Varun Tej’s next project on Hold?

0

Mega Prince Varun Tej delivered a disaster with Ghani and he soon made a comeback with F3. The actor is currently on a break and he announced a film in the direction of Praveen Sattaru. The film was launched officially but the shoot is yet to commence. More than 70 percent of this action entertainer is planned to be shot in London. Going with the happenings, the makers have kept the film on hold. There is no update about the project and the makers have spent lavishly on the pre-production work.

The Visa process of the cast and crew members is put on hold recently. The real reasons for the move are not known. The film’s director Praveen Sattaru directed Nagarjuna’s The Ghost and the film is struggling for buzz. The makers will have to wait for the film’s release and will take a call on Varun Tej’s film after the release of The Ghost. If Nag’s film ends up as a hit, Varun Tej’s project will start rolling. For now, the project is put on hold. BVSN Prasad is the producer of this untitled action entertainer.

F3 Worldwide Closing Collections – Average

F3 Worldwide Closing Collections

F3 has ended it’s run worldwide with a distributor share of 53.50 Cr (excluding GST input). The film is an average venture at the boxoffice due to high prices sold to distributors , with incurring minor losses. After a good weekend the film had a mixed run thereafter and new releases have affected it starting second week. F2 has collected 81 Cr share during Sankranthi 2019 and F3 has managed to collect 70 percent of it. Reasons that can be attributed are the ticket rates in A.P and obviously the Sankranti season which is the best for Telugu Films.

A rare feat from F3

1

Gone are the days of films having a long run at the theatres. The theatrical run is restricted to the first weekend or a week. This year biggies like RRR and KGF: Chapter 2 had a long run at the theatrical windows. F3 is the latest one which completed 40 days and the film is still having a decent run in some of the theatres across the Telugu states. The makers too as promised to release F3 only after 50 days of the theatrical release are strict on their stand. F3 left Dil Raju in huge profits and all the parties involved made good profits.

F3 is a comic entertainer and is the sequel to the successful film F2. Anil Ravipudi directed F3 and Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah, Mehreen, Murali Sharma and Rajendra Prasad played the lead roles. The film is produced by Dil Raju and Shirish. The makers also announced that the film would have a sequel F4.

F3 Superhit In All Areas From Andhra To America: Dil Raju

1

Venkatesh and Varun Tej’s F3 is successfully running in the third week. The movie supported by the family audience continues to mint collections. The team celebrated the success meet in Hyderabad. Producers announced 126 Crore gross for the movie till date.

Legendary director K Raghavendra Rao is the Chief Guest and presented the success shields to the team and the distributors.

Speaking at the event, Varun Tej said, “Apart from the appreciation from the audience and commercial success to the producers, distributors becoming safe gives me immense happiness. Thanks to the cast and crew of the film. Special thanks to the audience.

Anil Ravipudi, the director said, “I bow my head to the Telugu audience for giving me a double hattrick of hits and keep them in your hearts. It will give me the energy to work more in the future. There are people who do not like my films but I am making whatever I know. My idea is to entertain audiences of all classes. I don’t think of anything else except for entertaining the audience. Audience tastes have changed after the pandemic. F3 is doing well even in the third weekend.

So, we are all proud because this is a real success. I thank Dil Raju and Sirish who stood by me always. I thank my heroes and the heroes like Ravi Teja, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, and others who appreciated me”.

Successful producer Dil Raju is a very happy man about this success. “F3 as expected has become successful in all areas from domestic markets to the United States. We did not add a pandemic burden on our distributors. So they are all happy. The biggest success of a film is when the audience enjoys our film and when the movie runs into profits. I thank all my distributors who traveled with me all these years. Despite the pandemic, the movie got share even on the seventeenth day yesterday. This is the real success of F3. Special thanks to Venkatesh garu, and Varun Tej garu. We will complete the second hattrick with Anil soon,”.

