Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan is maintaining a low-profile on major burning issues like Polavaram and Amaravati. Obviously, these are issues requiring Senani to take a balanced political viewpoint considering his alliance with the BJP. But, in respect of the women’s issues, he is free to express his opinions. He already condemned the ghastly incident of 17 year old Varalakshmi who was found dead with her throat slit in Vizag.

Now, Senani has reacted strongly and bitterly to the molestation of a six year old girl in Chittoor district. Varalakshmi, who had a bright future, was killed by the Vizag maniac without any fear of law. Before any action was taken in that case, the six-year-old girl was molested by mindless miscreants at Royalpeta in Peddapanjani mandal in Chittoor district.

Pawan asked why non-stop atrocities were taking place against girls and women. The Disha, Nirbhaya and such serious laws were there but they were of no use to prevent these incidents.

Senani deplored that in just six months this year, over 584 atrocities have taken place against girls. The Government should explain why this was happening.

Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan came down heavily on the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP government for its inept handling of the flood situation in Andhra Pradesh which led to the loss of life and property.

The actor-turned-politician said the rainfall and floods caused extensive damage to lives and property in several districts of the State, but Andhra Pradesh had so far failed to assess the damage to the loss of lives and properties. The Jana Sena Party president further stated that flood victims are yet to receive any compensation from the state government.

“The government has so far not been able to provide funds to victims for rebuilding destroyed or damaged houses and for compensating agricultural losses. This has been delayed considerably. The government even failed to provide compensation to the victims of last year’s floods. Thousands of people are displaced. The most important thing was to rescue the people and place them at safest locations, but the government has failed to adopt a concrete roadmap to rescue the flood victims and in providing relief and rehabilitation packages,” Pawan Kalyan said.

He said several Jana Sena Party activists visited flood-hit areas in Krishna, Guntur, East and West Godavari districts and assessed the loss to agricultural crops. “As per our preliminary estimates, crops in 2.71 lakh acres were completely destroyed, while the actual loss is much higher,” Pawan Kalyan stated.

He demanded a concrete roadmap for addressing problems of the farmers and also to expedite the relief and rehabilitation work.

What’s the use of passing the Disha Act when it can’t punish the perpetrators of atrocities on women and girls? What has the YCP Government achieved when it can’t check the rising attacks and atrocities?

Jana Senani has made this direct attack on the Jaganmohan Reddy government following the growing public backlash on continuing atrocities on women. Senani said that he was greatly pained at the ghastly murder of Divya Tejaswini who fell victim to the brutal acts of a maniac. He expressed strong resentment over the Government and the police for not taking proper action.

Senani referred to the molestation attack on a girl by an evangelist in Tirupati. The Government has not filed any case immediately after the incident. Only when the family members complained in the Spandana programme did the official machinery make some effort. The police action is not satisfactory even in respect of the molestation cases.

Pawan has expressed his dissatisfaction against the Jagan Reddy government for not checking the atrocities and murders. His comments come amid the Opposition’s allegations against the ruling party activists for misusing the official machinery.

Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan expressed deep shock over the death of Chinna Laazar who fought on behalf of the farmers in the Amaravati Capital agitation. He recalled his 2018 visit to Laazar’s native village of Uddandarayunipalem where they celebrated Ugadi along with all others.

Senani gave his full support yet again to the Capital city stir in Amaravati. He said that a true tribute to farmers like Chinna Laazar would be to continue the agitation till Amaravati demand was achieved.

Pawan Kalyan praised the Dalit and tenant farmers for actively expressing their aspirations for the sake of winning their Amaravati Capital back. Chinna Laazar also fought strongly for the rights of the assigned farmers in the Capital city area. He gave voice to the demands of the poor people in island villages and also Dalit families there.

Right from the beginning, Pawan has been categorically supporting the Amaravati agitators and farmers. The Jana Sena Party led by Mr. Pawan Kalyan has also filed its affidavit in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh expressing total opposition to the shifting of Executive Capital out of Amaravati. Senani’s ally BJP is yet to take a final decision on its Amaravati stand before filing its affidavit in the court.

The YCP has made fun of its own rebel MP Raghu Rama Raju for asking for the national level Z security. Now, rumours have spread that a similar security is being provided to Pawan Kalyan with the Central commandos. They say that the BJP Delhi leadership is wanting to make use of Jana Senani’s services in the local body elections in Telangana soon. Also, he may be requested to take part in election rallies and campaign for the BJP in some States where elections will be held in the coming months.

Two versions are coming out on this count. The Jana Sena leaders say that these rumours have no basis. As on today, there is no such proposal for giving 22 men Central security to Pawan. Officially, there is no information yet.

But, some leaders say that it is for certain that the Modi-Shah are going to make use of Senani’s charisma and stardom in elections in several other States. Already, the BJP Telangana leadership is putting lots of hopes on Pawan’s support during election campaign. In that case, some sort of increased security will certainly be provided to Senani. It is too early to say that he may be given Z security with commandos of National Security Guards.

Meanwhile, some leaders say that the YCP social media activists might be behind the false rumours on Pawan security. They have badly targetted Raghu Rama Raju’s security a few weeks ago. Interestingly, leaders’ security matters are also becoming sensationalised in order to embarrass rivals on social media.
