Raju crossed limits: AP tells Supreme Court

1

The Jaganmohan Reddy Government defended its actions with regard to the arrest of rebel MP Raghurama Krishna Raju who later complained of ‘custodial torture’ by the AP CID. The AP regime filed a 119-page affidavit in the Supreme Court to support its actions of filing a sedition case against Mr. Raju. The YSRCP Government asserted that the MP was creating disaffection and disharmony leading to violent clashes between castes and religions in AP.

The sedition case was filed in response to a whole lot of instances involving Mr. Raju’s destabilising activities but not one or two incidents. The MP crossed all limits despite the fact that as a representative of people, he should maintain certain standards. It was found out that the MP has conspired to destabilise and dislodge the Jagan Reddy Government by joining hands with some other persons in the State.

The Jagan regime told the Supreme Court that it should leave the bail application plea case of Raghurama Raju to the lower courts in AP just like how it did with regard to the arrest cases of Hardik Patel, Akhil Gogoi and others in the past.

The AP Government’s affidavit in the apex court was quite contrary to Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy’s recent statement that their Government had nothing to do with the Raghurama Rama arrest or subsequent happenings.

Army clinic sends rebel Raju report to Supreme Court

1

The Army Hospital in Secunderabad has completed the medical tests on YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishna Raju. It has already sent the report in a sealed cover to the Supreme Court of India. Along with this, the medical examination was videgraphed from start to finish. The video footage was also sent to the Apex Court.

The Army clinic conducted the tests under the supervision of the Telangana High Court Judicial Registrar D. Nagarjuna. He was present at the time of the tests and videographing of the tests. The Army doctors have also taken the services of a skin specialist from outside to find out if there were any psoriasis related injuries on the MP’s legs.

The Army doctors kept the whole procedure a top secret. The media was not allowed anywhere near the hospital. All sources of communication were cut off. Judicial Registrar Nagarjuna handed over the seale cover containing the Army clinic’s report to the High Court, which in turn immediately sent the same to the Supreme Court.

The Army doctors said that MP Raghurama’s medical condition was stable now and there was no harm to his health. The MP would be allowed to stay at the hospital till further orders from the Supreme Court.

Conspiracy to kill me: Rebel MP at Army Hospital

YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishna Raju is going to undergo medical tests at the Army Hospital in Secunderabad at 11 a.m. today. The AP CID police shifted him to Hyderabad around midnight. The Supreme Court has issued orders allowing Raghurama to remain in the Army Hospital for further treatment even after the tests. The Army doctors will now confirm whether the red colour and swellings on his legs were caused by beating or they were just psoriasis skin disease.

Mr. Raju spoke a few words to the media and his well wishers at the Army hospital. He said that he was being politically victimised and targetted. There was a conspiracy going on to kill me, he said.

The family members have also called on rebel Raju at the Army Hospital. They expressed concern over the way a political opponent was ill treated in Andhra Pradesh. All this attack was only because Mr. Raju was not fulfilling their demand for withdrawing the Jagan Reddy bail cancellation petition in the CBI court.
The MP thanked his lawyers for bringing immediate court relief to him. The Supreme Court has also ordered that the MP may continue his treatment at the Army Hospital till his full recovery and that period should be considered as a judicial custody.

GGH ‘confusing report’ on leg injuries of rebel MP

The Government General Hospital (GGH), Guntur, has given a mutually self-contradictory report to the court on the injuries allegedly suffered by Narsapuram MP Raghurama Krishna Raju. The GGH superintendent and other doctors involved just gave a straight report that they could see no injuries on the legs or on the body of Mr. Raju. At the same time, these doctors have mentioned in their report that there is inflammation on his legs and red colour.

However, the GGH doctors have not explained why the red colour has come up and what would have been the reason for the inflammation. They went to tell the court that there were no outward physical injuries on the MP’s body. While Mr. Raju was saying that he was feeling pain because of the injuries, the doctors have declared him as hale and healthy fit to be put behind the bars.

