Jagan divides work for Vijayasai, Sajjala

0

Chief Minister and ruling YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is understood to have divided the party work between his two general secretaries, V Vijayasai Reddy and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.

The key decision was taken at a recent meeting held between Vijayasai Reddy and Jagan Mohan Reddy, which is said to have been held after a long gap.

Vijayasai Reddy is not happy with the way Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy is getting attention in both the party and the government affairs these days. Right from holding talks with the government employees to the party issues, Sajjala had been playing a key role these days, while Vijayasai Reddy remained silent.

While earlier Vijayasai Reddy played the Number 2 in the party, Sajjala appeared to have taken over the post with his active participation both in the party and the government. This seems to have made Vijayasai Reddy to remain silent and unseen in the party activities.

Vijayasai Reddy did not appear even when the state government organised a global investment summit in Visakhapatnam, which was earlier the hub of his activities. While Vijayasai Reddy remained silent and was in self-imposed exile, Sajjala occupied the limelight with his active participation in the government activities and the party programmes.

Now, at the recent meeting, Jagan Mohan Reddy had reliably handed over the party work to Vijayasai Reddy reducing Sajjala to the government affairs. Vijayasai Reddy would now sit in the party Central office and interact with the leaders and handle the party affairs including internal squabbles.

On his part, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy would stay in the Chief Minister’s camp office and take care of the government affairs and speak to the media on key issues. It is said that Sajjala, henceforth would not handle the party affairs as he had been doing for all these months.

This division of work between Vijayasai Reddy and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy was done to reduce the burden of Jagan Mohan Reddy and minimise squabbles in the party. It is to be seen how this division of work helps Jagan to lead the party to the next general election.

Vijayasai fires at Chandrababu for asking last chance

2

Ruling YSR Congress Parliamentary Party leader and Rajya Sabha member, V Vijayasai Reddy, took strong exception to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu asking people for last chance. The TDP chief during his visit to Kurnool had asked the people to give him the last chance as 2024 would be his last electoral battle.

Taking a dig at the TDP chief, the YSR Congress leader questioned Chandrababu Naidu for making such a pathetic appeal to the people. He said that people have given him a chance to be the chief minister of the state for three terms and wondered what Naidu had done for the people.

Vijayasai Reddy accused Chandrababu Naidu of polluting politics with caste feeling for three decades. He said that Chandrababu Naidu had done nothing except promoting his own caste people in all sectors.

The YSR Congress leader alleged that the TDP chief was going to the people as a new beggar and pleading with them for votes. He also took strong exception to Chandrababu Naidu asking for the last chance attempting to generate sympathy for him.

Vijayasai Reddy also asserted that Chandrababu Naidu would never become the chief minister again and asserted that people have given him retirement. He sought to advise the TDP chief to retire from active politics and serve his own community.

Vijayasai Reddy accuses TDP of sponsoring violence

1

YSR Congress Parliamentary Party leader and Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy on Saturday alleged that the TDP was sponsoring violence against women in the state to defame the government.

While chief minister and YSR Congress Chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been accusing the TDP of conspiracy against his government, Sai Reddy went one step ahead and alleged that the TDP leaders are indulging in crime against women.

He alleged that TDP ch8eif Chandrababu Naidu was engaging hired goons and anti-social elements to commit crimes against women.

He said Chandrababu Naidu was desperately looking for ways to get back to power in the state. As he realised that he alone could not defeat Jagan Mohan Reddy, Naidu was on one side forging alliance with other parties while on the other side trying to disturb the state.

He said that the question paper leakage issues or the crime against women have their predators in the TDP. He said that it had become a do or die election for Chandrababu Naidu and regretted that the TDP chief was stooping down to the lowest ever.

He said the YSR Congress would retain power in the state even if the TDP tied-up with all opposition parties. “Naidu can never defeat Jagan. There is a lot of gap between the two leaders and the two parties,” Sai Reddy asserted.

He also claimed that people are in favour of Jagan Mohan Reddy and would not be carried away by the misleading campaign of the TDP and the yellow media.

YSRCP terms Union Budget ‘disappointing’

0

Andhra Pradesh’s ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has termed the Union Budget 2022-23 “disappointing”.

The party said they had expected a booster dose but it appeared like all style but no substance.

