RAPO’s Skanda Enters Safe Zone Already

Skanda marks the coming together of Ram Pothineni and Mass director Boyapati Sreenu. The film is getting a mass release on the 15th of September.

Coming to the topic, Skanda has done excellent theatrical business. It has done in the range of Rs 98 crores through the non theatricals.

The South Indian languages OTT and satellite rights of the film are with Star Network. Disney+ Hotstar is the OTT partner of the film. They have spent Rs 54 crores on the film’s OTT and satellite rights.

Zee Studios are with the Hindi satellite, OTT, and theatrical rights of the film. They hold all Hindi rights of the film and they’ve spent Rs 35 crores for the same. The audio rights have also gotten a good price. These rights fetched Rs 9 crores.

The overall non theatrical rights of the film have gone for Rs 98 crores. This is one of the career best non theatricals for Ram Pothineni. The makers are laughing their way to the bank as they’ve made table profits through this massive non theatrical business.

Power Packed Climax in RAPO’s next

Ram Pothineni teamed up with Boyapati Srinu for a power-packed action entertainer. The film with high expectations is scheduled for Dasara release, which is on October 20th, 2023. Boyapati and Ram seem eager to finish the shoot on time and they are canning the film sequences at a brisk speed. The latest update is that the film’s team has wrapped the climax action sequence. The fight sequence was shot on a specially built set at Vatti Nagulapalli, Outer Ring Road, Hyderabad.

Ram Pothineni shared the information through his social media account that they shot for 24 insane days for the climax action sequence. Boyapati Srinu is known for elevating the hero with his action and loud sequences and RAPO fans are excited about this. Boyapati is planning to finish the songs in the last schedule of the shoot. Sree Leela is the leading actress. Srinivasaa Chitturi is the producer of this big-budget film.

Sree Leela to play female lead in ‘BoyapatiRAPO’

Actress Sree Leela has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Telugu star Ram Pothineni in a film that is being directed by Boyapati Sreenu.

Taking to social media to make the announcement on the occasion of Dussehra, Srinivasaa Silver Screen, the firm producing the film, announced: “Delighted to welcome onboard the most beautiful and talented actress Sree Leela14 for #BoyapatiRAPO (sic).”

The production house also announced National Award winner Thaman as the music director of the film.

On Instagram, it said: “The Master of Chartbusters! Welcoming the sensational musician Thaman onboard for #BoyapatiRAPO. We are so happy to have you as a part of our team.”

Sources close to the unit of the film say that director Boyapati Sreenu has come up with a story loaded with mass elements and that both the producer and the actor were thrilled by it.The yet-to-be titled movie, which is tentatively being referred to as ‘BoyapatiRAPO’, will be made on a lavish budget by Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Pavan Kumar will be presenting the film.

Story:

Dr. Satya (Ram Pothineni) works at Kurnool government hospital, cross paths with the local don Guru (AdiPinisetty) . Vexed with the inactive police officers who afraid to take on Guru, Dr. Satya himself becomes IPS officer. Satya is posted to Kurnool as DSP, confronts with the menacing Guru. Rest of the story deals with the Satya, Guru’s actions to counter each other

Analysis:

Expectations are moderate to above the average on this film due to HIT audio. First one hour of the movie is fast-paced despite being a regular story. The director Linguswamy shows his strength dealing with mass elements mainly highlighting the villainy. Mass scenes offer some freshness from shot making perspective, but the honeymoon period is short lived. When the doctor becomes IPS, the movie goes redundant loops instead of racing up. Writing team had good opportunity to elevate the movie further as the foundation in first half was setup for the Satya Vs Guru war in second half. However, the film turns predictable and unappealing confrontation scenes spoil second half

Ram as a doctor looked innocent, and equally good as IPS officer.KrithiSetty as RJ Mahalakshmi looks wise is just okay. Color Color song is a routine hero introduction song. Audio hit songs “ Bullet Song “ and “whistle song” come in second half , both sets follow same color scheme anddances are good. AadhiPinisetty role is menacing as mafia don Guru. Devisri Prasad background score is not up to the mark. However, the songs are good.

Negative:

  • Predictable story

Verdict

‘The Warriorr ‘film is a mediocre one. First half of the film works for the masses, second half is not up to the mark.Ram and Aadhi did perform well. Entire movie runs on Satya Vs Guru thread, which turns as the major drawback.

‘RAPO meets STR in Chennai during promotions

Ram Pothineni is making his debut in Kollywood. The Chennai-born Telugu hero has acted in ‘The Warriorr’, which marks his Tamil debut. Directed by Tamil filmmaker Lingusaamy, the film’s promotions in Tamil have already begun.

Proficient in Tamil, Ram has been interacting with the Tamil media and is giving extensive interviews. During promotions today, Ram Pothineni met his dear friend Atman Silambarasan aka Simbu. They also took photos together, with RAPO looking dapper and STR looking rugged with his thick beard. These pictures are now trending on social media.

Boyapati RAPO officially launched today with a Pooja ceremony

The sensational mass director Boyapati Sreenu who was basking in the success of Akhanda has been recently announced that his next was with Ustaad Ram Pothineni. Today the makers kickstarted the project with a pooja ceremony.

Event was attended by many celebrities and the major trio. Sravanthi Ravi Kishore gave the first clap while Siva Rama Krishna switched on the camera. First shot is directed by none other than mass director Boyapati Sreenu. Script handover done by ‘The Warriorr’ director N Linguswamy and director Venkat Prabhu.

Keeping up with the trend, the upcoming yet-untitled film will be another pan-Indian project of Tollywood, and it will be made on a high technical values and bigger budget.

Boyapati Sreenu has come up with a commercial story, teeming with many heroic moments. It is said that both the producer and Ram Pothineni were impressed by the script. More details about the film, including names of the cast and crew, are expected soon.

Meanwhile, Srinivasaa Chhitturi’s Silver Screen is simultaneously producing Ram Pothineni’s other project, The Warriorr.