F3 Team rejects a massive Early OTT deal

2

F3 is the film that brought back the family audience to theatres after a long pandemic pause. After a super strong first week, the film has been doing decent business in its second week. Anil Ravipudi and his team announced that the film will be available on Sony LIV only eight weeks after the film’s theatrical release. The digital streaming platform offered Rs 12 crores more for the early digital streaming of the film.

The team of F3 denied the deal and they are strict on their stand. F3 will stream on Sony LIV only after two months after the theatrical release. The film is expected to do decent in the next two weeks despite several new releases. F3 happened to be the first choice for the family crowds even after films like Major and Vikram hitting the screens. The film also attained breakeven status in most of the territories and in the rest of the regions, the film will recover the investments before this weekend.

F3 is a comie entertainer directed by Anil Ravipudi and Venkatesh, Varun Tej played the lead roles. Dil Raju is the producer.

F3 Success Dedicated To Family Audience: Venkatesh

2

Venkatesh and Varun Tej’s F3 team attended the film’s Success meet in Vishakapatnam. The team had announced that the movie has collected 100 Crore Gross in just nine days.

Speaking at the event, Venkatesh said, “Anil Ravipudi and Dil Raju came up with a good script and the audience provided a great success. Thanks to the technical team and the artists who worked on this film. It’s a delight to have a large female and family audience here. Thanks again to all the audience who provided such a great success”.

Varun Tej said the response of the audience is more than the film collection. “We worked hard for two years with 200 artists and brought the film to entertain you for two hours. This is a satisfaction that money and collections cannot give. The support you have shown for the F3 movie is worth a hundred crores to us,” he said.

Anil Ravipudi who added another hit to his kitty sounded delighted. “From the beginning, we have been saying that the film was made to make people laugh, and today the value of those laughs has been returned to 100 Crore rupees. Collections coming to F3 are giving more kick than collections that came to F2. The reason is audience coming to theaters even in this situation. The F4 announcement is also coming soon,” he said.

Successful Producer Dil Raju thanked the audience big time said, “Today is the ninth day and the movie collected 100 Crores gross. Touching hundreds of millions with a family movie after COVID is very special to us. Audience made this possible. F4 annoucement is coming soon. Our goal is to make F4 that is logical and magical”.

Dil Raju’s strategy goes wrong for F3

1

Top producer Dil Raju had high hopes on F3, the sequel for F2, one of the biggest hits for his production house. Dil Raju and the entire team of F3 promoted the film with the slogan that the film’s tickets will be sold for normal prices and there would be no hike. The tickets in AP are sold for normal prices but in Nizam, the tickets are sold for Rs 295 plus taxes (multiplexes) and Rs 175 plus taxes (single screens). Dil Raju had a strategy of making these the base prices for the future films and he wanted the audience to watch F3 for these prices. Raju also believed that the family crowds and common audience would rush to watch the film in theatres for these prices.

F3 opened on a strong note over the weekend but the weekday numbers are not satisfying in Telangana. In AP, the film has been doing decent business and it is also expected to have a strong second week. In Telangana, the audience are not much interested to watch the film for these high ticket prices. Dil Raju also sold the theatrical rights for huge prices and the film may fall short in recovering the theatrical deals. Films like Major and Vikram are releasing today and F3 would remain as one of the options for the movie lovers. F3 entered into its second week but the makers are not bothered about slashing down the ticket prices.

Dil Raju’s strategy for F3 went terribly wrong. It’s high time for the filmmakers to slash down the ticket prices and make them affordable for the common audience before the footfalls get reduced.

The overall drop for the film is little less than 50 percent with some areas dropping around 55 percent and some just 40 percent. Acid test ahead for F3

1

F3 is the sequel for F2 and the film released on Friday. The family crowds and the general audience loved the film and they rushed to theatres in large numbers. F3 made decent money over the weekend and it ran with packed houses in Telugu states. Dil Raju, the film’s producer holds the theatrical rights of the film for Nizam, Vizag and Krishna districts. He sold the theatrical rights of the film of other regions for huge prices. F3 has to fare exceptionally well during the weekdays to recover the complete investment of the film.

