Pawan tours Vizianagaram, promises to stand by people

0

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Sunday toured the Vizianagaram district and interacted with the people. He told them that he would stand by them and asked the people to fight against the corruption in the YSR Congress regime. He also told his party workers to fight against the government without worrying about the police cases.

The Jana Sena chief, who is currently camping in Visakhapatnam, went to Gunkalam colony to see the weaker section housing colony. He inspected the colony layout, the roads laid there, and the houses being constructed.

Pawan Kalyan said that the Jagananna Colonies being constructed in the state involved Rs 15,000 crore corruption. He asked the people to question the ruling party leaders on the massive corruption involved in the housing programme.

He took strong exception to chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for not coming out of his house in Tadepalli. He said that the chief minister was hiding in his house, while the ruling party leaders were looting the state. He wanted the people to understand the corruption involved in every scheme.

The Jana Sena chief also criticized the ruling party leaders for misleading people in the name of three capitals. He said that the party leaders were looting the Uttarandhra region in the name of giving executive capital to Visakhapatnam.

Pawan Kalyan said that he would take care of the future of the younger generation. “Vote for the Jana Sena in the next election and give us a chance to work for the people and develop the state,” the Jana Sena chief said.

He made an appeal to the people to reject the YSR Congress leaders in the state, particularly in the Uttarandhra region. He said that the leaders from this region were amassing wealth while the people were suffering in poverty. The Uttarnadhra region too had not seen any development in the last three years, he said.

Pawan Kalyan reaches Vizianagaram amid tight security

0

Amid political tension and tight security, actor and Jana Sena Party (JSP) leader Pawan Kalyan reached Vizianagaram district on Sunday to highlight alleged irregularities in a housing project for the poor.

He will visit Jagananna housing colony at Gunkalam on the outskirts of Vizianagaram and interact with beneficiaries of the colony, which is named after Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy (Jagananna).

Pawan Kalyan will launch a new programme titled ‘Jagananna illu pedalaandriki kannillu’ (Jagananna houses, tears for poor).

The actor’s fans and JSP workers accorded a warm welcome to Pawan at various places on Visakhapatnam-Vizianagaram road. They showered petals on the actor who stood in his car and waved at the crowd.

At Anandapuram crossroads, the JSP leader was presented a huge garland with the help of a crane.

This is after a gap of three and a half years that Pawan Kalyan is visiting Vizianagaram. He had last visited the district in 2019 during the election campaign.

JSP leaders have alleged large-scale land scam in Jagananna project, the foundation stone of which was laid by the chief minister on December 30, 2020. They say that the government purchased lands from ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders at exorbitant prices in the guise of construction of Jagananna mega project.

A total of 12,477 houses are planned to be constructed in over 397 acres. It will also have civic infrastructure like schools, hospitals, community halls and markets.

However, the mega township’s construction could not be completed. Due to delay in providing basic infrastructure, beneficiaries could not construct the houses. Increase in construction material cost and labour charges, lack of water supply, poor drainage and road network and other reasons also led to the delay in construction of houses.

According to JSP leaders, the sanctioned amount is not sufficient to meet the expenditure of the beneficiaries who came forward to construct houses on their own. The government claims to have provided additional financial assistance in the form of loans.

Ahead of Pawan Kalyan’s visit, YSRCP MLA Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy visited the township. He alleged that JSP was unable to digest the good schemes launched for the poor.

Police have made elaborate security arrangements for Pawan Kalyan’s visit as his recent visits to Visakhapatnam and Guntur had sparked tension.

Last month, Pawan Kalyan had to return from Visakhapatnam without participating in the scheduled public meeting as the police barred him from addressing any gathering following attack on convoys of a minister and some YSRCP leaders allegedly by Pawan Kalyan’s supporters outside Visakhapatnam Airport.

The actor-politician on Friday night called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Visakhapatnam when the latter was on a visit to the port city. After the meeting, the first between the two leaders since 2014, Pawan Kalyan had expressed the hope that this would bring good days for Andhra Pradesh.

