Vijayasai prediction came true over BJP Kanna’s removal

BJP AP former president Kanna Lakshminarayana became the enemy number two of Jagan Reddy while of course Chandrababu is number one rival. Following this, Vijayasai Reddy has long been targeting Kanna and he also gave predictions several times that Kanna’s removal was just a matter of time. It is well known, Vijayasai has got close connections with BJP Delhi leaders. PM Modi also would wish him by name even in public gatherings. Political circles are surprised now whether Vijayasai was still calling shorts in BJP national leadership going by how his prediction came true with regard to Kanna.

Everybody knows how heavily the politics of Andhra Pradesh are dictated by caste considerations. But, the BJP national leadership chooses to ignore this yet again. The party brought Kapu leader and former Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana as BJP AP President to attract Kapu voters in 2019 elections. It is true that the Kapus form a considerable chunk of the electorate in the State. But, the selection of Kanna could not enhance the electoral fortunes of the BJP in any measure.
In 2019, the BJP got just 0.84 per cent vote share as against 49.95 per cent of YSRCP and 40 per cent of TDP, 7 per cent of Jana Sena Party and 1.17 per cent of Congress party. It was evident that the BJP got lesser per cent than the Congress even though the BJP was seen as a lesser enemy than Congress by Andhras on unjust bifurcation.

It is well known that a very large segment of Kapu voters were identifying themselves with Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena. It is just reflective of sheer caste arithmetic in AP. Reddys sail with YSRCP, Kammas with TDP and Kapus with Chiranjeevi formerly and Pawan Kalyan at present.

By all means, the BJP Kapu experiment failed in 2019. Still, the party chose Kapu leader Somu Veerraju to replace Kanna. Interestingly, Veerraju hails from the Godavari districts where the dominant Kapu voters voted mostly for Jana Sena and partly for YSRCP and TDP. Veerraju could not get any vote share in his own community strongholds of East and West Godavari districts.

Vijayasai spews venom on Chandrababu: 108 effect

YCP controversial MP Vijayasai Reddy has come back into his previous form in making personal attacks on the TDP. The latest trigger is the TDP allegation that Rs. 408 Cr scam took place in the 108 ambulances contract. Chandrababu Naidu has said this contract was unlawfully given to an organisation belonging to the son-in-law of Vijayasai. Ever since, bitter and heated exchanges have been taking place between the YCP and TDP leaders.

Now, Vijayasai took to Twitter and launched an ultimate counter attack on Chandrababu Naidu. The MP is keeping a low profile amid rumours of his fall from party number two position after Visakhapatanam gas leak tragedy. Now, Vijayasai began cursing and taunting Chandrababu. He says Naidu is indulging in cheap strategies in Hyderabad in a reference to the alleged secret meeting of Sujana Chowdary, Kamineni Srinivas and Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar. The MP says Naidu is fully busy with manipulations, dark deeds, shady activities, trench-digging and manoeuvre of the institutions.

Vijayasai, in his concluding curse today, said Chandrababu has reduced himself to a mediator after burying NTR’s Telugu Desam Party and for sure, Naidu will never ever enter the corridors of power in future. Analysts say that obviously, Vijayasai was a lot frustrated. Instead of defending his son-in-law, he lost cool and spewed venom on the TDP chief.

Our social media activists are warriors, we will protect them: Vijaysai Reddy

0

Calling the YSRCP’s social media activists as warriors and soldiers, the party’s Rajya Sabha MP Vijaysai Reddy said the state government will go out of its way to defend them.

The High Court had recently issued contempt notices against the so-called social media activists for making unsavory remarks against the judiciary. The YSRCP MP declared that he is the in-charge of the social media wing of the YSRCP. Vijaysai Reddy instead of asking his party leaders and the YSRCP social media activists to exercise restraint especially when the contempt case is still in the court, he said those who have received the notices are accused and innocent until proven guilty.