Based on the GGH doctors’ report, the AP CID wasted no time to shift Raghurama to the Guntur sub-jail. His lawyers once again approached the High Court and got immediate shifting orders to the Ramesh Hospital. But their efforts did not bring good results.

Mr. Raju’s lawyers waited till late in night. As the MP was kept in the jail itself, his lawyers said that the CID officers were violating the orders of both the CID court and the High Court of Andhra Pradesh.

Raghurama reading Naidu script: Peddireddy

1

Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy has launched a scathing attack on Chandrababu Naidu and Raghurama Raju. He said that Chandrababu Naidu was doing secret deals only to defame the YCP Government. Raghurama Raju was acting like a ‘bantrothu’ for the yellow media which was carrying out all nonsensical statements being made by him.

Peddireddy blamed Rajugaru for ‘reading out’ the script already given by Chandrababu Naidu. The yellow media was distorting the YCP leaders’ statements deliberately. Everybody knew how Chandrababu has earned his property.

Peddireddy challenged Raghurama Raju to resign and go for fresh election if he had really his own strength in his constituency. It was only with the support of CM Jagan Reddy that Raju could become an MP. Otherwise, he would not become even a ward member.

Peddireddy further said that Raghurama Raju had no moral right to criticise the Chief Minister. Chandrababu was not acting like a responsible Opposition leader in the State.

RRR plea for a non-Christian, non-Reddy officer

5

CM Jaganmohan Reddy has ordered a CID probe into the Ramatheertham idol desecration case. The CM is facing all round criticism for not taking prompt action in this one respect. It is because the cutting off of the head of Ram idol has hurt the sentiment of crores of the Hindus all over the world.

Now, YCP rebel MP Raghu Rama Raju has asked the Chief Minister to change his order. RRR said that a non-Christian and non-Reddy officer should be ordered to investigate the incident. He gave his own apparent reasons for his demand. It is because the Chief Minister is a Christian, so is the Home Minister and so is the DGP.

Very alarmingly, even the CID head Sunil Kumar is a Christian. RRR has come out a with a timely doubt whether justice would be done to the Hindus if such an all Christian heirarchy is there on the top. What more, even the District SP is a Christian. All this is giving rise to further doubts among the devotees.

After a long time, Raghu Rama is once again stirring controversies. It is solely because he and his family are ardent devotees of Lord Rama.

Rebel YSRCP MP Raju denies he’s severely ill, says doing fine

1

Categorically denying reports that he is severely ill, rebel YSRCP MP Kanumuru Raghu Rama Krishna Raju asserted that he is rather doing fine and flayed his political detractors for wishing that he does not enjoy good health.

“I am in completely good health and will be in touch with you,” said the member of Parliament from Narasapuram in Andhra Pradesh’s West Godavari district in a video message to his supporters.

His comments assume significance as he recently underwent an open-heart surgery. “My surgery at Mumbai’s Asian Heart Institute by Dr Ramakanth Panda was very successful. He performed a surgery on Dr Manmohan Singh as well in the past,” said Raju.

“I did not suffer any heart attack. Fortunately, I had a doubt and with the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara went for tests. A few blockades were identified, and as a precautionary measure I underwent a bypass surgery as a long-term solution,” said the 58-year-old politician.

Following his surgery, many of his detractors who were not happy with his open rebellion against Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy started attacking him in the virtual world.

“Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party’s social media people have become very bad. They are claiming that I am severely ill. This is what they wish — they wish for my illness,” Raju claimed.

Reiterating that he was doing fine, he pointed out that he had already given some interviews (in the media), which will be followed by more in the coming days, signalling his gradual return to public life.

“Recently, I gave an interview for 45 minutes. Today, I gave another interview. In the coming days, I will give more interviews,” he said.

Meanwhile, he claimed that Amaravati will remain the capital of Andhra Pradesh. He pointed out that the months-long protest against the trifurcation of Amaravati will complete a year on December 17.

