrs!

1

The ruling TRS and opposition BJP are playing a sort of ‘musical chair game’ in Undivided Medak district, the home district of TRS chief and CM K Chandrashekar Rao and finance minister T Harish Rao, in engineering defections in each other party.

The BJP on Tuesday engineered a defection in Dubbak municipality by taking two TRS councillors into its fold.

The two TRS councillors Diviti Kanakaiah (ward no.7) and D Balakrishna (ward no.8) joined BJP in the presence of BJP Dubbak MLA Raghunandan Rao.

This embarrassed TRS, KCR and Harish a lot as it happened in their home district.

Harish immediately sprung into action to bring back defected councillors into TRS.

Within 24 hours, Harish managed to bring them back into TRS.

The two defected councillors rejoined TRS in the presence of Harish today (Wednesday). They expressed apologies for leaving TRS and alleged that BJP leaders lured and mislead them with false promises on developing their wards by sanctioning funds.

They said they will always remain loyal to KCR and TRS.

Former Telangana TDP chief Ramana joins TRS

1

L. Ramana, who resigned as the Telugu Desam Party’s Telangana unit President last week, joined the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Monday.

Ramana took the TRS membership from party’s Working President K. T. Rama Rao at the Telangana Bhavan.

He, along wit his followers, will be formally admitted into the party at a meeting on July 16 in the presence of Chief Minister and TRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Ramana, a former minister in united Andhra Pradesh, and a former MP, had resigned from the TDP on July 9. He had sent his resignation to TDP’s national President N. Chandrababu Naidu.

After receiving the TRS membership, Ramana said he decided to join the TRS at the invitation of Chandrasekhar Rao. He told reporters that he wanted to participate in the development of the state.

Ramana, who had been leading the TDP in Telangana since the formation of the state in 2014, said under the leadership of KCR, he would work to strengthen TRS and for the welfare of the peoples, especially the backward classes.

“I will use my vast experience of last 27 years to work for the state and the party,” he said. He feels that the political situation in Telangana has changed and the TRS is the only party which can safeguard the interests of the state.

Ramana later called on ministers Koppula Eswar and E. Dayakar Rao. They are understood to have discussed party affairs and the government schemes. Ensuing by-election to Huzurabad Assembly constituency is also believed to have figured in the discussion.

Ramana had met KCR on July 8 to express his willingness to join the TRS. The Chief Minister reportedly assured him that he will be given due recognition and political opportunity. He is likely to be nominated as the TRS candidate for the Legislative Council elections that are due in a couple of months.

He was one of the few leaders remaining in the TDP in Telangana. Several top TDP leaders switched loyalties to the TRS during the last seven years.

Ramana, a two-time MLA, had served as Minister for Textiles and Handlooms in undivided Andhra Pradesh in 1994-96.

He was also elected to Lok Sabha from Karimnagar in 1996.

Malla Reddy’s ‘last ditch effort’ to save his minister post!

1

It is widely believed in TRS circles that the sword is hanging on labour minister Ch Malla Reddy and whenever TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao takes up reshuffle of his cabinet, Malla Reddy will be the first one to be dropped from the cabinet.

This is because Malla Reddy embarrassed KCR and TRS several times during the past two years since he became a minister in 2019 by involving in land grabbing cases and getting caught on audio demanding money from party leaders to give party tickets for municipal polls and demanding money from realtors to do real estate business in his Medchal constituency.

However, some unexpected development like Dubbak bypoll, Nagarjunasagar bypoll, graduate MLC polls, municipal polls etc have delayed cabinet reshuffling thereby saving Malla Reddy.

When all these elections were over and the time for cabinet reshuffle came, the sudden development of Etela Rajender’s ouster from TRS forcing Huzurabad bypoll in coming six months saved Malla Reddy again.

Malla Reddy is now trying to exploit this situation to his advantage by making attempts to get closer to KCR and KTR again and save his minister post.

Malla Reddy has made a ‘last ditch effort” to get into the good books of KCR and KTR by luring four Congress corporators in Jawaharnagar municipal corporation and two councillors in Ghatkesar municipality into TRS and got them admitted in TRS today in the presence of KTR at Telangana Bhavan.

KTR praised Malla Reddy for strengthening TRS in Medchal and Malkajgiri Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies.

It remains to be seen whether Malla Reddy’s “last ditch effort” will help him to save his minister post this time.

TRS links: T-Cong slaps show-cause notice on Kaushik Reddy

0

The Telangana Congress on Monday issued show-cause notice to Huzurabad Congress leader P Kaushik Reddy for his ‘secret links’ with TRS.

The Congress pary served showcause notice after an audio of Kaushik Reddy was leaked on social media platforms where he was heard speaking to a Congress party working saying that the TRS leadership has confirmed him party ticket for upcoming Huzurabad bypoll.

