Now, Jagan targetting to cancel Legislative Council?

0

The Jaganmohan Reddy government is not worried though it may not be able to get 3 Capitals bill passed in the AP Legislative Council. The Opposition parties will not cooperate since they have majority in the Council. The TDP MLCs are waiting to reject the Vizag Capital bill. It is already passed in the Assembly but Council approval is also required. The only solution left with Jagan is to cancel the Council and go ahead with Capital shifting. Jagan Circar is now indirectly asking TDP MLCs to cooperate with the government by passing the bill. If they do not cooperate, then the Council will be dissolved altogether. This has led to new fears among the MLCs as adamant Jagan Reddy may resort to any extreme.

Meanwhile, the TDP is expecting a much open debate in the Council because of the opposition majority there. In the Assembly, YCP members went on obstructing Chandrababu Naidu. But in Council, the TDP expects a better opportunity to speak strongly against the bill. Now, the big question is how Jagan Reddy government is going to deal with the Council immediately. Will he put up the bill for debate in the Council? Or will Jagan go for cancellation of the Council straightaway?
The TDP is confident that their MLCs will not be intimidated. They have no doubts that the 3 Capitals bill will be defeated in the Council. The TDP members are prepared to face any eventuality including the cancellation of the Council itself.

AP lost ‘favourite tourist destination’ tag under Jagan rule!

0

After YSRCP government headed by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy came to power in May 2019, the Andhra Pradesh is attracting national and international headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Instead of focusing on development of the state, the Jagan government is busy taking political revenge on former CM N Chandrababu Naidu, shifting of capital from Amaravathi just because it was planned and executed by Chandrababu, reverse tenders for Polarvaram and other projects, just because they were awarded by previous TDP government etc.

Jagan government failed to focus on development of any sector in the state, which has now started showing negative results.

The tourism sector in Andhra Pradesh has started showing downfall after Jagan came to power.

Now, AP is no more a favourite tourist destination for foreign tourists.

According to the official data released by the government, the number of foreign tourists arriving in Andhra Pradesh during the ongoing tourism season has come down by over 14 per cent in 2019 compared to the footfall in 2018. On the other hand, arrival of domestic tourists has increased marginally in the current tourism season.

Officials of Tourism Department said that while 19.5 crore tourists, including 2.81 lakh foreigners, had visited Andhra Pradesh in 2018, the number has touched 22.22 crore visitors, including 2.41 lakh foreign tourists, in 2019.

Though the domestic tourists’ arrival has increased in 2019, the number of foreign tourists arrival decreased by 40,000 when compared to the previous year.

In Andhra Pradesh, after Anantapur, which is known for its pilgrim tourism due to Prasanthi Nilayam, Visakhapatnam is the most preferred destination for foreigners given the presence of breathtaking locales like Araku Valley, Borra Caves, ‘AP Kashmir’ Lammasingi, golden beaches and resplendent hills.

Anantapur attracted 88,316 foreigner and 51.62 lakh domestic visitors in 2019 while Vizag attracted 87,218 foreigners and 2.15 crore domestic visitors.

The data shows that there is an urgent need for Jagan government to create infrastructures such as star hotels in major cities and tourist destinations and provide air and road connectivity. The tourism department has to roll out home-stay facility and provide road-side amenities to draw the attention of the visitors.

There’s a lot of scope for adventure tourism like rappelling, rock-climbing, trekking, paragliding and surfing in many parts of Andhra Pradesh. However, the government has failed to create infrastructure near such spots and also failed to appoint any celebrity as brand ambassador for AP Tourism, said G Srinivas, an activist.

Andhra Pradesh miserably failed in attracting adventure tourists in spite of the huge potential that waits to be tapped. Recent surveys by the Union Ministry of Tourism found that out of the over 22 crore tourists, only two per cent, including over 3,000 foreigners, explored adventure spots in Andhra Pradesh.

Amaravati capital shifting from Ugadi, March 25!

0

The YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh headed by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has speeded up shifting of executive capital from Amaravati to Vizag.

Having introduced the bill in Legislative Assembly today to shift the executive capital from Amaravati to Vizag and the approval to the bill is only a formality considering the brute majority the YSRCP government enjoys in the Assembly, the state government has directed senior officials to devise a ‘road map’ to complete the capital shifting immediately.

