Buzz: Prabhas’ Jackpot for Spirit

0

Pan-Indian star Prabhas is busy with multiple projects. The actor hiked his fee after the release of Baahubali and he is one of the highest paid actors of the country. Prabhas will hold the theatrical rights of Spirit in Telugu states as his remuneration and the agreements for the same have been done long ago. Sandeep Reddy Vanga is the director and T Series are the producers of Spirit. The theatrical business of Prabhas in Telugu states is expected to be more than Rs 150 crores.

If the film does well, Prabhas will sure pocket Rs 200 crores and this would be the highest for any South Indian actor. Sandeep Reddy Vanga is riding high with the super success of Animal and he will start working on the script of Spirit next year. The filming commences in October 2024 and the film will release in 2025. Prabhas plays the role of a cop and Spirit would be a jackpot for Prabhas for sure.

0

Salaar has recorded an All time top3 weekend for a Tollywood film but the numbers are way below than expected. The film has raked in about 310 Cr gross worldwide which is behind Baahubali2 & RRr which are at 502 Cr & 470 Cr respectively. The film did best business in Nizam, Ceeded. Its decent in Karnataka though it should have been at record levels. North is also decent considering the clash. TN & Kerala are disappointing. Overseas except for North America is disappointing. The film is now aiming for a Good Tuesday as Monday will be a done deal with X-Mas holiday.

Prabhas proves his Potential again

0

After the release of Baahubali, Prabhas became a pan-Indian actor and all his films got a wide and record release. Unfortunately, Prabhas picked up films like Saaho, Radhe Shyam and Adipurush. All these films failed badly at the box-office but all the films reported record openings. Same is the case with Salaar. The film was lauded by critics but the word of mouth among the audience is mixed. But Salaar is running with packed houses all over. The film is super strong in Telugu states, North India and in USA. The film is underperforming in Karnataka which is a surprise.

Prabhas proved his potential again and he looked outstanding in the action episodes of Salaar. The actor should do impressive films in the coming days to save his craze and stardom. The actor has Spirit with Sandeep Vanga and Salaar 2 with Prashanth Neel. He is also shooting for Maruthi’s untitled film and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD.

Salaar Day1 Worldwide Collections – All Time Top4 Opening

0

Salaar has taken all time top4 opening for an Indian film beating Leo. The film has collected 147 Cr gross approx worldwide falling a bit short of the 150 Cr mark. Films that are above Salaar are Baahubali2, RRR & KGF2. Opening in Ap could have been better for the film when compared to Nizam which was on record levels. Overall apts the film is behind RRR & Baahubali2. The film took good opening everywhere else though Tamil Nadu could have been a lot better with so much of capacity left.

Salaar Movie Review : Mind Blowing Action Blast

Salaar Movie Review

Salaar Movie Review

Telugu360 Rating : 3/5

Story:

In the year 1947, in the dystopian city of Khansaara, a bitter feud plagues the Royal Family. To prevent further chaos, the three factions agree to a ceasefire. Raja Mannar (played by Jagapathibabu) desires to crown his son Varadaraja Mannar (Pruthviraj Sukumaran), but his advisors conspire to eliminate Varadaraja. Deva (Prabhas) is Varadaraja’s childhood friend, vowing to provide assistance whenever needed.

Fast forward to 2017, Deva finds himself protecting Aadya (played by Shruti Hassan). The mystery unfolds as to why Deva has been tasked with safeguarding Aadya. The film also delves into how the 1947 feud in Khansaara city was ultimately resolved and explores the intricate connections between the past and the present.

Analysis:

It is important to clarify that “Salaar” is a standalone movie and has no direct connections with the “KGF” series. Director Prashanth Neel has maintained his signature style in “Salaar,” including the dystopian setting in the city of Khansaara. Fans can expect to see familiar elements such as the distinctive visual tone, weaponry, and high-energy mass elevation sequences that Neel is known for in his filmmaking.

The movie begins by showcasing the strong childhood bond between Deva and Varada. The director dedicates ample time to introduce Deva, the ‘Man in Exile,’ who has made Assam his home and is now protecting Aadya. The first half of the film moves at a leisurely pace, gradually building the story. However, the 30 minutes leading up to the interval are incredibly captivating. Director Neel skillfully harnesses the masculine qualities of the macho star Prabhas to create a riveting cinematic experience during this period. The interval sets the perfect stage for the second half, which unfolds in the fictional city of Khansara.

