Bollywood is shatttered with back-to-back debacles. Even the films featuring stars are not minting money. All the top stars are left confused about the choice of films post-pandemic. It was a cakewalk for Salman Khan and the actor scored a series of hits in the past years. But he shelved a couple of projects after pandemic. He even asked the directors of his upcoming movies to rework on the scripts and pushed the release to next year. The actor is currently keen to work with South directors considering the perspective of the audience.

Top Tollywood production house Mythri Movie Makers paid a huge advance for Salman Khan couple of years ago and the project is expected to materialize next year. The producers are keen to rope in a South director for the film after Salman Khan insisted. Salman Khan is also holding talks with Atlee for a family entertainer. There is no clarity about the project but there are strong speculations that the duo will team after completing all their current commitments. Atlee is currently directing Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Atlee will soon direct Vijay in his next. Salman Khan for now is quite interested to work with South directors.

Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan has slowed down after the coronavirus pandemic. He shelved some of the films and other projects are delayed. The top actor never missed an Eid release but he missed it this year. Salman Khan announced the release dates of two films for 2023. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which is currently under shoot is announced for Eid 2023 release. Farhad Samji is the director and Venkatesh, Pooja Hegde will be seen in other important roles. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is a comic entertainer laced with family emotions and action. The shooting portions of this film will be wrapped up by the end of this year.

Salman Khan is also shooting for Tiger 3, the third installment of the Ek Tha Tiger franchise. The film is directed by Maneesh Sharma and the film is announced for Diwali 2023 release. Katrina Kaif plays the leading lady and Yash Raj Films are the producers. Tiger 3 was earlier planned for release on April 21st, 2023 but it is pushed to Diwali next year. The film presents Salman Khan as a RAW Agent named Tiger. Salman Khan kept the sequel of Kick on hold and he has other projects lined up.

The Mumbai Police have granted a licence for a personal gun to Bollywood star Salman Khan following death threats in June against him and his father, veteran writer Salim Khan, official sources said here on Monday.

In late July, Salman Khan had called on Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar with a request for the gun licence, though the police had vehemently denied the same.

The application was routed through the proper channel, and after all formalities were completed last week, the licence papers were handed over on Sunday.

Following a hand-scrawled death threat to the father-son duo, the Mumbai Police had tightened security at their Bandra west residence and initiated other measures, while the actor moved for a weapon licence.

In early June, a note was recovered with a threat to the Khan celebs, “you will meet the same fate as Moosewala”, the Punjabi singer who was killed in May.

Bollywood star Salman Khan on Wednesday participated in Green India Challenge here by planting a sapling and urged all his fans to plant trees to protect the environment.

Salman planted a sapling at Ramoji Film City where he was shooting for his upcoming movie “Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali”.

He was accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP and Green India Founder J Santosh Kumar and his film crew.

The actor appreciated the mission taken up by the MP. “Planting trees is a very good thing. I don’t know why people take interest in cutting trees. It is said that when a man stops growing, you should plant a tree. Tree is a still man and a man is a walking tree. This bond is very important,” Salman said.

Underlining the importance of plantation, he said “wherever you have trees, you will have water”.

Salman said that every person should take the responsibility of the plantation programme and also take adequate care of the saplings until they grow big trees. It is unfortunate that human loss due to natural calamities, heavy rains and floods is immense, he said, adding that the only solution to check human loss is promoting massive plantations.

Santosh Kumar thanked the Bollywood star for accepting his request and joining the Green India Challenge. He said that Salman’s initiative to plant saplings will definitely inspire crores of his fans.
