Jagan, Naidu and Pawan can’t save AP: Congress

0

The AP voters have eliminated Congress in 2014 and 2019 polls. Because, Sonia Gandhi unjustly divided United AP, giving Hyderabad Capital City to Telangana state. The Andhras are still unable to recover as their state is now caught in the worst ever Capital shifting crisis. CM Jagan Reddy is least bothered about agitations of farmers and Chandrababu. Pawan Kalyan has fallen silent after his alliance with the BJP. The people are blaming Modi-Shah for not trying to resolve AP Capital crisis. Now, the Congress is volunteering to shoulder the responsibility to bring back stability to Andhra.

Congress AP new President Sailajanath says that only their party can save AP from the iron grip of BJP. He says that Jagan Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan can’t save the state from Modi-Shah. They can’t even stand up and fight with PM Modi unjust strategies. Sailajanath says that it is only Congress which can fight with Modi. Only Congress can restore the past glory of AP by solving all its problems including Capital.

Interestingly, the new slogan of Congress is its promise to save AP from the all-round destruction being caused by Jagan Circar. Congress says that because of his anti-people policies, Jagan has lost his moral right to use his father YSR’s name.

Naidu politicising Vizag Capital, says Botsa

0

Confusion Minister Botsa Satyanarayana tried to remove latest confusion on the alleged hidden parts of the GN Rao and Boston committees reports which suggested against Vizag Capital. He told the media and the people that there’s a negative campaign by opposition on Vizag. Botsa blamed Chandrababu Naidu for the prevailing confusion on the government policies now. He asked Naidu to stop politicising the Vizag Capital since the government is moving ahead with clarity on the 3 Capitals decision.

Botsa asked the media not to mislead the public by publishing false reports. The government has taken the full reports of GN Rao, Boston and High Power Committee before selecting Vizag for Executive Capital. Naidu burnt these reports in Bhogi bonfires at that time. But now, the same Naidu is running campaign on these reports.

Botsa asked whether Naidu is for or against the decentralised development of all the regions in the state. On their part, the YCP is committed to development of backward regions on a par with developed areas. So, there is no turning back on Vizag Capital.

Jagan can’t cheat people again, says Naidu

0

The people of Andhra Pradesh gave Once Chance to YC Jaganmohan Reddy for giving good administration. Instead, in the last eight months, Jagan Reddy used this one opportunity to demolish Praja Vedika, dismantle Amaravati, stop Polavaram, scare away industries and shift Capital city. Now, CM Jagan is trying hard to wrongfully win over TDP MLCs to pass the Vizag Capital Bill in the Legislative Assembly. But, on their part, the Opposition MLCs are strongly opposing Capital shifting from Amaravati. Praising them for their honesty, former CM Chandrababu Naidu told Jagan Reddy that people were not as innocent and gullible as he is thinking about them.

Naidu said that people had not realised their mistake and they would not ever give a second chance to Jagan Reddy. For that matter, Naidu told Jagan that nobody would give another person another chance to cheat them again and again. The TDP boss said that his party MLCs and those of other opposition parties would also not trust Jagan. The YCP’s plans to win over opposition MLCs would not succeed in this massive wave of Amaravati Capital sentiment. Talking about loss of Jagan credibility, political analysts are recalling Abraham Lincoln’s famous quote: “You can cheat some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but not you cannot cheat all of the people all of the time.”

Naidu-Vijayasai strategy wars from Council gallery

0

AP Ex Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and YCP Number 2 Vijayasai Reddy are camping in the separate gallery boxes to guide their MLCs in the AP Legislative Council on the 3 Capitals Bill. Nearly 22 YCP Ministers are there inside the Council to bulldoze and get the Bill passed. But the TDP Floor Leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu is demanding that the Capitals Bill should be referred to a Select Committee. Whereas, Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said that technically, it wouldn’t be possible as TDP didn’t ask for Select Committee in advance. TDP asked how can it predict that the there would be so much deadlock on the issue.

