Mohan Babu could meet Modi but not Jagan

It is several months now that Modi-Shah have stopped giving appointments to AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy. The BJP top leaders are ignoring even Jagan’s Number 2 leader Vijayasai Reddy also. A few weeks ago, Jagan Reddy in his capacity as Chief Minister went all the way to Delhi and waited for hours together. But Modi and Amit Shah did not meet him. Prior to the elections, it was totally different. At that time, Modi-Shah doors were always open for Jagan Reddy, Vijayasai Reddy, Mekapati Reddy and all YCP MPs. But these days, Modi-Shah are encouraging mostly non-Reddy and non-YSR family loyalists from Andhra Pradesh. It is already known how they gave lot of importance to YCP non-Reddy MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju. Now, Modi has spent nearly an hour with YCP leader and actor Mohan Babu’s family and took photos with them.

It has spread at the national level also that Jagan Reddy has targetted one particular caste in AP. Mohan Babu belongs to this particular community. He has badly embarrassed Chandrababu in last elections by holding street protests on fee reimbursement. Now, Mohan Babu is apparently unhappy that he has not received enough importance in YCP. It is well known that Mohan Babu expects more and more in return for his support to anybody. His meeting with Modi came as a big surprise to even YCP Ministers and MLAs. All this is fuelling fears as to what Modi-Shah are going to do to counter Jagan Reddy in the coming future.

Which home is YS Jagan’s final destiny home?

YSR son YS Jaganmohan Reddy might have had multiple homes and palaces all over South India but he never had an enough, homely stay anywhere till now. Once again, his family is all set to shift their home. Maybe, this easiness mentality in shifting homes has played its own tragic role behind CM’s Capital shifting decision altogether. He doesn’t care that it involves hundreds and thousands of employees to move along with their families to the next Capital City. Jagan’s story reads like a nomad who never makes a permanent nest anywhere.

It all began when his father YSR became AP CM during which time Jagan got a big palace in Bangalore city. He used to stay there to do business. But after YSR death, Jagan shifted to Hyderabad. He built another palace in controversial Lotus Pond land. But then, AP was divided and he could not win power in 2014. As Opposition leader, Jagan spent most of the time away from Lotus Pond for conducting his huge Padayatra. Prior to 2019 election, Jagan built another palace in Tadepalli in Amaravati and gave an impression it would be his permanent home. He mocked at Naidu for not building his own home in Amaravati. Jagan party won both the two Capital city assembly segments. But now, Jagan is shifting to Vizag where he is building another palace on beach front while Naidu is still considering his Hyderabad home a permanent residence. Seeing YSR son’s track record, rivals are saying that gods might have chosen jail as final destiny home for Jagan Reddy considering his Rs 43,000 CBI illegal assets cases.

Jagan has no power to shift Capital: Kanna

0

BJP AP President Kanna Laxminarayana once again strongly countered the Jagan Reddy government’s move to create 3 Capitals in the name of reports of different committees. Kanna made it clear that Jagan Reddy has no authority whatsoever to shift Capital from Amaravati. It is because of the tough political and constitutional processes required. He pointed out that the previous Chandrababu Naidu government took Capital location decision through the due process of achieving political consensus inside and outside the legislature. Jagan himself approved Amaravati Capital Project.

Kanna asked how AP CM can now unilaterally decide to reverse the previous Capital City decision. It should not be forgotten that all political parties had
given their approval for the centrally located Amaravati. He clarified that the BJP would do everything in its powers to stop the Capital shifting. Kanna said that the Central Government has no role to play in the decision making process regarding Capital City in a particular state. But this doesn’t mean that a state government can take any decision it wants. Kanna said that as a political party, the BJP would do what it has to do to resolve the AP Capital crisis. Nobody can reverse the significant Amaravati City decisions without having consent from all political parties. As this argument is rising, Jagan is proposing to hold an all-party meeting. There are doubts whether it would be conducted in a transparent manner or not. The BJP AP leaders are however totally confident that Jagan Circar’s master plan to shift Capital would end up in a disaster eventually.

