Boyapati picks up Balakrishna over Akhil
Nandamuri Balakrishna during the pre-release event of NTR biopic announced that he would work with Boyapati Sreenu in his next and the film would be produced on his home banner NBK Films. But in a surprising move, Balayya signed a film for KS Ravikumar and the film will head for shoot next month. Boyapati is left in waiting mode with this announcement and soon speculations started that Boyapati will work with a young hero in this while instead of sitting idle. Boyapati earlier penned a script for Akhil and the bound script is ready.
Despite of being offered Rs 15 crores as remuneration after the disaster of Vinaya Vidheya Rama, Boyapati is not in a hurry and he wanted ample time to work on the script of Balakrishna’s film. He decided to wait for the arrival of Balakrishna instead of completing one more project in a hurry. Boyapati is one director who is well aware of the expectations Nandamuri fans keep for their combo. A wise move from Boyapati.
Powerful title registered for NBK – KS Ravi Kumar
Nandamuri Balakrishna and director KS Ravi Kumar are reuniting for the second time after Jai Simha. The formal launch of this film is expected to be held very soon and the makers are currently busy finalising the cast and crew. As reported earlier by Telugu360, Balakrishna will be seen as a dishonest cop in this action entertainer. Now, the latest buzz is that the production house has registered Ruler title in film chamber. Speculations are rife that C. Kalyan has registered it for Balakrishna’s film as it suits his characterisation perfectly. The shooting formalities will be wrapped up in less than four months and the film is likely to hit the screens for Dusheera.
Jagapathi Babu turns antagonist for NBK
Veteran actor Jagapathi Babu started new innings in his career as an antagonist with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Legend. The film stood as a milestone in Jagapathi Babu’s career and it was a gamechanger. Now, the actor is all set to lock horns once again with Balakrishna in his upcoming film that will be directed by KS Ravikumar. C Kalyan is the producer and the film will have its official launch on May 17th.
The regular shoot will commence from June and Jagapathi Babu has a powerful role assigned. The actor loved the role and signed the film immediately. Chiranthan Bhatt will compose the music for this untitled film and the makers are busy finalizing the female leads currently. This untitled film will be completed in packed schedules and will release during the end of this year.
Boyapati irked with Balakrishna’s decision
Action entertainers specialist filmmaker Boyapati Srinu was supposed to direct Nandamuri Balakrishna in his next film. But, the much awaited project has been delayed due to several reasons and Balakrishna has decided to team up with Jai Simha director KS Ravi Kumar. This announcement has come as a shocker to Boyapati Srinu because he has been waiting with a bound script to take the film on to sets in June.
Sources revealed that Boyapati is very much disappointed with Balakrishna’s decision. It is learnt that he is now planning to do another film with a young hero. He wants to complete the film in short time and then move on to Balakrishna’s film. More details about this new film will be announced in the next month.
NBK – Boyapati film – Here why the project is delayed
Nandamuri Balakrishna was supposed to reunite with Simha and Legend director Boyapati Srinu for the third time immediately after wrapping up NTR biopic. However, the project was delayed due to several reasons. It was speculated that the regular shooting will commence in Summer this year. Surprisingly, NBK has announced his next film with Jai Simha director KS Ravi Kumar. This came as a huge shock to NBK – Boyapati combo fans.
Telugu360 exclusively learnt the reasons for the delay of this highly anticipated project. Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu planned to do a political thriller and release it before elections. But, due to the delay in completing NTR biopic, Boyapati’s plan didn’t work. As elections are done and dusted, Balakrishna asked Boyapati to come up with a new script. The Vinaya Vidheya Rama director took his own time and came up another script and it needed Balakrishna to lose weight. It would take another two months for Balakrishna to transform into a new look.
Also, he promised to do a film for producer C. Kalyan after Paisa Vasool. So, he wanted to fulfill that commitment first before moving on to Boyapati’s film. KS Ravi Kumar recently narrated a strong commercial script and agreed to complete it in quick time. So, Balakrishna decided to go with Jai Simha director and put Boyapati Srinu’s film on hold.
Will Muslims vote for Balakrishna? – Hindupuram segment
One of the TDP’s undoubted strongholds is Hindupuram assembly segment in Anantapur district. The TDP’s main strength is the predominant BC population who comprise nearly 50 per cent of the voters. The Muslims are the second largest vote bank in the segment.
As of now, the Muslims are in general favouring the TDP as it’s fighting against the BJP. The Muslim votes are crucial for the YCP to give some fight to the TDP. This is why Jagan gave the party ticket to a retired Muslim police officer Iqbal. Will this tactic help the YCP? The TDP leaders are trying to get the support of all the Muslim voters to a maximum extent. YCP’s secret deal with BJP is proving to be another advantage for TDP.