The Council turned into a battle zone throughout the day. Both YCP and TDP stuck strongly to their positions. The Chairman had to adjourn the Council several times. Naidu had to remain in the gallery because TV live coverage of the Council was suspended by the ruling YCP to avoid getting negative attention from the viewers. Both Naidu and Vijayasai were seen consulting and guiding their MLCs in the Council strategy wars. Naidu is personally monitoring Council strategy to prevent the YCP from winning some more MLCs in favour of the Capitals Bill.

Black day for Andhra Pradesh: Naidu

0

Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu asked why the Jaganmohan Reddy government timidly arrested hundreds of opposition leaders on a day when the historic Assembly is meeting. He said that today is a black day in the history of Andhra Pradesh. Naidu said that there is an unofficial curfew all over the state. Where is the need for such oppressive steps?

Meanwhile, the people of villages in Amaravati region pushed through the police cordons and arrived to protest at the Assembly. Men and women protesters violated the police orders and made the Chalo Assembly call a success. The Amaravati protesters sat in dharna at the Assembly premises. Thousands of villagers are arriving from surrounding places in Amaravati.

Naidu said that Jagan Reddy is blindly going ahead with his 3 Capitals decision even though the people were protesting against this for over 33 days. Naidu asserted that there would be no question of allowing YCP to shift Capital out of Amaravati Capital City. Naidu went in a protest rally to the Assembly before the start of the special session.

Naidu finally reacts on Pawan-BJP alliance

0

The ruling YCP and the Communist parties have immediately condemned Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan’s latest alliance with the BJP as an opportunistic tie-up. But, TDP National President Chandrababu Naidu has given his response after a few days now. Naidu said that the people of Andhra Pradesh would be happy if the Jana Sena and the BJP national party together fight for the cause of saving Amaravati Capital City. Other than that, the Ex CM did not make any further political comment on the new alliance. On the other hand, YCP is alleging that it was Naidu only who has guided Pawan Kalyan to join hands with the BJP. It was Naidu alone who sent MPs Sujana Chowdary, CM Ramesh and others into the BJP a few months back.

As of now, CM Jaganmohan Reddy almost became isolated in AP political scene. All the Opposition parties are turning against his government’s decisions. They are calling CM Jagan as adamant, arrogant, casteist and also insensitive to the problems of the common people. The TDP, BJP, Jana Sena, Lok Satta, Praja Shanti Party, CPI and CPM are all opposing the shifting of Capital from Amaravati in the name of administrative decentralisation. TDP and Communists are already in the thick of anti-Capital shifting agitation. BJP and Jana Sena are yet to take a full-scale plunge into the protests. They are threatening to protest in streets once Jagan Circar formally announces its decision to shift Capital on January 20.

KCR agitation tactic of by-polls not advisable for Naidu?

0

At the time of Telangana agitation, KCR made his MLAs resign and go for by-elections several times. This was used as an agitation tactic to keep the sentiment alive. Usually, the ruling parties would have an upper hand in any by-election. It can use the official machinery especially the revenue and police to its advantage. But KCR and his family always scored a big advantage over ruling parties by provoking separate state feelings in every by-election. Now, in AP, the by-election strategy has come to the surface in the ongoing agitation against Jagan 3 Capital Cities. It all began with Chandrababu Naidu challenging CM Jagan Reddy to go for re-election on the Capital shifting promise. Naidu has even offered to quit his four decades old political career if Jagan wins re-poll with 3 Capitals as his election promise.

YCP Ministers are not accepting Naidu challenge. But instead, they are asking Naidu to make all his TDP MLAs resign and seek re-election to test public pulse on Capital shifting. Is by-election a worthwhile option to increase pressure on Jagan Circar on Amaravati issue? Analysts say that Andhras are not like their Telangana cousins. AP society is vertically divided along caste and sub-caste lines. Sentiments like Capital continuation may not work effectively. But, if the entire state goes for re-election, things will not be so rosy for Jagan like in 2019 election.

Chandrababu launches “missed call campaign” to save Amaravati!

0

TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has launched a ‘missed call campaign’ to bring pressure on AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy to drop his plans of shifting executive capital from Amaravati to Vizag and to garner public support for continuance of Amaravati as the only capital of Andhra Pradesh as it is.