Pawan Kalyan, an ally of BJP, is keen to forge a grand alliance by bringing Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on board to defeat YSRCP in 2024 elections.

He had stated a few months ago that he is waiting for a roadmap from BJP to dislodge YSRCP from power.

Manohar blames police for rumors against Jana Sena

0

Jana Sena political affairs committee chairman Nadendla Manohar on Sunday blamed the Andhra Pradesh police for spreading false news against Jana Sena. He responded to the news reports that the police have alerted the YSR Congress leaders and Ministers about the possible attack on them by the Jana Sena activists.

This news is doing rounds in the state following the attack on Jana Sena office at Tekkali the other day. The news says that the Jana Sena activists are planning to approach the senior leaders of the YSR Congress and the Ministers in the guise of giving representation.

The state intelligence police have received this message from their sources and have alerted the senior leaders and ministers against the possible attack by the Jana Sena activists.

Manohar discounted the news and said that the police were leaking negative and false information against the Jana Sena. He said that the Jana Sena activists would not resort to criminal politics. He also asserted that the Jana Sena activists have not resorted to any sort of criminal activity ever since the party was formed.

Manohar also wondered how the intelligence agency report was leaked if at all it was true. He wanted to know what action that the DGP would take against the police officials for leaking the secret report of the intelligence wing.

The Jana Sena leader asked the police what action they have taken to identify the culprits who attacked the party office at Tekkali. He wondered why the police have not arrested anyone responsible for the attack on the party office.

Manohar advised the state police to stop acting as the political agents of the ruling party. He regretted that the state police officers from the top to bottom were working for the political benefits of the ruling party. He advised the police to stop being the agents of a political party in stead work as the agents of the people.

Jana Sena leaders get bail in Visakha case

1

Nine members of the Jana Sena were released on bail on Saturday. With this all the 70 leaders of the party who were arrested by the Visakhapatnam police were released on bail.

The police have arrested the Jana Sena leaders following an attack on Ministers at the airport on October 15. The Jana Sena activists were waiting at the airport when the ministers reached the spot.

It was alleged that some Jana Sena activists have pelted stones at the ministers’ vehicles causing damage to them. The police booked cases against the Jana Sena leaders who had applied for permission for Jana Sena meeting on the day.

Besides them, the police also identified others using the CC camera footage. While the local court granted bail to 61 activists on the same day, nine leaders were sent to judicial remand.

However, the AP high court had granted them bail on Friday. As the jail officials received the court orders on Saturday, they released the Jana Sena leaders from the jail after completing the formalities.

The arrest of the Jana Sena leaders also reflected on the Jana Sena programmes planned in Visakhapatnam on October 16 and 17. However, following the arrest, Pawan Kalyan cancelled these programmes alleging that the government was harassing him and his party leaders.

He rushed back to Vijayawada after addressing a press conference in Visakhapatnam, where he accused the ruling YSR Congress of political witch-hunt. He also addressed another press conference in Vijayawada.

On the next day, Pawan Kalyan addressed a meeting of the party workers where he went abusive and aggressive on the YSR Congress leaders.

Later, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu met Pawan Kalyan and called for a united action plan to counter the YSR Congress in the 2024 general elections.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan welcomed the release of his party activists. He said he had faith in the judiciary and would continue to fight against the corrupt and criminal leaders of the ruling YSR Congress.

Pawan Kalyan condemns arrest of JSP leaders for Vizag airport incident

0

Jana Sena Party leader and actor Pawan Kalyan on Sunday condemned the arrest of his party leaders and workers for an incident at the Visakhapatnam Airport and demanded their immediate release.

He found fault with the way police handled the situation on Saturday and alleged that they showed high-handedness towards the Jana Sena leaders and workers.

The police arrested some Jana Sena leaders after stone pelting the convoys of a minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders at the airport.