The leaked audio went viral on social media platforms. In the audio, Kaushik Reddy was heard telling the Congress party activist that TRS ticket has been confirmed for him for Huzurabad bypoll and he will take care of money required for youth in the constituency.

Kaushik Reddy told him that he will give Rs 5,000 to each youth initially to meet their day-to-day costs and asked him to meet Congress mandal president Vijender to get money.

Kausik Reddy has been giving anxious moments to Congress ever since Etela Rajender quit TRS. Kaushik is moving closely with TRS. He even met KTR personally when KTR visited Huzurabad to attend a private function. However, Kaushik Reddy is condemning the reports of quitting Congress every day.

Kaushik Reddy lost twice to Etela Rajender in Huzurabad seat in 2014 and 2018 Assembly elections.

Strange story of Khammam Boss: TRS ignores, BJP entices, YSRTP lures

1

Time was when he was the unquestioned king of Khammam district’s politics. Wherever he was and whatever his position was, he became a byword for development. As Khammam’s strongman, he had his indelible imprint on the politics. But today, Tummala Nageswara Rao is unusually silent. All eyes are now on this politician and his next moves.

Tummala is currently in a political dilemma. He finds that the party he is in has no value for him. At the same time, he has no inclination to join the party that wants him. After he left the TDP to join the TRS, he was made a key minister in KCR cabinet. However, he lost the election in the 2018 elections and has been on the sidelines ever since. KCR clearly is according more priority to young Ajay Puvvada as he gels well with his son KTR. As a result, Tummala remains ignored.

His supporters and fans are in a mood of dejection. They feel that KCR should have rehabilitated a strong leader like Tummala. This perhaps is the first ever time in the four decades of his active political career that Tummala is without any position of importance for such a long time, they argue. Tummala too has been keeping away from TRS programmes and is largely keeping to himself.

Meanwhile, the BJP is desperately seeking him. The party has made several attempts to entice him. The BjP feels that his entry will drastically change the political landscape in Khammam. Several key BJP leaders have met him and tried to lure him into the party. But, Tummala largely remained lukewarm to the BJP offer.Meanwhile, there are reports that YS Sharmila too has sent him feelers. The party feels that Tummala’s entry could give the party the much-needed big bang.

As of now Tummala has gone on record saying that he would not join the BJP at any cost. He said he would remain with the TRS. However, with the TRS not rehabilitating him honorably, there is disquiet among his supporters. How long with Tummala douse these fires of disquiet remains to be seen.

Will TRS govt remove YSR statues from Telangana?

1

The ongoing Krishna water row between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is taking different twists and turns day after day.

Initially it started as dispute between both the states.

TRS leaders has now turned this dispute as a war between YSR’s family and Telangana people.

TRS leaders are targeting late CM YS Rajashekar Reddy and AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy and accusing them of looting Telangana share of water in Krishna through Pothireddypadu and RLIS.

TRS ministers are now raising the issue of existence of YSR statues in majority of villages, mandals in every district in Telangana even today.

Ministers say they respect Andhra leaders like NG Ranga and have no objection on having their statues in Talangana and asking why YSR statues should be allowed in Telangana who looted Telangana water and blocked formation of Telangana state until he was alive.

They are also questioning why there are no statues of Telangana leaders in Andhra.

In this way, they are giving indications that TRS government may soon remove YSR statues from Telangana branding him as anti Telangana.

TRS ‘strategy’ behind attacking YSR, Jagan!

1

The ruling TRS in Telangana has stepped up its verbal attack on late CM YS Rajashekar Reddy and AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy as July 8 date nears.

YSR’s daughter and Jagan’s sister is launching her “YSR Telangana Party” (YSRTP) in Telangana on July 8 on the occasion of YSR’s birth anniversary.

Sharmila is touring Karimnagar district tomorrow to console families who lost the lives of their near and dear ones due to Covid and also due to failures of TRS government on various issues.

TRS has devised a strategy to check Sharmila’s party in Telangana. It wants to aggressively project YSR’s family as ‘anti Telangana’ by calling YSR as ‘thief’ and Jagan as ‘bigger thief’ who stole and stealing Telangana’s share of Krishna water to Seemandhra.

Accordingly, TRS ministers and MLAs were asked to conduct press meets daily to attack YSR and Jagan thereby push Sharmila into defensive mode in Telangana ahead of her party’s launch on July 8.

This TRS MP has high level connections in BJP

0

He is an MP from one party, but has friends in another party. He professes loyalty to the party he is currently in. At the same time, he hobnobs with the friends in another party. It is but natural that doubts arise about which party he is in. Huzurabad MP BB Patil is facing the same situation. Patil, a two-time MP is from Madnoor in Kamareddy mandal and shifted to Maharashtra to set up business.