Naidu appealed to AP people to give missed call to 8460708090 to express their anger against capital shifting from Amaravati and support to Amaravati as capital.

“Festivals do come, but the difficulty that the farmers of Amaravati region are experiencing today should not be experienced by anyone on any festive occasion,” he said

He requested people to give a missed call to 8460708090 to declare that Amaravati will be the state capital of AP.

Earlier, the BJP had also launched the missed call campaign when there was severe opposition to the Citizenship Amendment Act and Union Home Minister Amit Shah appealed to people to give a missed call to 8866288662 to lend their support to the CAA.

Now taking a cue from Amit Shah, TDP chief Chandrababu appealed to people to give missed call to save Amaravati.

Naidu burns 3 Capitals reports in Bhogi bonfires

0

Amaravati agitation protests began from early morning hours today. Agitators burnt pro-Capital shifting reports given by GN Rao Committee and Boston Consultancy Group in the Bhogi bonfires everywhere. Ex Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu burnt copies of these reports in the bonfire at Benz Circle in Vijayawada city. The farmers and JAC Committee leaders also took part in the festival-cum-protest event. The TDP and JAC leaders were surprised by the big turnout of Amaravati sympathisers. Many people donated jewellery and cash for the cause of taking forward Amaravati agitation. The agitators also burnt the orders issued by the government setting up the High Power Committee of Ministers and Bureaucrats.

Already the Amaravati Agitation JAC has given a call to the people not to celebrate Sankranthi festival. The people were asked to express their protests against CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s unilateral and adamant decision to shift the Capital to Vizag. Interestingly, the police have not imposed any restrictions on the opposition activists. The High Court’s suo motu case against police atrocities has made the police take a back step eventually. The JAC leaders are giving appeals to people to continue their agitations till Jagan Circar withdraws its 3 Capitals plans.

Naidu counter to rivals on Pawan caste

0

Opposition Leader N Chandrababu Naidu made mocking comments against Minister Kodali Nani’s caste-based comments against Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan. Why is Minister Nani frequently calling Pawan Kalyan as Pawan Naidu? It reflects the crooked mentality of Jagan and his Ministers to demotivate rival leaders with malicious comments. Chandrababu asked whether the Chief Minister should be called Jagan Naidu. Should Minister Nani be called Nani Reddy? Where is the need for bringing caste into politics? Chandrababu sarcastically said that the YCP leaders have no moral right to criticize Pawan. While Jagan Reddy made huge wealth by looting the AP people, Pawan Kalyan earned every single rupee with hard work, dedication and determination.

Chandrababu begged in the streets of Machilipatnam port town for the first time in his political career. In the past, NTR begged here to mobilise financial support for the jawans of the country. Chandrababu asked why the ruling party MLAs and Ministers in Capital districts are not opposing Jagan Reddy decisions. Why doesn’t Minister Nani resign and tell Jagan about the angry feelings of Amaravati sympathisers? Chandrababu appealed to the Bandar people to continue their agitation till CM takes back his Capital shifting decision.

Chandrababu Naidu detained amid high drama in Vijayawada

0

Amid high drama, police detained former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP leaders when they were trying to embark on a ‘bus yatra’ to Amaravati on Wednesday night.

The police later let off the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and other leaders at his house at Undavalli in Amaravati.

Tension prevailed near Vedika Kalyana Mandapam when Naidu, Communist Party of India (CPI) state Secretary K. Ramakrishna and other TDP leaders were leaving on a ‘bus yatra’ as part of the continuing protest by Amaravati farmers over the YSRCP government’s three capitals proposal.

Police stopped the Leader of Opposition and others, leading to a heated debate between the two sides. Protesting against the police behavior, Naidu and others squatted on the road at Benz Circle.

Naidu condemned the high-handed behavior of police and demanded that they be allowed to undertake the ‘bus yatra’. The protestors raised slogans against Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and the police.

The protest led to huge traffic jam at the busy city centre. Amid a tense situation, the police forcibly lifted the protesting leaders and carried them to waiting police vehicles. They were later dropped at Naidu’s residence.