Unlike his earlier video messages that are allegedly heavily laced with sarcasm, innuendos, and histrionics, Raju kept his video message sober this time in a low voice.

Meanwhile, YSRCP leaders from West Godavari district claimed that Raju had not visited his constituency for a very long time. “Any YSRCP candidate could have won the 2019 Narasapuram election propelled by the CM’s leadership and vision. It was our misfortune that we elected Raju who seldom visits the constituency to resolve people’s problems,” a local leader told IANS.

They alleged that Raju was giving unsolicited advice to the Chief Minister on the Eluru issue when he himself didn’t care to resolve the drinking water crisis in his own constituency.

Jagan takes sweet revenge but RRR gives strong counter

1

Pro-YCP and social media began ridiculing rebel MP Raghu Rama Raju, saying that he has been finally removed from the Subordinate Legislature Parliamentary Standing Committee Chairman post. This issue has been raging between Raju and YCP for over three months. The post has a one year term which has completed now. RRR says that his Chairman term has expired now which is why the YCP got a chance to fill it up with its favoured MP.

Actually, this particular post was not given to RRR last year in the YCP quota. He used his own individual influence in BJP Delhi leaders and got it. As such, Rajugaru says that this post is his donation to Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy and his party MPs. He further clarified that nobody has removed him from the post. He asked why the ruling YCP could not remove him three months ago when YCP MPs also gave a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker.

Raju mocked Jagan Reddy, saying that his post was now given to a non-Reddy which was okay. But, there was a new angle. This time, Jagan Reddy gave this post to a Christian. MP Balashowry is preferred because of his religious background.

RRR also ridiculed YCP threats to disqualify him. The rebel MP mockingly said that very soon, it would become clear who would actually be disqualified.

Om Birla gives shock to RRR

2

In a big shock to YSRCP Lok Sabha MP from Narsapuram Raghurama Krishnam Raju, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Bira has removed him as the chairman of the Subordinate Legislation Committee. A notification to this effect was released by the Lok Sabha Speaker.

The Lok Sabha Speaker appointed YSRCP Lok Sabha MP from Machilipatnam Vallabhaneni Balashowri as the chairman of the Subordinate Legislation Committee with effect from October 9. Additionally, the Lok Sabha Speaker appointed members to the Subordinate Legislation Committee, including Telangana Lok Sabha MP Nama Nageshwar Rao. Nageswara Rao ran infrastructure company Madhucon Projects. Other members of the committee include

The Lok Sabha Speaker cracked the whip on Raghurama Krishnan Raju after a group of MPs led by Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy moved a disqualification petition against Raju for allegedly violating the party discipline by openly commenting against the party president, opposing the policy decisions of the government, making wild allegations against party MPs and even questioning the status of the party. The YSRCP MPs submitted a memorandum to Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla in New Delhi. The memorandum was signed by YSRC MP from Rajahmundry Margani Bharat on behalf of president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Vijaysai Reddy also had issued a show-cause notice to Raju. On his part, Raju has questioned the legal sanctity of the show-cause notice stating that the show-cause notice was served on YSR Congress party letterhead, while the part’s name as per the EC records is registered as Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party. Raju had also moved the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking to stall the attempts of the YSRC to disqualify him from the Lok Sabha membership and suspend him from the party.

With the Lok Sabha Speaker removing Raju as the chairman of the Subordinate Legislation Committee, it remains to be seen if the Lok Sabha MP will be disqualified. That is the big questions doing the rounds in political circles.

The CBI had recently booked Raju in connection with an alleged loan default case. The CBI had registered based on a complaint from Punjab National Bank, against the borrower, power company Ind Barath, allegedly causing a loss of approximately Rs 826 crore to Punjab National Bank and other consortium banks.

Raju has been critical of the YSRCP government over a host of issues, including the government’s plans to introduce English medium education in all the government schools, opposed the auction of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam’s properties, and raised the alleged diversion of sand for sale in the black market. Raju often claimed that he was never given an audience by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss these issues.

