Pooja Hegde took her time and she emerged as one of the top actresses of Telugu cinema. She is lined up with Telugu biggies and is also busy with Bollywood projects. Pooja Hegde as of now is shooting for Prabhas’ upcoming project that is under shoot. The latest update is that Pooja Hegde is roped in to play the female lead in Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan’s upcoming movie.

The film is titled Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Directed by Farhad Samji, the film is aimed for Eid 2021 release. Pooja Hegde recently gave her nod and the makers made an official announcement about the same. This is the first time Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde are working together. Pooja Hegde is also considered for couple of Telugu biggies that are in discussion stages. She is also shooting for Akhil’s Most Eligible Bachelor which is slated for summer release.

Actress Pooja Hegde has made a donation of Rs 2.5 lakhs for two children suffering from cancer.

Recently, she attended an event hosted by, CURE Foundation. The event was held to announce the 6th Biennial ‘Cancer Crusaders Invitation Cup’, a world-class golf tournament which will be held as a fund-raiser and awareness initiative to support the child cancer patient.

“I don’t think this is something that only actors or celebrities should do. It has to come from within. It is important to create the habit and culture of giving back to society. You never know who you may inspire in the process.

“I just wanted to do my bit, children are resilient and most children with cancer can be treated and not having money should not be something that stops that. Hoping to do more soon. I’ve always believed in doing my bit and giving back to society as much as possible. A small act of love can go a long way. We should do as much as we can,” Pooja said.

A On the work front, Pooja will be next seen opposite Prabhas in a romantic film.

Actress Pooja Hedge has opened up on the devastating wildfires in Australia saying that it makes her really sad when she see images of the disaster. She added that everyone should pitch in with donations for those affected by the tragedy.

“I just think we need to be a little more careful. Whatever is happening in Australia is devastating. When I see the images coming from there, it makes me really sad. The animals are just suffering right now. Whatever can be done, should be done in the form of donations,” said Pooja, on Australia’s raging bushfire crisis, which has been one of the worst in history. The fire has killed 24 people, and charred over six million hectares of land, reduced to ashes hundreds of homes and pushed millions of animals towards extinction.

Pooja added that people need to develop the habit of giving donations. “I believe charity starts at home, so we need to take care of the animals in our country. There are so many animal extinctions, and we should do our bit to support them, and help them as much as possible. We often think we don’t have money and we will donate once we earn enough. But I feel even if everyone starts donating Rs 20 or 50, then it will help the cause to a large extent,” she said, while interacting with the media at a donation event hosted by the pet care brand Drools.

Pooja also shared her views on stray animals being beaten up by people on public places: “Violence in general is something I do not support, whether it is towards animals or humans. If someone were to do the same to the ones who beat up animals, would they like it? Why do something you wouldn’t like being done to yourself?”

Pooja will next be seen in the Telugu action-drama film “Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo” along with Allu Arjun and Tabu. The film is scheduled to release on January 12, coinciding with Sankranthi.

At present, Pooja Hegde is the busiest actress in Telugu cinema. With big directors and stars who are after her to sign her in their new projects, she is struggling to adjust the dates. After the success of Bollywood blockbuster ‘Housefull 4’, she is getting new offers from Hindi makers as well and she is now holding discussions with a couple of Bollywood corporate companies for new assignments. If reports are to be believed, she might another movie with Akshay Kumar.

But her main focus will remain the Telugu film industry. She has Prabhas starrer ‘Jaan’ to complete the shooting as well as Akhil’s untitled project, which is being directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. Prabhas’s ‘Jaan’ will commence the shoot this month-end.

Pooja has almost completed her work of ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’. Only a few scenes and a song are left to be canned. She will now have to switch between the shooting of Prabhas’s period movie and Akhil’s contemporary love story. These two movies will be her main focus in 2020.

Pooja Hegde is rising to the top position in Tollywood with each new release. With a couple of big-ticket movies in her account, she is already enjoying the status of a top-range actress. But the same cannot be said to her Bollywood career.

Amidst a busy work schedule, actress Pooja Hegde, who turned a year older on Sunday, has taken a day off to celebrate her birthday with her near and dear ones.

Sharing her birthday plans, Pooja said: “2019 has been a beautiful year for me, but it has also been busy. I’ve been juggling four films in total between Mumbai and Hyderabad. Since I’ve been working throughout, I have taken a day off for my birthday, which I will be celebrating with my closed friends and family.

“I’m looking forward to this, just a little less than I am looking forward to sharing ‘Housefull 4’ with the audience. I had a blast shooting for it!”

Wishing Pooja a happy birthday, her forthcoming film “Housefull 4” co-stars Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon and Kriti Kharbanda took to social media and penned heartfelt messages for her.

“Dearest Pooja, happy birthday. May you have a fabulous day and wishing you Housefull shows for your upcoming film (Works for me too),” Riteish wrote on Instagram.

Kriti Sanon wished Pooja “Housefull of happiness and success”.

“Have the bestest year ahead!! lots of love,” she added.

“Housefull 4” is scheduled to release on October 25.