He is now in TRS, but he has lot many friends in the BjP. In fact, before he joined politics in 2014, he was in Maharashtra and had deep connections in the BJP. He knew the top leaders very well. When he made his political foray, the BJP was his first choice. However, his pragmatism and real politic made him to switch over to the TRS. But his connections with the BJP have not been cut completely. Hence, there are doubts over whether he will stay in the TRS or resign the party to join the BJP.

Ever since, Eatala Rajender rebelled against the TRS leadership and joined hands with Kamareddy former MLA Enugu Ravinder Reddy, doubts began about whether Patil would stay in the TRS or leave for the BjP. To add to the debate, BJP state president repeatedly said that a leader of the stature of MP will soon resign from the TRS to join the BJP. All these have fuelled speculations about his continuance in the TRS.

However, he is also very close to Minister Harish Rao. Harish Rao is said to have met him and convinced him not to take any drastic step. He reportedly told him to remain in the TRS. So, on Thursday, BB Patil issued a clarification saying he would not resign from the party. He said he was elected on TRS ticket and added that he there was no question of joining the BJP. But sources in the know say that BB Patil is still in touch with the top BJP leadership.

TRS gives twist to Sharmila’s Huzurnagar tour!

1

YS Sharmila, the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who announced to launch her “YSR Telangana Party” on July 8 in Telangana, is currently undertaking “Odarpu Yatra” in Telangana districts to console families who lost their kin due to lack of jobs and failure of TRS government in releasing job notifications.

Sharmila is undertaking these yatras to bring her party closer to people ahead of her party’s launch in July.

However, the ruling TRS government is creating hurdles to Sharmila under some pretext or the other. She is being stopped by police midway on the grounds of flouting Covid norms by travelling in big convoys.

On Wednesday, Sharmila toured Huzurnagar constituency. She was supposed to console the family of Neelakanti Sai in Medaram village.

Sai recently attempted suicide allegedly due to lack of job and failure of TRS government in issuing job notifications for the last three years. But he was admitted to the hospital later where he recovered.

However, when Sharmila arrived at his home, she was shocked to see his home locked.

Sharmila’s supporters alleged that TRS leaders shifted Sai and his family members to an unknown location and locked up his house after coming to know that Sharmila is visiting his home.

They raised slogans against KCR and TRS. However, Sharmila continued her tour in front of his locked house by holding a meeting with unemployed youth in the village.

She promised that she will issue job notifications to fill 2 lakh vacancies in government departments after her party comes to power in Telangana in December 2023 Assembly polls and appealed to Telangana youth not to commit suicides.

TRS overjoyed at Amit Shah, Nadda’s absence during Etela’s joining!

The TRS leadership is overjoyed at the absence of BJP’s top national leaders during the joining of former TRS leaders into BJP on Monday in Delhi.

Etela’s camp as well as Telangana BJP leaders on Sunday claimed that Etela will join BJP on Monday in the presence of union home minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda.

They claimed that Etela’s joining in their presence will prove how much priority the BJP national leadership is giving to Etela.

Shockingly, both were not present when Etela joined on Monday.

The unexpected BJP leaders who welcomed Etela into BJP was Dharmendra Pradhan, the union minister of petroleum.

There were speculations that Etela and few other TRS leaders who joined BJP did not recognise Dharmendra Pradhan as he not that powerful or noted leader in BJP. Telangana BJP leaders G Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay, Vivek Venkataswamy etc had introduced Dharmendra Pradhan to Etela and others.

This reportedly made Etela and other TRS leaders upset who doubt whether they would get priority or not in Telangana BJP as none of the top BJP national leaders attended Etela’s joining because Etela was considered as No.2 in TRS in terms of seniority after KCR.

The dull joining programme of Etela naturally made TRS leadership upbeat. TRS leaders say it shows Etela has no priority in Telangana BJP and he will disappear from Telangana politics soon with his foolish decision to quit TRS and join BJP.

TRS or BJP?: L Ramana in two minds!!

1

T TDP president L Ramana is in a dilemma. His dilemma is whether to join the TRS or BJP. Though he has an open offer from the ruling TRS ahead of the Huzurabad byelections, he is also said to be in touch with the BJP biggies in Telangana. He is said to be weighing all options before taking a plunge.

Those close to him say that the TRS has offered him an MLC seat and a minister’s post. But, Ramana knows that he would be a minister for just two years. After that, he is not sure of getting a ministry. Also, sources close to him say that he is apprehensive of how KCR would treat him after he joins the party. As someone who knows KCR very well, he is unsure of KCR’s treatment.

On the other hand, Ramana is said to be looking for settling his son in politics. He feels that the BJP could offer him some kind of guarantee. The party could make his son the MLA candidate and if he manages to win, he would have a fruitful political career. Sources say that the BJP has assured to give ticket to his son. Several top BJP leaders, who spoke to him, have reportedly given him this assurance. Hence Ramana is said to be vacillating. He is consulting his friends, associates and supporters about his future political moves.
