Raju’s actions compelled us to move disqualification petition: Vijaysai Reddy

0

Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy, who issued a show-cause notice to Narsapuram Lok Sabha MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju, on Friday confirmed that the YSRCP party has submitted a disqualification petition against him.

Talking to the media after meeting Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Vijayasai Reddy said Raju had consistently lowered the public image of the party by making anti-party statements. “The heart and soul of Raghurama Krishnam Raju is not with the YSRCP party,” Vijayasai Reddy stated. He said the YSRCP after much deliberations on the matter has finally decided to initiate stringent possible action against the Lok Sabha Speaker. Vijayasai Reddy said the YSRCP leadership gave utmost respect to Raju, despite this he has been making anti-party statements.

Vijayasai Reddy recalled that Raju was appointed as Narasapuram as the chairman of the Subordinate Legislation Committee. Vijayasai Reddy said while Raghuram Krishnam Raju claims to be the faithful soldier of Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress party, his statements prove otherwise. “His words and actions are contradictory. He has been using most objectionable language against the party’s MLAs. It is not acceptable to the party. He violated the party’s internal discipline. Raju’s actions compelled the party to move a disqualification petition against him,” Vijayasai Reddy pointed out.

Meanwhile, YSRCP Mithun Reddy said the people should get ready for bypolls in Narsapuram even as Raju’s disqualification is yet to be approved by the Lok Sabha Speaker.

Earlier in the day, YSRCP MPs including Nandigama Suresh, Margani Bharat Ram, Mithun Reddy and Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu left to New Delhi in a special flight from Vijayawada. The MPs complained to the Lok Sabha Speaker that Raju was indulging in anti-party activities. Along with the disqualification petition, the YSRCP MPs also submitted soft copies of Raju’s public statements to strengthen their argument that the Narsapuram Lok Sabha MP was Raju making anti-party remarks to lower the party’s public image.

On Thursday, Raju dubbed the MPs flight to New Delhi a mere show. “The MPs and lawyers are meeting the Lok Sabha Speaker with the consent of the Chief Minister. MPs and lawyers flying from Vijayawada to Delhi to meet the Lok Sabha Speaker is a wasteful expenditure and an exercise in futility. The MPs could have mailed their grievance. Why take a special flight? This is nothing but a mere show. Ultimately, it is taxpayers money,” he criticised.

On Friday, Raju has already filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court against show cause notice issued to him by Vijayasai Reddy. The MP argued that the show cause notice issued was misleading.

In his petition, Raju also contended that Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party has not constituted a disciplinary committee to take action against him. Earlier, replying to the show cause notice, Raju questioned its legal sanctity as the party was registered as Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party and not as YSR Congress Party under whose letterhead the show cause notice was issued.

“Please be informed that Anna YSR Congress Party is another political party registered with the Election Commission of India. The Election Commission of India has refused to register the name YSR Congress Party when we applied on May 6, 2015,” Raju had stated in his reply to the show cause notice. Further, he sought to know in what capacity Vijayasai Reddy has sent the show cause notice to him.

“I am surprised to see you designating yourself as national general secretary of our party which is Registered as State recognised party as per Para 6A of the Election Symbols Reservation and Allotment Order 1968.”

Jagan clips Vijayasai Reddy’s wings

0

In a rude jolt to Rajya Sabha MP and YSRCP general secretary Vijayasai Reddy on his birthday, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy stripped him of his responsibility of overseeing party affairs at his Tadepalli camp office.

Vijaya Sai Reddy is considered as Jagan’s man Friday. Considered to be Jagan’s trusted lieutenant and a master strategist, Vijayasai Reddy stood by Jagan through thick and thin. The party general secretary stood by Jagan and even went to jail with him in the disproportionate assets and quid pro quo cases. He has been with Jagan when he was going through a rough patch, especially when he was facing the CBI heat in the disproportionate assets case. However, Jagan has restricted the role of Vijayasai Reddy. While limiting the role of Vijayasai Reddy, the YSRCP president has asked him to oversee the party affairs in North Andhra (Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Vizag).

