Naidu security being compromised in every way?

0

The Telugu Desam Party cadres are in a state of shock over the way in which their leader Chandrababu Naidu is being attacked, insulted and belittled by Jagan Regime. Even Naidu might not have expected this kind of shock treatments. He served as Chief Minister for 14 years and narrowly escaped from a landmine attack once by Naxalites. Despite this, his security was reduced disproportionately amid childish arguments made by CM Jagan and Ministers. AP Opposition leader had to eventually get relief from the High Court which ordered the YCP government to restore full security.

Now, in a more childish way, YCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy used private persons to fly drones over Naidu residence unauthorisedly. No prior information has been given to Naidu’s office. Now, Irrigation Minister Anil Kumar Yadav says that it was for getting an estimate over flood situation. Experts say drones are necessary to fly over places where floods are submerging canal bund houses threatening human lives and also where human beings cannot reach. There was no such immediate threat at Naidu residence.

Interestingly, CM Jagan, all Ministers and local MLAs are talking the same litigant, childish language being used by Mangalagiri MLA. This MLA has talked a lot on removing 70 illegal structures in Krishna Karakatta including multi-storeyed buildings of Mantena Satyanarayana Raju Ashram. Not a single brick could be removed till now. What a waste of time of Telugu community on such unproductive issues being projected by YCP day in and day out!

Andhra faces uphill task to foot the bill for freebies

0

With the series of sops announced during last two-and-half months needing a whopping Rs 50,000 crore, YSR Congress government in Andhra Pradesh faces an uphill task of raising the additional resources.

With the resource gap already at Rs 45,000 crore, the freebies announced since May 27 may further add to the burden on the public exchequer, deepening the fiscal crisis.

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government announced many schemes to implement its poll promises but it has not come out with plans to mobilize the required resources.

Analysts say controversial moves like reserving 75 per cent jobs for locals in all industries, review of Power Purchase Agreements and terminating one of the contracts for Polavaram project may further affect the investment climate and impact the efforts to generate revenues.

With development of state capital Amaravati no longer a priority for the government and the works awarded to various companies coming to a halt, investors may be reluctant to put in their money.

As the Centre is in no mood to reconsider its stand on the special category status despite YSRCP’s unconditional support to the Narendra Modi government over various issues including contentious bills in Parliament, the state may find the going even tougher to tide over the financial crisis.

“The state needs huge funds to implement the poll promises. If the Centre fails to lend a helping hand then the situation may slip out of hands for Jagan Reddy government,” says political analyst P. Raghava Reddy.

YSRCP has confined itself to blaming the previous government for the current financial position. Presenting Rs 2.27 lakh crore welfare-oriented budget last month, Finance Minister B. Rajendranath said the fiscal position the YSRCP government inherited compelled it to make some very hard choices between wealth creation and welfare programmes.

He pointed out that the state’s debts, which stood at Rs 1,30,654 crore in 2014-15, reached a whopping Rs 2,58,928 crore by 2018-19.

“There is a resource gap of around Rs 45,000 crore to fulfil the commitments under Budget 2019-20 Vote on Account presented in February. This resource gap is further amplified by the budget necessary for our new programmes,” Rajendranath had said in his budget speech.

The diplomatic outreach programme organised with diplomats and representatives of about 30 countries last week in Vijayawada was the first attempt by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to invite foreign investment. However, the occasion turned out to be an effort by the government to defend its controversial decisions and clear the doubts among the potential investors.

Doing some plain talk, Jagan Reddy told the delegates that Andhra Pradesh is a poor state and it lacked big cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai. Highlighting the state’s strengths, he said the government is committed to ensure corruption-free and transparent administration.

After the day-long event, the government claimed that the delegates looked at Jagan Reddy as the brand ambassador of the state. Claiming that the delegates were impressed with his honesty and urge to develop the state, it said they gave affirmative assurances about the possible investments in manufacturing, pharma, energy, IT, food processing, bio-technology and other fields.