Jagan met PNB chairman the day CBI registered case against me: RRR

2

YSRCP rebel Lok Sabha MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju on Friday stated that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 6, the same day when the CBI has registered a case against him with the regards to the bank loan he had raised from a consortium of banks.

The MP from Narsapuram also said Jagan Mohan Reddy met Punjab National Bank chairman Mallikarjuna Rao after meeting the PM. Raju on Friday raised doubts that Jagan could have influenced the PNB chairman to press a case against him.

Raju clarified that he had availed loans to the tune of Rs 4,000 crore. Of this, Raju claimed that he has not even withdrawn or used Rs 2,000 crore which are still in the account.

Without referring to anyone in particular, Raju said, “People who are facing corruption charges to the tune of Rs 43,000 crore are levelling corruption charges against me. My lawyers have advised me to file a defamation suit against the media which has been writing baseless allegations,” Raju said.

Further, Raju said he is not filing the defamation suit against some people who will very soon be going to jail. “They will be sent to prison in three to four months,” probably hinting at Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The CBI on Thursday searched the residences and offices of Raghurama Krishnam Raju for alleged loan default of over Rs Rs 826 crore. The CBI has filed a case against Raju and 10 others in the loan case. The case has been registered based on a complaint from Punjab National Bank, against Raju and 10 others for allegedly causing a loss of approximately Rs 826 crore to Punjab National Bank and other consortium banks. In the complaint, it was alleged that the accused had cheated the bank by siphoning off bank funds. Searches were being conducted at 11 locations, including at Hyderabad, Mumbai and West Godavari at the office and residential premises of the borrower company and other accused persons.

Raju had been vocal in criticising the policies of the YSRCP government. The MP had opposed the government’s plans to introduce English medium education in the government schools. He criticised the TTD’s move to sell Srivari assets and alleged diversion of sand for sale in the black market. The YSRCP government had issued a show-cause notice and also moved a disqualification petition against Raju. He also filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India that the party was wrongly using the party’s name as YSRCP in its letterheads when it was actually registered as Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party.

CBI raids RRR residences, Raju says he has no knowledge

4

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday raided the houses of YSRCP Lok Sabha MP Raghurama Krishna Raju from Narsapuram. A special CBI team from New Delhi has swooped down on Raju’s two residences in Narsapuram and Hyderabad.

The CBI team raided the houses at a time the Lok Sabha MP is in New Delhi. The CBI has conducted the searches in a case relating to an alleged bank fraud. The alleged fraud involves Rs 800crore from a consortium of banks led by Punjab National Bank. Subsequently, the CBI registered a case under cheating and criminal misappropriation against 10 accused, including Raju and Ind-Bharat Thermal Power Limited company.

Raju had been vocal in criticizing the policy initiatives of the Jagan government. The ruling YSRCP had issued a show-cause notice against Raju and even moved a disqualification petition before Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Raju had been critical on a range of issues including, the government’s move to introduce English medium in government schools, non-availability of sand due to mafia, various omissions and commissions of the government.

Speaking to the media, Raju on Thursday stated that he has no knowledge of the CBI raids at his Narsapuram and Hyderabad residences. He said a false propaganda was being unleashed by what he called the “blue media” with an attempt to tarnish his image. Political observers believed the raids on the residences of Raju was part of the larger witch-hunting agenda of the YSRCP government. The CBI raids were an attempt to arm-twist Raju and instill a sense of fear among detractors.

PM studied in Gujarati medium, became global leader: RRR

1

YSRCP ‘rebel’ Lok Sabha MP from Narsapuram RaghuramaKrishnam Raju has unleashed a fresh attack on Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Making a scathing attack on the government’s move to introduce English medium education in government primary schools, Raju in his inimitable style asked Jagan Mohan Reddy, “The chief minister thinks if children are taught in English medium everyone will become like him. I remind Jagan Mohan Reddy that Narendra Modi studied in Gujarati medium and yet emerged as a powerful global leader. The constitution gave the freedom and liberty to people to study in a medium of their choice. It is fallacy to think that the ruling YSRCP can defy the constitution and rewrite it.”