Can Jagan do justice to Amaravati farmers?

0

Right now, the anti-Capital shifting agitation is limited to the farmers in 29 villages who sacrificed their lands for Amaravati Capital construction. The farmers, agricultural workers and their families all are protesting on the streets for continuation of their Capital there. But there are no big protests outside Amaravati even in the twin Capital districts of Guntur and Krishna. Even Vijayawada, which is a politically sensitive town in entire state, is more or less silent going by its agitational track record.

The entire focus is now on Amaravati farmers. The ruling YCP Ministers and MLAs are saying that justice would be done to these farmers. Their plots would be fully developed as per the agreements reached with them under global city project. Can the ruling party Ministers be trusted? Is it possible to do justice to farmers at this stage? Farmers’ leaders say that concrete buildings and roads came up in their lands already. Jagan Reddy has not even any plan before him to resolve the tricky issue of returning plots to farmers. Amid this, leaders of other regions are demanding Jagan now to do justice to farmers before risking Capital shifting to Visakhapatnam. Ex Mp TG Venkatesh says that they would not like Amaravati farmers to suffer in any manner. Ex MLA Vishnukumar Raju asks YCP Circar how Vizagites can be happy with Capital when thousands of farmers lose their livelihoods in Amaravati. It is posing a bigger challenge for YCP to do justice to farmers.

Jagan continues sops spree in New Year

0

The sops spree continues in Andhra Pradesh in the New Year as Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy rolled out a slew of welfare measures.

After announcing several programmes during last seven months to implement his poll promises, Jagan Mohan Reddy launched more schemes as New Year gift to people.

The new schemes bring cheers to people ahead of ‘Sankranti’, a major festival even as state capital Amaravati continues to simmer over the ongoing protest by farmers against his three-capital proposal.

Leaders across political spectrum and people in north coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions have hailed proposal to develop Visakhapatnam and Kurnool as two other state capitals while the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government announced new sops to win more sections.

The New Year brought cheers for the employees of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) as the transport entity was merged with the government.

Implementing the poll promise, Jagan merged RTC with the government, thus recognising its over 51,000 employees as the government employees.

Fulfilling a major poll promise, Jagan government on January 4 issued an order for implementing of ‘Jagananna Amma Vodi’ scheme under which all the mothers or the guardians sending their children to school will get Rs 15,000 financial assistance every year.

The YSRCP government hopes this scheme, to be launched on January 9, will increase the number of school-going students in the state, enhance the quality of education and provide education for all.

The financial assistance of Rs 15,000 would be directly deposited in the beneficiaries savings bank accounts of the mothers or the guardian in January every year till the child completes class 12.

The scheme applicable to mothers from below poverty line will be implemented in all the government, private aided, private unaided schools and junior colleges.

The government order for ‘Amma Vodi’ was released on January 4, a day after Jagan launched Arogyasri pilot project at Eluru in West Godavari district.

The new government has brought revolutionary changes in the Arogyasri aimed at providing free healthcare to poor in private corporate hospitals.

The scheme has been extended to cover 2,059 diseases, which was earlier limited to 1,059 diseases and it would be applicable to all medical bills which exceed Rs 1,000.

As promised during elections, the scheme would be applicable to all families whose annual income is below Rs 5 lakhs. A total of 1.42 crore cards would be issued and all of them would have QR code containing all the details of the scheme, officials said.

Village secretariats have been entrusted with the responsibility of issuing the cards.

Over 150 super-speciality hospitals in Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru have been brought under the purview of the scheme from November 1 last year and financial assistance is being provided since December 2.

YSRCP, which came to power in May last year with a landslide majority, announced a series of sops for various sections of the society despite the financial crunch.

It is estimated that the schemes announced by the Jagan government require an additional Rs 40,000 crore annually.