Though the Centre and various industry bodies and rating agencies found fault with the cancellation of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) entered into by previous government with producers of renewable energy, Jagan Reddy claimed it is a pro-industry move.

“This is a tough decision we had to take, the renegotiation of PPAs will go on to instil confidence among the investors, though in the short run there could be some concern from the international community,” he said.

The Chief Minister explained that if power distribution companies are to buy power at a higher rate, the burden will be passed on the consumers and the new investors will feel the pinch.

Justifying the legislation enacted recently to provide 75 per cent jobs in all industries to locals, Jagan Reddy pointed out that even in the US, the slogan is jobs for locals and it is a worldwide phenomenon.

Analysts, however, say Jagan Reddy faces a tough task in allaying apprehensions of the industry and attracting new investments.

The incident at the roll-out of first car of Kia Motors from its plant in Anantapur district involving a YSRCP MP has also raised eyebrows in the industry circles. While Jagan Reddy gave the event a miss, his MP Gorantla Madhav vent his anguish on the bonnet of Seltos by writing ‘Car roll out – our youth ruled out here..sorry’.

The opposition alleged that as Telugu Desam Party (TDP) claimed credit for getting the South Korean auto major’s India plant, Jagan Reddy skilled the roll-out event despite senior company officials personally meeting him and extending an invitation.

In another move, which attracted all-round flak, Jagan Reddy terminated a key contract of Polavaram irrigation project being built on Godavari river and which is expected to become the state’s lifeline. It asked Navayuga Engineering Company Limited (NECL) to exit from the project on the ground that the contract for works valued Rs 3,000 was awarded by previous government on nomination basis.

The Centre, which is funding the Rs 58,000 crore project, also found fault with termination of the contract, saying it would cause further delay in completion of the works.

Jagan Reddy government also cancelled the agreement for development of Machilipatnam Port. It is also said that it reserves the right to claim damages from Machilipatnam Port Private Limited, in which NECL is a lead promoter.

AP flood politics crossing danger mark?

1

There is no doubt that the ruling YCP leaders have spread baseless and illogical rumours over floodwaters entering Chandrababu Naidu’s residence in Krishna river bank. The fact is that such a situation will arise only in extraordinary circumstances when an unusual flood occurs. There is no immediate such threat as per flood estimates.
On the other hand, TDP leaders alleged that YCP leaders deliberately forced officials to keep flood gates closed at Prakasam barrage so that floodwaters will enter Naidu residence. This is part of YCP’s obsessive politics to get Naidu family evacuated from his present residence. This is also an indefensible argument. Huge floods occurred in the past but that had not led to the permanent evacuation of residents from Karakatta buildings including Mantena Satyanarayana Raju Ashram which has hundreds of rooms in multi-storeyed buildings there.

YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy worsened the situation with his Tweets saying that Chandrababu had shifted his family to Hyderabad because of flooding of his residence in Karakatta. Analysts say that the YCP leaders are using even floods to provoke and embarrass Opposition. The ruling party leaders are forgetting the fact that the government should be solely preoccupied with flood relief activities to reduce human misery. Because of their flood politics, now rumours are circulating that only after Centre brought pressure that state officials released floodwaters from Prakasam barrage. Is it not alarming?

Has Jagan Circar made poor arguments before NGT?

1

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has ordered the AP government to stop the multi-crore lift irrigation projects of Pattiseema, Purushottampatnam and Chintalapudi with immediate effect. The orders were issued as there are no environmental clearances for these three projects. The NGT issued the orders based on the petitions filed by senior leader Vatti Vasanth Kumar and Srinath Reddy.

The opposition TDP leaders alleged that AP lost the case just because Jagan Circar deliberately didn’t make strong arguments before the NGT. They are arguing that these projects will be used only till the Polavaram lifeline project is completed. But because of the petitions, Andhra can no longer use Pattiseema to divert the Godavari river waters to meet the needs of farmers in Krishna and Godavari deltas.

