King Nagarjuna’s upcoming movie Wild Dog is 60% complete and a major schedule of the film was planned to be shot in Thailand. Right before the movie unit wanted to head for shoot, the country was impacted with coronavirus. Nag and his team decided to put the shoot of hold till things turn better. It is now clear that it would not be possible to shoot for the film in the planned locales. Nag asked the director Solomon to check if they can erect sets to complete the climax portions.

Wild Dog may be shot in and around Hyderabad once things settle down. The film will release next year. Nag is not in a hurry to join the sets and he would take the call as per the feedback from the Tollywood’s trial shoots and on the number of coronavirus cases in the coming weeks in Hyderabad. As of now, the team is occupied with the post-production work of Wild Dog. Matinee Entertainments are producing Wild Dog and Nag plays an NIA cop in this action thriller.

It is heard that the film is inspired from the Hyderabad’s twin blasts that took place in Lumbini Park and Gokul Chat. Some crucial episodes are recently canned in Lumbini Park in real locations.

Nagarjuna plays Vijay Varma, an IAS officer who is a specialist in encounters. Dia Mirza and Saiyami Kher are the leading ladies in Wild Dog which is slated for summer release. Niranjan Reddy’s Matinee Entertainments are the producers. Right after this, Nag will start shooting for Bangarraju in the direction of Kalyan Krishna.

The shooting of Nagarjuna and Saiyami Kher-starrer “Wild Dog”, which was scheduled to take place in Thailand, has been cancelled due to the coronavirus epidemic.

Sharing the update, Saiyami said: “I was training in Mixed Martial Arts over the past month for the action sequences, and was looking forward to the long schedule in Thailand. But they have postponed the shoot as they didn’t want to take the risk with such a big crew.”

“Wild Dog”, which is being directed by Solomon, is said to be inspired by true events.

According to reports, Saiyami is playing the role of a RAW agent in the film, and she will be seen performing high octane action sequences.

As per the latest news, Hollywood stunt choreographer David Ismalone who worked for films like Fast and Furious 7 is on board for Wild Dog.

He is currently busy composing the action sequences for this thriller. The details about the female lead and other cast are kept under wraps. The makers are in plans to wrap up the shoot of Wild Dog in quick schedules and release the film during summer 2020. Nagarjuna looks authentic in the first look poster where he along with his team is seen conducting a secret operation. Nagarjuna plays NIA officer ACP Vijay Varma who’s nicknamed Wild Dog for his different way of dealing criminals ruthlessly.

The story is based on true incidents and the poster is reminiscent of the recent Disha encounter. The first schedule of the film is just wrapped up.