With summer holidays in the Telugu states for the next two weeks, F3 will have a decent run for sure. But there are ample films releasing in the next two weeks. Films like Major, Ante Sundaraniki, Vikram and 777 Charlie will hit the screens in the next two weeks. F3 will be a profitable film for Dil Raju but the film should have a rock solid theatrical run in the next two weeks to leave the buyers and other parties in decent profits. This comic entertainer is directed by Anil Ravipudi and has Venkatesh, Tamannaah, Varun Tej and Mehreen in the lead roles.

Kamal Haasan weighs in on language row, says ‘diversity is our strength’

1

At a time when Hindi has been at the centre of a controversy over whether it should become India’s link language, Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan, who had once called Hindi “still a little child in diapers”, said here on Thursday that the conversation is not needed as the country’s “diversity is our strength.”

The actor, who was in the national capital to promote the Tamil action thriller ‘Vikram’, said: “We should be proud that we have people speaking different languages but communicating with each other in English. There’s nothing wrong with it. The British robbed us of many things, but they left us something which we can encash now.”

Talking to IANS, the auteur, who’s back from the 75th Cannes Film Festival, underlined the strength of India’s linguistic diversity: “Why are we making it our weakness? We have so many languages and we have learned to live with them. We have so many cuisines. Our diversity is our strength. We should be proud of it rather than being ashamed of it.”

The 67-year-old star, who started as a child artiste when he was all of six, has been acting for more than five decades. He has worked in several languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Hindi, where he has been a part of a number of acclaimed films such as ‘Sadma’, ‘Ek Duuje Ke Liye’ and ‘Saagar’.

He’s happy therefore about the emergence of an ‘Indian cinema’ that cuts across language barriers. Why did it take us so long to call it ‘Indian cinema’?

Kamal, who likes to be referred to as an “Indian actor”, said: “I hope it happens in every field. You call it Indian language instead of calling it Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi or Bengali. It’s our language. I cannot speak it but there are millions who can speak it. Like 80 million people speak Tamil, that’s a lot of people bigger than a country.”

Over the years, the box office has seen regional language movies such as the ‘Baahubali’ franchise, and more recently, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, the ‘KGF’ franchise and ‘RRR’ leaving Hindi films far behind in the competition for eyeballs. What is Bollywood doing wrong?

“Nothing wrong,” the superstar was quick to reply, adding: “Some of them are very talented.”

He explained: “It’s like the National Awards, which are given by (a jury of)12 people. But the audience, millions of them, also give awards. The fact that an actor doesn’t get a National Award doesn’t make him a bad actor. It doesn’t make him an actor who is doing something wrong.

“It’s just that he didn’t get the right opportunity, the producer, to do it. The same applies to filmmakers when they want to make a film — the right production, the right distribution, the right publicity, these are all important factors. All these are coalescing now, thanks to technology, communications, YouTube, media — everything has grown. So, we are able to reach out to a lot more people, instead of shouting ourselves hoarse to get national attention.”

‘Vikram’, which is being backed by Kamal Haasan production house, Raaj Kamal Films International, is scheduled for a June 3 release. Besides the superstar, the Lokesh Kanagaraj film has Vijay Sethupathy and Malayalam actor Fahad Faasil playing the lead characters, with music scored by Avinash Ravichander.

Varun Tej reveals interesting details on his next film with Praveen Sattaru

0

Varun Tej, who is known for his subtle acting, plays a completely cracked up character in Anil Ravipudi’s upcoming ‘F3’.

Varun also reveals that his next film after ‘F3’ will feature him in an exact opposite role.

Varun Tej revealed that he will play the hero in the next film directed by Praveen Sattaru during a brief media interaction about his upcoming comedy entertainer ‘F3’. Varun also confirms that the film will be a straight-up action drama set entirely in London.

Praveen Sattaru, who rose to prominence after directing the film ‘PVS Garuda Vega,’ is now directing Akkineni Nagarjuna in the highly anticipated film ‘The Ghost.’ Following the completion of ‘The Ghost,’ the filmmaker will direct Varun Tej.