Naidu’s son Nara Lokes, former ministers Atchan Naidu, Devineni Uma and TDP MLAs were also among those detained.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha slammed Naidu for the “drama” and said that he is turning out to be an anti-social element after losing power. She blamed him for the chaotic situation in Krisnna and Guntur districts.

“He is just trying to save the lands of his benamis in the capital region by creating a law and order problem in the region,” she said.

The minister said under the three capital proposal the legislative capital will remain in Amaravati and hence there was no need for any protest over the issue.

BCG gave a garbage report to kill AP future: Naidu

0

Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu took strong objections to the recommendations of the Boston Consultants Group (BCG) for forming 3 Capital Cities in Andhra Pradesh. Naidu accused the BCG of deliberately destroying the future of AP only to please CM Jaganmohan Reddy. He said that Vijayasai Reddy’s son-in-law Rohit Reddy is associated with this BCG group which is why the group gave a malicious report which is nothing but a bundle of lies.

Naidu asked why BCG didn’t take note of the fact that Rs 10,000 Cr was already spent on basic infrastructure in Amaravati Capital City. If Jagan Reddy doesn’t want to spend Rs 1 lakh Cr, he need do it. But still, Jagan can continue to use the existing Secretariat and Assembly buildings in Amaravati. He need not spend a single rupee any more to continue his seat of administration here. If Jagan moves Capital City, he will have to spend hundreds of crores in the new place. Naidu wondered why the BCG ignored this all important logic.

Naidu also raised the issue of flood threat in Amaravati which is highlighted in BCG report. He asked why the BCG team did not take note of cyclone threat in Vizag. Also, Kurnool town was ravaged by severe floods a few years ago. No big city or capital city in the world is free from some sort of natural calamities. Naidu questioned the professionalism of BCG as a global group since it commented on the disadvantage of riverside location of Amaravati. Doesn’t BCG know that Dubai was constructed on sandy, loose soils.

Pawan reading script given by Naidu: Botsa on Capital

0

Municipal Minister Botsa Satyanarayana is trying to speak with some clarity on Amaravati shifting these days. He says that both Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan and the Capital City farmers are innocently following the script given by former CM Chandrababu Naidu. They have no idea of their own. They are not listening to YCP Ministers but continuing their agitation just because Naidu is asking them to do so. No doubt, Pawan’s one day visit to Amaravati has triggered widespread anti-Jagan reactions on social media. Pawan took this stand despite Jana Sena is a little stronger in North Coastal areas. This is why Botsa is branding Pawan as anti-Vizag. At the same time, the Minister is trying to project Amaravati farmers’ protests as a political agitation of TDP.

In the last two days, protests thoroughly shook up Capital villages because of Pawan and Naidu visits. Now, Botsa advises Naidu and his wife Bhuvaneswari to return their lands back to farmers rather than donating small things like bangles. Naidu family is being accused of doing insider trading to buy Capital farmers’ lands at cheaper rates prior to Capital announcement. Botsa asked farmers and Pawan not to remain in the trap of TDP boss. It was because of Naidu that AP has gone back by 25 years. Why did not Naidu complete Capital construction? Botsa blamed Naidu for committing irregularities which eventually led to incomplete Capital buildings even after five years.

Naidu’s wife donates bangles for Amaravati farmers’ protest

0

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s wife N. Bhuvaneswari on Wednesday contributed her gold bangles for the ongoing movement by farmers to demand continuation of Amaravati as the capital.

Naidu, who is the President of Telugu Desam Party (TDP), asked farmers to auction the bangles to raise money for their protest programmes.

Bhuvaneswari, daughter of legendary actor, TDP founder and former Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao, joined her husband in visiting Amaravati villages to meet protesting farmers and express solidarity with them.

Bhuvaneswari, a businesswoman, made the rare appearance at the protest against the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government’s three-capital proposal.

Bhuvaneswari, who heads Heritage Foods, a family owned dairy company, usually accompanies Naidu to temples or functions.