Jagan has entrusted his advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy to oversee party affairs at Tadepalli office. Further, Y V Subbareddy was asked to oversee and monitor party affairs in Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Chittoor districts.

Political observers said this is the first step taken by Jagan Mohan Reddy to sideline Vijayasai Reddy. However, speculations over differences between Jagan and Vijayasai Reddy emerged when the latter was not part of the team that visited Vizag to console the victims of the gas tragedy.

However, Vijaya Sai Reddy scoffed at the speculation reports that he had been sidelined by Jagan owing to some differences. He termed such reports as cooked up stories and that he had remained a close follower of Jagan since the formation of the YSRCP.

Interestingly, Vijayasai Reddy was conspicuously absent when Jagan Mohan Reddy flagged off a fleet of 1,088 vehicles of 108 and 104 ambulances at Benz Circle in Vijayawada on Wednesday. Jagan along with ministers Kali Krishna Srinivas, Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy and officials of the departments concerned took part in the launch ceremony.

Jagan apparently distanced Vijayasai Reddy with growing criticism from the opposition over prematurely cancelling the existing contract with ‘108’ service provider BVG India Ltd. The opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had claimed this was done in order to give the contract at a higher price to Aurobindo Pharma Foundation Consortium, which is co-founded by P V Ramprasad Reddy, who is related to Vijayasai Reddy.

It’s a war with VSR but not YSR, says RRR

0

Raghu Rama Raju (RRR) is now giving new clarity on the ongoing controversy of his party notice to him. RRR says that his fight is not against YSR party but it is with VSR (Vijaya Sai Reddy). The Narsapuram MP says he remains loyal to CM Jaganmohan Reddy and he has been behaving like the beloved, committed soldier of the party.

Raghu Rama Raju says he is being targeted by VSR every since the resounding success of his dinner party to the MPs and Union Ministers in Delhi. The MP is expressing surprise why Vijayasai Reddy has taken a personal grudge against him. In fact, VSR is number 2 leader with many posts within the YSR party and outside. RRR says that he is a very small leader compared to VSR but he is being needlessly cornered. In fact, VSR has got the Parliamentary committee chairman post much before himself.

Raghu Rama Raju has asked whether it’s wrong to get the committee chairman post through his personal rapport with the Central Government in Delhi. The MP has again said the Vijayasai Reddy notice is in violation of the Constitution of India. Every MP takes an oath by the Constitution in the Parliament. As per this, RRR says he has stood by the Constitution in respect of English medium, TTD properties, etc. RRR further says unlike VSR, he is bringing good name to the party.

Vijayasai Reddy show-cause notice has no legal sanctity: Raghurama Krishnam Raju

0

Reacting sharply to the show-cause notice issued by YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy, party’s Lok Sabha MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju sought to know if YSRCP has an internal committee to deal with inter-party disciplinary issues.

Raju, who dashed off his response to the show-cause notice on Thursday, asked who heads the internal disciplinary committee of the YSRCP. Further, he sought to know if the internal disciplinary committee of the party is recognised by the Election Commission of India.

Most importantly, the Lok Sabha MP questioned the legal sanctity of the show-cause sent by Vijayasai Reddy. In his response, Raju stated that the show-cause notice lacked legal sanctity as it was served under the letter head of the YSR Congress Party instead of the party name ‘Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party’ which is the registered name in the Election Commission of India.

“Please be informed that Anna YSR Congress Party is another political party registered with the Election Commission of India. The Election Commission of India has refused to register the name YSR Congress Party when we applied on May 6, 2015. No request or communication was ever made for change of the name by our party as per clause 9 Section 29A of The Representation of the People’s Act 1951. I hope and trust you have taken permission from our beloved president Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy garu to use the letter heads with YSR Congress Party printed on it. Since the Election Commission clearly indicated to us not to use YSR on the letterhead and instead asked us to use Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party only,” he reminded the YSRCP leadership.