The major programmes announced last year included appointment of village secretariats to ensure transparency and effective implementation of schemes. The village secretariat system created 1.40 lakh jobs.

According to Agriculture Minister K. Kanna Babu the government has implemented about 80 per cent of the promises made in the manifesto. “The decisions taken by our government are a role model for the entire country,” he said.

YSR Rythu Bharosa for financial assistance to farmers, interest-free loans, free insurance for farmers, free borewell and free power supply to farmlands are among the schemes announced for farmers.

Jagan to become Andhra Sasikala? BJP chance

0

The Modi-Shah duo never miss an opportunity to crush non-BJP regional leaders like Sasikala in Tamil Nadu. Taking advantage of AIADMK crisis, the BJP made sure that she was put behind the bars and financially weakened. Now, the question doing rounds in AP political circles is whether the BJP would use this Tamil Nadu strategy in AP soon. ABN Managing Director Radha Krishna says that there surely is a big scope for Modi-Shah operation because of the deepening financial and Capital shifting crisis. In his Kothapaluku columns, RK says that there is every chance that the BJP may use all its pressure tactics against YCP MLAs to reject Jagan leadership permanently. The CBI cases will be effectively used to immobilise AP CM.

As of now, the ruling YCP MLAs across the state are not openly speaking against CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s mission to shift Capital to Visakhapatnam. But, the BJP AP leaders have information that not all these MLAs are happy with Jagan Reddy’s decisions. YCP MLAs in Amaravati and Rayalaseema regions are mostly impatient with Capital shifting. Most of them are even silently hoping and expecting the Centre to stop 3 Capitals. Considering emerging political situation, Jagan Reddy may get stuck badly in Amaravati crisis which is threatening to disturb the entire state. Obviously, Modi-Shah will definitely turn it to their advantage. Already, Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan and Amaravati farmers are urging for Centre’s action against Jagan.

Non-BJP CMs avoid KCR, befriend with Jagan

0

The BJP-led NDA government’s moves on the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR) has led to severe protests across the country.

Chief Ministers of several non-BJP ruled states strongly opposed CAA, NRC and NPR and openly declared that they will not implement them in their respective states.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan went a step ahead and written letters to CMs of non-BJP ruled states seeking their support to fight against Centre’s moves on CAA, NRC and NPR.

Surprisingly, both these CMs have written letters to AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy but ignored Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Though KCR is also heading a non-BJP government in Telangana like Jagan’s YSRCP government in AP, both Mamata and Vijayan did not write letter to KCR seeking his support.

This led to speculations in political circles that non-BJP CMs still consider KCR as a ‘secret friend’ of BJP and for that reason they avoided him.

Jagan on the other hand openly declared that his government will not implement NRC in AP though his party supported CAA in the Parliament.

KCR opposed CAA and TRS voted against CAA in the Parliament but still KCR was ignored by non-BJP CMs.

The reason being cited is though KCR opposed CAA in the Parliament, he is still keeping silence on NRC and NPR, which led to suspicion among non-BJP CMs that KCR was secretly supporting Centre.

This led to political speculations that non-BJP CMs consider KCR as a BJP CM and Jagan as non-BJP CM.

Jagan, Vijayasai ordered to appear before CBI Court

0

The CBI Special Court expressed its disappointment at the continued violation of the court orders regarding personal appearance of AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his Co-accused Number 2 Vijayasai Reddy. Both the accused did not appear before the court hearing today also. It may be recalled that Jagan Reddy has appeared before the court prior to the election. But after becoming CM, Jagan Reddy has been avoiding personally appearing before the court on some pretext or the other. Today also, CM visited West Godavari district to address an official public meeting there.

When Jagan lawyers told the court about the prior engagements of CM Jagan, the judges took strong objection. They asked how long Jagan goes on evading court appearances in such massive illegal assets cases. Many top people are attending court hearings in different cases in the country but here something is wrong with Jagan Reddy. The court frankly told the Jagan advocates not to resort to the contempt of the court next time. The judges ordered Number 1 Jagan Reddy and Number 2 Vijayasai Reddy to compulsorily appear before the court hearing on January 10. The court clarified that there would be no question of giving exemption from personal appearance for Jagan Reddy any more.