Accordingly to highly placed sources, CM Jagan has given his nod to start capital shifting to Vizag from March 25, which concides with Ugadi, the Telugu New Year.

Jagan wants to make a new beginning for new capital in Vizag from AP from the onset of Telugu New Year Ugadi.

The CM has reportedly stipulated a deadline of April 16 to complete the process of capital shifting.

Accordingly, the Information Technology department has been directed to make all the necessary arrangements for providing online connectivity of all departments to start administration from Vizag from April 16.

The shifting of employees will also begin from Amaravati to Vizag from March 25.

Initially, some key departments, officials and staff will be shifted and gradually be extended to other departments in a phased manner.

Why has Jagan cancelled CRDA Act?

0

The Jaganmohan Reddy government has outrightly cancelled the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Act. In its place, the government is forming the Amaravati Metropolitan Region Development Authority (AMRDA). Minister Botsa Satyanarayana says that the AMRDA will develop the plots and hand over them to the farmers as per the previous agreements. Why has Jagan Circar finally cancelled the CRDA?

The YCP Ministers once again told the Assembly that the CRDA was solely aimed at developing a massive real estate venture to benefit Chandrababu Naidu family and his caste people. Very humiliatingly, Minister Kanna Babu redefined the CRDA as the Chandrababu Real Estate Development Agency but not Capital Region Development Authority.

Even the local YCP MLAs and Ministers in Capital districts have supported Jagan move to shift Main Capital out of Amaravati. They have also repeated the real estate allegations against the previous TDP Regime. Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy said that Rs. 750 Cr was being paid to a particular region in Amaravati towards rental charges every year. He pointed out how Naidu misused the CRDA only to give benefits to his caste but not for the local people.

Jagan Cabinet approves 3 Capitals: Vizag Main Capital

0

The Jagan Reddy Cabinet met in Amaravati today and approved the High Power Committee report. The Cabinet gave green signal to shift Executive Capital to Visakhapatnam. Vizag will be Main Capital with Secretariat, CMO, Assembly, High Court bench, etc.

As expected, the Cabinet approved the 3 Capitals decision announced by the CM already for removing regional imbalances in development. It means Vizag will be Principal Capital with both Secretariat and Assembly. Kurnool will be Judicial Capital and Amaravati will be Legislative Capital. Only the short winter session session will be held in Amaravati while the budget session will be held in Visakhapatnam.

The Cabinet also took a decision to form the Amaravati Metropolitan Development Authority in place of the Capital Region Development Authority. Jagan Reddy Government is not cancelling the CRDA Act outright fearing legal problems from the farmers petitions. Amaravati will continue to be Capital in paper. But still, Jagan is making sure that the CRDA is cancelled in order to cripple the farmers who sacrificed their ancestral lands for Capital construction. In all, the Cabinet approved 7 bills Capitals, English medium, etc. Insider trading irregularities during previous regime will be given to Lok Ayukta enquiry.

Jagan relies on his MLAs for 3 capitals bill

0

AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy has shifted his strategy on his Capital shifting mission. In today’s historic Assembly, Jagan wants to rely heavily on his party MLAs to bulldoze his 3 Capitals plan. Accordingly, through very important leaders, Jagan Reddy dictated notes to all the YCP MLAs on taking a single line that is in favour of decentralisation. The MLAs are asked to strictly talk only on the need for balanced development of all regions in the state. The respective MLAs will be speaking in favour of their own regions development more. With this, clarity has emerged over the still unchanged decision of Jagan Reddy on 3 Capitals.

Jagan is forced to rely more on MLAs debates because of the loss of credibility to reports of IIT-Madras, GN Rao Committee, Boston Group and High Power Committee. The Hindu paper has also accepted that its reporters have not cross-checked with the IIT-Madras report about unsuitability of Amaravati Capital. All the reports of the three committees just reproduced the statements made in the Assembly by Jaganmohan Reddy in the Assembly much before.

Now, Jagan Reddy’s sole aim is to divert the attention of AP Assembly debate from Amaravati weaknesses and strengths to the need for development of all regions. The game is almost over. As usual, Jagan will bulldoze Chandrababu Naidu even on this historic bill.