The incident occurred when the Jana Sena supporters had gathered at the airport to welcome him while minister R.K. Roja and other leaders of the ruling party were returning from Visakhapatnam after a rally in support of three state capitals.

Pawan Kalyan alleged that the police had colluded with the YSRCP government. Targeting Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the actor alleged that the police were working under a person and saluting a person who has no respect for them.

He questioned why the police failed to solve the case relating to murder of former minister and MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, the uncle of Jagan Mohan Reddy

He said in the past YSRCP leaders had stated that they had no confidence in Andhra Pradesh Police.

“Are we doing any anti-social activity,” Pawan asked while condemning the high-handed attitude of the police.

Pawan said his party acted with restraint out of respect for the police force. He alleged that those who wanted to create trouble provoked the police.

“Police do not run the state. Their duty is to maintain law and order. Jana Sena’s fight is with those who make policies and take decisions and not with the police,” he said.

He alleged that the government was trying to suppress the voice of those speaking about the people’s problems. He said the ruling party was scared as it was unable to face the people’s movement.

Pawan Kalyan also made it clear that he would not be cowed down by the threats of YSRCP ‘goondas’.

He alleged that minister Dharmana Prasad Rao had encroached on the lands of ex-servicemen. “If he has any love for the north Andhra region, he should vacate those lands,” he said.

Pawan slammed the YSRCP organising a rally in Visakhapatnam in support of three capitals. He said he can’t understand how a party which is in power can hold a rally like ‘Visakha grajana’ (Visakhapatnam’s roar) He said a man, who has all powers concentrated in his hands, is talking about the decentralisation of power

The Jana Sena leader said he had decided to visit north Andhra three months ago. “Our programme was decided much before YSRCP decided to hold a rally. We had no intention to disrupt the YSRCP’s programme.” He clarified that the ‘Jana Vani’ programme of Jana Sena is an exercise to know the people’s problems.

Jana Sena activists attack Ministers’ vehicles in Visakha

1

In an unexpected development, Jana Sena activists damaged Ministers’ vehicles at Visakhapatnam on Saturday. The incident happened when the ministers were returning from Visakhapatnam to the airport after participating in the Garjana programme.

The Jana Sena activists were waiting at the airport to receive the party chief Pawan Kalyan, who arrived in the city for a three-day programme. As the ministers’ vehicles reached the airport, the Jana Sena activists hurled stones and footwear at them.

Ministers Jogi Ramesh, R K Roja, former minister Perni Nani and TTD chairman Y V Subba Reddy were in the vehicles when the incident happened. The vehicles were damaged as stones hit them.

The police intervened and dispersed the Jana Sena activists from the scene and created a way for the ministers’ vehicles to move forward. The police said that the miscreants were not identified yet but will go through the CCTV cameras later.

Meanwhile, Minister for Water Resources, Ambati Rambabu, demanded that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan and his brother K Nagababu apologise for the incident. He said that the Jana Sena activists resorted to violence in the presence of Pawan Kalyan and wondered what the Jana Sena chief was doing.

The Minister also alleged that Pawan Kalyan and Nagababu have come to Visakhapatnam on the same day when the decentralisation demand was increasing in the area and the Joint Action Committee was holding a massive rally in support of three capitals and decentralisation.

He alleged that the Jana Sena had planned to disturb the Garjana rally to help the TDP and Chandrababu Naidu politically.

Pawan fixes three-day tour in Visakha from Oct 15

0

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had fixed a three-day programme in Visakhapatnam from October 15. He would be staying in the city for the three days and interact with the party leaders and activists of the Uttarandhra region.

The Jana Sena chief would also interact with the people and receive their grievances during his stay in the port city. He fixed the schedule on Monday after taking a break from his film schedule in Hyderabad.

Pawan Kalyan’s programme comes at a time when the ruling YSR Congress is sponsoring a massive procession in the city in support of the three capitals. A Joint Action Committee (JAC) was formed recently to defend the three capitals and decentralisation proposals of the government.