Want good of all, says Jagan amid Amaravati protests

0

As protests by Amaravati farmers intensified over the proposal for three capitals for Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday said that the rationale behind every decision is the welfare of all.

He said that the government takes decisions for the good of all sections of people and all regions of the state.

Jagan, as the Chief Minister is popularly known, was speaking at Eluru in West Godavari district after launch of Arogyasri, a healthcare scheme.

“From village to state administration, all are equal. Fruits of development and governance should reach all sections of people. We will correct the wrong decisions made in the past,” he said.

Jagan said he would use his position of the chief minister to make sure that people live in harmony and fruits of development reach all.

His remarks came amid continuing protests by farmers in Amaravati over the three capital proposal. Farmers, who gave 33,000 acres of land for development of Amaravati as the state capital in 2015, are demanding that the capital be retained in Amaravati.

Jagan has mooted the idea of developing Visakhapatnam as administrative capital and Kurnool as judicial capital. According to this proposal, only Assembly and Raj Bhavan will function in Amaravati.

Experts committee constituted by the state government has also made the same recommendation for decentralised development.

The government earlier this week set up a 16-member high-power committee to analyse the report of experts’ panel and take a final decision.

The farmers, who have been protesting for more than two weeks, say that shifting Secretariat and Chief Minister’s office to Visakhapatnam and High Court to Kurnool will spell doom for them.

Amaravati was the brainchild of Jagan’s predecessor N. Chandrababu Naidu, who had plans to build it as a world-class city.

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), which came to power in May last year, alleged that the previous Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government resorted to insider trading and that it wanted to develop capital at Amaravati to benefit people of Kamma community, from which Naidu comes.

The TDP chief, however, has rubbished the allegations.

Jagan indicates Capital shifting: Reverse justice

0

Once again, AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy gave clear indications of his government’s decision to shift AP Capital City to Visakhapatnam. Speaking at an official meeting in West Godavari district, Jagan Reddy said that the wrong decisions of the previous TDP Regime would be corrected. Jagan clarified that the injustice done to the remote areas in the state would be reversed. He thanked the AP voters for giving all their blessings to do justice and improve the living conditions of all regions uniformly.

Jagan’s vague but clear signals in favour of Vizagites triggered massive protests from rival parties and Amaravati farmers. Right from the morning, YCP MLAs began talking about Naidu’s biased development in Krishna and Guntur districts. YCP MLAs said that in Amaravati, the land rates went up from Rs 25 lakh to Rs. 3 Cr per acre. Now, this should be reversed. Development should be brought in other regions as well.

Opposition leaders again accused Jagan Reddy of leaking report of Boston Consultants Group even before the report is submitted to the government.

Has Jagan given verbal orders for Capital shifting?

0

Official circles in Andhra Pradesh are in a state of confusion and shock over the growing indications of Capital shifting in the past few days. Already, the heads of departments are getting unwritten orders from higher-ups to start preparations for shifting their offices to Visakhapatnam. The rumour is that CM Jaganmohan Reddy has given verbal orders to the top bureaucrats to get ready for shifting important administrative offices. The most important departments like revenue, municipal administration, panchayat raj, etc should be shifted as early as possible. CMO Special Secretary and other officials are visiting various locations in Vizag to identify space for government offices there.

There are reports that Jagan Reddy has selected Millennium Tower in Vizag for the Secretariat location initially. Interestingly, this tower was also built during the Chandrababu Naidu regime. It was constructed at a cost of Rs. 150 cr with an office space of over 2 lakh sft. Some other buildings readily available are being identified for different offices. Official circles say that Jagan Reddy wants to make sure that the entire seat of administration start functioning from Vizag by the next Dasara festial this year. This has given indications that YSR son is going to ignore even the intervention of Modi-Shah. BJP leaders say that their party would react when Jagan Circar takes a final decision on Capital shifting. Amaravati crisis is getting deeper with each passing day.