Jagan no chance to tell Modi-Shah: Capital shifting

0

In a very crucial time, the Modi-Shah are not giving even a single chance to AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy to meet them. So, it is unavoidable for Jagan Reddy to go ahead with his Capital shifting without telling Indian PM and Home Minister. In a federal set-up, it would not be advisable for a state government to make such historic decisions without informing the Centre. For several weeks now, CM Jagan has been trying hard to meet Modi-Shah personally to secure their blessings for his government’s programmes. But there is no appointment till now. In the past two days, AP CMO tried for Amit Shah appointment again but there has been no positive response from the Union Home Minister’s Office.

The Modi-Shah duo are obviously giving an impression that their government has no role to play in the Jagan Reddy’s 3 Capitals plan. Moreover, the BJP AP unit is strongly opposing the young CM’s mission to cripple Amaravati Capital. Also, the Modi Circar is already unhappy over Jagan’s shock treatments to solar power companies and to Polaravam project authority.

Political circles say that the BJP is playing double game in AP. The Modi government remains a silent spectator. Leaders in BJP AP unit support Amaravati Capital City. But at the same time, they are trying to take political advantage out of Capital crisis. Doubts are arising whether Modi Circar will really stop Jagan from shifting Capital.

AP Cabinet postponed again: Capital confusion

0

Ahead of historic Capital shifting, the Jaganmohan Reddy government is changing its decisions on key issues very frequently. Now, the latest decision is to postpone the crucial Cabinet meet from January 18 to 20. Once again, the Ministers were informed about the latest change. So, it will be Jan 20 when the Cabinet will approve the High Power Committee report. After a few hours the same day, the 3 Capitals decision will be taken up for debate in the AP Assembly. Because of court orders and CBI cases, CM Jagan was in a dilemma to hold Cabinet on January 18 or 20. The fast-paced political developments are forcing AP CM to be very cautious like never before.

Political circles are speculating that Jagan Reddy and his legal advisors are taking all steps to avoid any intervention of the High Court in Amaravati Capital issue in the name of farmers’ petitions. So, on paper, the government will not be saying that it is shifting Executive Capital out of Amaravati. The debate in the Assembly will also be on decentralised development rather than formation of 3 Capitals specifically. The indications are that the crippling of Amaravati will take place in a secretive manner by shifting major departments one by one to Visakhapatnam. This way, the court will not be able to directly interfere. At the same time, a silent burial can be given to Amaravati global city project. If farmers suffer, let them suffer for foolishly trusting previous government.

KTR ridicules Jagan, Pawan!

0

TRS working president and IT minister KT Rama Rao ridiculed AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena chief, actor Pawan Kalyan.

In a formal chitchat with media on Friday at Telangana Bhavan, KTR opined that Jagan failed in convincing the people of Andhra Pradesh on his proposal to create three capital cities for AP and shifting executive capital from Amaravathi to Vizag.

KTR asked Jagan to learn from KCR how he convinced people of Telangana while creating 33 new districts in Telangana out of old 10 districts and not a single protest or agitation was held or heard against KCR’s decision to decentralise administration in Telangana.

“Jagan should think why there are widespread agitations against his moves to decentralise administration in AP,” KTR said.

KTR also took a dig at Pawan Kalyan for entering into alliance with BJP.

“Pawan can enter into any national or international alliance with any party. This is a democracy. We are not bothered. Pawan can expand his party in Kashmir or even to any other international city. Who cares?” KTR said.

Gujarat cadre IPS officer appointed as CBI JD…Is BJP fixing Jagan?

0

In a sudden development, the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre on Friday appointed a Gujarat-based IPS officer as joint director of CBI. The move assumes significance in the backdrop of CBI adopting a tough stand against AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy in disproportionate case, quid pro quo cases booked against Jagan by the CBI and Enforcement Directorate.

The union home ministry issued orders appointing Manoj Shashidhar, a 1994-batch IPS officer of Gujarat cadre as new JD of CBI.

Interestingly, YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy had last week written to union home minister Amit Shah to appoint someone as CBI JD who is from non–Telugu State cadre alleging that the past CBI JD Laxminarayana and other JDs appointed later have ‘secret friendship’ with TDP and they tried to fix Jagan in CBI cases on ‘political grounds’.

Amit Shah responded positively to Vijaysai’s request and directed officials to appoint a new JD from non-Telugu states cadre.

However, the appointment of Manoj Shashidhar, a Gujarat based IPS officer raised many a eyebrows.

Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah hail from Gujarat, Manoj Shashidhar has close links with both of them. He worked under Modi and Shah, when they were ruling Gujarat.