He would conduct Janavani programme on October 16 at Visakhapatnam and would meet people of the undivided districts of Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram. He would also interact with the people and receive their complaints against the government.

On October 17, Pawan Kalyan would meet the party activists and senior leaders from Uttarandhra. He is scheduled to focus on the allegations of land deals and destruction of Rishi Konda by the ruling party leaders.

Surprisingly, on Tuesday, he appeared on twitter again with a series of tweets on Uttarandhra particularly Visakhapatnam. He also gave a couple of counters to the decentralisation slogan of the ruling YSR Congress. He sought to advise the ruling party leaders to declare all 26 districts as States and rename Andhra Pradesh as United States of Andhra Pradesh.

In all probability, Pawan Kalyan would be hitting at the ruling YSR Congress in the next two weeks, mostly targeting them on the decentralisation and Visakhapatnam development plans of the YSR Congress.

He would also set to drag the ruling party leaders from their plans of Garjana programme scheduled for October 15. If Pawan Kalyan continues his tweets like this, it is for sure that the ruling party leaders get diverted and have to dedicate their time in countering the Jana Sena chief rather than planning the Garjna programme!

Chiranjeevi pats Pawan, but not Jana Sena

0

Megastar Chiranjeevi gave a clean chit to his younger brother Pawan Kalyan about his character. He said Pawan Kalyan is an honest person. “I know his integrity and honesty. People need such leaders,” Chiranjeevi said.

Chiranjeevi interacted with the media persons ahead of his latest film, Godfather, released in Hyderabad on Tuesday. He answered several questions related to his films, career and politics.

Chiranjeevi said that he had never strongly extended his support to Jana Sena or his brother’s politics. But, in future, if required, he might back his brother. “After all, he is my brother,” was what Chiranjeevi said.

The actor-turned-politician said that he became inactive in politics only to see if it could help his brother Pawan Kalyan to grow. “I did not want to be at another party while my younger brother is heading his own party. My silence might help him to grow,” he said.

He further said that he did not support any political party after his retirement from active politics in April 2018, when he stepped out of Rajya Sabha. He is unavailable to the Congress leaders after his retirement.

He categorically said that he would not be active in politics as speculated by some people and would concentrate more on films. “This (film) place is better and more comfortable than that (politics),” Chiranjeevi said, sending peals of laughter.

Going by this statement, Chiranjeevi is not ready to campaign for the Jana Sena in the 2024 general elections. He is also not ready to give a piece of advice to his fans ahead of the next round of general elections, either in Andhra Pradesh or in Telangana.

RK Roja dares Pawan Kalyan to contest against Jagan

1

Andhra Pradesh tourism Minister R.K. Roja has dared actor and Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan to contest the elections against Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

She alleged that Pawan Kalyan floated Jana Sena Party (JSP) for the benefit of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu.

“First you get elected as councillor and MLA and then talk about winning Assembly elections,” she told Pawan Kalyan, who claimed two days ago that JSP will sweep the next Assembly elections.

Roja, herself a former actor, launched a bitter attack on Pawan Kalyan and remarked that the film personalities were hanging their heads in shame because of his conduct.

She said people in the state were laughing at Pawan’s prediction that YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) will win only 67 seats in the 175-member Assembly in the next elections.

On JSP leader’s statement that his support to the TDP in 2014 was to safeguard the interests of the state post bifurcation, Roja alleged that the actor floated the party for the sake of TDP and its leader Chandrababu Naidu.

She alleged that Pawan Kalyan postponed his yatra because TDP general secretary and Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh also postponed his padyatra.

Pawan had campaigned for the TDP-BJP alliance in 2014 elections, but stayed away from contesting the polls. He later developed differences with the TDP and BJP and targeted them for failing to safeguard the state’s interests.