Vijaysai Reddy instead of asking his party leaders to honour courts and the judiciary, he said the party leadership will be in the forefront to defend the party’s soldiers. “They have received notices only. They are accused only and should be considered as innocent until they are convicted till that time we will protect them come what may,” Vijaysai Reddy. The remarks clearly show that the YSRCP government is keen on taking the judiciary head on despite growing criticism from all quarters that the courts and the constitutional bodies were being undermined.

Call it ignorance or utter disregard for the judiciary, the YSRCP leaders have been openly critical of the court verdicts and attributing motives to the judges which amounts to contempt.

Recently, taking suo motu notice of disparaging comments made against the judiciary, the Andhra Pradesh High Court had served notices on 94 people, including Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh, former Chirala MLA Amanchi Krishna Moham, Gudivada Amarnath, senior journalists Kommeneni Srinivasa Rao and Prasad Reddy. At a press briefing, the Bapatla MP attributed motives to the court stating that TDP president and former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu was managing even courts. “Chandrababu Naidu seems to know the High Court verdict 10 minutes in advance.

Chandrababu’s call list should be examined to verify if he is involved in the judgement process.” These are not just highly objectionable remarks, but amount to contempt of court. YSRCP leader and former Chirala MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan found fault with the High Court directive to the CBI to probe the police highhandedness against Dr Sudhakar Rao. “It’s a petty case. For every petty case, a CBI investigation should not be ordered. The High Court ordering CBI probe has surprised everyone in the state,” he had said.

With Vijaysai Reddy’s assurance of full protection from the government, one can expect a heightened criticism against the judiciary.

Are you Seema Bidda? Vijayasai asks Naidu on GO 203

2

As expected, the YSRCP has begun its power politics with sole focus on votebank. Complicated MP Vijayasai Reddy is demanding Chandrababu Naidu to come out with his stand on the latest AP GO 203. The TDP boss should clearly reveal his stand on the crucial GO which is aimed at providing water supply Srisailam to the Rayalaseema, Nellore and Prakasam districts.

Vijayasai, in his usual style, attacked Naidu saying that the Opposition leader has all the time to talk about lots of issues in Zoom video conferences. But the TDP leader has not spoken a single word till now on lifting Srisailam waters from Krishna river for Seema farmers.

In his twitter message, Vijayasai asked whether Chandrababu is a Seema Bidda, son of Rayalaseema. He further asked whether Naidu belongs to Andhra Pradesh.
While Telangana government is going to Supreme Court, the rival parties in AP have started a heated exchange on politics surrounding the GO.

Unanswered questions on Vijayasai not figuring in Jagan Vizag tour

1

YSRCP committed MP Vijayasai Reddy is known for his die-hard loyalty to YSR family. Ever since Jagan Reddy came to power, he has risen to become the second most powerful leader in the party. Also, Vijayasai has become a crisis manager and himself taking care of all personal, political and administrative tasks on behalf of CM in Visakhapatnam. Every other day, in the past one year, the MP was seen attending and criss-crossing Vizag and North Coastal Andhra districts even in violation of lockdown. Such Vijayasai Reddy did not figure in the Jagan Reddy tour in Vizag city on a day when a national and internationally sensational human tragedy occurred due to toxic gas leakage in port city.

Controversy erupted as rumours spread that Jagan Reddy has asked Vijayasai Reddy to step aside and asked Minister Alla Nani to accompany in the helicopter to visit Vizag. But, the Minister later clarified that out of respect, the MP himself gave the chance to him to accompany the chief minister on the important tour. Whatever, Vijayasai not figuring in Jagan tour roused lots of political curiosity amid their direct and indirect involvement in many controversial deals in the City of Destiny in recent times. Usually, Vijayasai has been literally running administration in Vizag by holding official meetings and all in the past one year. Opposition even described him as de facto chief minister of North Coastal Andhra. Why Jagan did not take the MP with him during his Vizag visit and on such a tragic day? Many such unanswered questions remain as critics continue to give their own interpretations.