Raju said it is unfortunate that the YSRCP government is even finding fault with the Supreme Court observations on English medium education in government primary schools. “The Jagan media is even directly attacking the Supreme Court. This is undesirable and most unfortunate,” he said.

Batting for mother tongue, Raju said there is nothing wrong if one learns English, but the foundation of primary education should be in one’s native language or mother tongue. “English is essential, but first learn Telugu. Please do not take away the fundamental rights of people by impose English education on them,” he said.

In April this year, the Andhra Pradesh High Court had set aside the order for government schools to convert the medium of instruction from Telugu To English. The Jagan government challenged the HC verdict in the Supreme Court seeking a stay on the HC ruling. The apex court had refused to grant a stay on the HC verdict.

AP police working in the interests of Christians: RRR

2

YSRCP rebel Lok Sabha MP on Saturday once again raised the Christian bogey stating that the state government is planning to orchestrate Dalit Christian attacks against him.

He stated that the Andhra Pradesh police is being used to further the government’s agenda to Christians the state by converting Hindus. He alleged “conversion drive” in Andhra Pradesh has become a serious issue and, if not prevented, may soon take a violent turn.

He called upon the Hindu community to thwart the evil designs of the powers that be to convert Hindus into Christianity and protect the religion.

The Andhra Pradesh police is being used to appease the Christian community and attack the Hindu religion, he alleged. Further, he accused the Andhra Pradesh police of not implementing the rule of law in true letter and spirit. He also stated that jungle law is prevailing in the state with the rights of certain section of the people being thwarted and taken away from them.

RRR changes name of party in MP office

2

YSRC ‘rebel’ Lok Sabha MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju on Friday changed the name of his MP office in Bhimavaram.

Raju has changed the name of the party on his office flexes to Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress from earlier YSRCP. Further, the rebel YSRCP leader also removed the pictures of party Rajya Sabha MP Vijaysai Reddy and TTD Board chairman Y V Subba Reddy from the posters and flexis outside the MP office in Bhimavaram.

Meanwhile, speaking to mediapersons in New Delhi, Raju slammed the YSRCP leaders for attacking the judiciary both within and outside the Parliament. “Winning a strong mandate of 151 members do not give the party MPs the freedom to attack the judiciary,” Raju stated.

In the past, Raju had challenged the show-cause notice issued by Vijaysai Reddy stating that the notice was served in the name of YSRC instead of Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress despite the fact that the Election Commission forbid them from using YSR as a party name. Raju had also complained to the Election Commission of India for the failure of the party to form a disciplinary committee.

On Friday, Raju also alleged that some leaders within the party are threatening to beat him up. “Some leaders are stooping low. They are making empty threats that I would be beaten up by hired goondas and rowdies. I am not the sort of person who will be cowed down by these threats. I have several powerful and influential people in support of me. I will come to Pulivendula to hold a meeting with more than 10,000 people. Is there anyone to question me there in Pulivendula,” he challenged.

RRR privilege notice against Nandigam in Lok Sabha

2

YSRCP rebel MP Raghu Rama Raju created a political sensation in Delhi by giving a privilege notice against his own party MP in Lok Sabha today. He submitted his notice to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla seeking action against YCP Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh. RRR submitted a copy of the video of the press confrence in which Nandigam Suresh has allegedly made objectional personal allegations against the rebel MP.

The AP politics reached a feverish pitch in Delhi during the ongoing session of Parliament for a variety of reasons. It has become a big challenge for both the YSRCP and its rival party leaders. Especially for CM Jaganmohan Reddy, it is posing greater challenges because of multiple controversies on Supreme Court hearings on speedy trials in MLAs and MPs cases, temple incidents and also hurdles for Amaravati Capital shifting.