The Khansaara world presents a mixed experience. Immediately after the interval, a multitude of characters and relationships are introduced, which may cause some viewers to miss important details. The storytelling of the Ceasefire story, inspired by Game of Thrones and Mahabharata, could have been executed more effectively. The Narang episode and Climax episodes standout in the second half

The Bhuvan Gowda’s cinematography 100% follows the KGF’s dark tint. Ravi Barsur’s backgroud score elevates fee scenes, not upto the trendy BGM at times. Hombale Films has delivered commendable production values.

Director Neel has drawn inspiration from Rajamouli’s patterns on multiple occasions. The influence of scenes like the “Chatrapathi” interval block and “Baahubali” beheading scene is quite evident in the movie. He daringly set Khanasaara backdrop for second half, the stage has been set perfect for Salaar-2

Positives:

– Massive action episodes
– Prabhas’s macho heroism elevation episodes
– The rustic setup
– The world of Khansaara sets up a different backdrop

Negatives

– Mixed bag second half
– The emotional aspects in the movie are not adequately developed
– The dark tint might not be everyone’s favorite

Verdict: “Salaar” is an epic-scale action film with 5-6 moments of ultimate heroism. While there’s a sense that something is lacking, Prabhas’s macho presence shines brightly. The first half is solid, but the second half is a bit of a mixed bag. It’s worth a watch!

What is the worst thing about working with Prabhas?

0

What is the worst thing about working with Prabhas? This is the question that came from SS Rajamouli when he interviewed the team of Salaar. Prithviraj Sukumaran was quick to replying saying “You cannot diet when Prabhas is around. One day my family came to visit me and I have a nine-year-old daughter. You won’t believe, that day I had to book one more room to store the food. The next day, I asked Prabhas if he thought that my entire family including my uncles and aunts are here” told Prithviraj Sukumaran.

In more incident, Prithviraj Sukumaran told Prabhas that he is missing his cars in his hometown and Prabhas immediately asked to use his Lamborghini. It is impossible to diet when Prabhas sir is around, Prithivraj concluded. Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran are playing close friends in Salaar, an action drama directed by Prashanth Neel. The film is hitting the screens on December 22nd.

Prabhas opens up about his transformation for Salaar

0

“Deep emotions will be seen between the characters in Saalar,” says Prabhas while talking about his biggest release, Salaar Part One: Ceasefire

Hombale Films is unquestionably one of the most prestigious content creators in the Indian film industry. The prominent production house is gearing up for the grand release of their next biggest venture, Salaar Part 1: CeaseFire, starring Baahuali star Prabhas and directed by KGF director Prashanth Neel.

In a recent interview, Pan Indian Star Prabhas threw light on the premise of the film, and his character in the action entertainer and said, “Deep emotions will be seen between the characters in ‘Saalar’; the audience will see me in such kind of character on screen for the first time.”

Since the film is just one week away from its grand release on December 22nd, 2023, lead actor Prabhas in a recent interview was asked about the workshops and preparations he did to get into the skin of his character in Salaar Part One: Ceasefire. Responding to the same, Prabhas said, “I and Prashanth just worked together, as I told him what I was thinking and he told me what to do. I told them some body language, which I thought was right for the film. He also liked some parts. We used to talk before any important session, and he used to tell me that because of the way I was looking at the character, it could be said that we used to workshop together while relaxing, having fun, and talking.”

Continuing the same, Prabhas spoke about his working experience with director Prashanth Neel and said, “This is the best director in 21 years of my life. I was very curious about when he would call me for the shoot. More than going to the set or performing, I wanted to spend time with Prashanth. This was the first thing that came to my mind, and I had never felt this in the last 21 years. I felt this pain for 6 months. I think within a month we became very close.”

Pan India Superstar Prabhas was asked in an interview about the time period that went into the shoot for his character in Salaar. Responding to the same, Prabhas said, “Prashanth is a hero-director; as I said that I would come at this time, he was comfortable with that. Once actors come on the set, like me, Shruti, or Prithvi, there is no stopping anything. They just focused on our shots. This way, I never had to wait on the set, even though we used to tell them that, Prashanth, we would wait. When I reached the first schedule, I don’t remember what time, but they stopped everything, saying that the entry of the hero had started and now we would only take the hero’s shots. Then I told him, No problem, I have waited for half of my films.”

Continuing the same, Prabhas shared details on the transformation for his character in Salaar and said, “I haven’t done anything special; Prashanth wanted me to build muscles for the character, so I changed myself accordingly. This was a common thing for me. There was not much transformation that I have done in the last 21 years.”