YSRCP Parliamentary Party leader V. Vijayasai Reddy said the allocation of Rs 1 lakh crore for capital expenditure seems huge but when it comes to the state’s share as per the set formula, Andhra Pradesh gets just 4.047 per cent which works out to only Rs 4,000 crore.

In case of the FRBM as well, while the set norm is not more than 3 per cent of the GSDP for states, there is no parity with respect to Centre on the borrowings. The state is still bearing the brunt of wrong decisions of the previous government, he said.

Citing the statistics, he said while the fiscal deficit of Union Budget was 9.3 per cent for 2020-21, 6.9 per cent for 2021-22, and is estimated at 6.4 per cent this year, Andhra Pradesh registered a deficit of 5.48 per cent and 3.94 percent during the past two years and yet there are restrictions on FRBM.

Reddy said that the proposed budget for 2022-23 is nearly Rs 40 lakh crore, with an increase of Rs 4.5 lakh crore than that of the last fiscal and the Country’s growth rate for 2021-22 is at 9.2 percent. He said this is much better than any other country, especially while fighting Covid. Further, he appreciated the increase in capital expenditure by 35 per cent than the previous allocations, where Rs 7.5 lakh crores has been allocated in the current budget which is 20 per cent of the budgetary allocations.

On interlinking of rivers Krishna-Godavari, Krishna-Penna, and Penna-Cauveri, he said that the state government had already interlinked Godavari-Krishna Rivers with its own funds and thus, appealed to compensate the state.

The state government has been pushing for three development projects which include a dedicated freight corridor from Kharagpur to Vijayawada, freight corridor connectivity to ports in Andhra Pradesh andthe Bhogapuram National Highway, but no announcements were made in this regard, he said.

Similarly, he mentioned that no announcements were made towards the development in healthcare sectors and no attention was paid towards research and completely ignored health insurance for the middle class people.

In regard to agriculture, he said that the Centre had completely ignored increasing the allocations of PM Kisan and failed to include tenant farmers under the scheme and also ignored paddy procurement policy and MSP for crops. The YSRCP leader stated that the shortfall in GST compensation of states was not addressed in the budget and appeals to extend the compensation period were ignored.

He welcomed an increase of the tax deduction limit of state employees to 14 percent, and duties’ reduction on shrimp production and aquaculture.

The YSRCP, however, opposed the privatisation of profit-making public sector units like the LIC, HPCL, VSP and the like. He said there was no encouraging mention of MGNREGS. The budget also has no mention of health insurance to the middle income group which forms over 56 per cent.

Sajjala to replace Vijayasai in Rajya Sabha?

0

There is a buzz in YSRCP circles that Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, the advisor to Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, is all set to replace present MP V.Vijayasai Reddy in Rajya Sabha in June this year.

Sajjala is already playing a key role in both YSRCP and YSRCP government. CM Jagan is giving more prominence to Sajjala than his cabinet ministers.

Four Rajya Sabha seats from Andhra Pradesh will fall vacant in June this year with the retirement of YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy and TDP MPs Sujana Chowdhary, TG Venkatesh and Suresh Prabhu.

Although Suresh Prabhu is a BJP leader from Maharashtra, then AP CM and TDP chief N.Chandrababu Naidu nominated him from TDP to Rajya Sabha as TDP and BJP were allies in NDA government in 2016.

Speculations are rife that Jagan is not keen to renew the Rajya Sabha membership of Vijayasai Reddy and instead wants to send Sajjala to Rajya Sabha in his place.

Sajjala already replaced Vijayasai in CM’s Tadepalli official residence. Jagan sent Vijayasai to Vizag and appointed him as party’s incharge for North Andhra districts.

Vijayasai used to handle CM Jagan’s all activities in Tadepalli residence earlier but he lost his prominence after Sajjala was brought in his place.

Going by YSRCP’s huge majority in Legislative Assembly, YSRCP winning all the four Rajya Sabha seats in June is a foregone conclusion.

Jagan wants Sajjala to gain hold at Delhi-level by becoming Rajya Sabha member and become close to BJP leaders at the national level.

Now Vijayasai is handling CM’s and YSRCP’s all activities in Delhi by meeting PM Narendra Modi, union home minister Amit Shah and other BJP leaders regularly, But speculations are rife that Jagan is not happy with the working style of Vijayasai these days and wants to replace him with Sajjala.

Jagan to end Vijaysai’s innings in North Andhra!