BCG to submit report on AP capital issue to Jagan tomorrow!

0

The much-awaited report on Andhra Pradesh capital issue by the Boston Consultancy Group (BCG) will be submitted to Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday.

Based on the BCG report, Jagan is expected to take a decision on shifting of capital city from Amaravathi to Vizag and setting up of three capitals for AP.

Jagan is expected to convene cabinet meeting on January 8 to discuss on BCG report and take a decision on how to go forward on AP capital issue.

The CM is also expected to convene an all party meeting to discuss on BCG report before taking a final decision on AP capital issue.

After Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy hinted at the formation of three Capitals in the State by making a statement in Legislative Assembly last month, the GN Rao Committee submitted its report on Comprehensive Development Strategy for the entire State including the Capital of AP.

Following this, the government held various deliberations and decided to constitute a High-Power Committee to examine the recommendations of the GN Rao Committee on the concept of decentralised development and work out a strategy on the way forward keeping in view the various provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act.

Apart from the GN Rao Committee and BCG reports, the High-Power Committee may seek the advice of the advocate-general in regard to further course of action for compliance.

It will finalise the strategy and give its recommendations within three weeks.

The cabinet is expected to refer the BCG report to the High Power Committee on AP capital headed by finance minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy.

Jagan will take final decision on shifting of Amaravathi capital based on the recommendations of Buggana committee.

Andhra CM asks anti-graft body to improve performance

0

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday directed the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to improve its performance to check corruption in government departments.

He suggested the ACB officials not to take leave and ensure effective results within three months.

At a review meeting here, the Chief Minister expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of the anti-graft body and directed the officials to ensure that no one falls prey to bribery.

Jagan, as the Chief Minister is popularly known, said ACB officials should not be lethargic and need to be more involved and dedicated.

He said the establishment of call centre 14400 was to see effective results in checking corruption and there should be fear among those who try to indulge in corruption.

Jagan said there should be no instances of bribery in all government offices, especially in Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) offices, registration offices and town planning office.

He said that the government was ready to provide all necessary facilities to ACB.

Chief Secretary Neelam Sawhney, Director General of Police Gautam Sawang and ACB chief Vishwajit were among those present at the review meeting.

Jagan Special Agri Zone cripples Amaravati farmers?

1

Farmers in the 29 villages of Amaravati core capital area are agitating for Capital continuation for the protection of value of their plots and properties. To convince them, the Jagan Reddy government is cleverly proposing a Special Agricultural Zone (SAZ) in the 33,000 acres taken under land-pooling. Will SAZ benefit Capital farmers? The SAZ zone provides special facilities like 24-hour power supply, soil testing labs, subsidised farm equipment, cold storages, marketing chains, agronomy training, etc. Will all these create the expected value for Amaravati farmers’ properties? No way. But Jagan Circar says that it will develop plots as per the Capital design and hand them over to farmers. These plots will get value only if Amaravati is Capital. But if Capital is shifted and Amaravati is converted into an SAZ, these plots will be of no value and no use even for cultivation.

Very humiliatingly, the Jagan Regime is considering to use Amaravati Capital buildings for SAZ farmers’ common activities. Is this all viable? SAZ needs no multiple buildings for administering its activities. The maintenance of these buildings will become an additional burden on Capital farmers eventually. There are new fears whether CM Jagan is playing a cruel joke to reduce Amaravati farmers to paupers in the name of SAZ. Interestingly, there is not a single SAZ anywhere in the country that has brought huge prosperity for its farmers. Strangely, SAZ concept first began in migration-dependent Kerala and later taken up in Uttarakhand hill state in order to prevent local farmers from leaving non-remunerative cultivation.