“Have you served this show-cause notice in the capacity of National General Secretary? If so, I doubt the authority vested to this chair with all regards as per the party constitution that was submitted by our party to the Election Commission of India. It is the byelaw of our party that we ought to be constituting a disciplinary committee ever since we intend to call ourselves a political party. I would stand obligated to answer only upon establishing that there is a disciplinary committee and the procedure stipulated to and notified by Election Commission were adhered to in word and spirit. If not, I may have to treat you unauthorised to address the communication and forced to take legal proceedings for misleading one and all,” Raju warned.

On Wednesday, Vijayasai Reddy issued a show cause notice to Raju seeking an explanation from the Lok Sabha MP for the recent comments he made.

Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy, widely known as A2, stated that inter-party discipline is supreme and the party will take strong action against those who violate it. Further, Vijayasai Reddy noted that the party will wait for the response from Raju and necessary action will be taken depending on the response.

Raju has been publicly voicing his opinion on various omissions and commissions of the YSRCP government, including its policy on sand, land and liquor. The Lok Sabha MP openly expressed his displeasure over the proposed sale of TTD assets stating that such a move would hurt the sentiments of the devotees.

The YSRCP MP had also raised the issue of sand scarcity in AP due to the flawed policy adopted by the Jagan government which has led to a steep spike in the price of sand thereby paralyzing the construction industry. More recently, Raju used Rajanikant’s popular dialogue (Nanna pandule gumpuga vastayi simham Single ga vastundi — pigs come in herd , but a lion walks in solo) to hit out at his political critics.

Raju also dashed off a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressing fear of threat to his life from his party’s leaders in his native district West Godavari district. In his letter written to the Speaker on June 18, Raju had requested that he be provided security by police protection in the wake of increased threats from YSRCP leader.

In recent times, the YSRCP leaders have come out in the open to criticize Jagan’s sand policy. Vinukonda YSRCP MLA Bolla Brahma Naidu admitted that the sand mafia was operating rampantly in Andhra Pradesh. YSRCP MLA Kileru Rosaiah bemoaned that the sand was not reaching stock points, while Kothapet YSRCP legislator Jaggi Reddy slammed the APMDC saying it had miserably failed to supply sand to everyone. Jaggi Reddy found fault with the online sale of sand. He said the moment one attempts to book sand through online, the sales seem to be over in five minutes.

Won’t tolerate party indiscipline: Vijayasai Reddy

0

The YSRCP leadership has given a terse message to MLAs and MPs who express unhappiness against the party policies and told them in categorical terms that the leadership will not tolerate any indiscipline.

Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy, widely known as A2, stated that inter-party discipline is supreme and the party will take strong action against those who violate it. Vijayasai Reddy on Wednesday said show-cause notice was issued to Raghurama Krishnam Raju for transgressing party discipline.

Further, Vijayasai Reddy noted that the party will wait for the response from Raju and necessary action will be taken depending on the response. The Rajya Sabha MP pointed out that the party had given utmost respect to Raju among all the MPs. Vijayasai Reddy also reminded that Raghurama Krishnam Raju was given the post of chairman of Legislative Committee in Parliament. However, Raju has breached the party discipline which will not be tolerated, Vijayasai Reddy said.

The YSRCP leadership has been mightily displeased with Lok Sabha MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju’s recent comments. More recently, Raghu Rama krishnam Raju used Rajanikant’s popular dialogue (Nanna pandule gumpuga vastayi simham Single ga vastundi — pigs come in herd , but a lion walks in solo) to hit out at his political critics.

On Wednesday, the LS MP stated that he will respond to the show-cause notice in a day or two, while pointing out that he only raised certain issues through videos as he could not get personal appointment with the Chief Minister. Since he was not getting an appointment with the CM, he was left with no option but to make the “suggestions” through the media with an intention that the issues he had raised will be addressed by the party high command.