Amid this head-on clash between different parties, RRR has got into a serious fight with the YSRCP on the issue of Amaravati and attacks on temples. This has irked the ruling party MPs greatly. Vijayasai Reddy and YCP Ministers have made lots of allegations against RRR but he did not make any big complaint against them. But now, Nandigam Suresh has allegedly made very personal level unparliamentary remarks that led to RRR taking the issue to the notice of the Lok Sabha.

Analysts say that the mutual mud-slinging between different parties in the Parliament have pushed real issues of the people of AP aside.

RRR accepts Balineni challenge to resign on one condition

1

YSRCP Minister and YSR Family Loyalist Balineni Srinivasa Reddy has challenged his party rebel MP Raghu Rama Raju (RRR) to resign and re-contest from Narsapur MP seat. The Minister’s challenge did not come as a big political surprise. But, RRR gave a surprise twist by accepting Balineni’s challenge. Rajugaru has offered to resign and recontest from Narsapur MP seat. He said that he was confident of his victory. At the same time, RRR put a small condition to Minister Balineni.

Can Balineni get CM Jagan Reddy to consider Narsapur byelection as a referendum on 3 Capitals? RRR asked Balineni whether he would be able to convince the Chief Minister to agree for the referendum challenge.

Raju’s challenge has indeed triggered a debate among political circles. Is RRR really confident of his victory in the present situation when the Jagan regime has kept all wings of administration under its tight grip? Usually, it is a well accepted fact that the ruling parties alway get an edge in any byelection.

Analysts say that in one way, RRR is also in the ruling party considering his closeness to the BJP top Ministers and leaders in Delhi. Moreover, he would be having greater advantage considering support from the Election Commission of India and other national level agencies. The same advantage that Jagan Reddy had during 2019 elections would go to RRR in case there is a byelection.

Seeing the present political mood, it would be really better and wiser for the CM and his Ministers not to take RRR’s challenges too seriously.

RRR’s letter to CM Jagan for all-party MPs meet

0

YSRCP rebellious MP Raghu Rama Raju (RRR) wrote a tricky letter to Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, asking for holding a meeting of Andhra Pradesh MPs ahead of the Parliament session. He pointed out that it has been a long-standing tradition for any Chief Minister in any State to hold such meetings. Such meetings would help list out various projects and problems that would require to be highlighted in the Parliament for getting justice for the people of the State.

Rajugaru was still claiming himself to be a part and parcel of the YSRCP. But, he was making appeals to the CM through the open media statements even on sensitive matters. RRR’s revolt began on the issue that the CM had not given him a personal interview to discuss people’s problems. Later, he raised his voice against sand shortage and its grave impact on all sections of people. Now, RRR was bringing pressure on the CM to hold all-party MPs meet to discuss AP’s issues.

Rajugaru is right that it would be possible to get a better focus on AP issues in the Parliament if the CM gives a specific agenda to the MPs regardless of their political affiliations. For chalking out that agenda, an MPs meet should have to be held. However, it is a well known fact that the Chief Minister would care little for the legislature houses. Even when he was the Opposition leader, Mr. Jagan spent most of the time taking part in his Padayatra rather than highlighting people’s issues in the Assembly. No doubt, RRR was conscious of these facts but still he was writing letters obviously to embarrass the ruling YSRCP in every way possible.

Jagan cannot own YSR: RRR

2

YSRCP rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju on Wednesday paid tributes to former chief minister late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy Garu on his 11th death anniversary.

Calling Rajasekhara Reddy as a great humanitarian leader, Raju said “he was everyone’s one” and that no single individual can claim ownership of YSR, as the former CM was popularly known as.

“YSR was a great leader. He did not belong to any single individual. He cannot be owned by his son alone nor any one individual can claim ownership over him. He was a people’s man, a people leader,” Raju said.

