Tollywood to felicitate Megastar
Megastar Chiranjeevi has been serving Indian cinema from the past four decades and his contribution to the craft has been immense. The Indian government announced honouring Megastar with Padma Vibhushan. The announcement came last night and he is showered with congratulatory messages. Several celebrities from Tollywood and the Mega family members reached out to his residence to congratulate Megastar Chiranjeevi personally.
Telugu Film Chamber President Dil Raju announced that they will felicitate Chiranjeevi garu very soon and the entire film industry will attend the event. Telangana Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy too confirmed the news. All the bigwigs from Tollywood are expected to attend the felicitation event of Megastar. The top actor is on a break and he will join the sets of his upcoming movie Vishwambara from February. The film is aimed for Sankranthi 2025 release.
Chiranjeevi honoured with Padma Vibhushan
Megastar Chiranjeevi has been an undisputed king in Telugu cinema for decades and his contribution for Indian cinema has been immense. As speculated, Chiranjeevi is honoured with Padma Vibhushan and an official announcement came last night. Delighted with the honour, Chiranjeevi thanked everyone for the gesture. Megastar was showered with congratulatory messages after the announcement was made. AP politician and former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu too is honoured with Padma Vibhushan. Vyjayantimala Bali, Shri Bindeshwar Pathak and Padma Subrahmanyam are the other Padma Bhushan awardees for the year.
M Fathima Beevi, Hormusji N Cama, Mithun Chakraborty, Sitaram Jindal, Young Liu, Ashwin Balachand Mehta, Satyabrata Mookherjee, Ram Naik, Tejas Madhusudan Patel, Olanchery Rajagopal, Dattatray Ambadas Mayaloo, Togdan Rinpoche, Pyarelal Sharma, Chandreshwar Prasad Thakur, Usha Uthup, Vijaykanth and Kundan Vyas are the recipients of Padma Bhushan.
Thirteen Massive sets for Megastar’s Vishwambara
Megastar Chiranjeevi will soon join the sets of Vishwambara and the shoot of the film commenced in December. Vassishta is directing this socio fantasy film that is loaded with entertainment. As per the update, thirteen massive sets are constructed for the film’s shoot in Annapurna Studios. Top Art director AS Prakash is currently working on the sets and the set work will be wrapped up this month. Chiranjeevi will join the shoot in February in these sets and a major portion of the shoot will be wrapped in these thirteen sets.
The makers have allocated a major budget for the sets and the VFX work. Trisha is the leading lady and the makers will make an official announcement soon. The first glimpse that was out for Sankranthi is quite impressive. MM Keeravani will score the music and background score for Vishwambara. UV Creations is producing this mega budget film and it is slated for Sankranthi 2025 release.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s next film is a periodic action drama and it is directed by Bimbisara fame Vassishta. The shoot commenced recently and Chiranjeevi will join the sets of the film post Sankranthi. The film is titled Vishwambhara and the title poster along with the concept video are unveiled on the auspicious occasion of Sankranthi. Megastar Chiranjeevi wanted to celebrate Sankranthi with his entire family and all the Mega heroes took a break and flew down to the farmhouse of Chiranjeevi in Bengaluru. Powerstar Pawan Kalyan who is quite busy with his political engagements missed the celebration. Chiranjeevi posted a picture along with the entire family on his social media page. Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Varun Tej, Sai Tej, Vaishnav Tej, Allu Sirish, Lavanya Tripathi along with Allu Aravind, Naga Babu and others were present. Upasana along with others posted some other clicks and videos from the celebrations. Pawan Kalyan’s children Akira and Aadhya were present and their clicks posted by Renu Desai are trending.
Venky75 celebrations in a Grand Manner
Victory Venkatesh has achieved the milestone of 75th film with Saindhav and the team arranged a grand event on the occassion. Several top actors from Telugu film industry were invited. The event was not live and it was restricted to limited fans, friends and the industry celebrities. Chiranjeevi, Nani, Rana Daggubati, Adivi Sesh, Nikhil, Sree Vishnu, Vishwak Sen, Brahmanandam, Ali along with the team of Saindhav attended the event. Anil Ravipudi and Bobby are the other guests from the directors of Telugu cinema.