In recent times, the YSRCP leaders have come out in the open to criticise Jagan’s sand policy. Vijaysai Reddy involved in Rs 307 crore scam, arrest him: Pattabhi Ram

0

TDP official spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhi Ram on Monday accused the Andhra Pradesh police of acting like a puppet in the hands of the ruling YSRCP.

The TDP leader told a TV channel that the Andhra Pradesh government was targeting him after he blew the lid on YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijaysai Reddy and P V Ramprasad Reddy’s involvement in Rs 307 crore corruption in purchase and maintenance of 108 ambulances.

Pattabhi Ram said instead of arresting Vijaysai Reddy and Ramprasad Reddy, the police had come to his house to harass him for exposing the misdeeds of YSRCP leaders. P V Ramaprasad Reddy, is the co-founder of Hyderabad-based Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, and Vijaysai Reddy’s son-in-law Rohit Reddy’s father.

Backed with evidence, TDP official spokesperson accused Vijaysai Reddy and Ramprasad Reddy of resorting to large-scale irregularities in purchase and maintenance of 108 ambulances. Further, Pattibhi Ram sought to know why the Jagan government had issued GO 116 on February 13, 2020, to give the contract of maintenance of 108 services to Ramprasad Reddy’s Aurobindo Foundation. The TDP spokesperson pointed out that the said GO was issued in violation of an existing contract with the BVG-UKSAS Emergency Medical Services.

He sought to know why the Jagan government was silent on the issue when the same government had shown over-enthusiasm in arresting Atchannaidu. The TDP spokesperson said while Atchannaidu was arrested even when there was no evidence to prove his involvement in the ESI scam, the government was turning a blind eye to the involvement of Vijaysai Reddy in the Rs 307 crore corruption scam in purchase and maintenance of 108 ambulances.

“In Atchannaidu’s case, there is no evidence. The government has arrested Atchnnaidu only based on a letter. The vigilance report did not mention his name in the ESI scam. I have at least seven GOs to show the involvement of Vijaysai Reddy in a massive scam in purchase and maintenance of 108 ambulances. The TDP government did not cancel previous agreements and allowed GVK to run 108 services till September 2016. After the agreement expired, a tender was invited in which BVG emerged as the lowest bidder. A contract was signed with BVG to maintain 108 services from December 13, 2017, to December 12, 2020, for a period of three years. However, the present government in a tearing hurry brought in GO116 to give the maintenance contract to Aurobindo. Why did this government cancel the contract with BVG and preferred Aurobindo which has no prior experience in this field. Why was GO 105 issued on 5.9.2019 to add 432 new ambulances through a finance arrangement? I am ready to send all the documentary evidence I have with me to the DGP’s office. Let this government order a probe into the whole affair,” Pattibhi Ram demanded.

Vijayasai goes silent – Sajjala , Roja take lead

0

YCP controversial MP Vijayasai Reddy is known for his complicated tweets. His tweets used to be especially bitter and caste-based and often objectionably personal against Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh. He used to take the lead to make counter attacks on rivals whenever his party confronted a crisis. Now, the greatest political crisis is posed to Jagan Reddy Government when it is celebrating completion of its first one year rule. The AP High Court has cancelled the Ordinance and ordered that Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar would continue as the State Election Commissioner till his full term lasts.

The moment the court order came out, Opposition parties launched scathing attacks demanding resignation of Jagan Reddy. On behalf of the YCP, Advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, MLA RK Roja, Ministers Audimulapu Suresh took upon themselves the task of countering the rival attacks. For the first time since last elections, Vijayasai Reddy has not made a single comment nor issued a single tweet. He fell silent during LG Polymers tragedy itself but somehow he went to Visakhapatnam and tried to cover up the situation a little. However, on the return of SEC Ramesh Kumar, Vijayasai stayed totally silent.