0

It appears that YSRCP Rajya Sabha member V.Vijayasai Reddy’s days have numbered as incharge of YSRCP for North Andhra districts.

Speculations are rife in YSRCP circles that party chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has decided to remove Vijayasai Reddy as incharge of North Andhra districts and an official announcement in this regard is expected very soon.

Jagan reportedly sent his shadow teams to North Andhra districts, especially, Visakhapatnam, to inquire into the dealings of Vijayasai and his followers following largescale complaints that Vijayasai and his henchmen were resorting to land grabbings and extortions misusing power of YSRCP government.

The shadow teams reportedly submitted a report to Jagan stating that the complaints against Vijayasai and his followers were found to be true and the party should undertake damage-control exercise at the earliest else YSRCP will have to face the consequences in 2024 Assembly polls.

The inquiry reportedly found that Vijaysai as incharge of North Andhra districts caused more damage to the party than doing good for the party.

A selfie video by a person named Hayagreeva Jagadeeshwar in which he explained about the shady dealings of Vijayasai and his henchmen has gone viral on social media platforms damaging the party’s image.

Against this backdrop, Jagan reportedly decided to remove Vijayasai as YSRCP’s incharge of North Andhra districts. He will not be assigned any other responsibility of the party and he will be just continued as Rajya Sabha members till his term ends in June 2022. Vijayasai has still five months tenure left as Rajya Sabha member and no one knows about his political fate in YSRCP after his term ends.

Why Vijayasai skipped YSRCP’s “Janaagraha Deeksha”?

0

The ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh went on state-wide protests in the name of “Janaagraha Deeksha” on Thursday (today) to protest the abusive remarks made by TDP leader K.Pattabhiram against YSRCP chief and and AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Ministers, YSRCP MLAs, MLCs, MPs and party leaders came on to the streets and took part in agitation programmes.

Strangely, YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy, who is considered as No.2 in YSRCP after Jagan, was seen nowhere in these protests.

This triggered speculations that the gap between Jagan and Vijayasai has widened.

The talk about Jagan sidelining Vijayasai is doing rounds in political circles ever since he started giving prominence to Jagan’s chief advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy both in party and government.

Jagan shifted Vijayasai from his Tadepalli camp office to Vizag and was made incharge of the party’s North Andhra affairs.

Speculations are rife that Jagan is all set to drop Vijayasai even from North Andhra affairs soon and will be replaced by another Reddy MP.

Against this backdrop, Vijayasai keeping himself away from YSRCP protests against TDP on Thursday raised political heat in YSRCP.

This is because Vijayasai leaves no opportunity to attack Chandrababu and Lokesh and his absence from YSRCP protests triggered speculations that Vijayasai’s hold in YSRCP is coming to an end.

Vijaysai hits back at rivals within party with Praja Durbar

0

As if to answer the critics about his sudden silence, YSRCP general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Vijaysai Reddy has begun “Praja Durbar,” an interface to understand and solve the problems of the common people in Visakhapatnam. Anyone can meet Vijaysai and get their problems addressed immediately through this Praja Durbar.

According to sources close to the MP, the Praja Durbar would be on for five days a week from Monday till Friday, during which anyone can meet him without any appointment. Vijaysai will directly speak to the concerned officials and resolve their issues quickly sans any bureaucratic red-tapism. Till now, Vijaysai used to listen to the problems of only those who used to meet him with a prior appointment. Now, they can meet him during the Praja Durbar without any hassles.

Political analysts see this move as an attempt to answer the critics who claimed that Vijaysai Reddy has fallen silent these days. There was also a buzz that YS Jagan had asked him to lay off Visakhapatnam in view of the opposition from the other leaders in the YSRCP. Several MLAs and other party leaders had recently complained that Vijaysai was controlling every lever of power in Vizag and that his nod was needed for even small things.

There were also reports that he had shifted his base to New Delhi these days. However, proving all these claims wrong, Vijaysai has begun the Praja Darbar. Not just that, he has also signalled his intentions to contest from Vizag in the 2024 elections.

Jagan to cut Vijayasai’s priority in YSRCP further?

0

Vijayasai Reddy was considered as No.2 leader in YSRCP ever since YS Jagan mohan Reddy launched YSRCP in 2011.

Accordingly, Jagan made him party’s general secretary as well as Rajya Sabha member.