The fans of TDP candidate Balakrishna are confident of certain victory going by the election arithmetic. Balakrishna’s film glamour and the fact of his being NTR’s son will remain major strengths. Adding to this, the Chandrababu government’s Pasupu Kumkuma and pensions hike are giving fair chances to Balakrishna. The TDP’s BC vote bank has remained largely undisturbed. There’s a little dissatisfaction over Balakrishna not directly available in the segment but it is not expected to give major problems. The YCP’s efforts to split the BC vote bank may not have a big impact.
Allu Arjun and Balakrishna to end the speculations soon
Stylish star Allu Arjun and ace director Trivikram Srinivas are reuniting for the third time and the big budget entertainer is going to be produced jointly by Geetha Arts and Haarika and Haasine Creations. The project was announced long back, but the regular shooting is yet to commence. The delay has given way for many speculations regarding the script and other issues. All these likely to end soon as the formal launch of this much awaited film will take place on the 27th of this month in Hyderabad. Pooja Hegde is in talks to play the film’s leading lady.
On the other side, Nandamuri Balakrishna is also going to launch his next project. It is a known fact that NBK and Boyapati Srinu are going to join hands for an action drama. Recently, there have been numerous speculations that the project has been put on hold due to budget and script issues. However, it is now learnt that the formal launch of this film will happen on the 28th of this month. The cast and crew details will be out shortly.
Balakrishna to contest again from Hindupur
Hyderabad: Telugu cine hero and Hindupur sitting MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna will again contest from his home constituency. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has finalised nine candidates for Assembly constituencies out of 14 MLA seats in Anantapur, while decision on five constituencies is put on hold. Naidu has gave a green signal to an appeal made by JC Diwakar Reddy to field his son Pawankumar Reddy in Anantapur Lok Sabha constituency. Tadipatri MLA JC Prabhakar Reddy’s request has also been approved by Naidu as he okayed Assembly ticket to his son Asmith Reddy from same constituency.
TDP Ministers — Paritala Sunita and Kaluva Srinivasulu– have retained tickets for Rapthadu and Rayadurgam constituencies respectively.
The TDP chief has accommodated sitting MLAs as many as possible and considered the feedback and opinions of the sittings. District in-charge Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao and minister Jawahar reviewed the Assembly constituency-wise situation. Since TDP MLA Balakrishna is on Hindupur tour, the review meeting didn’t discuss on this. Sitting MLAs have unanimously been approved for the next election. However, remaining seven constituencies, party cadres and local leaders raised voice against few candidates.
SR Constructions chief Amilineni Surendra babu has requested Naidu to consider his name for Puttaparti Assembly constituency. Madhusudhan Gupta, former MLA from Gunthakal, has joined TDP in the presence of Naidu.
NBK steps down as Producer
Nandamuri Balakrishna who is a firm believer of sentiments, astrology kept things aside for the prestigious NTR’s biopic. The film released in two installments which ended up as duds. Now with the film fetching negative results, Balakrishna decided to step down as a producer for his upcoming project which is announced before the release of NTR. Balakrishna was warned not to test his luck as a producer years ago but he wanted to produce his father’s biopic and kept his sentiments aside.
He is now reconsidering his decision and is in plans to bring a noted producer on to the board for his next film that will be directed by Boyapati Sreenu. The film is expected to roll from June and will release during Sankranthi next year. Boyapati Sreenu is busy with the script work currently and an official announcement about the project is awaited. Balakrishna is on a break and is preparing for the AP Assembly polls that will commence during April this year.
Buyers upset with greedy Balayya
Nandamuri Balakrishna said that he took things prestigious for the biopic of his father NTR. Though the film was planned in a single part, it witnessed several changes as time progressed. The movie is made in two parts and the first part NTR – Kathanayakudu was sold for huge prices for hardcore NTR, TDP fans and most of the buyers hail from a specific caste. Leaving everyone in surprise, the film under performed and left the buyers in a hefty loss of Rs 50 crores. The makers promised to offer second installment NTR – Mahanayakudu if the first part ends up in losses.
Now the makers decided to return back 25% of the losses of NTR – Kathanayakudu to the buyers and are quoting new rates to release NTR – Mahanayakudu which is a huge shock for buyers. Balayya and his team made huge profits with the theatrical rights, satellite and digital deals. With buyers already losing Rs 50 crores, the team of NTR is not even bothered about the buyers and opened business for the second installment.