After severing ties with both TDP and BJP, Pawan’s party fought 2019 polls in alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Left parties. However, YSRCP stormed to power by winning 151 seats. JSP bagged just one seat and Pawan himself had to taste defeat from both the seats he contested.

Pawan said that the JSP contested elections in 2019 to become a strong political party in the state. “We tasted defeat in the elections, which is quite normal in politics. I am not discouraged and will not go anywhere,” he said.

Pawan, who is younger brother of megastar Chiranjeevi, once again joined hands with the BJP in 2020. He recently declared that he plans to bring all the opposition parties together to avoid division of anti-YSRCP votes in the 2024 polls.

Pawan drops his bus yatra to be started in October

0

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had announced that he would not undertake bus yatra in the state from October as announced earlier. He said he would announce the new schedule a little later.

Pawan Kalyan announced this at the party’s new legal cell meeting at the party office in Mangalagiri on Sunday. The Jana Sena chief said that instead of the bus yatra, he would undertake constituency wise reviews. The first review would start from Vijayawada West, for which Pothina Mahesh is the incharge.

Pawan Kalyan said that he had taken the decision on the advice of some seniors and intellectuals. He said that these seniors have advised him based on some secret surveys that they have done in the state in the recent past.

Pawan Kalyan said that these seniors have told him that the YSR Congress would be limited to 40 to 67 Assembly seats, while the Jana Sena’s prospects are increasing. In this scenario, the elders and the intellectuals have advised him to study the issues of the people across the state and have clear knowledge of the issues.

The Jana Sena chief said that he agreed to this advice and decided to work hard to understand the peoples’ issues. He would also have to study the party’s position, its strengths and its weaknesses, he said. He would also study where the YSR Congress is strong and would work to weaken the party.

He said he would encourage those who come to the party with the target of getting power and defeating the YSR Congress. “The Jana Sena flag has to fly high in the Assembly after the 2024 elections,” Pawan Kalyan said.

Pawan Kalyan to celebrate his birthday with Ippatam villagers

0

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had decided to celebrate his 54th birthday in the midst of his party activists and the people of Ippatam village near Mangalagiri in Guntur district. He would join the celebrations at 10.30 in the morning on September 2.

The Jana Sena chief would also hand over a cheque of Rs 50 lakh to the village panchayat during his birthday celebrations. The money was promised to the village panchayat by Pawan Kalyan in March this year during the party’s plenary.

Pawan Kalyan had announced this contribution as the villagers have offered him their agriculture fields to hold the party plenary. The villagers have allowed the party to use their agriculture fields for the event despite the damage caused to some of their standing crops.

Having promised the funds for the village in March 2022, the Jana Sena chief is giving them the cheque in September marking his birthday. The Jana Sena chief had asked the people of the Ippatam village to visit the Jana Sena party office at Mangalagiri on the day and join the celebrations and receive the cheque.

Pawan Kalyan had also asked the party activists to attend the birthday celebrations and handing over of the Rs 50 lakh cheque to the Ippatam village panchayat.

Meanwhile, the Jana Sena party leadership is making arrangements to receive the Ippatam villagers and the party workers. The party is expecting a huge turnout of the activists from across the state to greet the party chief.

Pawan Kalyan is expected to be available for the party activists in the party office from morning to the evening on September 2, the party sources said.

Nagababu dares YCP leaders to bring Jagan for debate

1

Actor and Jana Sena leader K Naga Babu on Tuesday released a self-recorded video throwing two challenges to the ruling YSR Congress leaders. He called them tasks and wanted the YSR Congress leaders to complete them. He also called the YSR Congress leaders as jokers, the characters picked up from the comic puppet shows.

The first task that Naga Babu wanted the YSR Congress leaders to do was to declare that they are not going for early polls. He alleged that the YSR Congress leaders were giving leaks to the media about the possible early polls. He wanted a clear statement on this issue and asked the YSR Congress leaders to put an end to the speculation over early polls.