But after YSRCP came to power in Andhra Pradssh and Jagan became Chief Minister in May 2019, Vijayasai is slowly losing his prominence in the party and government.

In his place, Jagan started giving priority to Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy in the party and government.

Vijayasai has been shifted from CM’s Tadepalli camp office to Vizag first.

Vijayasai was given responsibility of handling North Andhra affairs.

Now speculations are rife in YSRCP circles that Jagan has decided to drop Vijayasai even from North Andhra affairs soon and replace him with YSRCP Rajya Sabha member
Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy.

Jagan wants to confine Vijayasai to Delhi and deal national politics. If that happens, Vijayasai will soon fade out from AP politics.

Raghurama’s ‘legal war’ against Jagan, Vijayasai continues!

0

It’s not even a month since the CBI court in Nampally, Hyderabad dismissed the petitions filed by YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju seeking cancellation of bails granted to YSRCP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy in illegal assets cases booked by CBI and ED against them.

Raghurama filed a fresh petition in the Telangana High Court on Wednesday (today) challenging the judgement of CBI Court dismissing his petitions seeking cancellation of bails granted to Jagan and Vijayasai.

The CBI Court dismissed Raghurama’s petitions on September 15 after hearing the cases for over three months.

Raghurama filed petitions in CBI Court arguing that Jagan and Vijayasai violated bail conditions by influencing witnesses in CBI cases filed against him after becoming CM and MP respectively.

However, Jagan and Vijayasai argued that they did not violate bail conditions and Raghurama filed the petitions against them for political reasons.

The CBI Court was convinced with Jagan and Vijayasai’s arguments and dismissed Raghurama’s petitions

After waiting for three weeks, Raghurama again filed a fresh petition in the Telangana High Court challenging CBI’s judgement.

The High Court is expected to hear the case after Dasara vacation till October 17.

Is distance growing between Jagan and Vijaysai Reddy?

0

The buzz in the YSRCP circles is over YS Jagan’s Man Friday and Rajya Sabha MP V Vijayasai Reddy. There is a buzz that Vijaysai has not met YS Jagan in over one month. This would perhaps be the longest time they haven’t met in recent times. In fact, Vijaysai has not visited the Tadepalli camp office in about one month.

The political circles are wondering whether this is an indication of the growing estrangement between the two top leaders of the YSRCP. Of late, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy alone has Jagan’s eyes and ears. Key leaders like YV Subba Reddy and Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy are not meeting him very often. But, despite all these, Vijaysai has access to Jagan. But, even this appears to have changed.

Vijaysai is focusing mainly on North Andhra, especially Visakhapatnam, where Jagan is going to set up the executive capital. However, there are complaints galore from North Andhra about how Vijaysai is emerging as the top boss. Nothing in Vizag seems to move without Vijaysai’s nod. Some leaders have reportedly taken this issue to the notice of YS Jagan too.

The latest development is that YS Jagan has appointed the just-retired chief secretary, Aditya Nath Das, as the government advisor with headquarters in Delhi. This means that Das would be engaging with the officials and the various departments of the Central Government. This also implies that to a large extent, there would be an overlap of duties and functions of both Reddy and Das. Many see this as a key development. Strangely Vijaysai is unusually silent on the social media front too. His tweets are becoming rarer. So, what’s cooking?

Why VIijaya Sai Reddy is silent?

0

MP Vijaya Sai Reddy is known for his arrogant comments on opposition party leaders and he is always very active in social media. However, his silence in recent times is surprising many. Details as follows.

Vijay Sai Reddy, in the recent past, trolled Pawan using nick names and foul language. He also used derogatory words on Kapu community some times and Kapu leaders complained to police on him. However, in the last 3 days, political atmosphere in the state has been charged and intense war of words is going on between Janasena and YSRCP leaders but still he is not responding on the issue. If he were the same person as earlier, he would have attacked Pawan with the most severe words by now. But he is silent and that surprised many.

While some say he didn’t get any confirmation for extension of his Rajya Sabha which is due to expire next May, some others say he has been maintaining silence since last couple of months due to unknown reasons. It is known news that, Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju, Vijaya Sai, Pawan and others met in Delhi recently during a marriage function and didn’t hesitate to let the public know about it.

We need to wait and see whether Vijaya Sai will respond on the ongoing issue or maintain strategic silence.

