Buzz: Warner Brothers to join Ramayana?

Ramayana is the prestigious and biggest ever film to be made in Indian cinema. Nitesh Tiwari is the director and the filming commenced recently. As per the ongoing buzz, the film’s producer Namit Malhotra is in talks with international studio Warner Brothers to make Ramayana a global film. The talks are going on and things have to be finalized soon. Namit Malhotra feels that the film needs an international player to take it to several countries of the globe. Warner Brothers may soon join Ramayana and distribute the film internationally.

It is unclear if Namit Malhotra wants Warner Brothers to invest in this three part franchise. The team may make an official announcement once the deal is closed. Kannada Star Yash who is playing Ravana in the film is also co-producing Ramayana. Ranbir Kapoor plays Rama while Sai Pallavi is playing Sita in this mythological drama. Ramayana is planned on a massive budget and the first part releases next year.

Big News: Yash to co-produce Ramayana

Ramayana happens to be the biggest ever film in Indian cinema and this mythological epic started shooting recently. There are a lot of speculations going on that KGF Sensation and Kannada Superstar Yash will play Ravana, the role of the lead antagonist in the film. As per the latest development, Yash will play Ravana and he will also co-produce the project. Monster Mind Creations owned by Yash will co-produce Ramayana along with Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus. An official announcement for the same was made today.

Yash will be charging a huge remuneration for his portrayal as Ravana apart from co-producing the film. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi is the leading lady and she plays Sita. Sunny Deol will essay the role of Hanuman and the first part of the film releases next year. Nitesh Tiwari is the director and massive sets are constructed for the shoot of Ramayana.

Ranbir Kapoor’s whopping Remuneration for Ramayana

Bollywood Superstar Ranbir Kapoor is riding high on the super success of Animal. He has been in talks to play Lord Rama in the mythological epic Ramayana and the shoot commenced recently. Nitesh Tiwari is the director and Sai Pallavi is locked to play Sita. As per the Bollywood reports, Ranbir Kapoor is charging Rs 75 crores as remuneration for the film. This is the highest ever paycheque for Ranbir Kapoor in his career. Ranbir Kapoor took Rs 35 crores for Animal and he had a decent share in the film’s profits.

The reports also said that Sai Pallavi is charging Rs 6 crores as remuneration for Ramayana and this is double when compared to her pay for South Indian films. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi allocated bulk dates for the project. Several massive sets are constructed in Mumbai for the shoot. The first part of Ramayana releases next year. Ranbir Kapoor’s workout video for the film went viral recently.

Two Oscar winners on board for Ramayana

Here is a big update about the technical team of Ramayana. Two Oscar winners Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman are roped in to score the music for Ramayana. This happens to be the first Indian film for Hans Zimmer, an international music director who worked on films like The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception, Man of Steel, Interstellar, Gladiator, The Lion King and Pirates of the Caribbean. AR Rahman too was happy to come on board for Ramayana. Namit Malhotra is bankrolling this mythological epic that will be made in multiple parts on huge budgets.