YSRCP leaders now fear that Manoj Shashidhar will do whatever ordered by Modi and Amit Shah.

At a time when CBI is acting tough against Jagan now, they fear that Shashidhar will only fix Jagan further in CBI cases and send him to jail again.

CBI Court dismisses Jagan petitions, must appear next Friday

0

In its sensational orders, the Hyderabad CBI Special Court dismissed AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s petition to take up hearing in 5 of his 11 multi-crore illegal assets cases jointly. This is considered a big blow to the CM. The crucial order was issued by the Court which was angry against Jagan Reddy for not personally appearing before the court today despite repeated warnings. Now, with his petitions dismissed, Jagan would have no alternative any more but to himself appear before the CBI Special Court without fail next Friday ie Jan 24.

Another petition filed by Jagan for not holding court trials on ED cases simultaneously with the CBI cases. The ED cases hearings will begin on Jan 24 itself. Jagan Reddy has not been given exemption from personal appearance before the court in ED cases also. So, it’s going to be a very tough time for AP CM from next week. The 11 CBI cases will be taken up for hearings separately which will be a prolonged and protracted thing.

Amid this, the AP CMO has once again contacted the Amit Shah Office in Delhi for an appointment for Jagan Reddy tomorrow. Political circles are doubtful whether Amit Shah would risk giving appointment because of controversy over Jagan court cases and also his arbitrary decision against Amaravati Capital.

Can Jagan kill multiple sentiments for Amaravati?

0

When Andhra area was separated from Tamil Nadu, Vijayawada was first proposed as the centrally located Capital City. But the then Reddy leaders convinced their Congress High Command to make Kurnool as Capital because Communists (mostly Kammas) were dominant in Vijayawada area. For obvious reasons, no strong sentiment or agitation came up at that time in favour of Vijayawada. But now, multiple sentiments are coming up around Amaravati Capital. The very name carries lot of geopolitical significance for centuries. It was Capital City for different kingdoms in history and strategically located on the Krishna river. Amaravati has got devotional sentiment with pilgrims coming from far off places. Its spiritual significance is well known for Andhra Telugus. The place is revered by both the Hindus and the Buddhists. Moreover, Amaravati acted as a cultural centre for the people of the region especially the Krishna and Guntur districts.

Obviously, the JAC and opposition leaders are banking on this rising Amaravati sentiment to go ahead with their anti-Capital shifting agitation. This is rallying together all opposition parties including the ruling BJP at the Centre. The Hindu religious organisations and sadhus are also joining the Amaravati agitation. Will it be easy for CM Jagan to erase Amaravati Capital from the map? Things look tougher with each passing day going by massive support to Amaravati JAC from all sides.

Sujana Chowdary writes 10-page letter to Jagan against AP capital shifting!

0

BJP Rajya Sabha member Sujana Chowdary has written a long 10-page open letter to AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy against his proposal to shift executive capital from Amaravati to Vizag.

He reminded Jagan that all political parties, including the YSRCP, had earlier unanimously agreed to have the state capital at Amaravati in 2014.

Sujana said that works worth over Rs 42 crore have been suspended by Jagan in Amaravati soon after he became CM without citing any reason.

Sujana stated that the contradictory statements being made by ministers that the government is searching for suitable buildings in Visakhapatnam and and also on the “Save Amaravathi” agitation in the capital development region by farmers were painful

He warned Jagan that the relocation of the state capital will have adverse impact both financially and legally.

He requested CM to reconsider the decision to relocate the state capital to elsewhere keeping in mind the larger interests of the state

Sujana questioned how can the government render 88 per cent of the lands for the fault of insider trading taking place in 12 per cent of the lands.

Sujana faulted the argument being put forth by Jagan that it will cost the government over Rs 1 lakh to build the state capital at Amaravati terming it as “far from truth”.

He reiterated that the three state capitals for AP was not feasible

Moreover, relocation of the state capital will make the government to pay hefty compensation of Rs 1,89,117 crore to various firms, contractors and individuals.

He advised Jagan to rise above petty politics and requested him to take decisions keeping in mind the benefit of the state and the people.

Sujana finally appealed Jagan to continue the state capital in Amaravati keeping in mind the larger interests of the state and AP people.

What did Jagan, KCR discuss ‘secretly’ 2 hours in 6-hour meeting!