Now the questions are coming up whether the YCP government would file review petitions or not. Analysts say that the fate of these projects will now depend on the financial support from the Centre. Jagan Circar is giving top priority only to the Navaratnalu cash transfer schemes which are taking a lion’s share of the state’s internal revenue.

YCP finalises 3 MLC candidates

0

The ruling YCP has decided to give 3 MLC tickets to Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana, Challa Ramakrishna Reddy and Mohammad Iqbal. All these leaders are going to file their nominations. Their election is going to be unanimous as the TDP has no enough numbers while YCP got 151 MLAs in the 175-member Assembly.

Mopidevi is considered a long-time loyalist of YSR family. He served in the YSR Cabinet as well. Mopidevi had also faced CBI investigation in the Jagan illegal assets cases and he was also jailed for sometime along with Jaganmohan Reddy.

Challa Ramakrishna Reddy is a senior leader of Reddy community in Kurnool district. Jagan has promised MLC to him prior to the elections itself. Sheik Mohammad Iqbal is a retired police officer and he was defeated by Nandamuri Balakrishna in Hindupur assembly segment.

There are many leaders who were promised MLC tickets by Jagan before elections. Marri Rajasekhar from Chilakaluripeta segment expected the ticket strongly as he stepped aside from election at the request of Jagan. His caste background came as a hurdle.

YSRCP MP sparks row with this ‘message’ on Kia car

1

What should have been a message to wish Kia Motors on the roll-out of its first made-in-India car turned out to be a note of protest by a Member of Parliament of Andhra Pradesh’s ruling party YSR Congress.

“Car roll out – our youth ruled out here ..sorry,” wrote Gorantla Madhav on the bonnet of Seltos, an SUV rolled out of the South Korean auto major’s India plant at Erramanchi village in Anantapur district on Aug 8.

Madhav, in whose Hindupur constituency the plant has come up, stoked a row by giving vent to his anguish on an occasion where the auto major was expecting best wishes from the party in power.

The picture of the bonnet with the MP’s slogan went viral on the social media with many netizens slamming him for his action.

The MP also allegedly threatened Kia officials for not inviting him on the dais during the roll out ceremony. He reportedly warned them that he will make them bow before Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

“Wonder what is the opinion of YSR Congress fans working in Hyderabad and Bengaluru”, commented a netizen.

Earlier this month, the police had arrested two local leaders of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) for allegedly threatening Kia officials not providing jobs to their candidates.

The MP’s action came amid a raging row over a Bill passed in Assembly last month for reserving 75 per cent jobs for locals in all industries.

“If YSRCP leaders can threaten an international company like this, what will be the plight of local investors,” asked opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nara Lokesh, son of former chief minister and leader of Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Naidu claims to have brought Kia Motors to Andhra Pradesh while YSRCP leaders have given credit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They had targeted Naidu for failing to ensure jobs for locals in Kia plant.

Interestingly, Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy skipped car roll-out event despite the top company officials personally meeting and extending him the invitation. According to official statement on Aug 5, the chief minister had accepted the invitation.

Jagan Reddy, who was in Delhi for two-day visit on Aug 6 and 7, extended it by a day and cancelled the visit to Anantapur.

Finance Minister B. Rajendranath Reddy, who attended the event on behalf of the chief minister, wrote “great event” on the car’s bonnet while another YSRCP leader and Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation chairperson R.K. Roja scribbled aceall the best.”

Kia Motors, which invested $1 billion in the facility, plans to manufacture three lakh cars per year and the production can be ramped up to seven lakh.

The state-of-the-art plant came up on 536 acres of land in just 14 months. With over 3,000 direct and 7,000 indirect jobs, Kia is expected to become the single largest employer in the drought-prone region. Officials said the ancillaries including 18 Korean companies are expected to provide an additional 5,000 jobs.