Jagan, Vijayasai bail cancellation: CBI Court dismisses RRR’s petitions

0

YSRCP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his close aide, YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy got a reprieve in the CBI Court in Hyderabad on Wednesday (today).

The CBI Court dismissed the petitions filed by YSRCP rebel MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju seeking cancellation of the bail granted to them in quid pro quo cases filed by CBI in 2012.

Raju filed the petition seeking cancellation of bail to Jagan in April this year and another petition seeking cancellation of bail to Vijaysai Reddy in July this year.

The arguments in these cases were completed in July. The CBI Court reserved its judgement to August 25.

But later it was again postponed to September 25.

Soon after the CBI court dismissed his petition today, Raju stated that he would challenge the judgement in the Telangana High Court soon and made it clear that he will move even Supreme Court to get justice.

The CBI court disagreed with the arguments of the rebel MP that Jagan and Vijayasai had violated the bail conditions by influencing the witnesses after they came to power in AP in May 2019 in connection with the quid pro quo case investigated by the CBI in 2012.

The court noted that there were no complaints from anyone against Jagan and Vijayasai influencing witnesses and impacting the CBI inquiry.

Raju contended in his petition that Jagan had tried to influence several officials, who were co-accused in his case, by posting them in key positions, such as chief secretary, principal secretary and advisor to the government.

Since all the witnesses cited by the prosecution in the quid pro quo case have now become subjects of Jagan, he would influence them not to depose against him before the CBI court, Raju argued.

But the CBI court felt that Raju’s contentions appeared to be purely hypothetical and were not substantiated by any material evidence to prove that Jagan and Vijayasai had influenced any witnesses.

“Land settlements” using my name? Call toll-free numbers: Vijayasai

0

YSRCP general secretary and Rajya Sabha member V.Vijayasai Reddy urged people to complain to him if anyone indulges in ‘land settlements’ or any other illegal activities in his name.

Vijayasai said he will soon release two toll-free numbers on which people can complain against those who indulge in settlements on his name.

Vijayasai said he has no interest in money or property or any wealth adding that even the house in which he lives in Hyderabad is a rented one.

He expressed his desire to settle down permanently in Vizag or Bheemili.

He said he has plans to buy four acres in Bheemili and settle there in the futre.

Vijayasai said his only goal is the development of North Andhra region.

He stated that he was focussing on North Andhra region as per the directions of party chief and AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy and has no personal interests there.

If anyone tries to misuse my name or position to indulge in land settlements or illegal activities, I will take severe action against them and requested all to complain to him if they find such people anywhere.

Managements, Chandrababu Naidu silent on capping fees: YSRCP

0

Senior YSRCP leader and Rajya Sabha member V. Vijayasai Reddy on Tuesday said neither corporate schools nor Nara Chandrababu Naidu are opening their mouths on the issue of capping schools and intermediate fees.

“Corporate managements (of schools and junior colleges) are tight-lipped and Babu (Naidu) is keeping quiet because he is scared that people will be after him,” claimed Reddy.

He made these remarks in the light of Andhra Pradesh School Education Regulatory and Monitoring Commission (APSERMC) capping and regulating private school and junior college fee structures for the next three years.

The commission capped school fees between Rs 10,000 to Rs 18,000 per annum from nursery to the tenth standard in three categories depending on the type of location.

Similarly, it capped intermediate course fees between Rs 12,000 to Rs 20,000 per annum for various courses, including hostel and coaching fees for both schools and junior colleges.

Hostel fees have been capped between Rs 18,000 to Rs 24,000 per annum while there is a uniform Rs 20,000 cap per annum on competitive examination coaching for students in intermediate courses.

Reddy lashed out at some sections of the media for talking against fee regulation.

According to the MP, Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s education initiatives for the sake of poor students’ future are bold and exemplary.

He said many experts praised the CM’s schemes and programmes to further education, which saw a total investment of Rs 26,678 crore in the past two years.

Jagan working to get Rs 36K crore investment, 75K jobs: YSRCP

1

Senior YSRCP leader and Rajya Sabha member V. Vijayasai Reddy on Thursday said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has set a target to bring investments of Rs 36,384 crore and jobs to 75,000 people in the next couple of years.

“In the next two years, Jagan is working towards bringing Rs 36,384 crore investments and creating employment for 75,000 people,” said Vijayasai Reddy.