Already, there are reports that all is not well between Jagan Reddy and Vijayasai Reddy. It is said CM was unhappy with the MP ever since some unpalatable comments made by him in the CBI court a few weeks ago. The crisis is deepening in YCP internal politics.

Ramesh Kumar letter fake and forged, Vijaysai Reddy writes to DGP

0

Even as Andhra Pradesh continues to see a surge of corona crisis with the state registering more than 500 cases, the YSRCP leaders seem to be more bothered about elections to civic bodies and rather busier on how to further nail the former State Election Commissioner after first sacking him from his office.

On Wednesday, senior YSRCP leader and Rajya Sabja member Vijayasai Reddy shot off a letter to DGP Gautam Sawang asking the police officials to seriously look into who had sent the letter to the Union home secretary purportedly written by Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar. In the letter to DGP, Vijayasai Reddy alleged that the letter was not written by Ramesh Kumar and “in fact it was a fake and forged one”.

Vijayasai Reddy said the tone and tenor of the letter indicates it might not have been written by Ramesh Kumar asked the DGP to trace the IP address to find out from which system the letter purportedly written by Ramesh Kumar was sent the Union home secretary. “It is fake and a forged letter,” YSRCP Rajya Sabha member wrote to the DGP.

As a matter of fact, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy confirmed that the Union Home Ministry did receive a letter from Ramesh Kumar seeking protection from central forces for him and his family members as he feared physical attacks from the YSRCP leaders. In the letter, Ramesh Kumar made serious allegations against the YSRCP government and the Andhra Pradesh police.

Ramesh Kumar had written the letter after deferring the elections citing corona virus threat. At that time, not a single corona case was reported. The deferment of polls was challenged by the YSRCP in Supreme Court which upheld the SEC’s decision. The Opposition parties hailed the SEC decision saying the move has averted a big danger to the state in light of corona virus. In the meanwhile, the state government hurriedly moved an Ordinance to remove Ramesh Kumar by amending the AP Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, and cut short the tenure of SEC to three years from five years. The Opposition leaders termed the state government’s decision to remove Ramesh Kumar as undemocratic and said had it not been for him the situation in Andhra Pradesh could have been worse. Andhra Pradesh reported more than 500 cases thereafter with at least 11 deaths.

AP got huge FDIs during TDP govt rule: Vijayasai Reddy

0

Strange it may sound but YSRCP leader and Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy has admitted officially that Andhra Pradesh attracted huge Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) during TDP government rule.

Vijayasai Reddy who criticises TDP government and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu day in and day out by conducting press meets and also on social media platforms, submitted a report to the Centre that AP attracted 6897.97 million US dollars (approximately Rs 50,000 crore) FDIs in three years between 2016 and 2019 when N Chandrababu Naidu was ruling the state.

Vijayasai Reddy is the chairman of parliamentary standing committee for union commerce ministry.

In his capacity as chairman, Vijayasai Reddy submitted a report saying that AP stood sixth in the country in attracting higher FDIs.

The report says that the first place was occupied by Maharashtra (44,459 million USD), followed by Delhi (23,681 million USD), Karnataka (17,429 million USD), Tamil Nadu (8,305 million USD), Gujarat (7,260 million USD) and AP stood sixth at (6,897 million USD).

Vijayasai Reddy’s report proves that all his criticism against TDP government and Naidu of AP going backward during TDP rule were rubbish.

Vijayasai Reddy himself confirmed that his allegations were fake with his own report.

GVL and Vijayasai silenced by anti-Jagan groups

0

YCP MPs attacked and branded BJP MP Sujana Chowdary as a TDP agent. Consequently, Sujana had no option but to scale down his criticism against CM Jagan’s 3 Capitals decision. On the other hand, another BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao has been continuing his comments in favour of the AP Capital shifting. This has led to an impression whether the Modi-Shah duo are also in support of Jagan arbitrary decisions despite the embarrassment to the Centre on the cancellation of PPAs of solar power companies.