Vijaya Sai master plan to make pro-YCP man AP BJP chief?

It is known news that recently Vijaya Sai Reddy, the 2nd most powerful man in the party launched a scathing attack on Kanna Laxmi Narayana, AP BJP chief. Now there are gossips doing rounds in political circles that there’s a master plan behind this attack and that plan has been formulated by none other than Vijaya Sai Reddy himself keeping in mind future prospects of the party.

Despite the Coronavirus pandemic, the political war of words has been continuing in the state of AP. Recently Vijaya Sai Reddy made wild allegations on Kanna Laxmi Narayana that he was sold out to TDP supremo for the amount of 20 crores and that is the reason he is making allegations on Government of Andhra Pradesh. He also alleged that Kanna Laxmi Narayana and Purandhaeswari have mismanaged the party funds during the 2019 elections. Of course, Kanna retaliated these comments and reminded people about corruption cases Vijaya Sai Reddy is facing. Moreover, the allegations that Kanna Laxmi Narayana colluded with Chandra Babu Naidu couldn’t convince people as he is known for the bitter rivalry with CBN for several years. The war of words ended with a challenge between Vijaya sai Reddy and Kanna Laxmi Narayana to swear in temples as soon as the lockdown is over.

Now the rumors doing round in political circles is that Vijaya Sai had a master plan in labeling Kanna as a pro-TDP man. His main intention seems to be to see that pro-YCRSP man gets elected as AP BJP chief after Kanna’s tenure is over so that it helps YSRCP in the next election. Moreover, as Purandhareswari is also in the race for AP BJP chief post, Vijaya sai ensured that he slings some mud on her too so that the line is clear for another BJP man who is close to some YSRCP leaders. It is also rumored in political circles that another BJP leader from Telangana also wants this man to succeed Kanna Laxmi Narayana as AP BJP chief.

Probably Vijaya Sai Reddy and some top YSRCP leaders are of opinion that having someone who favors them as AP BJP chief will help them in upcoming elections to directly or indirectly tie-up with the party ruling the country. We will have to wait and see whether Vijaya Sai Reddy will be successful in executing his masterplan.

Kanna, I’m asking you again. Have you not sold yourself out to Sujana Chowdary, asks Vijaysai Reddy

0

Reacting to BJP state president Kanna Laxminarayana’s threat of filing defamation case, YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijaysai Reddy continued his tirade against the BJP leader accusing him of dancing to the tunes of the TDP and that he was making allegations against the YSRCP government without the approval of the party central leadership due to some deal struck with BJP MP Y Sujana Chowdary.

Stating that Kanna Lakshminarayana is a highly corrupt man, Vijaysai Reddy again defamed the BJP leader saying, “Kanna is sold to the TDP for Rs 20 crore and BJP MP Sujana Chowdary has acted as a broker in this deal. Kanna, I’m asking you again. Have you not sold yourself out to Sujana Chowdary?”

To Kanna’s challenge to Vijayasai Reddy to take an oath in Kanipakam temple to prove his comments, the YSRCP MP addressing a press conference said he was ready to take an oath in Kanipakam or even Tirumala temple and asked “Kanna, I’m asking you again. Have you not sold yourself out to Sujana Chowdary? Let Sujana take an oath he has not brokered a deal, let Kanna take an oath he is sold to the TDP for Rs 20 crore .”

Claiming that he worked as a chartered accountant for Sujana Chowdary, Vijaysai Reddy levelled sweeping allegations against the BJP MP saying he had defaulted on loans by floating several shell and bogus companies. “I have evidence to nail Sujana. How much money did Sujana and Purandreshwari receive from the BJP central leadership? Kanna is sold to the TDP for Rs 20 crore and BJP MP Sujana Chowdary has acted as a broker in this deal.”

Further, Vijaysai Reddy said no power can stop the state government’s plan to make Vizag as the executive capital. “The executive capital will be set up in Vizag, whatever it takes,” Vijasai Reddy asserted.