It is to be noted that the film Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire shows the brotherly bond of two characters. The action entertainer has a duration of 2 hours and 55 minutes and was given an ‘A’ certificate by the censor board. The movie has several bloody combat scenes, violence, and battle scenes. The ‘A’ certificate news is evidence of the film’s scale.

Hombale Films, Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire will star Prabhas along with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu. Made under the direction of Prashanth Neel, the film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur. The film will be released in theaters on December 22, 2023.

Shocker: Prabhas’ no to Salaar Promotions

0

Salaar is all set to hit the screens on December 22nd and the team is yet to kick-start the promotions. The trailer of Salaar was out last week and the expectations are huge on the film. Everyone is waiting for Prabhas to promote Salaar but here comes a shock for the team. Prabhas is not in a mood to promote Salaar and he said no for the promotions. The makers are left in shock with the decision of Prabhas. No promotional event will be planned and a video interview with all the actors would be recorded and released before the release.

There are reports that one more trailer will be out but there is no update about it for now. The team is quite confident on the film and the buzz surrounded is huge. The film has two songs and it is unclear if they will be released before the film’s release. Salaar is directed by Prashanth Neel and is the story of two friends played by Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Hombale Films are the producers of Salaar.

Record runtime for Prabhas’ Salaar

Prabhas is all set to test his luck with Salaar, a high voltage action entertainer directed by Prashanth Neel. The film completed all the censor formalities and the final runtime is locked to be 2 hours and 55 minutes. This is quite lengthy when compared to the ongoing trend. But a film of a star can be lengthy if the content is impressive. Prashanth Neel’s previous movies too are quite lengthy. Prabhas will kick-start the promotions and the action trailer of Salaar will be released during the mid of this month.

Salaar features Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy and Bobby Simha in the lead roles. Made on a massive budget, Salaar will hit the screens on December 22nd and Hombale Films are the producers. Prabhas is currently shooting for Kalki 2898 AD.

Salaar second Trailer Loading

0

Not everyone is happy with the trailer of Salaar as it lacked the glimpses of action. The team of Salaar is in plans to release one more trailer on December 16th and there are speculations that the trailer would have a lot of action. The action trailer would be close to three minutes and the makers will make an announcement about this soon. Salaar is in the final stages of post-production and the film is aimed for December 22nd release. Prabhas and his team will kick-start the film’s promotions very soon.

Keeping the rumors aside, Salaar theatrical and non-theatrical deals are closed for record prices. The film will also release in two parts and Prabhas will join the sets of Salaar 2 once he completes his current projects. Salaar is carrying mighty expectations. Prabhas is in plans to bounce back after a series of disappointments. Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sriya Reddy, Tinu Anand and Bobby Simha will be seen in other important roles. Hombale Films are the producers of Salaar.

Salaar Trailer gets Mixed Reactions

0

Salaar is the most awaited film among the December releases. The trailer is out last night and the reactions are mixed. The trailer failed to live up to the expectations as it had a lot of drama rather than action. Though the film hints of having a high voltage action, the makers were focused on narrating the plot and the glimpses of the action stunts are never shown. Prabhas is trolled for his dialogue modulation in the trailer.

Salaar is the story of two friends Deva (Prabhas) and Varadharaja Mannar (Prithviraj Sukumaran). Deva comes to rescue Mannar at the right time and the first part of Salaar is hitting the screens on December 22nd. The trailer also has the shades of KGF in presentation and there are a lot of actors like Jagapathi Babu, Tinu Anand, Bobby Simha, Eswari Rao and Sriya Reddy in prominent roles. Shruti Haasan is the leading lady and Simrat Kaur will sizzle in a special song. On the whole, the trailer of Salaar failed to live up to the expectations. Hombale Films are the producers of this big-budget attempt.

Prashanth Neel reveals some interesting updates of Salaar

The expectations are huge on the film and the makers closed the deals. The theatrical rights are sold for massive prices and there is a huge task to be done. The film is releasing on December 22nd and the film will have a short span of two weeks to recover the investment. There is a mad rush of films for Sankranthi in all the languages and the new releases will replace Salaar and the theatrical run of the film would be impacted irrespective of the film’s performance.

It is clear that the huge stake of Salaar has to be recovered completely in two weeks. The film is expected to take off a terrific start but considering the huge stake, the film has to perform exceptionally well in the first two weeks. Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki too is releasing during the Christmas weekend and the film will sure turn out to be a tough competition for Salaar across the North Indian market. The team is pretty confident on Salaar and the trailer will be out on December 1st. We have to wait to see how Salaar performs in the short span of two weeks.