Varun Tej, who is eagerly awaiting the release of ‘F3,’ has stated that he is looking forward to the film’s release because he believes it will entertain the audience like no other.

F3 Has More Entertainment Than What Is In The Trailer: Anil Ravipudi

0

Venkatesh and Varun Tej’s F3 is releasing on May 27th. Director Anil Ravipudi who has become the synonym of success is very confident about the movie result. He interacted with the media ahead of the film’s release.

Anil Ravipudi explained why there are new additions in F3. “I thought of telling a new story with well-connected elements to the F2 audience. If F2 has marital frustration then F3 has Money Frustration. Greed and conspiracy surrounding money is the key point. It worked out as Hilarious. With F2 Success, all the artists worked with good energy. Sunil, Murali Sharma, Ali, and some other artists have been added. F3 is more on glamor and fun,” he said.

He also revealed why he added night blindness (to Venkatesh) and stammering problems (to Varun Tej). “Expectations are definitely higher when it comes to F2 to F3. Even more, can be done if there are more elements to increase the fun dose. We added these characterizations to make it look more fun with similar characters than with a normal character. There is more than what we saw in the trailer,” he added.

The young director says he is confident of satisfying the huge expectations audience will have after F2. “There is the responsibility of F2 and then, there is this responsibility of bringing the family audience to the theaters after the pandemic. F3 will be successful in both of that,” Anil assures.

The director who did not have a single failure in his career will be directing Nandamuri Balakrishna for Shine Screens banner.

All eyes on F3

0

F3 is the first full-length entertainer that is hitting the screens after the coronavirus pandemic started. The film is hitting the screens this Friday and the pre-release sales for the film are decent. Anil Ravipudi and his team are quite busy with the promotions and they are pretty confident that all the sections of the audience would watch the film in theatres. Venkatesh and Varun Tej revealed that F3 would be watched on repeat mode because of the unlimited fun. The film’s producer Dil Raju announced that there would be no price hike for the film. All the promotional interviews reached the audience well.

The trade analysts, film producers and the film industry are following the film closely. The film is carrying reports from the Censor shows in Hyderabad and Dubai. The film’s theatrical rights are valued at high stakes and F3 will have to do exceptionally well to recover the investments. The film will also have a cap of just one week as there are several films releasing next week. Hence, F3 has to open with a bang and do well. F3 is directed by Anil Ravipudi and it has Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah and Mehreen in the lead roles.

They are no hike in ticket rates for the film and that will be a huge plus if the film garners decent word of mouth atleast. The film is an own release by the producers in Nizam, UA, Krishna & Guntur areas. Ceeded is sold and Andhra business is done in 30Cr ratio.

F3 Has Triple Dose Of Fun: Venkatesh

1

Victory Venkatesh’s energy not only remains the highlight of F3 but also of the promotions of the movie releasing on the 27th of this month. The Superstar has interacted with Print and web media today about Anil Ravipudi’s directorial.

“I get unique energy whenever I am doing comedy. It feels like college days. I naturally have fun with everyone. Audiences also love to see me like this. After a gap of two years, it is a pleasure to come up with a Big Entertainer like F3. It’s a kick to see such entertainers with the family,” Venkatesh said.

“F2 was a big hit. The audience loved the movie and the characters. Definitely, they want more entertainment from F3. The F3 has a triple dose of entertainment that does not fall short of the audience’s expectations,” the Superstar assured.

He also narrated the difference between F2 and F3. “More fun is added to F3. Many actors have been added. The film is very lavish. There are so many good sequences. F3 has more fun than F2,” Venkatesh added.

He also revealed how the character of F3 is quite opposite in the real life. “My character in F3 is the exact opposite to what it is in real life,” he says. However, he still narrates how he works hard to ensure the comedy works. “Every dialogue has to be improvised. Sometimes a kind of fun arises in the voice itself. So, I try to give better than what the director has,” he says.

Venkatesh who sounds confident about the movie says his next films are solo movies for Sithara Entertainments and Mythri Movie Makers.