On Monday, the BJP State president slammed the Jagan administration saying the government had put the lives of crores of people in Andhra Pradesh at stake by indulging in politics of pandemic rather than addressing several problems arising out of the corona virus.

On the controversy over the cost of procuring rapid testing kits from South Korea for screening of corona cases, Kanna said the government should come clean on the conflicting versions on the pricing of the testing kits. The government showed that the cost of each kit was Rs 730 plus GST while the health ministry stated that each kit was procured at Rs 640. The YSRCP mouthpiece Sakshi newspaper in its April 9 report stated that each kit cost Rs 1,200. As a matter of fact, the Sakshi newspaper reported that the kits were being exported to other countries from MedTech Zone. The Chhattisgarh government had procured each kit for Rs 337. “Which one of this is true? Why there are so many conflicting versions on the cost of each kit. The government should come clean on this. When I tweeted on this issue, Vijaysai Reddy leveled serious allegations against me,” he pointed out.

Vijaysai Reddy ignorant of parliamentary dignity, laws that protect dignity of individuals

10

Kanna Lakshminarayana is sold to the TDP for Rs 20 crore and BJP MP Sujana Chowdary has acted as a broker in this deal – Vijaysai Reddy

Vijaysai Reddy is a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha. Members of Parliament are expected to maintain decorum and dignity in public life, such exemplary behavior is expected at least from the Elders. While Rajya Sabha represents a crucial component of the constitutional system of checks and balances, there seems to be no check and balance on the public speeches made by Rajya Sabha members. But public utterances bordering on indecency and lack of etiquette should not come as a surprise from someone who attributed partisan motives to even the Rajya Sabha chair. Yes, we are talking about Vijaysai Reddy.

Reddy was pardoned more than once for his outbursts and unparliamentary behavior in the House. In 2008, the most striking incident was when he tropped to the podium of Rajya Sabha chairman Venkaiah Naidu and attributed motives to the Chair while demanding more time to speak on non-implementation of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. “The House should condemn it and the member concerned should regret,” Minister of State Vijay Goel demanded. Vijaysai Reddy did regret.
He had to, as he lowered the dignity of the House.

Without referring to this event in Rajya Sabha, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu suggested that political parties should have a code of conduct for their MPs and MLAs to help monitor their behaviour in Parliament and state legislatures. Naidu, who is also the Rajya Sabha chairman, suggested that political parties could include such a code in their election manifestos that would help enable voters to make their judgement before voting. Vijaysai Reddy could be pardoned for his ignorance of parliamentary conduct and etiquette, being a first time MP.

It is more than two years since he lowered the dignity of the RS Chair, Vijaysai Reddy’s public utterances continue to be equally indecent and unbecoming of a parliamentarian outside the House. Well it is known fact that it is the proximity to the party leadership is the key factor to secure RS ticket rather than understanding and reflecting the public perceptions in the state, and the capacity to ‘win’ votes in a tight race.

In the recent times, Vijaysai Reddy has lowered the dignity of his post by levelling unfounded allegations and petty charges against his political detractors to divert the attention from the corona crisis in the state. He accused the BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana of dancing to the tunes of the TDP and that he was making allegations against the YSRCP government without the approval of the party central leadership due to some deal struck with BJP MP Y Sujana Chowdary. “Kanna Lakshminarayana is sold to the TDP for Rs 20 crore and BJP MP Sujana Chowdary has acted as a broker in this deal,” he said defaming Kanna. Vijaysai Reddy should understand that such utterances attract defamation laws. Section 499 of the Indian Penal Code criminalises speech that is intended to cause harm to the reputation of any person. Section 500 details the punishment for defamation, making a person liable for imprisonment up to two years (with or without a fine). Vijaysai Reddy seems to be ignorant of both parliamentary dignity as well as laws that protect the dignity of individuals.