Stating that he is extremely devoted to YSR, Raju said ” I have kept the life-size Rajasekhara Reddy portrait in my house for the last 13 years as I genuinely love and admire him.”

Further, Raju also said that his admiration for Rajasekhara Reddy was such that he even named his grandson after the former CM. “Rajasekhara Reddy will aways be alive in the hearts of the people. He was a inspiration for many, one of the best chief ministers Andhra Pradesh ever produced,” he said.

Taking a dig at Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, Raju said YSR never named any government scheme after his name and instead named them after Rajiv Gandhi and Indira Gandhi.

Raju had earlier questioned Vijayasai Reddy on the showcause notice issued against him. He had stated that the show-cause notice lacked legal sanctity as it was served under the letterhead of the YSR Congress Party which was a violation of the Election Commission of India regulations. He brought to the notice of the Election Commission of India that YSRCP was illegally using the name ‘YSR Congress Party’ when another political party ‘Anna YSR Congress Party’ was already registered with the ECI.

Jagan is late but latest, says RRR

18

YSCP ‘rebel’ Lok Sabha member Raghurama Krishnam Raju has fired at Andhra Pradesh government yet again.

This time he sharpened his attack on Jagan. In a direct diatribe at the Chief Minister, Raju pointed out that 50 per cent of the voters did not want Jagan to be the CM and rejected the YSRCP.

He said by slapping cases against Ramesh Hospitals MD Pothineni Ramesh Babu, the Andhra Pradesh government had insulted the entire medical fraternity who have been working relentlessly in the fight against Covid. He slammed the Andha Pradesh police excess stating that foisiting cases against doctors has brought a disgrace to the entire department..

Raju condemned the atrocities on a Dalit youth, Vara Prasad, in Seethanagaram of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh whose head was tonsured by the police for opposing sand mafia in his native place.

The YSRCP MP took potshots at Jagan Mohan Reddy rather in his inimitable style using Telugu movie dialogues.

On Jagan’s reaction to the Dalit tonsure incident, Raju took a jibe at the CM “late ga ayina latest ga spandincharu” (even if the CM’s reaction was late, it was latest) taking cue from a movie dialogue. Raju said the late reaction from the CM came after the President of India himself took a note of the Dalit tonsure incident. “The reaction from the CM came after the Rashtrapati office pulled up the government thrice,” Raju noted.

Raju has often used movie dailogues to sharpen his sarcasm and wit filled remarks to fire at his opponents.

Earlier, Raju had used Rajanikant’s popular dialogue (Nanna pandule gumpuga vastayi simham Single ga vastundi — pigs come in herd , but a lion walks in solo) to hit out at his political critics.

Raju, who had not been seeing eye-to-eye with the Andhra Pradesh government over its policies. Earlier in a tongue-in-cheek comment, Raju said Jagan has more fan base than actor Chiranjeevi and that people will strictly follow if he makes an appeal to wear a face mask. “Jagan has more fans than Chiranjeevi. Hence, I appeal to the Chief Minister to start an innovative programme to bring awareness among the people. The programme should be a big hit like Chiranjeevi’s movies,” he stated rather sarcastically.

BJP following different stands for Telugu states: RRR

1

YCP rebellious MP Raghu Rama Raju (RRR) has begun making fun of the Bhratiya Janata Party AP unit’s line of thinking on different burning issues these days. First, he found fault with GVL Narasimha Rao on Centre not having a role in phone tapping. Today, RRR asked whether a so-called champion of the Hindu cause was having two different stands for Telugu States with regard to Ganesh festival celebrations. Mr Raju praised BJP Telangana unit President Bandi Sanjay for making a strong appeal to the cadres and devotees in his state to celebrate Vinayaka Chaviti while observing social distancing norms. For this, Sanjay has released a paper advertisement on how to observe physical distancing during festival celebrations.

Rajugaru has also spoken to his colleague MP Sanjay and told him how they both shared similar sentiments on the festival celebrations.