The second task that the actor gave was to make Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to be ready to face Pawan Kalyan in an open debate on the development of the state. He did not mention the name of Jagan Mohan Reddy, but called him as Thanos Reddy, a name that Pawan Kalyan had given to Jagan. Thanos is the super villain character in the comic books of America.

Naga Babu said that the YSR Congress leaders were heckling Pawan Kalyan and Jana Sena every time and wanted them to prove their worth. He wanted the puppet show characters of the YSR Congress to bring their Thanos Reddy to face Pawan Kalyan in the open debate.

He said the open debate should be held in the presence of neutrals, intellectuals and media representatives. It is now to be seen how the YSR Congress leaders would react to this statement of Naga Babu as it starts going viral in the social media.

Pawan Kalyan meets tenant farmer’s family in EG district

0

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan met the bereaved family members of a tenant farmer in East Godavari district on Saturday. The Jana Sena chief reached Rajamahendravaram airport and started his tour, which was organised as part of the party’s Tenant Farmers Bharosa Yatra.

Backed by hundreds of the party activists, Pawan Kalyan went to Mandapeta, where he addressed a public meeting. He visited the family of tenant farmer, Pachimalla Shankaram who committed suicide recently. He also gave a Rs 1 lakh cheque to the bereaved family and promised to stand by them.

Speaking at the public meeting in Mandapeta, Pawan Kalyan asked the people to vote for him and his party to form the next government. He said he doesn’t know how to ask anything from the people. But wanted them to vote for him if they are convinced of his commitment to the people, to the state and to the society.

He said he had a vision for the people and the state and would certainly work hard for the development of the state and welfare of the people. He said he had been watching the people, political parties and governments ever since he started Jana Sena Party.

He said he knew about the state and the people better than anyone in today’s politics. He also said he had better commitment to the people and society than the people in power now.

“Don’t believe me blindly. Keep talking about me. Discuss about what I have been doing and telling for all these years. Vote for me and my party only if you are convinced of my worth,” Pawan Kalyan told the gathering.

“Go home safe. Think deeply and seriously about me and my party. Then make a decision. Vote for me,” Pawan Kalyan said.

He claimed that he is the only leader and Jana Sena is the only party which has commitment to the people and the state. He claimed that he had no other interests and is not corrupt till date. “I will devote all my time and energy to serve the people and develop the state,” Pawan Kalyan asserted.

Jana Sena activists hold protest near Kodali Nani’s house

0

The Jana Sena activists held a protest at former minister and YSR Congress MLA Kodali Nani in Gudivada on Friday. As part of the launch of their digital campaign on the bad roads in the state, the Jana Sena activists reached the road leading to the former minister’s residence.

The Jana Sena activists alleged that Kodali Nani had failed to fill the potholes for the road leading to his own house. The damaged road leading to the former minister’s house was not repaired by the state government in the last three years, they said.

The Jana Sena activists tried to reach the former minister’s house raising slogans against the state government and the former minister. They also blamed chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for bad roads in the state.

As they were marching towards the former minister’s house, the local police reached the scene and stopped the Jana Sena activists to move forward. The activists raised slogans against the police and the chief minister for using force against the silent protestors.

When the police tried to arrest the Jana Sena activists, they protested and questioned the police under what sections they are being arrested. They raised slogans against the police asking them to go back.

However, the police stopped the plan to arrest the activists but stopped them from moving forward towards the former minister’s house. After an hour of protest, the Jana Sena activists went back withdrawing the protest. The police heaved a sigh of relief with the Jana Sena activists withdrawing the protest and restoring peace.

Pawan yet to get invitation for Modi’s meet!

1

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is the ally of the BJP in Andhra Pradesh. Though the relationship between the two parties is not so strong they continue to be allies for all theoretical purposes, if not practical.

The Central government is sending invitations for some leaders in the state to be present at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting to be held on July 4 at Bhimavaram in West Godavari district. The Prime Minister would be participating in the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of revolutionary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju.