“We know the sacrifices you all had made by parting with your cultivable lands for the capital, hoping for a great future. Our family is with you in your fight against shifting the capital out of this place,” she told protestors at Errabalem village.

The couple choose the New Year day to visit Amaravati, the brainchild of Naidu. As a show of solidarity with agitating farmers, the TDP chief and the party stayed away from New Year celebrations.

For the 15th day, farmers in all 29 villages of Amaravati region continued their protest against Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s proposal to shift the Secretariat and Chief Minister’s office to Visakhapatnam and the High Court to Kurnool.

Naidu came down heavily on Jaganmohan Reddy and wanted to know why he went back on his word, as the then Leader of Opposition, that he fully supports Amaravati as the state capital.

The Leader of Opposition asked farmers to continue their protest with courage and remarked that Jagan will have to flee to Pulivendula (Jagan’s home town).

Naidu said Jagan was so scared of travelling from his residence to Secretariat through Amaravati villages that his convoy passes only after rehearsal by a dummy convoy. “Soon, the day will come when he will have to fence his house,” he said.

Naidu humiliating IAS, IPS officers: Sakshi Media

0

Is Chandrababu Naidu no more a favourite of the bureaucrats? In the past, he was known for giving lots of respect to IAS and IPS officers more than even his MLAs and Ministers. But these days, Naidu is openly making threatening statements against the officials on the issue of political harassment and non-stop police cases. Now, objecting to this, the Jagan Media asks how Naidu can call GN Rao a useless IAS officer. Can anyone pass such comments on a retired officer who has served the state for decades in various capacities including as a District Collector?

Why is this sudden concern from Sakshi Media towards officials? For some weeks, the morale of the officials is getting hit because of open criticism of their biased functioning. A very senior leader like JC Diwakar Reddy has passed bitter most comments against the police who couldn’t do anything except threatening to file cases. Now, in respect of GN Rao issue, his report favouring ‘AP Capital shifting’ became an object of ridicule because it read exactly like the statement made by CM Jagan Assembly in advance. Obviously, such instances are making rivals bold enough to describe officials as the ruling YCP activists. Even the senior officials are getting demotivated and feeling stuck in ugly political crossfire. No doubt, Sakshi Media is doing some damage control before bureaucrats lose more confidence in the ruling leadership.

Why CM Jagan needs heavy police protection?

0

Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu challenged CM Jaganmohan Reddy to step out of his house without extraordinary police protection. Why is so much security being provided to CM these days? With each passing day, his security cover is being increased manifold. This is despite absence of any big threat perception either from Maoists or from factionists or political rivals. Naidu says that it is Jagan Reddy’s oppressive policies that have made him number 1 enemy of all sections of people. There are no promised welfare benefits, no work for labourers and no hope left, except migrating to other states. The officials have obviously sensed the rising negative public mood against the CM.

During his visit to Amaravati farmers’ protest camps, Naidu sarcastically commented that Jagan has become such a fearful CM who is taking heavy police protection even to meet common people. Why is such a fearful Jagan Reddy trying to attack me at the slightest chance? Naidu asked. It is well known how, during TDP rule, Jagan Reddy freely moved on the roads from one end to the other end of AP in the name of Padayatra. He freely shook hands, took selfies, gave hugs, kissed foreheads and warmly touched heads of the voters at that time. In just seven months, the scene has reversed. Jagan is no longer seen much in public. Section 144 is imposed near his Tadepalli residence and in entire Amaravati Capital area. Naidu says that a time will come soon when AP people will revolt and chase Jagan Reddy till he runs away to his Pulivendula home town.

‘No new year celebrations, donate to Amaravati fight’

0

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party supremo Chandrababu Naidu has urged his party members and followers to avoid spending on new year celebrations and instead donate the amount to the joint action committee (JAC) for protection of Amaravati as the state capital.

Naidu tweeted, “With thousands of farmers hitting the streets, TDP has decided to stay away from new year celebrations this time.”

The TDP government which lost power in the Assembly elections earlier this year, had chosen Amaravati as AP’s new capital, following the bifurcation of the state and formation of Telangana state.

Around 25,000 farmers in the area had given their land measuring a total of 33,000 acres under a land pooling scheme for the capital city project.