Grama Secretariats to give YCP bigger headaches?

1

Grama Secretariats concept was developed fully during Ex PM Narasimha Rao’s regime but no state government took active steps on this. Local self-government in villages is a long-standing concept. But it is neglected to a large extent because of the respective governments’ unwillingness to create parallel power centres at village level. Any ruling party will not dare to give complete power to village or lower level elected leaders or employees because of the conflict of interests that may arise. But Jagan Reddy Circar took a step forward to set up Grama Secretariats and recruit special staff there.

The creation of jobs has created a buzz in villages in favour of the YCP already. Once Secretariats are in place, village level functionaries are going to get additional powers over distribution of government benefits, services, etc. These village level leaders will no longer depend on mandal level or district level leaders.

Even the influence of MLAs and MPs will be greatly affected. Groupism in village level units of parties will become another big issue. Analysts say that the entire focus will be shifted from mandal level units to villages because of Grama Secretariats. At the same time, higher level party leaders will continue to interfere with the secretariat staff.

Reddy shadow ministers to counter non-Reddy ministers?

0

The dalit and BC ministers in Jagan Cabinet are now a greatly worried lot. Are they under constant surveillance? Is their every movement being closely monitored? These fears are increasing among the weaker sections ministers as CM Jaganmohan Reddy is getting greater grip over the administration. One incident especially added to the concerns among the non-Reddy ministers.

Initially, Nellore BC leader and Irrigation Minister Anil Kumar Yadav was given lot of prominence. But suddenly, Jagan and his Reddy coterie began downgrading his importance. As a result, Anil did not accompany Jagan during his visit to Delhi where Polavaram project figured prominently in the discussions with PM Modi. A closer look revealed that the Nellore Reddy lobby is behind this. They told Jagan how Anil made indecent comments against their caste just because they caused his defeat in the past.

After this, Anil is being slowly sidelined. He is not even being involved in major decisions in the ministry. Rumour is that already a young Reddy MLA from Rayalaseema is made Shadow Irrigation Minister to counter Anil Yadav who is maintaining a low profile now.

Can YCP change its strategy on AP Special Status?

YCP founder YS Jaganmohan Reddy used Special Status slogan to corner and upset TDP in 2019 elections. After becoming Chief Minister, Jagan continued to make repeated requests for the Status in front of Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah. He did this despite the BJP leaders clarifying repeatedly that AP Special Status is a closed chapter. Still, YCP leaders are raising the Status issue again and again. Strategically, TDP has stopped raising this demand and becoming closer to BJP.

For sure, Jagan and his party are facing a bitter truth now. When Kashmir itself lost Special Status, will it be possible for AP to get it despite some empty promises made at the time of reorganisation? Can YCP continue its policy to demand Special Status any more? Jagan indeed made a strategic blunder by committing himself to the Status at every forum.

Nation has seen how the Modi-Shah duo carried out a surgical strike on Kashmir Special Status by scrapping Article 370. This triggered speculation that Modi took such a historic step concerning Kashmir and his approach to AP Special Status would be equally negative. BJP national spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao is now referring to Kashmir operation to all those Andhra forces which are asking for Special Status.

The Congress leaders called the Kashmir action a murder of democracy. But the BJP leaders hit back saying that the Congress played a foul game at the time of separating Andhra and Telangana. This is the atmosphere prevailing at the Centre. Will Jagan continue to plead and request PM with all humility for Special Status any more? Analysts say that YCP or TDP or any other Andhra party should take a lesson from Kashmir experience and better ask for special funds in place of Special Status. Just like, Chandrababu accepted Special Package during his regime.

Will YCP MP first row seat in Lok Sabha help AP?