In a timely counter, multiple attacks are launched against GVL by the CPI and TDP who began branding GVL as a Jagan Reddy agent in the BJP. GVL tried to fight back but he was forced into silence because of increasing criticism.
Now, YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy is defending GVL but it is only sending wrong signals. YCP is apparently alarmed that the only BJP MP supporting it is falling silent at a crucial hour. Moreover, anti-Jagan BJP groups are now bringing forward MPs like TG Venkatesh to strongly counter GVL and Vijayasai.

CM Jagan CBI cases echo in LS and RS

0

The TDP MPs are desperate to get the Modi government to interfere with the AP Capital shifting issue. The Centre is giving indications of its inability to stop Jagan Circar from setting up 3 Capitals decision n Andhra Pradesh. Yet, the BJP gave an opportunity to TDP MPs to raise AP CM issue in the Parliament. This was despite the strong objections raised by YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy.

In the Rajya Sabha, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu gave chance to TDP MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar who demanded special courts to hear Jagan Reddy’s Rs 43,000 Cr CBI illegal assets cases. Kanakamedala raised Jagan’s name saying that AP CM is misusing his post to skip the court appearances. He demanded faster disposal of 11 CBI cases so as to prevent misuse of authority in his capacity as CM.

In the Lok Sabha, TDP MP Galla Jayadev told the House how the national media described Jagan Reddy as a Tughlaq for arbitrarily shifting Executive Capital from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam. The YCP MPs raised slogans against this but Jayadev went on listing out the atrocities of AP government and demanded immediate intervention of the Centre.

Vijayasai lashes at Modi budget but Raju praises

0

Different YCP MPs reacted differently to the Union Budget. As expected, Vijayasai Reddy hit hard at the Centre for not giving the promised special status nor allocating required funds for AP projects. Whereas, self-styled YCP MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju heaped lots of praise on the Modi government for its meticulous plans to protect the Indian people. Raju wishes for the continuation of Modi leadership in the best interests of the country as a whole. Raju said maximum funds would be brought to AP from the Rs 3 lakh Cr allocated for agriculture, irrigation and allied sectors.

On the other hand, Vijayasai deplored that the Central Government was clearly showing an empty hand to the non-BJP ruled states especially Andhra Pradesh. That is not good for a vast country like India. For BJP-ruled Bangalore Capital, Rs 18,500 Cr metro suburban rail project is given. But not a single rupee is given for metro rail projects in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad. Certainly, this budget gave a strong blow to both Telugu CMs, Jagan Reddy and KCR.
While AP people are shocked at Central indifference, BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao clarified that BJP has already termed special status as a closed chapter. He hinted at Central help to Polavaram in future, asking AP people not to worry.

Vijayasai blocking Parliament debate on AP Council?

Union Minister Rajnath Singh held an all-party meeting to finalize the burning issues to be discussed in the Parliament. TDP Floor Leader Galla Jayadev asked for taking up debates on the AP Capital shifting and also AP Council Abolition. In a quick reaction, YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy objected to that, saying that the Capital related issues do not come under the purview of the Parliament.

Obviously, in Vijayasai opinion, the Capital issues are the sole concern of the state government concerned. The respective CM can do whatever he likes. Even more alarmingly, Vijayasai is suggesting that there is no need for discussing Council abolition in the Parliament. Does he mean that there is no need for Parliament to pass AP Council Abolition Act?

Apparently, Vijayasai would like to get Council abolition approved by Union Cabinet and then Parliament silently without any big debate. This way, the long laborious process of Parliamentary debates can be bypassed. The same happened when Parliament passed the AP Reorganization Act.

As an auditor, Vijayasai might have played with figures and numbers but that is not easy with Parliamentary traditions all the time. Ultimately, AP people are eagerly waiting to see whether Modi-Shah would side with Amaravati or not.