0

The meeting between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao concluded in Pragathi Bhavan today after six hours.

The meeting between KCR and Jagan raised many a eyebrows as it was held for over six hours without the presence of any ministers or officials from both the states.

In these six hours, KCR and Jagan had one-to-one meeting for two hours.

Both the leaders were closeted inside a room in the Pragathi Bhavan for two hours while others waited outside.

Jagan was accompanied by Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy and Lok Sabha member Mithun Reddy.

Both the YSRCP MPs were asked to stay outside when KCR and Jagan held one-to-one meeting.

KCR’s son KTR was also asked to wait outside along with YSRCP MPs.

This led to speculations over what transpired between KCR and Jagan for two hours.

TRS party sources said KCR and Jagan discussed mainly about shifting of AP executive capital from Amaravathi to Vizag .

KCR reportedly supported Jagan on shifting Amaravathi capital as any development of Amaravathi will only bring good name to Chandrababu Naidu and not Jagan and shifting of Amaravathi capital will erase the memories of Naidu from the people.

They also discussed on how to deal with BJP-led NDA government at the Centre as both PM Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah were cooperating with the Telugu States despite YSRCP and TRS adopting ‘friendly ties’ with the BJP.

They also discussed on what stand they should take on the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act, National Population Register and National Register of Citizens being planned by NDA government.

Jagan-KCR meeting confirmed at noon tomorrow!

0

AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy will meet his Telangana counterpart K Chandraskhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan on Monday.

The meeting is expected to take place at 2 pm.

Jagan arrived in Hyderabad on Saturday and staying at his Lotus Pond residence in Banjara Hills.

After becoming Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in May 2019, Jagan visited his Lotus Pond residence very rarely.

Even when he visited his house on few occasions, he stayed only for few hours and left for Vijayawada.

But this time, Jagan is spending three days in Lotus Pond residence after a long time.

After the meeting with KCR, Jagan is expected to go to Vijayawada on Tuesday and celebrate Sankranthi.

Besides bifurcation issues, both Jagan and KCR are expected to discuss on the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act, National Population Register, National Register of Citizens planned by the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.

The CMs are expected to take a stand on whether to support or oppose CAA, NPR, NRC.

They are also expected to discuss river water sharing, especially diversion of Godavari water to Krishna Basin and other contentious issues between the Telugu States.

Lakhs of crores investments: Amaravati potential

0

In just four years, the Amaravati Capital City project has created an unimaginably huge commercial value for lands in a radius of nearly 40 to 50 sq kms. At that time, the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) allotted 1,293 acres to 130 private and government institutions. They are investing Rs. 44,300 Cr to construct their buildings and begin their operations. They are creating jobs for 50,000 people there. Already, SRM and VIT have constructed their own huge buildings. So much economic potential is generated in just over 1,000 acres. Then, one can imagine the lakhs of crores investments that would come once Amaravati is completed. There would be much greater potential for over 10,000 acres of government lands also.

The more difficult issue here is how the Jaganmohan Reddy government will solve the problems of these 130 institutions. If the Capital is shifted, their lands will not be developed with basic facilities like roads. There would not be suitable commercial value for their properties. SRM and VIT would have to become ghost institutions with huge campuses in the midst of unpopulated, waste lands. Who will compensate for their future losses? YCP Ministers would have to give answers for this. It would be easy to say that not a brick is laid and Amaravati is developed as a real estate venture for a caste. But it would surely be very difficult to shift a Capital City without caring for the people’s feelings.

No progress in Jagan CBI court cases: 8 years over

0

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed its first charge sheet in CBI Special Court against CM Jaganmohan Reddy in 2012. Subsequently, nearly 11 CBI cases were registered against Jagan Reddy on charges of amassing Rs. 43,000 Cr illegal assets. Eight years are over since the first case was filed. But there is no progress in the CBI court proceedings. The CBI advocates are now expressing concern over this inordinate delay. However, they are becoming helpless. Jagan Reddy and his lawyers are successfully wasting the court time by filing petition after petition on non-serious matters. Even in Yesterday’s court hearing, Jagan filed a fresh petition requesting the court to permit his Co-Accused Vijayasai Reddy to attend the court on behalf of him. Only a few weeks ago, the Court rejected a similar petition of Jagan for exemption from personal appearance. Jagan’s fresh plea is that he is now busy with public issues as CM. Interestingly, Vijayasai is also an MP and Special Representative of AP Government in Delhi.