Jagan targets Opposition status, not special status

0

The 2019 election campaign slogan of YS Jaganmohan Reddy was to make the Central government bow down and give Special Status to Andhra Pradesh. But now, seven months after coming to power, Jagan Reddy’s main slogan is to make Chandrababu Naidu lose his Opposition leader status in AP Assembly. To make sure that Naidu should be like an average MLA without any privileges or powers. So that, serious cases can be filed to put TDP boss in jail. This mission has become more important than ever. Otherwise, Naidu may go on exposing illegalities, atrocities, demolitions, cancellations and destructions going on in the state. With Capital shifting spiralling out of control, Jagan Reddy is increasing his efforts to remove Opposition status to TDP.

It was towards this purpose only that Guntur West MLA Maddali Giridhar was silenced by threatening to file cases and then offering to financially help him. Very few TDP leaders are able to withstand the pressure and intimidation tactics being used by Jagan Circar. Political circles say that in the next few weeks, there are ample chances that Jagan may succeed in stripping Naidu of his opposition leader status. Will the opposition parties be able to carry forward their agitations effectively? Analysts say that already, Jagan Reddy is not giving any respect to the main Opposition party TDP. This game is all but another diversionary tactic by YCP leaders to silence their critics.

Jagan turns ‘houses for all’ to ‘houses for few’!

As Leader of Opposition and YSRCP chief, YS Jaganmohan Reddy had promised ‘houses for all’ during elections.

After winning elections and becoming CM of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan has now turned this promise as ‘houses for few’.

When CM Jagan asked all homeless in AP to apply for house sites for construction of houses, a staggering 80 lakh applications were received by the government.

Shocked Jagan directed officials to filter these applications thoroughly to remove fake applicants and identify genuine applicants.

With this, officials rejected 42 lakh applications.

In second phase of verification, they brought down the number of applications to 38 lakh.

Jagan again ordered officials to bring down applicants further.

Officials imposed fresh conditions to filter applicants and removed another 9 lakh applicants.

They could bring down the total applicants finally to 22 lakh.

However, Jagan was not satisfied even after. He further ordered reverification.

Under pressure from the CM, the officials further filtered out few more applicants and finally brought down the applicants to 19 lakh.

However, Jagan has no funds to allot house sites and construct houses even for these 19 lakh.

Jagan continues to direct officals to explore ways on how to curtail the number of applications further.

Indications are that government would not provide house sites even for the half of these applicants even after multiple filtering of applications by Ugadi, the deadline set by Jagan to allot house sites to homeless.

Why he should make tall promises to win elections despite knowing very well that no government in the world could build houses for all homeless?

Why should he struggle now to filter the applications and remove the beneficiaries from the list?

Why CM Jagan needs heavy police protection?

0

Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu challenged CM Jaganmohan Reddy to step out of his house without extraordinary police protection. Why is so much security being provided to CM these days? With each passing day, his security cover is being increased manifold. This is despite absence of any big threat perception either from Maoists or from factionists or political rivals. Naidu says that it is Jagan Reddy’s oppressive policies that have made him number 1 enemy of all sections of people. There are no promised welfare benefits, no work for labourers and no hope left, except migrating to other states. The officials have obviously sensed the rising negative public mood against the CM.

During his visit to Amaravati farmers’ protest camps, Naidu sarcastically commented that Jagan has become such a fearful CM who is taking heavy police protection even to meet common people. Why is such a fearful Jagan Reddy trying to attack me at the slightest chance? Naidu asked. It is well known how, during TDP rule, Jagan Reddy freely moved on the roads from one end to the other end of AP in the name of Padayatra. He freely shook hands, took selfies, gave hugs, kissed foreheads and warmly touched heads of the voters at that time. In just seven months, the scene has reversed. Jagan is no longer seen much in public. Section 144 is imposed near his Tadepalli residence and in entire Amaravati Capital area. Naidu says that a time will come soon when AP people will revolt and chase Jagan Reddy till he runs away to his Pulivendula home town.

Will Jagan use his businessman skills to save AP?