Vijayasai comments on Pawan Delhi trip

0

YCP Number 2 Vijayasai Reddy broke his silence and strongly hit back at Pawan’s damaging comments. Vijayasai sarcastically asked whether Pawan Kalyan came to his true senses after taking a class from the BJP national leaders. Prior to his Delhi visit, Jana Senani boasted to the Amaravati farmers that he was going to the national capital to ensure collapse of the YCP government. Vijayasai said that now after taking lectures from BJP top leaders, Pawan has taken a U-turn on his earlier comments. Vijayasai says that Pawan has admitted now that the Centre has no role to play in the AP Capital shifting issue.

Has Vijayasai misjudged the silence of BJP leaders? Political circles say that the Modi-Shah duo are waiting for the right time to give a constitutionally correct blow to the Jagan Reddy government. In fact, Pawan Kalyan was called to Delhi on an emergency only to give a fitting reply if 3 Capitals Bill was passed in Assembly and Council. The BJP has been waiting for right time to enter the scene and claim all the credit by solving the Capital crisis. For the last few days, BJP crisis manager GVL Narasimha Rao is monitoring and leading BJP-Jana Sena coordination. But, the Council deadlock changed the game altogether. TDP got upper hand for now while Vijayasai chose Pawan as his soft target.

Naidu-Vijayasai strategy wars from Council gallery

0

AP Ex Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and YCP Number 2 Vijayasai Reddy are camping in the separate gallery boxes to guide their MLCs in the AP Legislative Council on the 3 Capitals Bill. Nearly 22 YCP Ministers are there inside the Council to bulldoze and get the Bill passed. But the TDP Floor Leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu is demanding that the Capitals Bill should be referred to a Select Committee. Whereas, Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said that technically, it wouldn’t be possible as TDP didn’t ask for Select Committee in advance. TDP asked how can it predict that the there would be so much deadlock on the issue.

The Council turned into a battle zone throughout the day. Both YCP and TDP stuck strongly to their positions. The Chairman had to adjourn the Council several times. Naidu had to remain in the gallery because TV live coverage of the Council was suspended by the ruling YCP to avoid getting negative attention from the viewers. Both Naidu and Vijayasai were seen consulting and guiding their MLCs in the Council strategy wars. Naidu is personally monitoring Council strategy to prevent the YCP from winning some more MLCs in favour of the Capitals Bill.

Vijayasai tries to drag President Kovind into Sujana controversy!

0

YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy is trying to create false hype by raking up the issue of President Ramnath Kovind referring the complaint against BJP MP Sujana Chowdhary to the union home ministry.

While the fact remains that it’s customary on the part of any President to refer the complaints to departments concerned, whatever he receives from anyone, Vijaysai Reddy is trying to give ‘build up’ as if President had referred the Sujana case to the union home minister for the first time only after he lodged complaint with him.

Sujana Chowdhary on Tuesday hits back at Vijayasai saying that there were no serious allegations or complaints by an individual or a person pending against him.

He said Vijayasai was only resorting to cheap gimmicks like lodging a complaint against him with the President of India’s office to tarnish his image.

Sujana Chowdhary said that Vijayasai Reddy, who was in Chanchalguda jail for 16 months, had written to letter to President’s office on September 16 levelling false charges against them.

The President’s Office in November had referred the issue to the Union Home Ministry as it was customary for it.

Sujana said that it was cheap gimmick resorted to by Vijayasai Reddy with the help of the acknowledgement issued by the office of the President of India. He said there is no significance to Vijayasai’s complaint as being claimed by him.

Bheemili next Capital: Beach front house for CM?

Exactly, the YCP government is developing future core capital of AP near Bheemili municipal town. It is nearly 25 kms north of Visakhapatnam. The town is one of the oldest municipalities in the country. Bheemili beach is a favourite destination for picnickers. YCP Number 2 Vijayasai Reddy has confirmed Bheemili as the seat of next administrative capital. It is going to have Secretariat, Assembly, High Court bench, MLA quarters and, most importantly, Chief Minister’s Office. What more, YCP leaders have already identified a huge chunk of sea-front land for building another house for Jagan Reddy family. This will not be a small one like his house in Tadepalli. This will be an iconic one just like CM’s residences at Lotus Pond and Bangalore.