0

The Andhra voters gave a very big victory to YCP in 2019 that it won 22 out of total 25 MP seats in the state. With this, YCP MP Mithun Reddy became a Panel Speaker and also got the first row seat in the Lok Sabha now. The Modi government gave priority to YCP considering the fact that it is next only to BJP, Congress and DMK in terms of MPs strength in the Lower House. The YCP leaders are elated over this distinction but how will it benefit AP is still a big question mark.

The importance of the first row seat is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and important Union Ministers sit in this row. Any views expressed by the first row MPs usually go to the full attention of the top leaders. Even Rahul Gandhi could not get first row seat. He is given second row as Sonia Gandhi and Adhir Ranjan got first row on behalf of Congress. Rahul has refused to accept the Leader of Opposition in LS.

Will YCP be able to make use of this distinction to get justice to AP? Analysts say that this is indeed a great opportunity, something that even TRS could not get despite floating Federal Front. This is also an excellent opportunity to give stronger voice to Andhra cause compared to Telangana. BJP may be ignoring Special Status and other demands of reorganisation episode but there is an immediate need to get special funds for completing Polavaram life line project, Andhra Capital City, etc.

Mobile Canteens in future, no more Anna Canteens?

The YCP government has been making many unpopular decisions since coming to power in the past two months but the people have not reacted much. Now, the lowest point has arrived as there’s an all-round negative response to the closure of Anna Canteens. Poorer sections and small-time employees are expressing their anger openly against the Jagan Reddy government.

The increasing disappointment from different sections has now pushed the ruling party into utter confusion. The YCP leaders are especially embarrassed as they can neither face the angry public nor can they talk boldly to convince Jagan to reopen the Canteens. General public are now worried over the actual intentions of the government. Initially, they thought the government will just change the name and continue the Canteens.

As there’s lot of public resentment, the YCP leaders have changed their tune and saying that Mobile Canteens will be opened all over the state. This has further created doubts that Jagan Circar is not going to reopen Anna Canteens forever.

YCP threats to Kia Motors for jobs and contracts

1

Kia Motors, a prestigious multi-national company in Anantapur district, is facing harassment from the YCP local leaders in the past two months. Company General Manager finally lost patience and filed a police complaint against the mandal level ruling party leaders. The GM personally met and narrated to Anantapur SP about the threats.

The YCP leaders main demands are for giving jobs to their party sympathisers in Kia factory and also to hire the lorries belonging to YCP leaders. Kia managers couldn’t fulfil their demands in view of the company’s prior commitments. Being a global corporate giant, Kia management wouldn’t simply succumb to political threats. It was only after intense lobbying and super incentives ordered by Chandrababu regime that Kia came to Anantapur district.

Threats to Kia GM became a topic of discussion in the business circles. They’re wondering why the district police are acting so late. Industry-related matters are so sensitive and Andhra is already facing a crisis in this aspect.

YCP tactics for iron grip over Grama Volunteers?

0

The ruling YSR Congress Party leaders are using a novel technique to keep newly appointed Grama Volunteers in their tight grip for the next five years. These leaders are taking ‘prior resignation letters’ from Volunteers forcibly. They want to use these letters if any Volunteer turns against their party interests in future. The YCP leaders are doing this all over the state as they are afraid that after becoming government employees, these Volunteers may slip out of their control.

During the previous TDP rule, there is no such problem. There were Janmabhoomi Committees on which there were Mandal level officials in addition to local people’s representatives. Because of this, only the ruling TDP leaders’ influence worked at that time. Now, the YCP is also trying to retain a firm grip on rural administration and distribution of welfare sops through the Grama Volunteers. For this, the ruling party leaders are now forced to follow illegal and objectionable methods like getting advance resignation letters.

This has become a subject of debates within the government employees’ unions. They are asking where is the need for all these Grama Volunteers amid lot of publicity when they have no minimum job guarantee. Though these appointments are taken up through DSCs, there are rumours that almost all Grama Volunteers jobs are filled at the recommendations of local YCP leaders.