Most of the distributors are not ready for the new deal. They are in plans to take the 25% refund and watch what will happen with NTR – Mahanayakudu. A top distributor said that the film may struggle to get decent opening numbers and it would be a huge risk for the buyers to pay hefty amounts for NTR – Mahanayakudu. Though it is not clear, who is behind this decision, Balakrishna is widely criticized for the step. NTR – Mahanayakudu releases on February 22nd all over.
Boyapati Sreenu quoting huge budget for NBK
Tollywood’s mass director Boyapati Sreenu received a shock with Vinaya Vidheya Rama which bombed at the Sankranthi box-office. Boyapati Sreenu has been criticized for his work and the makers claimed that he spent more than the required for the project. The film is said to be made on a budget of Rs 100 crores. Now Boyapati Sreenu is all set with his next that features Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role. The top director is quoting Rs 70 crores budget for this prestigious project.
Boyapati and Balayya are teaming up for the third time after two blockbusters Simha and Legend. The combo carries enough craze but none of NBK’s films made Rs 70 crores at the Tollywood box-office. His recent film NTR – Kathanayakudu ended up collecting Rs 20 crores which is poor. With Boyapati and Balakrishna struggling for success, Rs 70 crores budget is a huge risk. The script work of the film is currently on and Balakrishna is yet to take the final call on the film’s budget.
We have to wait to see if Balakrishna approves the budget or if he asks Boyapati to cut down the budget for the project.
NBK: The only hope for Boyapati Sreenu
Boyapati Sreenu is undoubtedly one of the best mass helmers of Telugu cinema. With directors like VV Vinayak and Puri Jagannadh vanished, Boyapati has been carrying the legacy and is entertaining the masses. His recent outing Vinaya Vidheya Rama left the audience in shock and Boyapati is criticized for his bad work. He has been trolled across social media for the content in the second half of the film. Now with the drift with Charan and Danayya in Vinaya Vidheya Rama row, Boyapati will find it tough to convince and work with Mega heroes in the future.
Industry circles reveal that Boyapati and NTR will never work together. Mahesh – Boyapati film is speculated from years but this seems to be a dream. Mahesh too is lined up with a bunch of films and their combo may not be possible soon. For top director like Boyapati, he may not step down and work with tire two actors restricting himself in many ways.
Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati share a special bond and the duo is teaming up soon. Balakrishna who is not bothered about the film’s results is preparing himself for the project. Balakrishna and his project is the only hope for Boyapati. The mass director should bounce back with this project, else it will be real tough to find the lead actor for his next Telugu film.
KA Paul fields lady anchor to contest against Bala Krishna
KA Paul, evangelist turned politican, announced first MLA candidate from his party. Popular Tollywood anchor Swetha Reddy will be contesting from Praja Shanti party, floated by KA Paul in 2009. She will be contesting from Hindupur, as announced by KA Paul. As everyone knows, currently, hero Nandamuri Krishna is representing that constituency. She will have to fight with Bala Krishna, in case he contests agains from the same constituency.
KA Paul told that his party is above caste, creed, and religion. He told, the party has already recruited 50,000 coordinators across the state. If each coordinator joins 1000 people into the party, our party will sweep the elections, added KA Paul. He also announced another lady Laxmi tulasi to contest from Amalapuram. KA Paul also alleged that CM Chandra Babu Naidu and Jagan are doing conspiracy against him and planning to eliminate him. KA Paul told that he has the capability to bring 1 lakh crore each year as donation to the state and then he wants to spend 100 crores on each constituency and develop them.
Needless to say, KA Paul’s statements are looking very childish and high school student may write much better essay on the topic ‘if I were CM of the state..’
Boyapati’s demand for high budget continues.. !
Boyapati Sreenu is undoubtedly one of the best mass directors of Telugu cinema. It is a huge surprise and unfortunate as the audience have been left in deep shock with the content of ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ which ended up as a dud. The ace director announced that he would direct Nandamuri Balakrishna in his next and the film will start rolling soon on NBK Films banner.
As per the news, Boayapati is all set with a powerful mass entertainer and said to have quoted Rs 70 crores budget for the project. With his recent film,Boyapati was reportedly spent close to 100 crores as budget. Now with Balakrishna who doesn’t have 70 crores market, Boyapati is quoting 70 crores as budget.
Balakrishna is yet to listen the dotted line and finalize the plot but Boyapati is keen on a massive budget project. We have to wait to see if he gets a nod from Nandamuri actor or if he will have to hunt for a lead actor for his next after a debacle like Vinaya Vidheya Rama.