Chiranjeevi lauded Venkatesh for his journey in Telugu cinema. The event will be telecasted on ETV on the New Year’s eve. Saindhav is an action thriller directed by Sailesh Kolanu. Venkatesh, Shraddha Srinath, Nawazuddin Siddhiqui, Arya, Andrea, Ruhani Sharma and others will be seen in prominent roles. Niharika Entertainment are the producers of Saindhav.

Trisha signs one more Telugu Film?
Veteran beauty Trisha is back with a bang and she is quite busy in Tamil. The actress is also making her Tollywood comeback with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s next film that is directed by Vashista. The team is yet to make an official announcement for the same. As per the ongoing rumors, Trisha is said to have been approached for one more Telugu film and she gave her formal nod. Trisha will be seen beside Nagarjuna in his next film Love Action Romance that will be directed by a debutant Anil Kumar.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga is now placed in the list of the country’s top directors after the release of Animal. The film is doing exceptional business all over. Sandeep Reddy Vanga is touring in USA currently and during the interaction he was questioned if he would direct Megastar. Sandeep immediately responded saying that he would love to direct Chiranjeevi in an action drama. Sandeep Reddy Vanga has a series of films lined up. He will soon direct Prabhas in Spirit and he has a film with Allu Arjun.

Netflix CEO meets Megastar and Charan
In an interesting development, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, who is in India has visited the residence of Megastar Chiranjeevi last evening in Hyderabad. Mega Powerstar Ram Charan too was present and they hosted Ted Sarandos for the evening. Ted Sarandos and his team landed in Hyderabad and they went to the Jubilee Hills residence of Chiranjeevi. Reports say that they discussed collaborations in the near future. After the release of RRR, Ram Charan is a Global Star and he is looking for bigger collaborations.
Chiranjeevi too is on a hunt for interesting content. Ted Sarandos meeting Mega heroes gained prominence. There are reports that the Netflix CEO will meet several stars and filmmakers of Telugu cinema during his visit. Netflix is focused on Indian content and they have inked deals with several Bollywood producers. They are acquiring the digital rights of Telugu films on a selective basis.
Megastar’s quote shocks Dil Raju
Top producer Dil Raju has plans to work with veteran actors like Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. He has been trying hard to find the right scripts. Successful director Anil Ravipudi penned an engaging entertainer considering Megastar Chiranjeevi. Dil Raju gave the final approval for the idea. He met Megastar Chiranjeevi to discuss about the project and he was left in shock with the quoted remuneration. Chiranjeevi quoted a remuneration of Rs 70 crores and Dil Raju was left in shock with the quote.
For now, he decided to put the film on hold. The makers are making huge profits if Chiranjeevi’s films are faring well in theatres. Anil Sunkara lost big through Bhola Shankar and Mythri Movie Makers made decent profits through Waltair Veerayya. Dil Raju who is quite calculative kept the project on hold for now. Chiranjeevi comes out to support Trisha
Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan’s derogatory remarks on Trisha gained a huge support to Trisha. Tollywood actor Nithiin was swift enough and supported her. Megastar Chiranjeevi lashed out Mansoor Ali Khan for his statements made on Trisha. “My attention was drawn to some reprehensible comments made by actor Mansoor Ali Khan about Trisha. The comments are distasteful and disgusting not just for an Artiste but for any woman or girl. These comments must be condemned in the strongest words. They reek of perversion. I stand with @trishtrashers and every woman who has to be subject to such horrid comments” posted Megastar.
Trisha replied saying “Thank you Chiru sir”. Soon after the statements made by Mansoor Ali Khan, Trisha responded calling them disgusting. Leo director Lokesh Kanagaraj too responded for the comments. Mansoor Ali Khan met the press this morning and the actor said that he is not ready to apologize. He supported his statements saying that rape means not a real rape in movies. He said that the people of Tamil Nadu are with him.
Mahesh and NTR attend Megastar’s Bash
Megastar Chiranjeevi hosted a Diwali party in his residence last night and several celebrities apart from family members attend the party. Superstar Mahesh Babu and Young Tiger NTR are the top actors from Tollywood who attended the bash. The entire Mega family was present for the Diwali party. Mahesh Babu is currently shooting for Guntur Kaaram directed by Trivikram and the film is aimed for Sankranthi 2024 release. NTR wrapped up a schedule in Goa recently and he is back to Hyderabad.