Thus every time, Jagan illegal assets cases are coming up before the court, some new petition is being filed by Jagan lawyers. For unknown reasons, the CBI court hearing of CM cases was held in-camera yesterday. Much of what happened inside was not known to the outside world. Now, the CBI advocates are expressing greater concern on lack of progress in Jagan cases. How many more years it will take for the court to hear all these cases of serious financial frauds against Jagan?

Naga Babu reminds Jagan of Hitler’s tragic end

0

Mega middle brother Naga Babu frequently meddlesome comments on current political scene in AP. Last time, he blamed both Chandrababu and Jagan Reddy for current Capital City crisis. Now, Naga Babu spared TDP boss but gave a valuable piece of advice to CM Jaganmohan Reddy. He advised Jagan not to target to cripple one particular caste. Such an activity would only backfire on the CM. Naga Babu reminded Jagan Reddy of how German Dictator Hitler massacred Jews in World War II. But, eventually, Hitler could never terminate the Jewish race. On the other hand, the same Jewish race became responsible for the American bombings on Japan. It led to defeat of Germany and to eventual tragic end of Hitler. Jewish scientist Albert Einstein played a crucial role in the making of the bomb in America during World War II.

Naga Babu told Jagan not to do such mistake. It is not appropriate for a ruler to selectively attack one particular caste or community. Even now, the AP CM can take back his proposal and save Amaravati farmers from the needless agony. It is by now clear that the government would not be able to return the Amaravati lands to farmers in good cultivable condition. Jagan is blindly going ahead with Capital shifting without considering the feelings of local people in Guntur and Krishna and Rayalaseema districts. Naga Babu said that the farmers’ agitation and women’s sacrifices are an inspiration to all Andhra people.

CM Jagan appears before CBI Court: Rs 43,000-Cr illegal assets

0

For the first time, YS Jaganmohan Reddy appeared before the CBI Special Court in his capacity as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Till now, Jagan successfully avoided attending the court on some pretext or the other ever since becoming Chief Minister with brute majority. Jagan mother YS Vijayamma, his sister Sharmila, his party Number 2 leader Vijayasai Reddy, Konda Surekha family and others also appeared before the court. The AP CM is the Accused No 1 in the Rs 43,000-cr CBI illegal assets cases.

Interestingly, the CBI didn’t object to exemption from personal appearance for Jagan in the first four months of his rule. But things turned bad after Jagan Reddy embarrassed the Modi government internationally by cancelling the PPAs of global Sola Power Companies. Jagan Reddy also ignored the Central Government’s advice with regard to the multi-crore Polavaram project.

Jagan left Amaravati by a special aircraft and reached the Begumpet air port. From there, he went straight to the Nampally CBI Court. Jagan has been involved in over 11 CBI cases. In all these cases, the actual trial has not begun till now. The national media and Telugu media gave lot of focus on Jagan appearing before court for the first as CM. The police restricted media at CBI Court.

2 agitations in North Andhra: Vizag Capital

0

The North Andhra YCP leaders are fixed that Vizag is the new AP Capital. But, to their utter dismay, the anti-Vizag Capital agitation is reaching a peak in all other parts of the state. The Amaravati JAC is beginning anti-Capital shifting agitation even in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts. The TDP, Jana Sena and BJP leaders are convinced that even Vizag people are unhappy over 3 Capitals. They are openly saying that the Pulivendula YSR loyalists mafia would loot and grab lands and properties in North Andhra. The average people in Vizag are not socio-politically strong like the people in Guntur and Krishna districts to counter Kadapa gangs.

There are new doubts whether CM Jagan Reddy could be able to shift Capital in the face of all-round opposition and his own Rs 43,000 Cr CBI cases. As a last resort, North Andhra YCP leaders are now threatening to launch a pro-Vizag Capital agitation. Their conviction is that the people are fixed that their region got a golden opportunity. They are not ready to lose this ‘One Chance’ that Jagan Reddy has given them. Speaker Tammineni Sitaram and Minister Avanti Srinivas are provoking regional feelings to discredit TDP in their region. But, the TDP leaders are boldly saying that their anti-Vizag Capital agitation will be continued in Vizag itself. No doubt, utter confusion of multiple agitations is sweeping North Andhra people ahead of local body elections.