He noted that the Chief Minister is working towards industrially developing the southern state.

Meanwhile, he trained his guns on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu for criticizing the CM who opined in 2020 that all the people have to live with coronavirus considering its pandemic nature.

Citing the World Health Organisation (WHO), the parliamentarian shared its findings that Covid could become a disease which will always stay.

He noted that WHO made these findings after a scientific study.

Jagan, Vijaysai bail case: Judgment on Sep 15

0

The CBI Court in Hyderabad will deliver its judgment on petitions seeking cancelation of bail granted to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy on September 15.

Both these petitions were filed by YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju.

While arguments on Jagan case were completed in July, the arguments on Vijayasai case concluded on Wednesday (today).

The court stated that it will deliver judgment on both these cases on September 15.

Advocates of Jagan and Vijayasai urged court to dismiss the petitions arguing that they were politically motivated. They told court that they did not violate bail conditions.

However Raju’s lawyers argued that both were violating bail conditions and influencing witnesses in CBI cases filed against them by using their power as CM and MP.

There was tension among YSRCP leaders and cadre today that court will deliver its judgment today cancelling bail to Jagan and Jagan may land in Chanchalguda jail again and resign to CM post.

However, they heaved a sigh of relief after court adjourned the case to September 15.

Andhra govt gives permission to start Bhavanampadu port works

1

The Andhra Pradesh government has given permission to start the first phase work worth Rs 4,362 crore for the Bhavanampadu port in Srikakulam district, senior YSRCP leader and Rajya Sabha member V. Vijayasai Reddy said on Saturday.

“Permission to start first phase works worth Rs 4,362 crore has been sanctioned for Bhavanampadu port in Srikakulam,” said Reddy.

He said the port would be developed in a land parcel of 6,410 acres.

“Jagan’s government is focusing on developing the coastal region,” the MP noted.

Meanwhile, the MP highlighted that no state will feature signboards signalling exhaustion of government school admissions.

“No state will have signboards saying government school seats are over. Schools teeming with students is an example of Jagan’s revolutionary reforms.”

He alleged that during the former N. Chandrababu Naidu’s regime, there were many schools with one teacher not even having five students to teach.

Vijayasai bail case: CBI follows escape route again

0

The Central Bureau of Investigation followed escape route again on the issue of cancellation of bail granted to YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy in illegal assets cases filed against AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

While Jagan is A1 in these cases, Vijayasai is A2 in cases filed by CBI.

YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishna Raju filed separate petitions in CBI court seeking cancelation of bails granted to them and speed up investigation into these cases filed in 2012.

Vijayasai’s case came up for hearing today (Friday).

Like Jagan’s bail case earlier, the CBI did not submit its stand to court on the issue of whether it wants cancelation of bail to Vijayasai or not.

The CBI simply filed a memo in the court leaving the decision to court’s discretion whether to cancel bail or not like in Jagan’s case.

Why CBI is not seeking cancelation of bail to Jagan and Vijayasai is something which no one understands.

The CBI used to strongly oppose bail to Jagan, when he was opposition leader. After he became CM, CBI is keeping mum.

With this, the CBI Court adjourned the case to August 16 after Vijayasai’s lawyer sought more time to file counter on Raju’s petition

Vijayasai bail case: CBI Court expresses anger at YSRCP MP!

1

The CBI Court in Hyderabad on Tuesday (today) expressed anger at YSRCP MP V.Vijayasai Reddy over refusing to accept the notice sent by the petitioner in a case pertaining to cancellation of bail granted to Vijayasai Reddy.

YSRCP rebel MP K.Raghurama Krishna Raju filed a petition in the CBI Court on August 3 seeking cancellation of bail granted to Vijayasai Reddy. In his petition, Raju stated that Vijayasai is flouting bail conditions and influencing witnesses by exerting his poltical clout as Rajya Sabha member.

The petition came up for hearing in CBI Court today.

The lawyer representing Raju informed CBI Court that Vijayasai Reddy refused to accept the notice sent by petitioner. The lawyer informed the court that Vijauyasai argued that he will accept notice only if ordered by the court.

The CBI Court expressed severe anger on Vijayasai saying when CBI has accepted petitioner’s notice, how can Vijayasai refuse to accept.

The court directed CBI and Vijayasai to file counters in this case and adjourned the case to August 13.