Vijayasai has been camping in Vizag for the last few weeks to make arrangements for Capital functioning as early as possible. Jagan Reddy is indeed in a hurry to shift Capital the sooner the better. Already, YCP North Coastal Andhra leaders began attacking Chandrababu Naidu saying that the Opposition leader is blocking the setting up of Capital there. Vijayasai is saying that Bheemili Capital will usher in all-round development in North Coastal districts which are till now backward. Jagan Reddy is confident of winning majority seats in North Coastal Andhra by provoking local people against TDP, BJP and Jana Sena.

Vijayasai complains to LS Speaker against ABN and Eenadu

0

The ruling YCP has taken its fight against the media to the Lok Sabha as well. MP Vijayasai Reddy complained to the LS Speaker that the Andhra Jyoti and Eenadu groups have defamed him by giving bad reports on the recent all-party meeting in Delhi. Vijayasai appealed to the Speaker to cancel the entry passes given to ETV, ABN and their respective newspaper reporters. They should be banned from covering the House proceedings. Vijayasai has taken it personally saying that the reports on Amit Shah and Congress MPs getting angry at him were false and highly damaging to his reputation. That incident has given Vijayasai lot of embarrassment within the YCP Parliamentary Party.

In a quick but sarcastic counter, TDP MP Kesineni Nani suggested that Vijayasai ask the Lok Sabha to pass a legislation to ban all the other media except Sakshi TV and newspaper. The TDP is stepping up its counter attacks against YCP on each and every issue nowadays. The TDP has already raised in the Parliament about the issue of YCP Government harassment against the media in AP in the name of GO 2430.

Amit Shah fires at Vijayasai at Delhi all-party meet

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has openly expressed his dissatisfaction at the impatient attitude of YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy. It happened at the all-party meeting held in Delhi ahead of the coming Parliament session. Shah fired at Vijayasai asking him why he is needlessly starting a debate on the issue of Ex Minister Chidambaram’s bail issue. Shah asked YCP MP why he is responding on an issue that is not connected to his party.

The whole issue came up when Congress told the all-party meet that Chidambaram should be permitted to take bail in order to attend the Parliament winter session. As Congress members were about to explain their stand, Vijayasai Reddy intervened and accused Congress of double standards. Reddy said that Congress harassed Jaganmohan Reddy by filing false cases and putting him in jail when it was in power.

The leaders of other parties took immediate objection to Vijayasai remarks. They told Vijayasai to realise the significance of all-party meet at which issues of a particular state cannot be raised. Amit Shah also gave a blow to Vijayasai who had no option but to fall silent.

Vijayasai hits back at TDP resignation demand

0

The ruling YCP leaders started forcefully defending their Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy against rising criticism from the Opposition parties after the CBI Court verdict. YCP says that TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu has no moral right to demand resignation of Jagan as he himself got exposed in the Vote for Note scam. MP Vijayasai Reddy asked whether Naidu didn’t get stay orders from the courts in over 18 corruption cases.

Going by Vijayasai’s comment, it is now clear that the YCP leaders are well prepared to counter the opposition attacks. Obviously, the Ministers and MLAs have done their home work to defend Jagan against any outcome of the AP CM’s Rs 43,000 cr CBI illegal assets cases. Now Jagan is highly unlikely to resign despite the fact that he will be having to attend CBI Court every Friday in his capacity as the chief minister.

New questions come up. Will the Andhra people be made to bear the Rs 60 lakh cost for every Jagan appearance before the Nampally CBI court in Hyderabad? The opposition leaders are demanding that Jagan should pay the court costs from his own pocket. Because of CM CBI cases, Andhra is in the news for all wrong reasons.