The YSR government’s moves now to cancel the project will end up causing the farmers immense problems, the TDP has alleged.

2019 a year of mixed opportunities for AP people

0

The year 2019 goes down as a year of surprises and setbacks, and missed political opportunities in the history of residual Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra voters rejected Chandrababu Naidu’s development agenda to construct a global capital city and reconstruction of the state. YS Jaganmohan Reddy won a resounding victory by convincingly asking for One Chance to implement his Cash Transfer welfare mission. But, the very first file signed by CM Jagan to increase old age pensions met with criticism. He actually promised to give Rs. 3,000 pension in his electioneering but later he announced Rs. 2,500 only under YSR old age pension scheme. Weeks later, Jagan Circar began getting increasing criticism on its inability to meet the great expectations of voters on ‘Navaratnalu’ cash promises to farmers, SC, ST, BC and Muslim women and youth.

The year is indeed proving to be a big test for Chandrababu Naidu leadership. Especially, he faced humiliation from Jagan Reddy in the Assembly. What more, Jagan went on a spree of demolitions, cancellations and destruction of all the developmental projects launched by Naidu. Jagan began his rule with partial demolition of Praja Vedika. Political and police harassment of TDP leaders caused much bitterness leading to suicide of former Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao. Now, Capital shifting move caused bitter criticism. All Opposition began calling Jagan Regime as a mad Tughlaq rule taking AP backwards by 10 to 20 years. Now, aspirations are rising for a strong capital, development agenda and economic growth.

Jagan atrocities may cause people’s revolt: Naidu

0

TDP National President N Chandrababu Naidu advised CM Jaganmohan Reddy to realise his mistakes in the issue of Capital shifting to Visakhapatnam. Naidu told CM to continue Assembly and Secretariat in the present buildings in Amaravati and save the Rs 10,000 Cr additional expenditure in another place. If YCP Circar is really worried about mobilising Rs. 1.9 lakh Cr, it can continue in existing facilities in Amaravati without spending a single rupee. Naidu reacted on the change in the government plans on Three Capitals proposal after Cabinet meeting decided not to shift Capital immediately but ordered another committee to study it.

Chandrababu hinted at taking a delegation of Capital City farmers, Amaravati Protection Committee leaders and political leaders to meet PM Modi in Delhi soon. The PM will be urged to intervene and protect the interests of Amaravati farmers.

Naidu said that the protests of farmers and all round criticism forced the government to go slow. He warned that Jagan Reddy would soon have no alternative but to run away from AP if all the people and 29 villages in Amaravati revolted against his government. Why has Jagan Reddy got so much hatred towards one particular region in the state? Naidu said that it was not correct for the YCP to attack and cripple one particular area. The Naidu said that the Ministers couldn’t prove a single instance of insider trading against TDP leaders in Amaravati. They tried to tarnish one particular caste but finally failed to convince the people with their lies.

Naidu says ‘Jai Amaravati’: Is it a political risk?

1

After six days of farmers’ agitation, TDP National President N Chandrababu Naidu visited and announced his support for pro-Amaravati protests in Core Capital region villages. He joined farmers and shouted ‘Jai Amaravati’. This is what CM Jaganmohan Reddy has been waiting eagerly to brand Naidu as an enemy of backward regions of North Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema. Jagan Reddy has already branded Amaravati as a massive real estate venture of Naidu to promote one particular caste. Now, Naidu has to do a lot of explaining on how he ensured decentralisation of economic development in remote corners of the state. He recalled how Vizag was developed as Financial Capital during his regime and how industrial development was spread in backward regions.

Chandrababu said that he had lot of hopes on Amaravati developing as a future global scale city because of its inherent advantages. But now, the scene has dramatically reversed on account of oppressive policies of the YCP government. Naidu said that it would be a total lie to say that there is no money to construct Amaravati. It is a self-financing city which will have 10,000 acres of highly-priced commercial space once Capital City takes shape. Without spending a single rupee of the government, Amaravati has potential to become an international city. But Jagan is crushing it for political revenge.