The Central government’s tourism and culture ministry is organising the programme along with local Kshatria Seva Sangham. Union Tourism and Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy is sending invitations to the leaders from the two Telugu states to attend the meeting.

The Minister had already sent an invitation to former Union Minister and film star K Chiranjeevi a couple of days ago. He had also sent the invitation to TDP chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu the other day. But surprisingly, the invitation has not reached the BJP’s ally Pawan Kalyan till date.

While it is not known whether Chiranjeevi and Chandrababu Naidu would attend the meeting, it is surprising to note that the Union Minister had not sent the formal invitation to the Jana Sena chief!

Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan is closely connected to Bhimavaram as he comes from the area. He was born in Mogalthuru village which is close to Bhimavaram and thus he is the local man and a celebrity besides being the political party president and BJP’s friend.

Pawan Kalyan also unsuccessfully contested from the Bhimavaram Assembly constituency in 2019 general elections. People in Andhra Pradesh are now suspicious of the BJP and Jana Sena relationship as Pawan Kalyan is yet to get the invitation.

Will he get the invite? Will the BJP take him along to be present at Modi’s meeting? These are the big questions doing rounds in the state now.

Pawan Kalyan’s mother makes a donation for farmers in distress

1

The Jana Sena Party (JSP) led by actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan has donated money to rural households whose breadwinners committed suicide due to bankruptcy. Now, Pawan Kalyan’s mother Anjanamma has come forward donating Rs 1.5 lakh for the benefit of AP farmers.

She has also given her son’s JSP an additional lakh donation for the functioning of the growing political party.

To recall, Anjanamma gave Rs 4 lakh to the JSP in 2014, garnering media attention.

She recently made headlines once more after giving another gift.

In order to help the families of tenant farmers who committed suicide, it appears that Pawan Kalyan’s family, including his brother Naga Babu, sisters Vijayadurga and Madhavi, nephews Varun Tej and Vaishnav Tej, and niece Niharika Konidela – gave the JSP Rs 35 lakh, while Sai Dharam Tej alone donated Rs 10 lakh.

Why did Pawan choose the third option?

1

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had given three options to the party rank and file a couple of weeks ago, when he addressed them at the party office in Mangalagiri. He told them that the party has three options before it ahead of the 2024 general elections.

The first option was that the Jana Sena with the BJP forming the government. The second option was to have an alliance with BJP and TDP and the three parties forming the government. The third option was to go alone in the elections and form the government all alone.

He seems to have tried to lobby with the BJP leadership to take the TDP along to defeat the ruling YSR Congress. In fact, he had offered to work for the reunion of the TDP and BJP to ensure that the anti-incumbency vote is not divided. Accordingly, he must have tried browsing the issue with the BJP leaders and failed to get a positive response.

Sources say that the BJP is not interested in defeating Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at this point of time. The top leadership of the BJP is in favour of defeating the TDP and thus taking its leaders. This would help the BJP to strengthen its base in the state and get ready for the 2029 general elections.

This strategy of the BJP must have irked Pawan Kalyan to announce that the Jana Sena would go alone in the next elections. The Jana Sena chief said that the party would have an alliance only with the people and not with any party. He made this statement in Prakasam district on Sunday to the surprise of everyone.

The other reason for Pawan Kalyan to say that there would be no alliance is to give a warning to the TDP, which has been indifferent to him since the success of the party’s Mahanadu in Ongole in the month of May. The success of the Mahanadu had changed the approach of the TDP leaders from top to bottom and most of them are confident of returning to power in the 2024 elections all alone.

This changed attitude of the TDP leaders could have been the other reason for the Jana Sena chief to make the announcement. Whatever could be the reason, it is for sure that the Jana Sena would lose heavily if it goes alone for the election. It would also prove that Pawan Kalyan had failed to bring the opposition parties together and ensure that the anti-incumbency vote is not split.