YCP MLA son sent to Cherlapally Central Jail

0

Samineni Venkata Krishna Prasad, son of YCP Jaggayyapeta MLA S Udayabhanu, was sent for 14-days judicial remand. The police shifted him to Cherlapally Central Jail to serve the remand. The 12th AMM Court Judge gave the order after Krishna Prasad was produced before him. The YCP MLA son landed in the big trouble as he allegedly kicked Traffic Circle Inspector Rajagopal Reddy with his leg during a heated argument.

The police slapped cases against Krishna Prasad on the charges of assaulting the police inspector and a constable who were on duty at the Khanamet Cross Roads in Madapur area. It all started after the YCP MLA son’s ego was badly hurt when the constable addressed him impolitely when he was driving his car in violation of traffic rules.

Krishna Prasad got down his car and picked up argument with the constable asking why he was using bad language. Meanwhile, Traffic Inspector Rajagopal Reddy arrived on the scene and asked Krishna Prasad to come to the police station. This greatly enraged MLA son who shouted at Rajagopal Reddy and kicked him with his leg. The entire scene was captured on the CCTV footage. The MLA tried to pacify Rajagopal Reddy but he did not relent and filed the case. The 14-days judicial remand for an MLA son has become a hot topic in political circles in Telugu states. The ruling TRS leaders have also not interfered in the matter.

Why are YCP MPs not agitating for Special Status?

0

The Modi government at the Centre has not fulfilled Special Status and other major promises to Andhra Pradesh. But it is giving a lot of national-level posts to the ruling YCP MPs and leaders. Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy was nominated as a member on the Estimates Committee. Rajampeta MP Mithun Reddy was named as a panel speaker. RS MP Vijayasai Reddy was made member on the Mangalagiri AIMS Board. Now, Amalarpuram MP Chinta Anuradha is made a member of the Coconut Board at the national level.

Analysts say that it is nothing double standards on the part of the BJP government at the Centre to give top posts to YCP MPs on the one hand and not fulfilling reorganisation promises to Andhra. The ruling YCP has been demanding Special Status at every available opportunity but it has not taken to the agitational path. If the YCP is really committed to the cause of Andhra Special Status, the party MPs should not have accepted the top posts being offered by the BJP.

Whenever BJP says that Special Status is a closed chapter, YCP leaders keep silent. CM Jaganmohan Reddy just raises the demand for Special Status during his meetings with PM Modi and forgets about the same later. YCP MPs also raise this demand on every available opportunity but they do not agitate for the same. However, they accept any post given by the BJP. Can they agitate for AP demands if they accept such posts?

YCP MLA’s son kicks traffic inspector

0

The Madapur police registered a case against Jaggaihapet MLA Samineni Udayabhanu’s son Prasad on the charges of attacking a police inspector and obstructing duties of a constable. The incident created ripples in political circles in Telugu states. The Hyderabad filed the cases regardless of the close relations of the YCP with the ruling TRS in Telangana. The provocation for serious police action was that Samineni Prasad did not hesitate to kick the inspector in presence of other police force.

It all started when a traffic constable on duty stopped MLA son’s car in Madapur area to regulate traffic there. Samineni Prasad picked up an argument and started verbally abusing the constable for alleged disrespectful talk. At this juncture, an inspector arrived on the scene with whom Prasad behaved equally highhandedly.
Then, the inspector asked Prasad to come to the police station. At this, the MLA son became furious and kicked the inspector with his leg. The police staff present there took Prasad into custody and shifted him to the police station. Cases under various sections for assault on police were booked against the MLA son. The police are not giving further details as it involved the family of a people’s representative. Tests were also conducted on Prasad to find out whether he was in an inebriated condition.