0

Seven months are over since Jaganmohan Reddy took over as Chief Minister. The AP voters are not able to wait any more for receiving their huge cash transfer benefits. These are promised to them by the CM under his innovative and historic ‘Navaratnalu’. Finally, time has come for Jagan to prove his credibility and not break his promises. Andhra voters gave him historic victory. Not for nothing. They have historic hopes on Ammavadi, Rythu Bharosa, Arogyasri, YSR pensions, etc. On the other hand, the government’s financial situation is hopeless. Treasury is dry. Massive loans are being taken even to pay salaries. As per an estimate, Rs. 1 lakh crore will be required to implement ‘Navaratnalu’. Where from the young CM will generate this money?

It is well known how Jagan Reddy achieved unbelievable success as a businessman. In just a few years, he entered media, cement, power and different sectors. There was already his family’s mining business. Whatever Jagan touched turned into gold. He guided even Sakshi Media through most difficult times. Of course, all his spectacular business successes happened in his father YSR regime. He was jailed for sometime and is still facing Rs. 43,000-Cr CBI illegal assets cases. But still, Jagan businesses are no doubt a running success story. Now, the real challenge begins for Jagan Reddy. Will he use all these magical business skills in his capacity as CM? Will he solve financial crisis? Will he fully implement his Navaratnalu Cash promises? Time will surely tell, if none else does.

2020 a historic year of welfare: Jagan NY Mission

YSR son and CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy is beginning Year 2020 with a new mission to pass on welfare benefits effectively to the people of Andhra Pradesh. He has called upon the District Collectors and departmental heads to get ready for more novel welfare programmes. The government will bring in a new historic era of massive welfare programmes which were never implemented before in the past. 2020 will go down in history as a historic year of welfare. As part of this, Jagan has asked officials and YCP leaders to celebrate conversions of RTC workers into government employees with effect from New Year Day. This is highlighted as the biggest achievement in the light of neighbouring Telangana government’s total refusal to accept merger demand.

Jagan is very particular about his father YSR Arogyasri. For this, one and half lakh cards will be distributed from January 3. A new pilot project will be implemented in West Godavari to cover 2059 diseases under Arogyasri soon. ‘Ammavadi’ Cash Transfers will will begin from January 9 to benefit 4.28 lakh mothers whose children are studying in one to intermediate courses.

Jagan wished that with his welfare programmes, there will be happiness and joy in every household in the state. With God’s grace, welfare benefits will reach one and all. He recalled how 2019 changed the course of history to begin a new era of Cash Transfers directly into beneficiaries bank accounts.

Jagan’s broken promises ruined Amaravati farmers?

1

The Amaravati farmers’ protests are continuing for the 14th day today but there seems to be no hope of immediate relief from any side. The farmers are fast losing patience and threatening to take their agitation to any lengths against CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s Capital shifting plans. The Amaravati area voters are recalling how they were bluffed and cheated by the broken promises of CM Jagan Reddy. The farmers are saying that they wouldn’t have sacrificed their lands if Jagan Reddy did not speak naked lies on his support to Amaravati construction. Now, very cruelly, the YCP leaders are speaking as if the farmers gave lands out of their greed for quick and big money from high real estate values.

The farmers told Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan how Jaganmohan Reddy bluffed them into believing that the YCP government, if elected, would develop Amaravati better than the TDP. During his Padayatra also, Jagan made the local farmers believe in his support to Amaravati Capital. When Jagan held his electioneering in Capital villages, all YCP leaders spoke of continuing Capital City in Amaravati. The women voters recall how Vijayamma hugged and spoke sweetly with them to ask for One Chance to her son but she is not bothering about their problems now. The farmers are swearing to sacrifice their lives, if required, for the cause of fighting against Jagan Reddy’s Capital shifting plans. Nobody will believe any politician in future going by how Jagan Reddy is violating his own pro-Amaravati statement made in the Assembly as the Opposition leader during Chandrababu Regime.