In the same press meet on Sunday, he made personal remarks against Chandrababu Naidu that he lacks family values instead of giving clarity on TDP president’s concern that the state isn’t testing enough and that the Jagan administration was under-reporting corona cases.

Vijaysai Reddy should be using his time in meeting doctors in hospitals, help the health sector employees, oversee relief works, alleviate the suffering of the homeless and those affected by the corona virus, support MSMEs and construction workers. Instead, he is wasting precious time on drafting letters to DGP Gautam Sawang to trace the IP address to nail the “culprit” behind the “forged and fake” letter. In other times, he tweets silly vitriolic comments against political detractors to score some brownie points. Sadly, he doesn’t seem to look at the very people who voted Jagan to power; he doesn’t seem to care for the people in crisis. The political dispensation owes it to the people. The kind of vitriol and vendetta politics on display is not going to get Jagan and his colleagues anywhere. For the good of the people of state, politicians especially from the ruling side should rise above their name-calling, swallow their differences and put up a unified fight against the pandemic. The CM’s daily press briefings and the press meets of his colleagues like Vijaysai Reddy on corona should not be propaganda sessions. The briefings should be transparent on corona situation in state and should not end up as “I scratch your back, you scratch mine” sessions.

Vijayasai angered a lot, firing at TDP from DGP shoulders

0

When all chances are exhausted politically, the ruling YSRCP leaders finally approach the police and make complaints against the opponents. No sooner they make the complaints, the police dutifully swing into action in all ways possible. Now, after PM announced lockdown extension, the ruling party leaders fell silent totally in the past 20 hours. Whereas, the TDP leaders became eloquent in this criticism against CM Jagan Reddy and Ministers. Amid all this, MP Vijayasai Reddy tried to salvage the situation to some extent with his pro-Jagan tweets. But, as usual, there was more humiliating attack against Jagan and Vijayasai in social media in the lockdown issue.

Now, Vijayasai is not in a position to turn to YSRCP social media for help as that is also not able to give strong counters to TDP onslaught. All this is happening at a time when PM Modi had a telephone conversation with Chandrababu Naidu though they were bitter political adversaries in 2019 elections. Obviously, Vijayasai took to the last resort. He promptly complained to DGP Gautam Sawang for taking action against all those who put indecent posts maligning his character and public image. He has given web links and addresses. On the other hand, TDP believes it will get justice in courts.

Jagan, Vijayasai ordered to appear before CBI Court

0

The CBI Special Court expressed its disappointment at the continued violation of the court orders regarding personal appearance of AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his Co-accused Number 2 Vijayasai Reddy. Both the accused did not appear before the court hearing today also. It may be recalled that Jagan Reddy has appeared before the court prior to the election. But after becoming CM, Jagan Reddy has been avoiding personally appearing before the court on some pretext or the other. Today also, CM visited West Godavari district to address an official public meeting there.

When Jagan lawyers told the court about the prior engagements of CM Jagan, the judges took strong objection. They asked how long Jagan goes on evading court appearances in such massive illegal assets cases. Many top people are attending court hearings in different cases in the country but here something is wrong with Jagan Reddy. The court frankly told the Jagan advocates not to resort to the contempt of the court next time. The judges ordered Number 1 Jagan Reddy and Number 2 Vijayasai Reddy to compulsorily appear before the court hearing on January 10. The court clarified that there would be no question of giving exemption from personal appearance for Jagan Reddy any more.

Vijayasai no more Number 2 – Jagan ‘Only One’

0

He doesn’t listen to his own experienced Advisors. He doesn’t care about IAS officers. His social justice Deputy Chief Ministers are nowhere seen in power corridors. His party Ministers and MLAs are afraid to go near to advise him. Despite all this, YCP leaders had a little hope that party’s Number 2 leader Vijayasai Reddy would some day take initiative and change Number 1’s attitude for better. But even this hope was gone after recent events within the ruling YSR Congress Party.