BJP sets 6-months deadline for Jagan Circar

0

The Bharatiya Janata Party national and state leaders are dropping all hints on how they are going to corner YCP boss and CM Jaganmohan Reddy sooner than later. Union Minister Amit Shah openly praised MP CM Ramesh indicating that their party would give equal priority to leaders who join their party. Now, BJP AP President Kanna Lakshminarayana has set a 6-month deadline for Jagan to prove its impartiality in governance.

Kanna warned the Jagan government of serious repercussions if it did not implement pro-people programmes. He demanded that the ruling YCP should take immediate measures to implement 10 per cent reservations for poor candidates from open categories. Kanna said that the Modi government at the Centre has introduced this to provide support to the youth. The AP government has not yet begun its implementation which may increase the problems of the unemployed youth in the state.

Political circles say that the BJP’s changing strategies may cause greater harm to Jagan and his party rather than the TDP in the coming months. Of the 6-months deadline, already two months are nearly over. The BJP national leaders are also expected to step up their attacks on Jagan by this year-end. YCP will face bigger trouble from the BJP than the TDP considering the national party’s desperation to capture power by hurting the ruling party in AP.

Centre shocking reply to YCP MP in Lok Sabha

2

The BJP government at the Centre once again clarified that there would be no question of giving special concessions or tax exemptions to Andhra Pradesh. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari told Lok Sabha that it would not be possible to give special treatment to one particular state ignoring the interests of all other states. Replying to a query from YCP MP Avinash Reddy, the Union Minister said in a straight forward manner that the Centre is interested in implementing any policy uniformly applicable to all the states in the country.

This is not the first time that the YCP MPs got such negative replies from the BJP Ministers and national leaders.
Avinash Reddy told Lok Sabha that Special Status was promised to AP at the time of separate statehood but it was not fulfilled till now. No industries had come up in the past five years. The young generation is suffering due to lack of job opportunities, said the YCP MP.

Analysts say that the BJP is slowly taking a hard line against CM Jaganmohan Reddy as he is not keeping silent on Special Status despite several cautions issued by the BJP top leaders. On his part, Jagan and his party leaders are raising this demand wherever possible giving embarrassment to the Modi-Shah duo.

YCP MLAs doing ‘Jagannamasmarana’ in Assembly?

0

The Muslim Minority community is taking strong objection to the comparison of CM Jaganmohan Reddy to Allah the Almighty. They are demanding apologies from Jagan and YCP Labour Minister Jayaram. The sensitive issue became a heated debate after Minister dared to make the comparison in the Assembly. The Muslim leaders say that it’s banned in the Quran itself that nobody should venture to make comparisons with Allah the Merciful.

The latest controversy triggered comments against the YCP MLAs’ overall behaviour in the House. Analysts say that the ruling party MLAs have made it a single-point agenda to do Jagan Bhajana and Jagannamasmarana during the Assembly debates without trying to discuss people’s problems. This is evident from how a minister himself so recklessly compared Jagan with the Allah. Such comparisons in the past have thrown leaders into big controversies. There is a feeling that Jagan is also encouraging this fanaticism and not trying to enlighten his party MLAs on making meaningful debates in the Assembly.

AP people have fallen from the frying pan into the fire: BJP

0

The Bharatiya Janata Party is leaving no opportunity to attack the ruling YCP in Andhra Pradesh. YCP leaders are not at all countering their statements. The BJP is now of the opinion that the Jagan Reddy government is becoming more and more unpopular every day because of its own anti-development and anti-people policies. It thinks AP people are feeling that they have made a mistake in the last general election.

BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav has stepped up his strong attack on the Jaganmohan Reddy government. He says that the AP people have already lost their hopes of getting any improvement in their loves from the ruling party. They thought of betterment by changing the government but even greater harm is being done to them now.

Ram Madhav says that the AP people have now fallen from the frying pan into the fire by giving a thunderous majority to the YCP. Their hopes on the second regional party have gone. Ram Madhav asserts that there’s a clear chance that the people will go with the BJP as it is a national party which will stay in power at the Centre for the next 25 years.
