It has been more than a decade since Manchu Vishnu tasted success. He along with his father Mohan Babu are working on their magnum opus Kannappa. Several stars and top actors from various languages are roped in to play important roles and cameos. The film has now turned out to be the talk of the industry because of the cast involved. Top actors like Prabhas, Mohanlal, Shivaraj Kumar, Nayanthara, Kriti Sanon, R Sarathkumar, Brahmanandam and others signed the film. Recently, Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar signed the film.

The latest update says that Anushka has been approached for an important role and the actress gave her nod. While Akshay Kumar plays Lord Shiva, Anushka is approached to play the role of Parvathi. Though Kangana Ranaut was considered, the team decided to go ahead with Anushka. The actress is expected to reveal her decision and an official announcement will be made soon. After wrapping up a massive schedule in New Zealand, the team is shooting for key sequences in Ramoji Film City.

Kannappa is planned on a budget of Rs 100 crores and it is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. 24 Frames Factory is producing this film. Kannappa releases next year.

During the shoot of an action episode, Manchu Vishnu suffered minor injuries and the shoot was called off. A drone crashlanded and hit Manchu Vishnu’s hand and he suffered injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and the schedule has been kept on hold.

Kannappa is the costliest film made in Manchu Vishnu’s career. Mukesh Kumar Singh is the director and Manchu Vishnu is the producer. Nupur Sanon walks out of Kannappa

Manchu Vishnu’s dream project Kannappa was launched recently and it would start rolling soon. The film was under pre-production for years and is said to be the costliest attempt in the career of Manchu Vishnu. Top actress Kriti Sanon’s sister Nupur Sanon is on board as the leading lady for the film. The beauty walked out of the project even before the shoot started. Vishnu took his official Twitter page to reveal the news. He said that Nupur walked out off the film due to scheduling conflicts.

“Sad to announce that lovely @NupurSanon had to step down from #Kannappa due to scheduling conflicts. We’ll miss her, but the hunt for our new leading lady begins! Sending Nupur our best wishes on her other commitments. Hope to work with her in the near future Exciting times ahead. Stay tuned for updates!” posted Manchu Vishnu. Nupur Sanon is the leading lady in Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao which is slated for release in October.

Srinu Vaitla no longer interested in Dhee Sequel

During the promotions of Ginna, Manchu Vishnu announced that he would soon kick-start the sequel for Dhee in the direction of Srinu Vaitla. But the close sources say that the project is shelved completely. Srinu Vaitla took his time and worked on the script for Dhee sequel. The project was announced and right before the shoot commenced, Manchu Vishnu kept the project on hold. He took up a project proposed by Kona Venkat titled Ginna. This did not go with Srinu Vaitla. It is then, he decided to work on a new project.

Srinu Vaitla along with his close friend Gopi Mohan worked on a script and narrated it to Gopichand. The mass hero gave his nod and the pre-production work commenced recently. An NRI based in USA will produce this project. An official announcement about Srinu Vaitla and Gopichand’s film will be out very soon. This clearly shows that Srinu Vaitla is no longer interested in the sequel of Dhee. But Vishnu’s announcement comes as a surprise for Tollywood circles.

After Vishnu Manchu took up the oath as the new President of MAA, he promised that he would construct a building for MAA. MAA president Vishnu Manchu backs Nikhil Siddhartha in ‘Karthikeya 2’ row

Vishnu Manchu, president of the MAA, spoke out in support of Nikhil Siddhartha, who has been having issues with the distribution of his upcoming film ‘Karthikeya 2.’ Vishnu posted on social media in support of Nikhil and his group.

The post-production procedures for the movie ‘Karthikeya 2,’ starring Nikhil Siddhartha and Anupama Parameshwaran, were finished earlier this year. But the film has been repeatedly delayed, which has left the production team extremely disappointed.

Speaking about it, Nikhil Siddhartha said that internal politics had hampered the release of his film.

After Prabhu Deva, Ganesh Acharya comes on board for Vishnu Manchu’s ‘Ginna’

After Prabhu Deva and Prem Rakshith, one of the top choreographers of India, Ganesh Acharya, too has now become a part of director Eeshaan Surya’s upcoming film ‘Ginna’, featuring Vishnu Manchu in the lead.

The star dance master, who has choreographed for many films in Bollywood, has composed a party number for the Vishnu-starrer, which is set against an engagement backdrop.

Not just crafting it, Ganesh Acharya has even shaken a leg for the number, as he has had a long association with Vishnu Manchu.

The film has three pulsating numbers that are choreographed by three dance legends making the film a visual musical extravaganza.

The song, choreographed by Ganesh, has been picturised on Vishnu Manchu, Payal Rajput and Sunny Leone along with the supporting cast – Vennala Kishore, Chammak Chandra, Raghu Babu, among others.

It is worthy to mention that Prem Rakshith, who choreographed the ‘Naatu Naatu’ song for ‘RRR’, is also part of ‘Ginna’ as he composed an energetic dance number on the lead pair. Anup Rubens is composing the music.

Talking about coming on board, Acharya says, “I am stoked to be a part of this film and working with Vishnu has been a thrill through and through. The song is steeped in energy and the steps are designed to match the thrill that is expected from a film of this scale. Vishnu is family for me. Everytime he calls me for a song, I do it. This is one of the best songs I have choreographed for Vishnu.”

For his part, Vishnu adds, “It’s such an honour to work with Ganesh Masterji. This song and this film is easily amongst the most memorable experiences of my career. I am having a blast on set everyday. We are making sure that our fans have so much to relish in the movie.”

President of the Movie Artists Association and Tollywood actor Manchu Vishnu has backed the Andhra Pradesh government, saying it did the right thing by allowing producers to raise ticket prices.

Vishnu said the decision is ultimately up to the producers to hike ticket prices or not.

He also stated that the ticket price increase benefited only a few films, and most of the movies suffered losses because of this.

It is a big debate, and industry leaders and associations need to get together and talk about it to come up with a better solution, according to the ‘Mosagallu’ actor.

Vishnu also said that the issue needed addressing, as the industry must come together for brainstorming to arrive at a middle ground regarding the hike in movie ticket prices.

MAA President Manchu Vishnu turned out to be the target after he made some unusual comments and statements on the ongoing ticket pricing issue in Andhra Pradesh. Though he met AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, there was no discussion about the ticket pricing issue. Manchu Vishnu was badly targeted after he made comments on the meeting between Megastar Chiranjeevi and YS Jagan. He called it a personal meeting and got trolled badly.

Soon after this, Megastar Chiranjeevi and other celebrities met YS Jagan and got the ticket pricing issue resolved. Manchu Vishnu who claims himself to be a relative of YS Jagan was missing in the meeting. Manchu Vishnu was once again trolled as he was missing in the meeting. In a surprise, Manchu Vishnu and Mohan Babu posed for a picture with AP Cinematography Minister Perni Nani today. “It was an absolute pleasure hosting you at our home Sri. Nani garu. Much thanks for protecting the interests of TFI” posted Manchu Vishnu. The actor was once again targeted today after the picture was posted. Manchu Vishnu was targeted multiple times in less than a month.