In the beginning, CM Jaganmohan Reddy gave utmost importance and made Vijayasai AP Government’s Special Representative in Delhi. Besides, the YCP MP was given free hand to comment on behalf of YCP and AP and to attack Opposition all the time. Some Ministers and MLAs have asked Vijayasai recently to tell Jagan to soften his aggressive policies towards sand, real estate, opposition parties, etc.

Consequently, Vijayasai picked up some courage and raised these issues with Jagan, whose immediate reply made YCP MP fall silent permanently. Jagan just told Vijayasai not to interfere in AP affairs. He asked the MP to mind the responsibilities given to him in national capital and nothing beyond. This one incident led to a new realisation among Ministers and MLAs that there are no Number 2 or Number 3 leaders in their party. Jagan is the Only One with whole and sole power. He is Number 1 and Number 2 and so on. YCP leaders are cursing their own fate and the brute majority that people have given to Jagan.

Vijayasai fires on Chandrababu buffalo comment

1

YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy has asked TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu to remember his past history instead of passing objectionable comments on the Jaganmohan Reddy government. The MP said that Chandrababu Circar badly misused the AP treasury which was like a milk giving cow. Vijayasai recalled how Prime Minister Modi himself accused the TDP leaders of having used Polavaram project as an ATM machine to draw illegal funds from the contractors.

The YCP MP was greatly alarmed over Naidu’s comment describing Jagan Circar as a kicking he-buffalo which doesn’t give milk. Vijayasai warned Naidu to wait and see how the YCP regime would unearth his wrong doings and give him exemplary punishment.

Vijayasai said mockingly that Naidu has sent his 4 MPs into the BJP only to escape from his past cases. But still Naidu is afraid of his future. The YCP MP said that YSR himself got all clearances and prepared everything for Polavaram which should have been completed in just 3 years time. But Naidu wasted all the time and used the project like an ATM.

Vijayasai unlimited sarcasm targetting Amaravati

0

YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy has become famous by his sarcastic tweets against TDP, Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh. Now, his wit and sarcasm has extended to even the noble task of building Amaravati Capital City. Vijayasai has indicated that Rs. 500 Cr allocated for Amaravati would be more than enough. He made fun of Chandrababu’s objection to such meagre allocation. Naidu has earlier jokingly asked whether an small portion of gigantic capital city works could be completed with such small allocation.

By itself, Rs. 500 Cr budget for Amaravati is nothing but trivialising and insulting the aspirations of Andhra people for having their own Capital City with a better future like Hyderabad, Bangalore, etc. Over Rs. 35,000 Cr worth works were taking place in Amaravati towards the end of TDP rule. But now just Rs. 500 Cr is allocated and this would not be enough to clear outstanding amounts in respect of even one tower there.

Amaravati is visualised as future global city with well laid plans for multi-storeyed complexes, townships, roads, greenery, etc. The YCP government may not have Capital as its priority but it should have at least realised the need for meeting basic requirements of Amaravati works. Analysts say that Jagan’s anti-Amaravati stance will only boomerang on him. He cannot go on reversing that Chandrabau Naidu has built. Totally neglecting Amaravati is not as easy as demolishing Praja Vedika and leaving it there as a symbol of satisfied ego and pleased arrogance.

Vijayasai Reddy named YSRCP Parliamentary Party leader

0

He also nominated Peddireddy Midhun Reddy as YSRCP leader in Lok Sabha and Margani Bharat Ram as the party whip.

Jagan Reddy informed this in a letter to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, requesting him to officially recognise these appointments, party sources said on Wednesday.

A key aide of Jagan Reddy, Vijayasai Reddy is a member of the Rajya Sabha. There were speculations that he may be inducted into the state cabinet. However, the YSRCP chief named him as the Parliamentary Party leader.

Midhun Reddy was re-elected to the Lok Sabha from Rajampet while Bharat Ram was elected for the first time to the Lok Sabha from Rajahmundry.

YSRCP won 22 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh. The party stormed to power in the state as well, winning 151 seats in the 175-member Assembly.
