After Love Story, Sekhar Kammula took a long time to pen the script of his next. Dhanush is the lead actor and King Nagarjuna will be seen in a powerful role in this untitled film. As per the update we hear, Sekhar Kammula picked up a dark genre which is quite surprising.

The film is set under the backdrop of mafia and Nagarjuna plays a mafia don in the film. Sekhar Kammula also is in plans to present this film as a proper commercial entertainer. The film deals with underworld mafia, black money and reminds us of the web series Money Heist. Sekhar Kammula also has designed high voltage action for this film. For the first time, Sekhar Kammula is touching a dark thriller and the shoot commenced recently. We have to wait to see how Sekhar Kammula will handle the new genre which he has never attempted before.

For a few days, the song ‘Saranga Dariya’ from the upcoming film ‘Love Story’ is in news. ‘Relare’ program singer Komala accused that Sekhar Kammula and Suddala Ashok Teja didn’t tell her that her song is being used by them, before releasing the promo.

Getting into the story, Saranga Dariya is an old folk song introduced to the people by Komala through the singing program Relare. However, she is not the one who penned lyrics or gave music for the song. She got it from her grandmother and introduced it to the people through the program.

After Komala speaking on this, social media users showed concern on her and started sharing the news. Finally, director Sekhar Kammula, who is helming Love Story has responded. He thanked the whole movie team along with Komala and said that they asked Komala to sing the song earlier.

“We called Komala and asked her to sing the song. But she said she cannot come as she is suffering from cold. Also, she asked for credits and money for which we said okay,” Kammula said. As Komala didn’t attend the venue to sing the song because of her health issues, Kammula said she will be given credits and money for introducing the song to them.

Sekhar Kammula is one of the most sensible directors of Telugu cinema. Most of his films ended up as money spinners and all his films are known for their clean entertainment and a class touch. Sekhar Kammula is busy with Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer Love Story. The film got delayed and is now in the final stages of shoot. Love Story is expected to release next year and Sekhar Kammula opened about his next film.

He said that he is ready with the script of his next film which is a romantic comedy. Sekhar Kammula is in talks with an established young actor for the film. He said that Asian Films who are producing Love Story will bankroll his next film too. Sekhar Kammula who is tightlipped about his upcoming movies opened up for the first time. He said that he utilized the break and got the script done for his next. Sekhar Kammula also said that he is in plans to complete the project at a fast pace.

Sensible director Sekhar Kammula did some remarkable films in his career. The female leads in his films have strong and dominant roles assigned and they are the major USP of Sekhar Kammula’s films. But, Sekhar Kammula is said to have broken the stereotypes with his next film that features Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. Chaitu plays the role of a Telangana village-based youngster who moves to Hyderabad for his career. He plays a young who leads a simple and peaceful life.

Naga Chaitanya’s characterization and the way Sekhar Kammula penned his role are the major highlights of the film. We are informed that Chaitu’s role dominates Sai Pallavi’s role in the film. Chaitu will be seen speaking Telangana diction in this breezy romantic drama. Sai Pallavi is already fluent in the Telangana accent after Fidaa. Chaitu took special classes to get the accent right. Tentatively titled Love Story, the film releases during summer 2020. The entire shoot of the film will be completed by February.

Sensible director Shekhar Kammula voiced out his opinion on sensitive issue of Uranium mining in Nallamala forests. He opposed the project and raised the concerns.

Shekhar Kammula tweeted, “Uranium mining in Nallamala forests would seriously affect the ecosystems in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. We will lose 3 lakh acres of forest land and wildlife habitat. It will destroy second largest tiger reserve in India. The Chenchus, the most primitive tribe who live in Nallamala forest will be extinct. It would deplete springs, rivulets, contaminate Krishna river with truly frightening implications. The Radon emission is proven to be cancer causing. It is catastrophic to go on with mining. The government should react and see to that we save Krishna river, Chenchus and Nallamala forests”

Fidaa director’s appeal was welcomed and appreciated by environmentalists and tribal welfare groups.
